Great comic shop out here on Lakeview East! Just moved to the area back in September and only now Ive been walking around the area and checking all the crazy good and super friendly local shops in the area! Only just came yesterday, Sunday, and already love it! By far, well stocked with more recent and up to date stories and releases than other comic shops! Im a full on geek, dont get me wrong but work keeps me from being able to keep up with all the new stuff so you can imagine I was surprised to find Captain Marvel as the Sorceress Supreme! Definitely coming back!
Fantastic selection of all sorts of books. Strong back issue selection and massively impressive 75¢ filled basement. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Great store, friendly staff and customers. Amazing selection of back issues
Great comic shop. We visit whenever were in Chicago.
Havent been in a shop like this Im ...I dunno how long. Fun to revisit the past a bit and ended up buying some new X-Men stuff. Exciting to try something new (old).
The best Graham Crackers location! Why you ask? The answers lie within “The Vault”. . .
Decent selection of comics and staff that doesnt hound you.
I loved the endless rows of comics for under a dollar
An amazing shop with an equally amazing staff. They have a huge selection of current books from the big two (Marvel and DC) as well as a great selection of indie and local work by Chicago cartoonists. If you’re looking for any book in particular be sure to ask and I’m sure they will be able to help you hunt it down! And if you stop in, make sure to check out all of the awesome 50 cent comics in the basement!
Always friendly and well stocked. Check out the basement for some great deals!
A perfectly splendid shopping experience every visit. Friendly, helpful & reliable staff, they always go out of their way to have a chat and recommend books that turn out to be exactly what I needed to read. xoxo
Fantastic and friendly service, and so very helpful!
This a great store and it is due in no small part to the manager Jake Pierce. He consistently goes above and beyond to help me get whatever it is I need.A great store with an even greater manager and crew.
Great selection of comics.
Great selection and clean atmosphere for all my nerd needs.
The store is very clean, well stocked with the latest books as well as all the back issues you could ever want. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable about the latest issues and movies that are coming out. So if you like comic books, posters and statues come on down and give them a try.
Great store, super friendly and helpful staff, well laid out for social distancing. A real find!
Love that they keep track of the issues youve bought already so you know what youre missing.
The staff are so helpful and kind! Jake in particular has been great every time I’ve gone in.
With two children and this being on our walk to and from school every day we have to go in once in a while. We are not a big comic family but my daughter is getting into them and shes gotten some kid and teenage comics. They have a large assortment of comics - more than I could even imagine going through, as well as manga and tons of other various toys, pop figures, etc.A good place to pick up a gift or just to browse some really cool stuff. The staff have always been very nice and we will keep coming back.
Awesome selection and super friendly staff!
Very friendly staff and fair prices for comic books.
Super organized, lots of stock, including independent and more. Friendly staff, very welcoming.
These guys/girls are the greatest here. From manager down to the newest employee. They make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. I personally have the pull and save, on over 10 comics which saves me money every time. They always keep my first edition selection waiting for me all the time. There is no better comic book in Chicago period. Unless you go to another Graham Crackers! But this is my store 4 life!
Great store. They have a fairly extensive inventory of current and back issues plus the ability to network with all of the other Graham Cracker locations and The Graham Crackers web site. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. And an awesome program where kids get free comics for good grades on their report cards. Dont miss the bargain basement where you will find Box after box of 50 cent comics!!
Definitely a great selection of comics. I’m originally from Indianapolis and I was able to find Issues that i needed for my collection that I wasn’t able to find in any comic book shop in my city. Don’t be afraid to enter their basement, it is stocked with ¢50 comic books.
Absolutely a must stop for us every time we visit Chicago. Nothing in our area compares to the selection and staff. Jake and Blake both give great recommendations when your looking for a new story line. They are both very knowledgeable of all the product in the store. Love the bargains in the basement and so well organized. We even had to check out their comedy show. Loved it. You go in to shop and end up wanting to stay because you feel like your amongst friends. We will continue to make our 2 hour travel just to shop this store.
Very knowledgeable and friendly folks here. Theyll help you find anything you need, and they run a nice, accepting store thats very comfortable for browsing.
Massive stock of comics, including a basement of 50-cent comics, everything seemed in great condition. Relaxed atmosphere, staff dont bug you, so good for idle browsing.A small downside is that as far as I could tell the selection, while large, didnt seem to include much unusual stuff, and was very focused on mainstream comics. I would have liked to have seen some non-English content like untranslated manga (obviously this is niche stuff, but in such a large store surely theres a little room for such things?).Worth a drop in.
