Our salesman Yanis was very communicative with us in person and over the phone. He knew exactly what we were looking for. Thank u Yanis for everything!! Ur awesome!! ππ
Excellent service. I work with Paula. She is the best.
Lovely clean spacious office space. Friendly personable service and sales staff.
Very competent in helping me with questions on new vehichle.
I was pleased they fit me in for an oil change. However they failed to wash my car this time. They always washed it in the past. Nothing was explained like did they check all my other fluids? Just handed me my paperwork without discussing anything to me. Was a big disappointment.
No complaints. Machen dodge has been good to us on service. Rene in service is Great.
Ive been trying to buy a truck from them but pre-owned trucks are too high for me so they are having a time selling a truck. Im grew up the car business. my dad was a car dealer, his dad was a car dealer and his pappy was a car dealer, and his pops sold the first Buick in STL . And his pops sold mules and wagons to Lewis and Clark.
Have purchased three vehicles from machens. The first was a lemon that had a major recall on a national level that they did not address and then made me pay half for the repairs. The second was a great deal and wonderful experience. The third was a good deal but the finance and paperwork were a wreck, 3 months after sale and still no copy of the contract the title was 12 days late of the state date to transfer, and now if we call to ask about anything is like we are a bother. We will never buy here again.
Bad customer service, the manager doesnβt care about thing happening behind. Worst experience ever. Never come back to here to buy vehicle.
Not happy having to buy a new tire because of a nail. Tire is almost new in tread but time wise warranty expired so not covered. Tire not in stock. Had to wait 3 days to get tire in. Now have to wait 2 more days to get tire put on plus leave the car.
I worked with Tiffany and Jessica (I believe that was her name - Piggie Machensβ mom)! They were both lovely! This was my first time purchasing a vehicle on my own so they made the process super easy and they were very energetic and excited for me! I also worked with Travis and he was wonderful. We were able to drive away in an amazing vehicle for an even more amazing price because of him. They were kind, helpful, and very happy to assist with all of my needs. 10/10 recommend!
How can i talk to the man who ownes these dealerships personally i have a serious question and would be tons of help if i could if anyone knows please and thanks! Have a good day
Team members are very niceSpecially thanks to Tim Berry for taking care of my choice
Dean was a really nice man who helped get my daughter a car. We are glad we shopped at Machens.
Dropped my car off today for service and recall repair. First VW and first time dealing with this dealership. Worked with JC collier. Fantastic customer service!! He took time to listen and asked questions and explained everything that could be going with my car. Will update AFTER service is DONE!
Not sure but we gave the dealership 5 stars . Kind and considerate.
Tons of different cars & trucks to choose from! Nice selection, great prices and helpful employees. If youre in the market for any cars or trucks, its definitely worth the trip. We drove from Sedalia, Missouri and are heading back to purchase possibly two vehicles! Definitely Recommend!
Purchased my new Expedition yesterday! Made the drive from Illinois. Olivia, Doni and Jeff could not have been more amazing! They did alot of the legwork in advance for me. Olivia was able to send me a video of the vehicle in advance and these guys had made this something I could have done pretty much remotely had I wanted to. Super nice and honest folks which is nothing short of other reviews I had read about this dealership. I could not be more pleased on how this worked out. If you are looking for a new vehicle I would absolutely give these guys a call!
Got my car serviced, they were fast, friendly and efficient
Great place to wait while MAINTENANCE work is being done. It seemed kind of a long wait for 10,000 mile service, over an hour and a half but maybe because it was a Saturday? I would like to see more workers wearing masks but their friendliness almost made up for it. Terry, my service agent went above and beyond to call me to see if a mug he found was mine. It was. I returned and they got it for me.
Great people to work with.
Just turning over title and keys to my previous vehicle, which I also purchased from Joe Machens π .
The Toyota division has provided very quick service and provided a loaner car while the work was veing done. Maintenance appointments and recalls are serviced with attention to detail and professionally.
Great service! I wish they could offer more discounts.
