I used to think highly of Joe Machens but this place has gone down hill. They had me drive two hours to this place, just to tell me they couldn’t help me when I got there because of a certain issue. I went to a different dealership who was able to handle the same issue with ease and get me into the vehicle I wanted.

Had a pretty good experience. Micah Gant helped me get my first car, which because of the circumstances ended up being brand new. Though it was more than I wanted to spend it was a better deal than a used car with lots of miles.The only issue was they had too much energy for me. They tried to get me excited about spending my initial 15k budget, but if Im going to spend that much I am not going to rush it.
All staff were polite and courteous. They explained to me other things that needed done and worked with me on what I could afford to do that day and what I could do later. Every visit I have had with them has been great!

I was frustrated because this issue had persisted for quite awhile and began after getting it serviced by another place. I’m embarrassed to say, but I wasn’t the nicest as a result. They fixed my car and took the time to educate me on different things related to my vehicle’s overall “health”. They were never rude but were instead empathetic and patient.

Mark met me outside the door of the dealership, so I didnt have to wait to be helped. I am considered immune compromised. Seeing that I was wearing a mask and gloves, he was very willing to mask up during my visit. Mark helped me look at all my options for the van I wanted, and helped moderated a great trade-in amount for my old car and a price for my new van that worked with my budget. He took the time to show me the spare tire, the device charging options, the engine, the dashboard controls, and the information screen. He introduced me to other associates at the dealership, and he stayed after hours to finalize my trade-in. I never felt pressured or hurried. I only felt happy to get a great van amid this auto shortage.
I went in for an oil change and all wheel drive maintenance. I was greeted immediately as usual. The work was performed in a timely manner.
Run from this place. It used to be good but now not. I was going to buy a car here again. I was lied to several times by salesman Derek. They wouldnt negotiate at all, and tried to add a bogus package for 699 onto the price that included floor mats, nitro gas in tires and a lug nut key lock. After checking with nissan I was told those things are included with car and actually they were making me pay for a destination charge that the dealership was charged. Machens will always find a way to rip you off. I went elsewhere to an honest dealership

After a horrible experience at another Nissan dealership, I had high hopes for Joe Machens Nissan. Corey in the service department went above and beyond my expectations from the first time I spoke to him on the phone. Upon arrival, he listened to my concerns and answered my many questions without hesitation. He went above and beyond to explain what was going on and even took the time to show me the faulty parts on my vehicle. This is the 2nd car I purchased from this dealership. I drive 2 hours from St. Charles County Mo to do so. From the salesman, finance manager, to General manager I had an exceptional customer experience. My salesman Anthony Mullen is professional, knowledgeable and easy to connect with (very warm and genuine). I highly recommend this dealership and specifically Anthony. I am in love with my 2021 Nissan Armada Platinum Edition. Process is simple and quick, great deal provided for my trade in.
They were reasonable in our negotiations and as this was done completely over the phone I found things to be in order when I arrived at the dealership and we completed the transaction and I was on my way in just 45 minutes.
They run an ad for a cheap civic that just keeps being sold when you show up to look at it (but continues to show up in the search online week after week). Check the BBB reviews and complaints - its not just me. This happened twice to my family. Dont do business here. Management encourages dishonesty.

First and for most. Dealer added options are a joke and a rip off and shouldnt be thrown on every vehicle. This is the dealerships way of hiking up the price and using it as a sales tool. This is truly bad practice.1. Floor Mats - If I wanted them I can get them through Weathertec or similar site - Rip off for cost2. Nitrogen in the tires - Rip off. Anyone that has a brain knows that 76 percent of air is made of nitrogen and its a total scam. Why even try to push such a scam.3. adding on roof racks and a stainless steel cap to the muffler shouldnt cost $600. These options are another scam that your dealership uses to jack up prices for useless addons. - Offer them to the customer dont force them down their throat.Things like this make the car buying experience even worse.In the future I will tell everyone to avoid your business or the minimum tell them about the horrible practices you utilize to jack up the costs of vehicles. The only reason I came in here in the first place was you were semi local. I should have went to St Louis and worked with a better dealership.Two caveats were the sales person and the finance guy attitudes. I would work with both in the future if they were not with this dealership. Both very friendly but the sales practices used by the sales manager and the business itself were horrible.

Disappointing customer service at the parts department. I am a service advisor for Nissan in canada and asked for help from their team. I got nothing but attitude and whispers that im being rude as if i couldnt hear what they were saying while they put the phone down. I even heard them say should i even give it to her while I was waiting and provided all necessary info to get what i needed. Absolutely ridiculous, guess canadians are just nicer, EH! Disgusting reputation it left on my first impression.

