Helios is a fantastic bike shop. It is owned and operated by John, who is also its sole bike mechanic. Having one person take full responsibility for all aspects of repairs and service means that personal attention to detail is paramount, and John is a consummate professional.We brought him two mountain bikes for tune-ups, and we are very pleased with the result. One bike had a bent rear axle, and John hammered it back straight. The front wheel was bent far out of true, and John fixed that, too. The second bike rolls more quietly now, and the shifter seems more responsive. Whether you have a specific bike problem that needs repair, or if you have a vague sense that you bike needs TLC from a pro, John is your guy.

Took my Mountain Bike to get the tubes replaced, had bought them from Amazon and he put them on for me. Also had to have a couple more things done to it and it didn’t take much longer to have that done. Very polite and courteous and he was quick to let me know it was ready.

This is my new favorite and local bike repair shop! Great one person operation that provides quality fixes at a more than fair price. John will fix any kind of bike - road bike, mountain bike, or kids bike. Highly recommend.

My husband and his friend were out for a ride when his bike had problems. The owner of Helios was helpful and friendly and was able to get my husband back on his bike within a very few minutes. He even changed out the part and made sure it was working well. We are definitely going back to Helios for all our bike repair needs.

My Cannondale road bike was almost totalled due to the freak accident of my front derailleur mounting cracking in two. John at Helios Bicycle Service was able to develop a clever solution to the problem by rebuilding my drivetrain and made my bike rideable again (as well as coming under budget for the repairs!). The new drivetrain is performing like a dream! Helios is honest, personable, professionally excellent, and unpretentious, a rare combo in the cycling industry. I will definitely be returning to Helios for all of my bike repair needs!
