I have yet to try the wheels since I got them today, but a quick ride around the block and Im happy.What really made me 5 star, is the service. The morning after I put in my request form, someone had contacted me about what wheels would fit in my price budget and what would be best for not only my bike, but my riding style too.Chris Murray was not only patient with me but once I was set upon the wheels I wanted they built them up in a few days.I would highly recommend them for their service and knowledge!

I had never heard of Elevation Wheel Company before, but happened upon their name when looking for someone to rebuild my hybrid bicycle rear wheel.I dropped it off, was told about 10 days for it, and it was ready within a week. The work, the employees -- they were all top-notch.Chances are extremely good I may make that slightly longer cross-town ride to have them do other bicycle maintenance for me.And, yeah, I have an el-cheapo hybrid bicycle, but Elevation Wheel Company didnt scimp on the quality or service.

I appreciate a mechanic with skill and attention to detail. The wheels done for me are awesome - one new build and one major repair - months apart.  They both keep running perfect. I wont let just anyone work on my bike, but Elevation has earned my trust. Perhaps just as important, he takes time for you and gives good advice. Definitely recommended.

Chris built me a set of race wheels for my road tandem. Had to make a one off axle to make them work without all those spacers and stuff. Did an excellent job in a short period of time. Worked perfectly. Can not stress enough how happy I am with the quality of his work.

Chris has both top notch service and excellent wheel building skills. His wheels have been down the Tour Divide and Colorado Trail on my singlespeed as well as aboard my fat bike. I trust Chris’s builds in extreme situations and for thousands of miles a year. Definitely recommend!!!

I took in an ultegra 6800 wheel to have a seal replaced and to tighten down the cone. The only thing they did correctly was replace the seal. I had to take back my wheel twice due to it spinning very rough, loose cone, and dust cap was incorrectly rammed down the axle. This shop has disappointed me in the careless manner in which they seemingly do not check anything after repair, even after being brought back.

I am a bigger (300 lbs) rider that needed solid wheels on a budget. Chris built a set of Blunt 35 36 spoke on a Shimano Deore Hub and I have ridden over several vast terrains that include hard pack, washboards, soft rutty, and sand rocky outlets. I love to explore and I am a photographer who uses the bike to do so. My wheels have been key to me exploring my neighborhood and many parts of the country in the past three years. My second wheelset Christ built took me across Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Michigan and Illinois....BY FAR one of the best investments I have made for my health and cycling needs!!!
