Ordered online because it said the product was in store and I could pick it up that day. After the purchase I received an email saying the product was not in stock and it would be delivered to the store in 7-10 days. I canceled my order immediately and receive an email saying the purchase was canceled. The money was refunded to gift cards that I was only given the last four digits of via email. I am unable to use these gift cards and have been trying to get usable gift cards refunded since March. If I get them refunded, they are going in the trash as I’d rather throw money away than give it to ace.
I come here all the time to get propane. I offered to walk Spiro thru the process since the hookup looked different( but overall a standard fitting) he refused to even try. Very incompetent and needs more training. Then told me if I didn’t like it to go fill up somewhere else. This is a work truck and I have jobs to get to I don’t have time to listen to excuses on why you can’t fill a simple propane tank. I even have a small adapter hose to make filling easier. I want to remain loyal to this Ace but not if I’m treated like this.
I placed a pickup order over an hour before coming to the store. It wasn’t ready so I just decide to walk in and grab what I need which was two small cans of chalk paint and clear wax. I walked in and saw everything I needed was on one shelf. This took me less than two minutes to grab and then I made my way to the cash register.I told the lady I had a pick up order and she responds with “No, go to the Help Hub.” Then yells at another worker to meet me there. I patiently wait at the Help Hub while the other worker is busy talking to another co-worker.He finally makes his way over and I tell him I have a pickup order. He says, “For what?” I point to the items in my hands and ask him if needs a confirmation number and he doesn’t reply. Just silence... awkward. He pulls my order up on the computer and prints out a receipt, has me sign it, and then I grab my items and say “thank you.” And again... silence. No “you’re welcome” or “Have a good one.”The staff at Ace are definitely not friendly and the whole experience was poor. Lesson learned: I’ll stick to Lowe’s. Pickup orders or almost always ready within 20-30 minutes and the staff are so much more kind. This is my first and last time I’ll be shopping at Ace Hardware.
This Ace Hardware is amazing. I walked in and within 1 minute someone asked if I needed help. The staff is so friendly. Jay helped me with some questions about my furnace. He took time to ensure I left happy. Great customer service!
Been to this location twice - never going back.First trip last year they had some sort of heavy metal death rock noise BLASTING over the speaker system.Second trip went in found some material I needed cut to purchase. Ask for assistance, heard clerk announce request. Waited about 15 minutes then left. Walking out I saw two different groups of employees yukking it up, not really working, and customers looking frustrated.Plus this place always has a dark cluttered appearance.NEVER going back to this location ever again.Went to the Austin Bluffs/Academy store, found same material, asked for help, employee followed me to the display and provided immediate friendly assistance.MUCH better run store.
I came here to buy a room cooler and they put overthere no return policy on cooler and fans and ask someone to atlest before i buy i can see how is work so one the old guy frnd beard say I can’t let u open this one supe bad experience such a worst service no one talk good to show u something and making a face like they doing a favor to the customer.
I always love coming to this store. Staff is always welcoming and accommodating. Location is super convenient as well
The people here are always ready to help you! Continue to do what you do. Youve gained a life long customer.
This place is great. Everyone is super helpful. Traeger dude is top notch and super reliable
This was one of the most insane experiences I have ever had. I was a single female shopper and was helped by a younger man who was very friendly and helped me find the 2 things I originally went in for. I was browsing at clearance when the owner Scotty approached and wouldnt let me just shop. He actually followed me around. I asked him about sanding tools and asked him for the isle number as I was looking at something and wasnt going straight to the sanding items I also didnt need a personal shopper for what I was looking for. I finished what I was looking at and headed to the sanding items, when Scotty appeared in the isle with me. At first he was extremely friendly asking what he can help me find and all the sudden he said I would like to get you what you need so you can leave I was very confused and asked if he just said that to me. He said yes this is my store and I will escort you out at this point. On my way out I asked the first employee who helped me for the corporate phone number ands Scotty replied go find it online I then asked the same employee of Scotty was the owner and got an awkward look and a nod. I am still in the parking lot in shock. I dont even understand what just happened and dont recommend this Ace hardware store to anyone ever.
Tracy and Derek are so nice to work with. Tried to prove match. Was hard because was online only order. Very helpful as always.