Went in with my niece to look at a used car for her. When they denied her a loan for a 6000 note we offered to cosign but the salesmen already decide putting her in 4 times the debt was a better option. I for one will never be back. Sam was cool. The other guy that forced the 2020 corolla on her without even offering to check if us cosigning would put her into a more affordable option has cost you a future sale.
First class service ... with honest service assessments. Recommend service department for Columbia area. Had my Lexus serviced ... Mr Story very helpful. Shuttle drive is a greay guy.
Those of you that know me know that I donβt post anything of a personal nature on Facebook very often. That is generally for two reasons. 1) I view Facebook as entertainment. I donβt go to Facebook for news, I donβt go to Facebook to make me feel better and I donβt go to Facebook for any kind of fact. 2), I know Facebook for what it is for me; It allows me to connect with people that I havenβt connected with in a long time and have a broad stroke of contact with all the people in my life.I have even been criticized by some of my friends for not taking more of a stance on issues that they know to be important to me. Today changed thatβ¦The long and the short of it is Garry and I were looking at buying a car. A jeep in fact. I had found one that I thought that Garry and I would both like that was at a dealer in Columbia. Fast forward, that dealer was part of the Joe Machens Group. The Joe Machens dealer in Columbia had the vehicle and the Joe Machens dealer in Jefferson City tried to get the Columbia dealer to drive it to JC so we wouldnβt have as far to see it. When that failed, I contacted the Columbia dealer, gave them all of my information, told them I was interested and even gave them a card number to put a deposit on the vehicle to hold it. They had a deal.During the process I spoke to several people at both facilities but only mentioned my husband to one, the person that told me he was the General Manager at the JC facility. I learned that he was actually a finance person. Not the general manager.οΏΌHe disclosed that the Jeep was originally going to be wholesaled so I wanted to find out what issues it had before we made the trip to Columbia from Linn (Just about an hour each way). He was unable to tell me what the issues were so I asked who the sales manager or gm at the Columbia facility was so I could ask. (We never truly got any answers to that question).I was then contacted via text by a salesman and I posed the question to him. He was also unable to answer the question. When I again asked to speak to a manager or gm, I was told by Darrell βCoachβ Simmons that the manager had instructed him to handle it. His tone and manner of delivery was quite off-putting and my statement to him was β I am the customer you canβt talk to me like thatβ. To which Darrel βCoachβ Simmons replied βF@&K YOU F@&G@T!β This tells me that the information that I gave the finance person at the Jefferson City Joe Machens dealership relayed this information to someone at the Columbia dealership pointing to a systemic problem with Joe Machens Group of dealershipsοΏΌοΏΌ. I am beyond words as to how so few words in our language elicit the feelings I have about that word.In closing, if Darrell βCoachβ Simmons is in YOUR social circle, I can assure you I donβt want either of you in mine. Car dealerships have a bad enough reputation and Dealerships such as the Joe Machens Group that allow this kind of language to customers hardly helps. If you are considering buying a vehicle, please avoid the Joe Machens Group of Dealerships.
Great sales team, fair pricing, and they actually take care of their customers. I always get fast tune up service.
Concern for what I needed and help with a great offer to buy my van. Will my salesman was wonderful and seeing to what I needed and at a good price. My time there was well spent.
Paula is the best. On time every time.
Can handle alittle hardball negotiations like champs without letting it become personal or overly emotional, very professional if they come up with a money-back trial period theyd be perfect. Will probably continue my relationship with machens for the foreseeable future.
I tell you what, even though I live in St. Louis and Machens is in Columbia its totally worth the hour and a half drive. Dave is ALWAYS so nice, helpful and honest! He tells what needs to be done and how urgent it is and theres no pressure. The whole experience is painless and worth it. Their customer service is beyond compare!
One of the best dealership experiences I have ever had. Staff is very friendly and answered all of our questions.
Overall the experience was good. A few hiccups along the way but in the end everything turned out well and a deal was made.Things I was please with:The price offered for the trade was decent and the purchase price was a good deal, under market value.Dislikes:Salesman was less than happy when the deal was declined so that we could take time to decide if we were comfortable with the deal.I was not present for the initial test drive to look over the vehicle but when we took delivery of it, I noted it had hail damage which was not reported or disclosed in the sale. They did however make it right and had the car in the shop the same week at the expense of the dealer.