Its been the best and most kid friendly comic book store Ive been to so far. That opinion is based on the great organization in the store and especially how friendly everyone was. I hope they get Pokemon classes/battles soon.
Great store! This is the only place in Chicago I go for comics. The managers are super friendly and helpful, and one employee, Meghan, always has great recommendations and advice for what books to read. Also, they recently started having Magic: The Gathering nights on Wednesday and they’re always fun. I love this store and go every week!
Wonderful! Everyone was highly knowledgeable about my interests
I went to this Graham Crackers Comics this past weekend for their chain-wide back issues sale. They have a large and well-organized selection of back issues. Their basement has the largest selection of 50cent comics books Ive ever seen in one location. The staff was very helpful and very friendly.
This is my favorite comic shop to go to. Really huge selection of independent titles. The have lots of collectibles, and a whole basement filled with cheap comics. It’s really cool here because they do events like 24 hour comic. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Love this shop. Friend, knowledgeable workers.
This is my go to. The selection and personalities here are the best! Don’t forget to check out the basement!
I am a longtime collector, and I have been to many, many comic book stores. Without a doubt, thanks to the product selection and the incredible staff, this is one of the best! Blake and his crew are always helpful, funny & friendly -- and whenever I am looking for a comic that is not in stock they never disappoint. I strongly recommend this location!
Super friendly and helpful service. The manager Jake was great, answering my questions and even pointing me towards other series I might like. Will definitely shop here again. The bathroom was also VERY nice.
I spend so much time at this store! The staff is made up of some of my favorite people in Chicago. If you are looking for a specific book or just general advice on comics they will steer you in the right direction. The selection of back issues, graphic novels, pops, toys, etc is fantastic. The weeklies are prominantly displayed and everything is super easy to navigate. It seems like they take chances on and celebrate new and diverse books too, which is great if you’re looking for something off the beaten superhero path. I could spend hours in their 50 cent comic basement, which opens up into a cozy venue space where they host events! From comics to Magic the Gathering to comedy shows, the events tend to bring a good crowd of awesome nerdy people. You should definitely check this place out.
I enjoy my occasional visits to graham cracker comics on Broadway and Belmont. Jake has been especially helpful in helping guide me to find newer comics to add to my collection. Awesome service and a huge amount of cheap comics in the basement.
Great place for comic geeks and your average joe
Although I’m subscribed closer to my home, I often come by this specific shop for recommendations, variants, sales, hard-to-find back issues, and just a cool atmosphere and staff to talk to. Blake has given me tons of recs and comics I subscribe to now as well as helped me get back into reading comics as one of my favorite hobbies once again.A Chicago gem!
Ive been coming to graham crackers comic book store for years Dan always helps me find anything Im looking for hes always been a great help you would make a great supervisor I think it is they all treat me like part of the family when I come into the store thats great
Great store with obviously tons of great comics, but a nice selection tabletop gaming accessories and collectibles too. Has a great community vibe and hosts weekly magic the gathering tournaments, local dnd games, and an awesome comedy show twice a month.
Friendly and helpful staff. Chill atmosphere. Helped me get into and find numerous fantastic series.
I love this store! Blake is super helpful every time I come in and Jake is always helping me decide what to check out next!Such a great store!
I dont shop here a lot. I do enjoy just stopping by and window shopping around the store. They have a good selection of memorabilia and a very large selection of comics and graphic novels.
The staff at this location is super friendly! They were more than willing to talk to my two little kids about their Pokemon collection. They really made their visit special.
This place is really falling apart. I brought my Amazing Spiderman 1 to 16 to possibly sell. The kid said he could only give me 50 bucks each. I was like, come on thats straight out theft.Im sorry I couldnt give you anymore, he said. Well is there anyone else to look at them, I asked.Nah, you could go out to one of the stores in the burbs. He said.Yeah, okay, ask for anyone in particular, or any specific store.Nah, just go to the burbs, the space cadet said.Wow, this place has gone downhill since Shane left.
I would highly recommend a visit to this store while in Chicago. The sales clerks were friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. The store was well-organized and had a decent collection of back issues. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was kid-friendly. I would encourage a road trip and dont forget the Edgewater location as well.
Very impressive store but surprisingly unfriendly staff. Perhaps the employee was having a bad day. Lost this costumer though.