Good times at this ace. Team is always uplifted and helpful
The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. I told her I am medically not allowed to wear a mask for health issues. She demanded to see a letter from a doctor or i could go somewhere else. I am happily taking my money elsewhere and will not be coming back
Scott was amazing to work with. We had an issue with our Timberline 850, he helped us get bacj up and running with our grill and was even nice enough to throw in some free pellets!
They can cut and program a 2015 Subaru key! I already had a blank key w/fob from Amazon. Called all over town...no locksmith could do it, said go to the dealer. When I called Ace as a last resort a nice young man said he could do it but they didnt have any Subaru blanks, said hed have to order one. I said I had one if they would program it and he said sure. So I went there and a kid with an iPhone and a Duracell interface managed to do what 5 professional locksmiths wouldnt even attempt. And it only cost $40! Pathetic...just plain pathetic...
Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. MUCH better customer service than those Big Box home improvement stores.
While I like Ace Hardware, this store is a COMPLETE RIPOFF. I was at another Ace to purchase something that costs 9.99, but they were out of stock. This store had it in stock and it was 14.99. 30% more expensive than another Ace store about 10 miles away? I will NEVER EVER go to this store again.
Refused to return a defective product, after asking why, was forced to leave the store, as well as being told that Im no longer welcome at any surrounding stores. Would think this wouldnt happen at a store brand known for good customer service, at the expense of higher prices. Look out for incompetent employees when it comes to customer service, but even more so the hot headed manager with a short fuse.
This is a great neighborhood hardware store. They have many very knowledgeable and helpful team members available to help you. If you are looking for a nail, screw, bolt, washer or nut, they have just about any kind you need and you can buy just the number you need. They have a wonderful selection of seasonal products just before you need them. Stop by and let them remind you of what customer service should be like.
Ive come into this Ace Hardware for everything ranging from charcoal to drill bits to various nuts and bolts for my truck. The handful of times that Ive been unable to locate something myself, staff has always known exactly where it is without hesitation. My best example of that is that I was working on my old project truck when a small bolt in the hub assembly broke. I went to every auto parts store in town and not only did none of them have it in stock, none of them could even order it since it was such an unusual piece of hardware that hadnt been manufactured in 30 years. The last place actually recommended that I check out this Ace and told me if anyone in town has it, its Ace.Sure enough, I brought the broken bolt into the store and the gentleman who was stocking shelves in the hardware section led me right to an identical bolt on the big wall of hardware. While some of the prices on common items may be a little more expensive than the blue and orange big box stores, the quality of service cant be beat.
Good diverse selection at a reasonable price. Excellent customer service.
The staff at this location is unbelievable. Thank you Scotty and Nancy. I felt welcomed from the time I walked in the door. The outbreak of Cov-19 was going on when I shopped here and I noticed a nice table of supplies they had placed up front. They had plenty of toilet paper and other cleaning stuff set up right when you walked in. They offered me the toilet paper and I declined hoping someone who really needs it tomorrow will buy it, instead of me.... Thank you for having such a great staff.
Everyone always wants to think of themselves as a handyman.. but let’s be serious any time I have a project around the house, I could always use a little help. The staff at Ace is phenomenal. There’s never a time I’ve been in this location longer than 2 minutes before being offered for help. They might take a few minutes to look for a solution, but they always help out and are willing to go the extra mile to get it rightI’m not sure if there is a cost difference between them and some of the bigger chains like Lowe’s or Home Depot. But for me, the service they add is invaluable, and because of that they’ve become my “go-to” for any home repairThanks for all you do Ace Hardware! Keep up the good work!
I will always come to a place like this over the big stores. The staff is friendly and helpful. I came in once needing 4-5 things, 20 minutes before close, didnt know where anything was, and a salesperson walked me around the store helping me find everything. I really appreciated that.
POOR SERVICE, POOR PRODUCTS, OVERPRICED, WILL NEVER GO BACK.This is the first time Ive ever made a post about a experience with a company. I went to return a small bag of drip system adaptors this morning because after using 2 of them, they did not work. When I went up to the cashier with the receipt and said good morning, (she did not respond by the way), she was very rude and started counting the entire bag and said if 1 was missing she can not do the return. Who would know they have to bring the adaptor connected to a cut piece of tubing. While she was counting I even told her 2 were missing but she rudely continued counting and said 2 were missing and she couldnt do the return. I was so upset I just left the bag and the receipt since the product was defected. I think I recall my wife also had a problem with this same cashier a year ago. I work in retail and understand the demands and policies of the employees but this womens attitude and customer service is unacceptable and I will never go to Ace again.
