As a younger person with a preference for contemporary furniture (clean lines, modern sleek style etc), I’ve found that the pickings are very slim in the DMV area. Ive visited up to a dozen other well-known stores in the past, and while some of them had great items, their customer service ranged from basic to impersonal to snobby to flat-out non-existent (especially the pricier ones) - basically what you’d expect from a lot of fancy-schmancy stores. When I discovered Divano a few years ago, their top-notch collection combined with the attentive, personable customer service completely surpassed my expectations. This place is such a breath of fresh air. The owners (husband-and-wife team) are such authentically nice people, a far cry from what you’re used to with other similar stores; they go out of their way to make you feel at home and give you the design recommendations you need, and so does their staff. And the pieces are beautiful and unique. Check out the beautiful glass table I purchased from them below. If you’re looking for a more modern/contemporary style in the DMV area, Divano is one place you must visit.

I was very disappointed with husband/ owner or this establishment. Ive been a loyal customer with this store for over 9 years and referred plenty of people. I recently purchased a bedroom set and one nightstand back in May. I went back to purchase the other nightstand and he told me the price was over $110 more than what I purchased the first one for. I asked why and he told me it was the manufacturer and it was nothing he could do. As much money as Ive spent with this establishment, to me he shouldve tried to work with me considering it was the same nightstand. Idk, maybe its just me. I was always taught to take care of the people who takes care of you...

My husband and I like contemporary furniture. We found an Elite Modern dining table table and chairs in a store in Northern VA but wouldnt be able to get it in time for Thanksgiving dinner. On the way back from VA we looked for other Elite Modern dealers and came across Divano Designs who were one of 2 dealers in MD. They had the table in the finishes we wanted but we had to order the chairs. After visiting their showroom, we ended up getting the new furniture for our living room and areas rugs there as well. Ginny and her delivery crew provided great service. Ginny also provided design recommendations. Well be back for sure!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Nitoo & his wife appear nice but are very shady business people. They never gave me a status update unless I called them for a $6,000 special order. They raised their price because of shipment fees (thats business right) but want the customer to have empathy for them (thats personal). Esther said my money meant nothing to her. Their customer service is terrible. I spent my money, elsewhere. Best decision ever and I dont have to wait another 6 months.

In 2015, I patronized Divano Designs after buying a new house. From the moment I walked in I impressed with the layout, variety & quality of their furniture and accessories offerings covering a range of prices.The owners were/very gracious, knowledgeable, friendly and patient as I asked questions and made purchasing decisions. I need up buying 95% of my household furniture from Divano. Every piece has remained in perfect condition & looks up to date.Today I stopped in & as I expected, their showroom was very impressive with many styles, colors and finishes.When I want something new or different Ill always make Divano Designs my first stop.

Ginny was super helpful; she spent a significant amount of time planning out the space with us and talking design. They have tons of books and furniture for every style so ask if you dont see what youre looking for on the floor. Highly recommend this store.

My wife and I have been Divanos customers since 2012 and almost every furniture in the house was purchased from the store. Their stock of wonderful furniture has always met out high taste and the customer service provided by the owners as well as the staff is second to none. There were some follow up items on our last purchases which were impressively attended to. As long as we are in this part of the country, Divano remains our Go-To shop.

We ordered a bedroom set that is custom made in California. We picked the material and powder coat finish. This store has very good quality merchandise. The service was outstanding and they follow up on the order and delivery was great. Make sure to give this store a try. We are very happy with the entire purchase and process. Great place for custom furnishings with a flare.

Divano Fine Furniture - I couldnt be happier!! I recently visited the store on a humble and was overwhelmed with the inventory. As I was leaving I came across the most perfect chest that I have ever seen. She was everything I had been looking for, style, quality, multifunctional, just a beauty!! I hadnt planned to make a purchase that day but, when you find the perfect thing youd been looking for, you just gotta do it - and Im so happy I did. I cant say enough about Divano, variety, quality, and custom designs. The delivery service was top notch and equal to white glove service. They installed the furniture and re-hung my painting so it was on scale with the chest. And returned the next day to repair a small malfunction. I had a wonderful experience and will return, for sure! (I tried to upload a picture but the funtionality wasnt working - sorry folks!)

Purchased dining room and living room set with accessories. Received outstanding assistance and recommendations on selection of fabric, etc. Long distance delivery from store to our second home was outstanding. Furniture delivered in original packaging from manufacturer and store without any damage, and unpacked in our home vice outside to minimize any potential damage. Delivery personnel were outstanding. Very very good shopping experience with Divano Designs, Columbia, Maryland.

Very unique style of furniture, not my taste but others might like. It reminded me of the type of furniture you see in movies from the 80’s where people are rich, like scarface.

This furniture store by far is one the best in price and customer service, they will do just about anything to satisfy or make you happy.They have furniture thats real and quality made also they have unique furniture that you cant point out from other local furniture.They are limited in sales staff but trust me you will be very pleased.Hint;see the owners and you will get top shelf service!!!!!

LOTS of things to choose from, all of it really high quality and doesnt break the bank. Sales people were really personable, which seems to be rare these days in the customer service industry (in my experience, they can usually be really pushy or seem to lose interest if you dont look like you have money), so thats worth mentioning. I worked with Kelly and she was really friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful experience ordering a new couch and recliner. The sales person spent a lot of time with us to go over every part of the customization. The set came in early and were delivered in perfect condition.

This store does not honor returns. Upon request to return, I was told my table was not returnable, but would be if it was a floor purchase. If you need to order a different color it wont be returnable. They will not point this policy out before or during the purchase, buyer beware! We ordered a $500 table that arrived in a box, was not custom, yet the color was very different from the catalog picture we saw when placing the order. Upon request for return the owner refused to listen and discuss my reason for return. Ill order from Arhaus or other reputable stores in the future where customer returns are honored.

Always greated when I arrive. They are willing to help and special order things that they may have sold out of. The owners mk you feel like family.

Early Last Month, I bought and attempted to take delivery of a leather couch set and a coffee table, not once but two times. But both the times, I got damaged furniture. The legs of the sofas had major dings, the leather stitching was frayed, and there was even a rip underneath one of the pieces. The table had multiple scratches. The delivery people handled the furniture very roughly, almost throwing pieces down on the road without protection. When I complained to Nittoo, the customer service person while this occurred, he simply didnt care. He even confirmed that I would not be charged for the returned furniture nor for the restocking. Yet, a month later, the bill reflected the charges anyway, and when I called to clear it up, they were rude claiming that they did not see the damage I had identified and so, had to pay for restocking. They further challenged me to go to small claims!!!

I MUST SAY I RECEIVED EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. MY PURCHASES ARE UNIQUE AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE MY FURNITURE.

My wife and I prefer contemporary furniture, but in our experience such furniture can often come with a hefty price tag. The stores we frequented to furnish our last home were gone from the scene years ago, so when we stumbled upon Divano Designs in Columbia we were excited! The stylish offerings at reasonable prices captured our imagination immediately. Working with Divanos owner, Nittoo Singh, has been a breeze. Nittoo is very knowledgeable, customer service-oriented and personable. Weve been able to furnish several rooms in our new home with furniture and accessories purchased from Divano, and the service has been top notch.
