Horrible environment!The manager is very unprofessional and rude.The woman who did my hair should never be allowed to work doing hair.She fried my hair,had to get it cut,the haircut looked like a 5 yr old did it and she did a style completely different from what I asked.No refund and no apology,the worst experience ever.I will never let them touch my hair again!!!Fire and rehire!!!!

The manager of the salon was the most unprofessional manager I have ever came across, she was very rude and extremely unpleasant!

They are always nice and professional. I can use my JC Pennys card there. Just Wish it had a more updated atmosphere. I have never had a bad experience there.

Went and got a partial highlights and a trim. Was there for 4hrs. My hair turned out great. But the salon itself was a mess. My stylist didnt even have room on the counter. And when washing my hair I was almost hit in the head with stuff falling out of the cupboard.

I would never recommend this salon nor will I ever return. I made a 12:30 appointment days ahead. I said I didn’t know any of the beauticians there; so, I didn’t request anyone. I arrive ten minutes early hoping that I could be taken early. No, Roxanne said she wasn’t ready yet. She worked on someone else’s hair (cut and blow dry). A walk-in was taken before I was. I waited for 40 minutes. An appointment should be respected more than that. A one color and cut on short hair should not have cost over $100. Surely, I was over-charged. I had driven 1 ½ hours to get my hair done and shop while I was in Clovis. There was no time to go to WalMart after waiting so long. I had to be home in time to pick up my dog from day care before they kept her for the night and charged me. She ruined my afternoon.

We had been going on and off for several years with no issues. Hair cuts where always well done and ladies where friendly. Recently Ive noticed a change in staff. Girls are friendly but the haircuts are pretty bad. We went in for a basic boys hair cut. First it seemed like they had accidentally over scheduled and we ended up wondering around for a good 30-40 minuets. When cutting his hair she was friendly and talkative. After she finished his hair looked awful. I asked her to fix it and she happily did as I asked but it still was awful. When we got home I had to fix it myself. My husband is more direct and his statement pretty much said it all - I hope you didnt pay for that hair cut. Overall nice staff but I hope they start to improve or get some more experienced stylist.

I went in today for a change, I wanted a very dramatic a line, I have tried a few places and they have never gotten it right, its always just OK. I got Roxanne, and she did everything absolutely perfect!! Their prices are great and the outcome of my hair was more than I ever could have expected, I will definitely be coming here again!!!!!! Booked an appointment and they called 30 min prior to the appointment to tell me it was going to take 5 hours to do my hair. She hadnt seen my hair even and I have never seen it take 5 hours unless it was screwed up and had to be redone. Dont count on them.

Worst experience ever. I went in for a deep conditoning treatment. The treatment lasted all of 15 minutes in the backroom by myself. The master stylist, that I paid extra for, used insanely high heat flat iron on my very fine hair and pulled so hard on my hair with the iron that I could feel strands breaking. I left there with severely damaged ends. Do not go here.

Had a great time. Im practically bald. Had my hair washed. Took two hours to cut my hair. This visit was better than my last. The last visit i came back with all my hair and that was a fast hair cut. The barber didnt even have to sweep after me. Had a great haircut for fathers day. Thank you jc penny hair salon.

Made an appointment for 4pm got there 15 mins early. The lady was not there. She came in at 4:10 still waited for another 5 mins. Not a word. Finally walked out.

I was a walk in and today Marcia Tinkle took care of me. I have long hair and wanted something different, but I didnt know what would look good on me, so I asked for her input. I think she did a great job and she is very friendly. The reason I knocked one star off, is because of the other staff members. One of the other stylists was washing her own hair, drying it and styling it, while customers were there. Which just didnt seem professional. There was a lady with short hair, blonde on top, that I am GLAD that I didnt get and wish wasnt there. When we were waiting, she was talking to the other girl about her multiple men and how she thinks she found one and he might leave her. She was talking about all this, while cutting another mans hair. Then WHILE I was getting my hair cut, she left, and came back upset and asking my hairdresser if she told on her and was complaining about how another hair dresser told on her and was a liar and got her into trouble. In front of me she said that she asked my hairdresser to just tell people that she went to lunch (when she didnt actually go to lunch), ect. She left, and my hair dresser said that she just wanted to cut hair and doesnt like drama. Ugh. The girl came back and started griping more, and fortunately left again. Sorry for the long story, but the point is, I liked my hairdresser Marcia. I dont suggest going there, unless you go to her, or somebody else that you know does a good job. Also be warned, if the blonde ones around, youll probably hear about her personal life, whether you want to or not.

I have been going to this salon for YEARS and these last few months have been horrible. In June, my grandma and I were sitting in the waiting area and watching one of the beauticians cut a man and little boys hair and she completely butchered it, cutting her finger in the process. We got up and left because I did not want this woman to touch my long, blonde hair. Then this last Monday, I made an appointment with Marsha, the master stylist and had been looking forward to it all week because I was going to do a complete consultation for my upcoming wedding. She was going to cut it and style it and probably make a ton of money off of it in the process. I drove in from Portales during 5PM traffic to get to my appointment. When I finally got there, the lady said that she had left because she was tired of waiting on me. I was only three minutes late and Marsha KNEW that I would be walking in slightly late because I when I made my appointment I told her that I would be driving in from Portales and it was 5PM traffic. THIS WOMAN KNEW!! The lady at the salon called Marsha and had ME talk to her because she didnt want to get into this. When I got on the phone with Marsha she said that she got a headache and had been there since 9AM this morning... I felt so crushed because this was my LAST chance to get my hair figured out before my wedding... I have tried calling several times and everytime I call they hang up the phone on me, even when I ask for a manager. I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my life and will NEVER be going back.