UPDATE: I posted that I went through this store and not a single employee said a word to me. It was on Saturday, the day before Fathers day, and they had an unusually high number of employees for the special weekend and live radio remote happening later. A response from Aces social media department told me, You are more than welcome to walk up to an employee and ask for help! Hey social media employee, go back to customer service training. First thing you do when a customer has a complaint...you offer an apology not tell me what I should have done with an exclamation point. Second, have all the store employees go back to customer service training. I never said I needed help, I said no one said a word to me. A middle age father walked through your store with twice the number of employees versus customers and not one greeting. No Hi, How you doing today, Beautiful day, or acknowledgement of any kind. They were to busy with what was to come versus customers already there. I am your customer base, and yet I was ignored. Respond to that!
I honestly love this little store. They have the greatest selection! I often head off to one of the big stores and think maybe Ace will have it, and they always have. The people are great and helpful, and its so convenient. I plan to support this store with my business, maybe you will consider it too. :-)
This is, by far, the best Ace Hardware location in Colorado Springs!Every time I visit there, the feeling of being treated as a valuable family member is evident. It starts with Scotty, the Manager, and trickles down to every employee there. Always friendly, always with a warm greeting, always ready to help with everything my wife and I need. Kudos and thanks to Tracy, Terrell, Tim, Keith, Cory, Pam and the entire crew for always making us feel welcome and valued.I have been to all of the Ace Hardware stores in town, and Stetson Hills is always my first choice. Not the biggest, but definitely the best!
This is hands down the best ace I have ever been to. The staff is knowledgeable and they are very customer satisfaction driven. You often see the same people frequenting the store and there is a reason. They stock what people in this area want and need year round, seasonal, or specialty item (and actually know where its at in the store).Cant say enough good things about this store.Ace is the place.Excellent job!
Got my propane tank refilled using the coupon for 3 bucks off. Best deal i town on propane. They even did it for me as I needed to pick up a couple screws and some hardware. The staff at this locale is awesome. Warmer weather and a BBQ, what else is better.
Went in looking for parts to alter my sled for hockey. Mike got me squared away and gave me a great solution for my fix my problem. Hands down awesome person greatly appreciate the feeling ace gives you over all others
What kind of hardware store doesnt sell degreaser? They sold me some cleaner degreaser combo foam and it failed to do the job. Thanks for making me waste $10
Stopped by around closing sales people very friendly and helpful, at check-out the sales girl seen my husbands vets card in his opened wallet and gave him a military discount. Nice job!
This place is great! Has that home town hardware store feel. The store is always clean and the staff is friendly and more than willing to help
I have been helped over the last month by several friendly and helpful employees with paint samples and was told by two employees that my paint would go on sale this week. I went in to purchase today, was somewhat greeted by the cashier who could not bother to look up from her register and who proceeded to let me wait by the paint desk until I asked her if there is anybody who could help me. I was the only customer up front. She called the nice young man who mixed my paint and as I was paying, the same cashier proceeded to loudly inform me and everyone else in the front that my particular type of Benjamin Moore paint wasn’t on sale, made the young man go get the add, then loudly berated him and the other sales people for misinforming customers. She told me she’s giving me the sale price this time but if I wanted any more paint I’ll have to pay full price for it. She was rude and abrupt while checking me out today and I have encountered her rudeness previously when in the store. I work in customer service and additionally have friends who own several ACE Hardware stores in AZ. I know this is not the standard customer service usually expected of employees. I feel for her co-workers.
This store was pretty nice. They have a lot of items put into the store. Most of the staff was helpful. although they didnt have everything I was looking for and couldnt give me an answer as to when that stuff would be in. Ive been there a few times already, although there are other Ace hardwares here in Colorado Springs.
Helpful Hardware Store Not so much as advertised. I did get the help but I had to look for it. Was told what isle to look in and then off on my own. Place was cluttered but workable. I like Ace but this store could do better.
When I got to ACE Hardware store I called from outside to get my propane tank filled up. They said they can’t go out there in the rain and hail. I understand that part but when the hail stopped and it was only sprinkling they said not in rain. They just didn’t want to do their job. I went to another ACE Hardware store and they came right out to refill. In this location the workers are scared of a little rain in this location or just didn’t want to do their job.
