Great low prices, their meat and vegetable selections are not that great, so I would recommend shopping elsewhere for that. All other products are reasonable priced.

All the cashiers I have experienced coming here are always so grate. Very friendly and greet you with a smile. I love seeing that in guest services people. Im a assistant general manager in a customer service field and I know how hard it is to come by grate customer service staff. I would like to really commend one of your cashiers Named Z (not sure if that is right but thats what it said on my receipt) every time I see him he seems always happy and very bouncy. The other day he made my 3 yr old smile very bright. The gentleman didnt know that him letting my son help put our things in the bag made his day. He talked about how he was a big boy that helps. Your really should give him a raise. Keep up the awesome work yall.

They were ok for the most part, plenty of parking, everything stocked well and neatly I personally just dont care for the area they were located in and it didnt help that a handicap homeless man was caught stealing and disrespecting the employees and cop on duty.

Save a Lot is a nice low cost food source

Nope, nope, nope!! Dirty, meat looked old, ground beef was brown.Was looking to get some ham, the bologna next to it looked brown and old . Didnt buy anything sorry. Worst save a lot I have seen!

Workers are nice the store on the other hand well ill just say if you want fruit or vegetables not here what I saw was rotten, the selection is minimal at best I know the neighborhood isnt great but shoppers deserve better

Has anyone else been getting sick from the food here? I feel like any time I buy any meat products, vegetables or fruit I end up sick later that day or the next day. I know its not me because Ill buy the same exact things at other stores and never have any stomach issues but for whatever reason when I get anything that is not boxed or canned from here I end up puking my guts out and running to the bathroom all day.

Evening, I recently bought 2 cans of spaghetti. According to the ad that was showing next to the products, it clearly says 2 for a dollar and yet I was being charged 69 cents for them both. It felt like I was being robbed by 40 cents. It may not seem like a lot to others but it is to me. I just want to let you know at firsthand on how I feel about this thank you.

Plentiful it was nasty no bags to put your loose produce in I had a question for the management they never came. It was just nasty as hell in there I will go to the one on Lorain before I go back in the one on Detroit just nasty

Save a lot though not my first choice it is the best in its class. That was until their new plan a gram. Must have been devised by a drunken man that cant see. There is no rhyme or reason to the layout. There is no continuity to the plan. Stores occasionally do change layouts hopefully in their minds there is an improvement and customers adjust. This is far from the case. Time to find a new place. Im not alone with this thought. The whole store was in a mumbling cart turning head shaking customers.

Its okay. I mean its Save A Lot. Prices on most things are great. Be prepared to bag your own things & bring your own bags & save even more $. Usually worth it to save some $. Can be difficult to shop here for some disabled folks though. Staff are friendly, place seems clean, & they get you through the line quickly. Oh, & I appreciate that they open @8am.

Save-A-Lot on W.61st Detroit has great cashiers, their polite and respectful and willing to help you if needed along the all the employees, always stocked up on the stuff Im shopping for, always kept clean and organized. Not once I went in there and didnt find what Im looking for, seen the store not organized, or got a rude cashier. I always leave the store satisfied. Ive been going there for about 3 years and never once left not satisfied. I definitely for sure give that store thumbs up!

Great products for great prices for fresh meat products, and ethnic food (Hispanic). Sometimes the non-local produce might disappoint you for fast spoilage (mangoes, peaches, nectarines). The place is very clean and has neatly organized shelves, as well as wide aisles that are very easy to navigate -- even for shoppers going opposite directions in the same aisle, friendly staff:-)

I personally like Save-A-Lot, they have good quality standard stock groceries at a very reasonable price. I like their meats and they have butchers on site. I usually find a really good value on something every time I go. I like their staff also, normally being very personable and helpful.

I prefer going to this one over the one on Clark Ave. which is literally 2 blocks from my house. The food seems fresher and the shelves better stocked. The employees also appear to be nicer.

I always find what Im looking for at Save A Lot I recommend it.

The staff is usually friendly & helpful, which is probably not easy when dealing with their clientele. Avoid going early in the month because 90% of their customers pay with food stamps & it is busy. Selection of food is poor & rarely changes. Grocery bags cost 10 cents, but they are very strong (durable)& make great trash liners for small trash cans. They seem to be open every day of the year. No frills here or any brands youve ever heard of--prices are pretty low.

Save a lot is not my favorite grocery store only because it has a limited selection. However, this Save a lot has hands down the best staff of any grocery store. I live a couple blocks over and frequent this store when i need a couple ingredients and every time i leave impressed by the friendliness and chattiness of the employees. (chatty in a good way. they always ask what im making, how my day is, etc) I hope management is recognizing what a great group of people they have working their registers and aisles

Very reasonable prices. Even though there may be name brands of smaller companies that most people havent heard of. This allows for lower prices so shopping you get more for your money. The several ones Ive been to there is always great parking. Register lines are not very long at all. You must either bring your own bags or purchase theres which are about 10cents apiece. So overall great grocery store.

I always love the Goya aisles, everything is easily accessible, rarely out of things, the lines are long but they know how to move em. Only complaint as a consumer is the quality of the produce, and sometimes the meats (but can be made tasty on a budget)

I really like this store. I live near here, its a life saver. I love not having to travel far to go grocery shopping. Its not huge. But thats what I like about it. Its easy to find what youre looking for. Get in and get out kind of experience. The fresh meat selection is really good and inexpensive. A lot of it is produced in Mexico. But idk meat is meat. There are things that they dont have, that u have to go elsewhere for. But its a sacrifice Im totally willing to make so I can save-a-lot by shopping there.

Very unhappy with my visit here. I seen 4 workers who was not on break just standing around chitchat with each other while there was a pretty busy store and only 1 checkout open. Then when I asked for help finding a item the employee acted as if they didnt know where it was located. Lastly everything through out the whole store was scattered and disorganized. I gave 1 star because I couldnt pur anything less.

Save a lot is a good place to shop for your many food choices at a good price, however the location on Detroit is no longer a place I trust for my day to day shopping. Shelves are always empty for weeks a t a time and finding even the most simple of things becomes a problem. I went looking to buy a 2 liter of diet Pepsi and could not find any. 2 weeks prior was the same thing and a few days before that as well. Most of the meat shelves were empty and the biggest surprise wa when I wanted to buy a 16oz bottle of regular Pepsi from the front coolers for my girlfriend for lunch, and it it was empty. Its sad since this is the closest save a lot to me but honestly if Im going to do a drive any ways might as well go to Walmart for my needs.

Everyone is so chill. Depending on the day maybe to chill if you are wanting to check out quickly. I like it things are a little cheaper here.

If I dont feel like going to the Giant Eagle on West 117th or the Daves on 25th, this is my choice for grabbing some quick groceries. They have a pretty good selection in the store, sometimes the lines can be long but everybody there seems friendly. Its a good place to get the essentials, some meat, some produce, and a lot of frozen items. Dont forget your reusable bags.

I like that it has signs for spanish speaking. I guess mainly because its an Hispanic neighborhood. No long lines, no long waits. Staff are friendly even when they were working short.
