While this coffee shop doesn’t look like much from the outside, the interior is delightful. There are vintage movie posters for cult classics and nerdy favorites. It was a very fun spot to be for a cult film fan. The honey latte is to die for. I feel in love with this particular style of latte in Hawaii several years ago and so far, the best honey latte I’ve found stateside has been at Wormhole. The donuts were delicious and they had plenty in stock even late into the morning. Very LGBTQ+ and vegan friendly.

I was told to come here by a friend, and I am very glad I did! I absolutely adore the whole aesthetic of the place, a vintage look that really sets the atmosphere! Great service, the staff were lovely and while the menu had some high prices- it was worth it for the experience. I would definitely come here again to enjoy the layout and the area surrounding this adorable cafe. If you are out exploring Wicker Park, stop by and give them some support!

Great coffee shop with super cool decor! Came here for coffee, and loved how unique and delicious all of the drinks looked! I ended up getting a ghostly trio latte, (white miso caramel and black sesame) and my friend got a koopa troopa latte (chocolate peanut butter) They had lots of vegan options which was great. Coffee is local and tasty. Make sure you have a mask, they are strictly enforced. There’s plenty of seating inside in my opinion, and the staff was very friendly. -1 star because the coffee was quite pricey, but I’d love to come back and try some other drinks!

This place would be a 5 star if they didn’t have such pretentious and genuinely rude folks working behind the counter. I was in with my girlfriend this last weekend and a couple came in without masks. They asked if there were extras behind the counter they could have when the man behind the counter blurted “oh my god, you’re not carrying a mask during a global pandemic? How embarrassing for you!”All politics aside, there is no need to be shaming anyone. The way this guy treated these customers was unnecessary, unprofessional, and just plain ridiculous.I will never support an establishment that puts others down and makes them feel small - and I hope nobody else does either.Shame on you, wormhole.

Came in for the first time since I live near by and saw they had good coffee and other options. We came inside and there was no indoor seating so we stood and waited to order while the staff was having a conversation, when they were done thats when we were taken care of. The decor is nice and the latte was OK, perhaps they were in a hurry to get back to their conversation. There is paid parking on the street. Ill probably stop by the order Wormhole thats further away, but will give it a shot.

Review Date: May 27th, 2015Let me preface this by saying I have two reviews for this place in my head. The coffee/baked goods would give this place a 2.5-3/5… but due to the 80’s nostalgic factor, I would give this a 5/5. So it averages out to about a 4/5.While browsing for things to do in Chicago, IL, I came across this nifty coffeehouse. It serves coffee and has an 80’s theme to it. So I figured I would give it a shot since it seems right up my alley. They have a very unique menu for drinks. It’s hard to describe, but I could only order what was specifically on the menu? So I grabbed a Peanut Butter Koopa-Troopa, thinking the Peanut Butter/Chocolate blend would be delicious. It really wasn’t. I also grabbed a muffin of some kind and that was ok.But where they lacked (imo) on coffee/food, they made up in the nostalgic 80’s theme. They have a freaking DeLorean… in a coffeehouse! On a couch was sitting an E.T. stuffed figure, so I sat next to him and just sat in awe. They really hit the nail on the head for decor.Maybe it was an off day. Maybe I was just expecting something different. Maybe a re-visit would nail this place a 5/5. As always, never subject your opinions to a review. Go and try a place yourself and form your own opinion.

I recently ate lunch with my father. Vegetarians and meat eaters alike ordered a number of dishes. I must say that we all had a good time. I finished with a cup of coffee and a delicious slice of cake, as well as beautiful food and outstanding service from the professional staff. The upstairs area was ideal for a cup of tea and a chat. Thank you incredibly much!

This place has plenty of character, and at least a few unique options for coffee drinks. I had the Cool But Rude and it delivered a pleasantly memorable coffee experience with strong hints of ginger and curry sauce. Health concerns aside, the overall taste was better with whole milk versus skim milk. Its also worthy to note that the decor inside the place was fantastic for any vintage 1980s fan. From the DeLorean from Back to the Future to the original Game Boy to an original Apple computer, there are plenty of bits of eye candy. Overall, Id certainly recommend trying this place at least once.

When I went to Wormhole Coffee it was as if I was transported to another time period by the decor that is inside of the cafe.I consider myself a coffee critic, I know a bad coffee from a good coffee quite easily, and I get picky if the title of the drink says it is cinnamon or nutmeg I then expect to taste that in my coffee. After taking in the neat decor of the cafe, I went to order and I got the Honey Bear Latte to go and it still had cute heart on it, and it was sweet - but not overpowering. I know that I will be going back Wormhole Coffee, to try more of their menu items. Its a bit hidden on the block, but once you find it - you wont regret it.
