I was traveling through town on a road trip, and when I woke up the morning of my stay, I scratched my eye with a contact lens. I was in so much discomfort and also bummed that our adventures for the day would be ruined because I would struggle to use my left eye. Citadel Vision took me in within an hour and completely fixed it! I had a scratch as well as a particle stuck in the scratch causing the pain. The doctor removed the particle and gave me further instructions on how to help my eye, saying it would be back to normal by the next morning. I’m happy to report that I’ve felt fine since I left the office, even after the numbing agent wore off, and we were able to go on our adventures! Thank you from Austin, TX!

Dr. Roark and his staff are fantastic- they are truly compassionate, care about their patients, and overall make the optometerists office experience absolutely wonderful. The prices are great, but the service is unmatched! I truly feel like a part of the family being cared for by the staff at Citadel Vision Center.

Everyone staff wise was friendly and very helpful. I was willing to pay out of pocket for my eye exam. But with a little probing from the Dr. He let me know ASAP that Medicaid does pay for exams! So I saved $$ I love my glasses and maybe it was because it was slow but received my glasses the next day.

You wont find a better place, or better people for eye-care. The place is spotless, the people are 100% professional, and very friendly. The frame selection is nice, and diverse. The location is easy to get to.

1st time appointment and super impressed by how friendly the staff is! The optometrist was great and answered all my questions and really helped me explore my options for more comfortable contacts. The eye glass selection is great and cost is very reasonable. I will definitely keep coming back!

I had such a great experience with Dr Roark and his staff. Everyonw here is extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me pick out the perfect glasses and measured them to my eyes to make sure it would fit perfectly. I definitely recommend Citadel Vision Center!!

Love this place they treat you excellent here no insurance, insurance ot doesnt matter they will work with you my family has been with citadel vision for years the staff there is awesome and they know there stuff and how to help with whatever your needs are The Dr.s are on point there they take there time to do things right. Me and my children have gone to Dr.York for over 13 years. The are reasonably priced, the office staff is so nice and they are always able to get us in because their hours are so convenient.

Ive been a patient since 1992. Even though I moved in 1995, first to Greeley then Denver, I continued to see Dr. Roark because there is no one better. I have sensitive vision and he is always patient. If I ever trialled a pair of contacts that werent quite right, Dr. Roark worked with me to find something I loved.My family goes here now too and they love it.I always appreciate that I can schedule between 3 different locations depending on my travel.

My family has been going here for quite some time we have 17 years here in Colorado Springs. When I showed up today for my appointment, I thought I was covered under my insurance however, there was something wrong with the rollover and I was not. Leslie was fine with introducing herself, but then under the insurance verification part I dealt with Cassie. Cassie was rude and loud, stating that I was not covered under my insurance and that she could not see me today. Unless I paid $109 today for my visit. She kept repeating the fact, being loud about that I was not covered in front of other patients. I cannot believe that someone would be so Rude and condescending about the matter I will not be coming back. For a first impression I was not happy.

After 15+ years of being a patient at this location today I made what will be my last visit here. Scheduled my appointment with Dr. Roark, worked my schedule around his to make sure Im able to see him, get there to not only not be told that he wasnt there but to see a doctor who didnt even so much as introduce himself until I said No offense, but who are you? The appointment wasnt even 10 minutes long, didnt ask me if everything was ok, have a left eye issue that I would have loved to discuss but the doctor rushed out of there before I was able to. Then and heres where I was done, my insurance literally hasnt changed but somehow my bill was $60+ dollars more than it was last year and thats only with contacts and not glasses and contacts like last year. Leslie tells me I qualify for two boxes of contacts under my insurances and brings out the same prescription. I ask did my prescription change and she says that theyre now the same in both eyes. Each box has 12 pairs in them, these are monthly contacts so I question it as each box would only cover six months by that logic, so basically Im getting a years worth and not the two as indicated. When I questioned why the dramatic price increase this year Leslie seemed to be irritated, I mean how dare I question a rate increase of 3x what it was. Let me not forget that whoever documents visits is slipping, they were asking me about 2015, I was literally there last year at this time but guess what wasnt noted (Jeff even noted that someone was being lazy, probably shouldnt be saying that to customers but rather to the doctor himself). If I had known that I wasnt going to be seeing who I specifically scheduled with, was going to pay three times what I have in the past and was going to be talked to like an idiot by Leslie I would have taken my business elsewhere. Ive referred a number of people here over the years but that officially changes today. Ive come here all of these years not because of the significant amount of options but because of the care they took with their patients, thats clearly been lost; Ill now go where I can at least get a pair of frames that dont look like theyre being chosen for one demographic and get pushed through quickly, at least Ill get something nice out of the impersonable experience. So very disappointed with this experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Roark for 15 years. In addition to the biannual checkups, he performed both the pre-op and post-op for my and my wifes LASIC procedure. My children have grown up with Dr. Roark and continue to see him by choice. While I utilize the Galley facility, my wife and children use the Eagle Eyes North facility taking advantage of the Saturday hours.His staff are both friendly and knowledgeable.I highly recommend Dr. Roark and both the Citadel Vision and Eagle Eyes facilities for all your eye care needs.