Nathan was wonderful! He put on a full set in record time, but did not sacrifice quality to do so. The nails were thin, but strong and beautiful. He didnt butcher my nail beds and I had absolutely no cuts, burning it pain. My cuticles are still in tact even. I thought Id have to go through several nail tecs and places to find a good one but I lucked out and found the one Ill stay with in the first try. Prices were very reasonable too. Ill be back;
I absolutely love this store. The staff are always so kind and helpful! Stetson Hills Ace Hardware is definitely the Hardware Store to take the best care of you! If they dont have it they will find a way to get it or the best next thing.
Great place with very helpful staff. Ive never had to go look for help if I needed it. I highly recommend this location if youre looking for any hard to find hardware.
Love going to this ACE on occasion just to walk around. They have a well-stocked store with plenty of fun things to help out with the honey-do list. They also stock a great selection of BBQ items. We have a Traeger grill and go here for our wood pellets.Highly recommend!
Went there to buy mask was turned around at door buy employee whom told us to come back with personal protection gear. he was nice enough to also tell is everything they were out of.
Very pleased with this Ace Hardware. The lady knew exactly where my Miracle-Gro was and I was in and out in less than a minute. This is great for a busy lady. Thank you Ace Hardware.
I enjoy using the smaller hardware stores like Ace Hardware. They are able to provide better customer service.
Great place to go for all your hardware needs... great employees that always make you feel welcome.
I sometimes cringe to go here because everytime I need something they are closed or close to closing and they surely remind you when you walk in the door. Throws you off when your trying to concentrate on what you need. #1.There hours arent conducive to my needs most time. #2. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable most of the time. #3. $$50/50 pricing. Some items extremely reasonable some are outrageous expensive in comparison to other retailers.
Very friendly employees! You feel welcomed and at home! Definitely shopping there for any hardware needs!
300 types of pop, 72 different candy bars no sprinkler parts............... Every employee short of the cashiers behind the key counter or around the popcorn machine. Weve really tried to support this neighborhood hardware store. Thats hard to do when they dont stock actual hardware needs in favor of pop, candy and salsas. If youre looking for actual supplies to complete projects go somewhere else rather than wasting your time wading through the non hardware items to find what you actually need. If you need a bolt or screw you can find it here. Other than that dont waste your time.
My favorite home/hardware store around. I dont know how they can get so much in there, but they seem to have almost anything I ask for. Super friendly staff can always point me in the right direction. Thanks for being in my neighborhood!
Great, people always asking if you need help. Makes you feel special..
Always a nice shopping experience. Employees are always helpful when youre trying to find something.
Tim was very helpful! I was able to get everything I needed!
Very helpful staff. One met me in the parking lot to retrieve my cart. Caught me off guard for a second, but it was a nice gesture.
Love that place. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who are eager to help you solve a problem. Highly recommended.
Store is a mess with narrow aisles and the cashier was a bit rude. Wish i could get treager pellets somewhere else.
We love our ace hardware!!! Stetson hills has the best staff! They can point you in the right direction for whatever you need!!
I always enjoy going in there. Friendly staff and extremely helpful.
Good selection and friendly customer service. Parking is a little crowded and the store itself seems crammed compared to a Lowes or Home Depot, but Ace seems to have better stock of bolts and hardware than the other stores around and they have a pretty healthy variety of power tools, cleaners, and various items you would expect to find at a hardware store. They lack things like big appliances, fixtures/hardware for major remodels, and lumber, but you can get pretty much anything else you want.
Patient and friendly every time I have been in! They are always available to answer any questions. The best part about Ace Hardware Stetson Hills is that they were always focused on giving good service, and finding solutions. I would recommend them to anyone.
This store carries things you cant find anywhere else and the people who work here are very helpful and friendly.
Friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff. They always have what I need!
I went into this store expecting nothing special. All the staff was asking if I needed help and made conversation with me. I thought to myself that this was above and beyond the usual. The store layout is a little disorganized and everything is crammed into such a small space. I love the unique options they have that most other stores don’t. But the cramped and packed isles made moving thru this store a true task. The prices are nothing special or the store but the staff is what keeps it true.