Had an issue with my 2019 Nissan Rogue that was a warranty issue and I did not have to fight or argue with them to get the warranty to cover the issue. They looked at the car once, ordered the part, and had it replaced the following week. They were very accommodating to my work schedule and DJ the courtesy driver was punctual and arrived on time.

I came to JM Nissan fresh out of a bankruptcy with very challenged credit and Cristian, my sales person, and Trey in finance found the perfect vehicle that fit and exceeded all of my needs. Not only that, but I was treated with respect, which was a worry for me after a bad car buying experience elsewhere. Cristian and Trey had everything ready for me so I was in and out in about an hour! The team at Nissan exceeded all hopes I had to be able to get back on the road. I cannot recommend Cristian and Trey enough!

Christian was great to work with but the financing department was horrible. Trey was very nice but every time I would ask why my documents stated I was paying $1551 more than the price of the car (we never even negotiated, I agreed to pay asking price and had agreed to the payments they gave me before ever seeing the printed documents so I assumed they were giving me payments based on the amount of the car and extended warranty) he kept telling me and assuring me that Im not paying more that is just how they have to make it look on their end to keep the books straight. Then I got my title application and it said the cost of the car was again $1551 over what I agreed to pay for it and when I asked again they assured me I wasnt really paying that much. When I explained to Trey that the DMV didnt care about their books they were going to charge me sales tax based on that amount I would not be paying it b/c that is not what I agreed to pay for it and it is also not what the car was listed for online.Going around about this several times he promises me it is all just for the record keeping on their end and he would pay the sales tax difference for me (that should be my clue right there they were charging me more) on the $1551 b/c I refused to pay tax on something I wasnt buying. After getting my papers out a couple days later I got more upset as I looked at them getting ready to go to the DMV to register it looking at the extra $1551 they said I paid for it (not to mention the extra $500 they threw on my loan for GAP insurance I refused to purchase b/c I put such a large down payment I didnt feel like I needed it so that makes it $2051 now that they are charging me extra and no that doesnt include the extended warranty that is already accounted for) so email the GM Eric Olsen to explain and ask for or demand an explanation and refund or redo of my paperwork before I title b/c they still have NOT given me the check to pay for the extra sales tax. (I got a text from Christian 12 days after it was supposed to be ready saying they had it for me and only after I sent Eric an email and told Trey again a week before that. Eric blew me off and said it was correct and they could explain how financing works if I wanted to come in and talk to someone else b/c he was too busy. I know how financing works I also know simple math 1+1=2 HELLO people after you add the price of my car, extended warranty, document fees, temp tag fees you are still over charging me and I dont understand why you have to tell the DMV I paid extra for my car when I did not.Just a heads up to everyone out there, make sure you are NOT paying more sales tax on the car you buy from Machens Nissan as they will charge you more and cost you more in sales tax. Make sure your Title application ONLY has the actual price of the car NO MORE. You should only be paying sales tax on the amount of the car not their cost of doing business with the bank (thats what Trey told at one point, that was what the fees are for doing business with the banks and have to show it somewhere- hello, I show it in my interest rate and I dont care where you show it but its not going to be additional on my payments or my sales tax). They REFUSE to do anything about, if Christian decides to sell cars anywhere else I would buy from him again but NEVER from Machens Nissan. I would have given 1 star but since Christian was helpful they get 2
Went in on a Friday afternoon to test drive a new Sentra SR. We couldnt quite get together on a price but to my surprise I get a text on the following Wednesday saying We got there! When do you want to pick it up? I said see you at 4:30.Somehow Anthony Mullen and his team waved a magic wand and made it all happen.

I have had three oil changes at Nissan. Each time I call to schedule, i inform the service member that I have an extended service plan that covers oil changes and tire rotations. Every time i pick up my vehicle I get asked to pay. Does your staff not look these things up or not communicate with each other? If your staff does not pay attention to this detail, how many other details are you missing? Does not give me much confidence in your service department.
This was my first time financing a car, and I went in with a lot of hesitation not knowing specific terms, any precautions I should take, etc. (Google only helps so much, you know.) I made it painfully clear I needed a bit of grace and some time to process, and Tyler and Trey were incredibly understanding. I didnt buy the first day, and they didnt push me to make a choice sooner than I wanted. I can definitely say the entire process of buying and financing went smoothly all because they were willing to go at the speed I required. They answered every single question I had, and I cant thank them enough! I drove away with a great sales experience and a car I love.

