As a native, I grew up with a traditional Trek mountain bike, which was great for trails. Now that I’m two decades outside of that, I need something for getting around town. I made an appointment with Sole and he gave me all the details and information about a single-speed fixed bike. He’s really good at breaking down the firehose of product information, so that I could consume it and feel comfortable. His confidence, knowledge and passion is one of the reasons I decided to make a purchase, but in addition, I didn’t feel as though he was trying to upsell me a bunch of accessories or try to bleed me. The experience was refreshing and low-key. I will be recommending The Urban Cyclery in the future and encourage you to schedule a visit.

Overall an amazing and welcoming small bike shop. Great place for fixies, single speed, commuter and track bikes. They also repair bikes. Prices are good not super expensive are all. I support small business and this place is worth supporting.

Boy did I need assistance in finding the right bike for me! Hadnt ridden in decades and have physical issues. Fixed me up with the perfect electric bike, made sure I understood all the moving parts, adjusted everything just for me and sent me on my merry way! Ill be back and send my friends.

Sole is more than a professional bike repair specialist, hes the best person in Colorado Springs to drop your bike off with. Most people just fix your bike and are done with it but he treats you like a friend.

Im so happy I stopped into this little local shop. Im new to the cycling world and in all the other shops around town I was either ignored because I didnt look like a cyclist or I was pressured and intimidated the entire time. Im so happy to say that this was not the case at The Urban Cyclery. The owner Sole was absolutely amazing. Very welcoming and non-judgey. He asked me what I was wanting to do with the bike and showed me bikes that coincided with my goals...nothing more. (No trying to upsell me a bike with suspension when all I wanted is a commuter bike) He lets you test ride a few, explains different features of the bikes...just an all around positive experience. I highly recommend this place for both newbie and veteran cyclists. I know I will be going back for all tune-ups and extras in the future!

I am from out of town but called Urban Cyclery to get a gift card for some friends in the area who recently tied the knot. I chose here because the website gave a feel that its a local shop that cares about its customers. I sent an email and Ozzie responded right away to let me know they could arrange what I was asking for. The next day I spoke with Glenda who rang up the order and even offered to mail out the card with a personal note. They impressed me with how quick, friendly, and willing to help they were. If this is how they treat someone over the phone then the local neighborhood is in great hands.

We had a couple bikes that had been sitting around for a while and needed to be tuned up. Really appreciated Soles approach as he didnt just start replacing everything he did what was needed to get the bikes dialed and charged a totally fair price to get it done. Great service and great price!

Soles the man and I love everything he does. He got my bike back in shape and accomplished everything I needed, and then some, and still came in way under budget. His shop has an awesome atmosphere-always welcoming, never ever pretentious-and he does a great job of listening to your needs and applying his know-how to meet them in a timely and budget-friendly manner. I dont think Ill ever go to another store for parts or maintenance.

Urban Cyclery is amazing! I walked in with a head full of questions and walked out with thorough and honest answers to those questions. I even learned how to skid stop after a quick demo from the owner (way better than any youtube video). This is a top notch shop I would trust completely with any service or input on my bike. Definitely worth stopping in to say hello.

Wow! This place is impressive and when I say this place I mean Sole. Sole is the owner of this establishment and was extremely helpful today. I brought my little bmx bicycle in for some new breaks and to look at my seat post. The prices were great, especially for the area and compared to some other local bike shops. The prices as well as Soles helpful attitude will be bringing me back for years to come.

This is my favorite bike shop in town! The owner, Sole, is awesome and no-nonsense. The shop has a laid-back hip-hop art studio vibe and youll often rub elbows with the citys most talented artists while youre there - Sole is an incredible painter and holds court over a vibrant creative scene. In fact, theres a good chance youll even see him working on a new painting in the back if youre lucky.If youre into more of an underground vibe, this is your spot. You wont find dad-jean-esque mountain bikes or beach cruisers here (bc cruisers in Colorado whyyyy) but you will find a variety of fixies and plenty of banter about sneakers, Biggie, food trucks, and the latest video games. You may leave with a fresh new ride and maybe some paint on the bottom of your kicks.

I was psyched on getting a singlespeed/fixie for commuting around town. I went to this place with a bike in mind, and Sole helped me find exactly what I wanted. He also helped me do some damage control a couple days later after I popped a tire and took a tumble on the bike. I am glad that i purchased here instead of online!