I go in here so much that the staff remembers me and my roommate now and jokes about it when we go in. Theyre all very helpful, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. They are my go-to hardware store in The Springs.
They are great, much better than the big box stores, more like the neighborhood hardware stores of old.
This place is my local neighborhood hardware store. The staff they have there are the kind of people you want to deal with for your projects. The manager Scotty is fantastic.
Great hardware store with a small town feel. The staff is helpful and the selection of hardware and tools is good.
Very small store tucked away in a strip mall by king soopers. Not a huge selection of products at all. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Mike at the key counter is excellent! Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Horrible service. Very rude and not the slightest helpful on returns. Bought a $300 A/C and wouldnt let me return it. 10/10 never going g back and dont reccomend doing business with them at all
Great selection of everything and best hardware store to find a odd size replacement bolt, screw or other fitting.Prices tend to be higher than the big box stores, but the good news is you not need to go to the BIG BOX store !
Key cutter was excellent..great attitude and great customer service
Associates are attentive and knowledgeable. Took a while to get paint because there is only 1 associate manning the paint department at all time.
Small place has most everything you need. Awesome selection of Traeger accessories and products. If you need a nut, bolt, or screw...this is the place with tons of fasteners to choose.
Great store, has the products the big box stores do not carry. Very friendly sraff.
Christmas gift was acquired w/coupon & not what I needed. Went a few days post-Christmas to return & purchase new item - was told by employee I could wait to return and apply coupon to new item that had to be ordered. New item came in & store now says no to coupon. Manager Scotty went a little sideways in the dialogue & wouldnt honor coupon His own store employee stated c/would be honored. Scottys choice in the moment was honor his stores word [and the customer] or lose a customer for life. Thank you sir, for the not so subtle reminder 1. You dont have this customers back - you chose losing a customer. 2. Alternate merchants are the way to go - I drove a few miles & bought a like-quality 7 piece set @ $14 instead of Aces 2pc @ $15RE: Ace response/questionA: Coupon: 50% off one itemIt was $11.5 revenue, $11.5 off item purchasedIt was $7.5 revenue, $7.5 off for 2nd itemThe math was easy for Scotty et alDays later, Crickets.....
Clean store, organized well, decent selection, some prices are a bit high.
Dont waste your time. Wants to argue why I returned a cooler basically says she wont return my product after a day
Helpful, friendly, has one ofs in many categories. You dont need to buy 8 to get 1.
Love this particular Ace Hardware store. Very friendly and helpful staff
Great customer service, easy in and out. Good parking.
Good place to refill your propane tanks. They also sell old school soda of all things, love it.
This place consistently has what I need even when the big box stores do not. And the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly.
Overall the staff members are not friendly, I visit often and no matter when I go someone always seems to be put out by the fact a customer is entering the building and they are never eager to help! I stop in often because of convienence but no longer I will be taking my business somewhere else.
I usually go to the Austin Bluffs location and just happened to be near this store and thought I would stop by---totally different experience!!I will NEVER return!!I got bombarded by people asking if I own my home as soon as I walked in, couldnt get help for what I was looking for and when I did get help from who I think was the manager she had an attitude the whole time like I was bothering her.
Always helpful, always friendly, and always have what Im looking for. Scotty, Tracey, and the crew are the best!
Mike went above and beyond to help me out. It cut my stress level so much to go in and get help and fix what needs fixing. Thanks a bunch.
They close at 6pm?! Too early!
Good store but they are almost always out of the sale items
Nice size store with plenty of variety and friendly folks!
Great selection of hardware (screws, bolts, nuts, washers, etc.) In metric and standard, as well as reasonable prices on propane refills.
Great people wking there, good stock, all-around good stock, fair prices !
ACE is a great neighborhood convenience with just about anything you need.
Helpful and seemingly friendly employees but the prices arent as friendly.
Friendly and helpful. Staff was exceptional.
Great customer service. If you cant find it somewhere else, go to Stetson Hills Ace. Its way more than a hardware store.
Staff is always helpful. Incredibly priced propane tank refills!
Better customer service than any of the ACE hardware stores. However ACE only backs their guaranteed products, if you bought from that particular store and they can find the receipt in their rewards system.
Great service and staff! If they dont have it, u dont need it.
We had to get some window screens fixed and they got it done in the same day we took them in