Great comic shop! Lots of back issues, graphic novels, and, of course, all of the new releases. Jake, Blake, and Dan have always been super helpful whenever I miss a book or need help finding a particular toy. Their collective knowledge is always helpful when im looking to get into a new book.Pro-Tip: on the first and third thursdays, Jake produces an excellent comedy show in the basement. I love that the store has stuff like this!
Great place with amazing staff
Great little comic shop. They have almost everything thats a new release from the last couple weeks and a ton of back issues. Theyll order you something special within a couple days, too, if they dont have it.
Amazing selection, great prices, friendly and helpful staff.
Being coming to this shop for a long time. Great for comics and a good amount of figures.
Cool place to come buy comics. Dan offers a decent conversation bout the topic. Will be back soon!
My favorite Comic Book store. The employees are very nice and helpful.
Ive always been surprised by how many stores for nerds/geeks there are in Lakeview. Ive also been consistently let down a little bit by most of them. This store delivers.I dont think Ive ever read a comic book but their organization and layout almost convinced me to buy one and give it a shot (Ill probably be back in the future). They sell a variety of collectibles from Funko Pop to buttons, all of which are organized very well.Overall Id probably travel from another area of the city to come to this shop. If you are in the area it is definitely worth stopping by and checking it out. They also have a lower level with discounted items, though I did not explore that area while I was there.
A wide variety of comics from both the past and the present. They also provide a wonderful collection of Doctor Who and Adventure Time memorabilia. My nerd soul is content the moment I step into this comic book shop.
Can’t say enough good things about this store and the chain overall. Been going to one location or another for years. Would highly recommend this store to anyone.
Super amazing customer service from Blake and took no time to fill out my order over the phone. Again, thank you so much!
Great place for comics and magic the gathering on Wednesday nights! Jake put together a really tight group and its the place to be on Wednesday.
This store has a great variety of comics both past and present. The prices for some comics are a bit higher than usual, but it is worth it for what you can find. The people there are very friendly as well and is a must stop for any fans of comic books and graphic novels.
Clean, well organized, and the staff is welcoming. Huuuge selection of back issues! Be sure to check out the basement level for all the .50 comics and cheap trade paper backs.
Its conveniently close to home so I end up going here for my comic fix. I prefer Chicago Comics, but this place is also good.
Best comic book store in Chicago, check out the dungeon for marked down treasures. Best deals and variety bar none.
Everything about this place is great! My absolute favorite location!
The absolute best place to play commander in chicago, by far. Dan is a great host. The comedy show ran by jake is fantastic and blake knows exactly what artist did the art for any comic i have a question for. Fantastic place
Great selection and super friendly, knowledgeable no pressure staff.
Has the comics I wanted and the staff is funny and are happy to help you with any questions or problems you have.
I love this store and its manager. They are the best!
Theyve got a huge selection of back issues and the staff is great.
A lot of books to choose from
Loved this store for my son
Great store. Bought so much I should have shipped it back home. Great comic store, and I used to own 5 so Im a TOUGH customer!
Really cool and cozy setting with some great guys running the place.
Great comic selection
Easily a great comic book store. Very friendly staff.
A very Good comic store with nice people but does not have major comics like The Flash or Silver Surfer
A warm, cozy comic book store with a huge collection. A handful of periferal products and a room in the basement for D&D.
The place is amazing! Love Wednesday commander nights!
Nice store. Good prices on comics. Employee was a little sheepish.
I spend a lot of time in their 50¢ back issue room, the people are always really great and friendly.
Grew up with Grahams in the suburbs and its amazingly fantastic to live so close to this great location with awesome staff :)
Great selection, and theres even a section for comics that are half off
This is my favorite Graham Crackers location! Jake and Blake are both super nice and really knowledgeable.
The Staff is Amazing Dan and Jake Have Been Wonderful
Fun store with nice staff and good selection of products aside from comics like magic cards.
Totally fun enviornment. Super friendly staff and a decent selection of rares. They had a $4500 Avengers #1 signed by Stan Lee there! Gave us free tickets to go see spiderman #2 as a gift for free Comic book day. It was the fourth comic book store my gf and I visited today on our, Free Comic Book Day Chicago marathon.
Must go here to get some good marvel stuff.
My daughter and I love this place. We come once a week.
Stopped in for the first time a while back, and was met with a polite staff who were helpful . picked up their news letter, and a key chain. I will be back.