Machens sold us a car that is a piece of junk. We have spent thousands of dollars trying to fix it. Every couple months a new issue arises. It has cost us more to fix it than its worth. We will NEVER go to Machens ever again and anyone who asks us about our experience we tell them to go somewhere else. Machens is horrible and I have no idea how they have four stars. They have poor quality cars and customer service. If I could give them zero stars I would.
Very happy with our recent purchase from Kamari @ Machens, smooth transaction, friendly & prompt service, thank you!
Decent
Greatest dealership ever. Super easy no hassle car shopping. Loved it!!
Good knowledgeable service. Good mechanics. Excellent customer service. The service advisors take their time with you. Their waiting area is large and comfortable with good amenities. The above comments are stated in regards to Joe Machens Toyota in Columbia Missouri. I am quite positive that Mr. Machens runs his other dealerships in the same way.
Always friendly staff.
Always good service. I have bought 5 vehicles from there.
Got the best deal Ive ever received on a vehicle at Hyundai. Go in say hi to Ed. Hes the one to look for. Tell him Robert Morris sent you.π
Great staff
Helpful and professional
Great people. Just moved to area (from Northeast) recently and needed a car. They made it so easy and such a pleasant experience. Special shouts to salesman Joe and F&I guy Anthony.
They put a defective part on my vehicle, I drove on it for 2 months, didnβt know till I went to another auto shop. Took them 3 weeks to even do anything worst service EVER
Sold us a car with no inspection. Cracked window. No test drive. Bad radiator. Bad water pump. Bad sway bar and links. Several other issues. Sold as is I know. But under the presumption of no known issues! Shouldnt have been sold!!
I used their express lane to get an oil change and despite being the next in line, it took 2 hours to complete. It also cost much more than I anticipated. However, the dealership was very clean and the amenities in the waiting area were very nice! The staff was also excellent! Id definitely come back to buy a car there, but Im not sure Id go to the service center again.
Good staff. Policies re: customer satisfaction with purchase seem poor.
I visited several of their lots while looking for hey new, used car. I had mixed reviews on the salespeople. A few were helpful, a couple were borderline high pressure and one seemed do not really want to be bothered with selling a car in the $10,000 price range. The one car the captured my interest, when the front passenger door was opened, there was a gatorade bottle in the side door pocket. Although a little thing, it spoke to me about their attention to detail. Im sure on a different day I would have had a different experience.
Fast good service. Nice clean waiting area with great snacks. Reasonably priced vehicles.
Very clean and nice place. They have the best customer lounge around⦠Free coffee and drinks with ice cream and snacks for adults and kids alike. Additionally courteous staff and a great courtesy van service.
Good service TRUST PAULA ORTIZ NO PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING EXCEPT HIGH DOLLARS SPENT THATS ON DEALERSHIP
Bruce was great and got me the right car for the perfect price!!!!! Thanks!
Provide good care for our car & pleasant area to wait for car to be serviced.
Bad service. Left us sitting. I was there to pay cash. I told them exactly what type of car I wanted. I told them I wanted a cute sports car. They tried to sell me a beat up Pontiac 4 door sedan. They would not let me drive a Solstice because I didnt have my insurance card on me. we only had the paid receipt with our company and policy number. They wasted an hour of my time. I went to another dealer that let me drive anything I wanted and I paid cash for a cute little Nissan Roadster. I wont go back.
Wait times are sometimes a bit long for service, but the staff seem to be customer oriented. Free coffee and Coke freestyle as well as snacks or ice cream while you wait is a nice bonus. Technicians seem to be honest about repairs.
In and out fairly quickly for an alignment on my a4, they even gave her a bath. The parts manager is awesome, always extremely helpful and enthusiastic with anything I need. The people here seem a lot more genuine than a lot of other dealerships Ive been to or worked at. They definitely have my business.
Sean at Joe Machens Toyota was so helpful! Excellent experience!
