Our refrigerator was purchased from interstate Kitchen Supply about two years ago. Recently we noticed water collection on the bottom floor of the refrigerator. It took us tremendous effort with the help of qualified technician until we found the reason. The drain pan was substantially rusted and eroded which created a hole that leaked the water. This is a considerable manufacturer deffeciency for only 2 year old refrigerator. We want to pass this problem to a higher level official at GE factory to express our great disappointment of the GE products. We are looking for an explanation for such a deffeciency which is a health hazard. When GE called us back they said the refrigerator was manufactured in 2008 which we were not aware of since that the sales person at Interstate Kitchen Supply did not disclose to us when we purchased the refrigerator in 2014.Our recent findings suggest that this deficiency ofour GE model ( the Leaking rusted- pan) has been detected by several other customers like us. Thanks to the store representative of interstate kitchen, she has been helpful and cooperative to share with us the extent of this problem. She claimed that the store was not aware of the refrigerator shelf life and manufacturing year of 2008.