Just bought an 08 v8 4runner from them. The nicest looking 08 4runner i have ever seen. Gave half off on an extensive extended warranty. I was 300 miles away and Tyler was really helpful to make sure I saw the car and new all the ends and outs before I drove up. I dont like to leave negative reviews even if I had a bad experience but this experience really took the cake for me. I was in contact with Ivan regarding a few used Nissan Rogues at this location. He was a great help and he responded quickly, answered all my questions and just provided fabulous service. The sales manager, Tom, however, was very rude and he was absolutely disrespectful. I understand that there are some prices that are non-negotiable, however, there is a proper way to speak to potential buyers and this was not a great experience for me. If one vehicle was not within the price I was offering, I would have liked to look at other vehicles but his behavior told me that he was not interested in selling to me. I wanted to look at some of the other dealerships around the area first before I purchased the vehicle at this location, I didnt even ask him to hold it for me, I simply stated that I wanted to look at the other vehicles first. His response to me leaving was unacceptable. He slammed his hands on the desk as he was getting up to leave, and made sure to crumple up the document with the pricing details within my vicinity so I would hear it. These tactics are outdated and they come across as unprofessional. I ended up purchasing a vehicle at the Ford location and they were more than willing to work with me and their behavior was exceptional.
Forrest was very helpful and explained everything to me. Any worries I had coming in we’re quickly extinguished. My car was serviced quickly and efficiently. I will be returning!
I was really distressed about needing to change vehicles. I didn’t WANT too, but I NEEDED to, and that put me in kind of a bad spot. I met Courtney on the lot to start looking at my options. Front-line service person, Michael DeJesus, did a good job. Would suggest in the future (especially when pandemic is no longer an issue) is to show me things like the battery that goes into the vehicle...give me some specs...cranking power, etc. I like to know things like that. Courteous area was cramped and no six-foot spacing among chairs--rather disappointed in that. JC dealership has a larger area to space out. My tech put his mask on when I entered service counter to discuss work, a tech sitting in the next work area (with no customer) sat looking at his phone with no mask on.? And, there was a customer clearly sitting in the courtesy area with no mask and no one from Machens made an attempt to get him to wear one. One reason I went to Machens in Columbia is because the non-masking is even worse at the JS dealership. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE, staff or customers, wore a mask when I was there in October. Michael was also good about an email follow-up on a couple of service questions. Please let him know I appreciated that.
Today I came in for a oil change and had an overall great experience. My service advisor was Forrest. He was able to get my truck in quickly and friendly. He kept me updated through the whole process. If you need service I would highly recommend Forrest!

In 2016 I was so proud to purchase a new Murano Platinum AWD for $45,000. A lot of money in my opinion for a car. I was hoping to drive it to at least 150,000 miles. I have had so many expensive issues with this car starting with the tires wearing out at under 35,000 miles. Last summer over over $3000 worth of repairs. The car has never been in an accident. Last week I took it in for an oil change which by the way I have always done service as required. Was told I have over $6000 worth of needed repairs! The car has 75000 miles on it. I sold the car this week and I will NEVER buy another NIssan. Im sure you will want to use my response on your website!

Kamari was very apologetic but I wasn’t concerned because I needed to sell my current vehicle. My old vehicle sold Saturday and my Titan is ready today. I’m super exited to get it tonight. So the wife and I went in to see what we could get on a recently paid off Nissan Rogue. I did go in with the intention on purchasing a vehicle if the price was right on my trade and end of negotiations. The sales rep was not pushy answered all of my questions very polite and courtious. In the end we got a great deal on a car I wanted in the end.
I had recommended 25,000 mile service on my vehicle, and I had my battery terminals cleaned and replaced as well as an engine air filter replacement. The work was performed very quickly, and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable.

We were appalled to find not a single Nissan employee was wearing a mask or social distancing. It showed a lack of concern for their coworkers and customers. As people who trust in science, we were grossed out that in the middle of a global pandemic with over 120,000 Americans dead, Nissan employees couldnt be bothered to help save lives or follow simple health guidelines. We wont be back.(EDITED TO ADD: Youll notice Joe Machens Nissans response below is full of excuses, as they even ended it with, We have done so much to ensure the safety of our customers and employees and are confident we did our part to help Columbia stop the spread of this virus. I hope youll allow us to continue to earn your business. A customer (me) literally wrote their employees were not wearing masks or social distancing, yet they feel theyve been responsible?