Fast and curious. Fixed all the repairs as needed in the time they told me. Price was fair and service was excellent
Way over priced, nice peeps but for how dirty stuff was will high milage is why we walked price didnt reflect
Had to wait too long but service was good. They gave us a loaner which was niceOtherwise hubby would. give them a 2 or 3
Stereotypical high pressure car dealership. Rather than simply answer a question they take you inside. Before you go a management team member will probably touch base as well. Then if you dont find what you want you can pretty much expect that you will probably get an email and phone call trying to get you into something even if you say you are good. Sure it gets deals done for them, and the products might be okay, just shouldnt seen like such a job to be a customer.
Car was well taken care of and I always get good service
Worse car dealership ever. Went to buy a car by appointment and they didnt even know where it was after confirming the appointment. Could not even find the salesman till an hour later. Just loved waiting for the salesman and the car for an hour with my two kids. Id suggest any other dealership. They also had a few angry customers. 1 who they had arrested. If I bought there Im sure I would be arrested too
Very poor staffing over priced parts Management said they will sale cars that they will not repair because most senior citizens cant spot the real condition of there used vehicles. They count on it. Do not purchase a vehicle from them if you are over 50 years old. AARP wrote a article on this rip off dealership. Also will waist your time if your credit is not over 700 but they advertise they can put anyone in a used car. Thats a lie would not suggest buying any used car in Columbia MO
Friendly but the salesman were very pushy
Joe Machens is hands down the worst car dealership I have ever been to. In an attempt to buy a car, they tried to get me to buy a car that was 10K over the Kelly blue book price. Absolutely disgusting and quite frankly, sexist of them ( As i am a woman). Furthermore, I have asked them OVER 8 TIMES to take my number off of their calling list and they have REFUSED to do so. They redirect all of their phone calls through numbers that are similar to mine, trying to trick me into picking them up. They will not leave me alone. Its completely unprofessional, to say the least.
Had a recall. What should have taken 2 hrs took 45 minutes. Waiting area is wonderful.
Great place to buy a car! Ive had nothing but good experiences with purchasing from them
Not been very impressed. Depends on dealer with help. They are not very negotiable on price. I have had to go out of town to get a reasonable price.
Great service! They will find you the car youre looking for!! Ask for Shawn Hall! They also have a snack bar (yes, its free)
These guys know my car and help me keep it running and I trust their judgment of what has to be taking care of.
Machens has too many dealerships to count! But a huge amount of vehicles conglomeratrly! Havent found one yet! Disappointing.
Had a great experience . I would highly recommend purchasing another vehicle with them and working with Darnell Thomas one of the best salesman Ive ever worked with . I would highly recommend Darnell to any of my friends.
Great service personnel. They made the repairs so much faster than any other auto shop Ive ever been to.
It was a nice and friendly place answered questions very nicely took the time
They had what I needed. Short and sweet, thats all
Great job. Always responsive to our needs. Very clean customer service area.
Great deals and great service!
Agents here are nice, the Toyota cars are good as well. You can also rest and get some coffee, beverage and ice creams!
Very nice and respectful.

A big thank you to salesperson Danny Gingrich for solving a Bluetooth phone issue!!
Honest car dealer, great service department too!
I love their services, especially Hyundai dealer, Andrew is very nice guy.
Excellent place to buy a vehicle
Will never buy another vehicle from Joe Machens Ford. After my last experience I was convinced I would never go back. Bought my vehicle from another car lot that was not owned by Joe Machens Ford.
Great place. They really help you
Huge selection of vehicles as always. Great service and very friendly people to deal with.
Super people very helpful good place
Bought a car. Very helpful and wonderful people to work with
Very good prices. Very helpful employees.
Joe Machens. owns too many car dealership places all cars make model and price. Not good for other business
Chick is awesome, Jen was super nice. Wish the mechanics could figure out what is wrong with my truck.
Needed a duplicate key for 2007 Jeep. Quoted me $300 for a key plus programming. The locksmith was alot cheaper.
Since moving to Missouri, I have purchased my vehicles from Machens Hyundai and couldnt imagine dealing with anyone else. Especially with my salesman Dan Schoonover.
