I found some great buys. The only cashier working was very nice and friendly. However, I felt cheated once again out of maximizing my rewards. We forgot to enter my phone number for future benefits. I was asked and did agree to round up my total spending to the next whole dollar as an extra donation though. Im a retired frequent Goodwill shopper and appreciate eventually saving a few extra dollars.*Suggestions:*Train cashiers to also ask customers if they are reward members or seniors before completing transactions.*Add bold signs on property (doors, registers, countertops...) to remind us of your companies perks/benefits for shopping.*Find a way to use receipt after the fact (online or at register) to retrieve benefits owed on money spent.**Thanks for whatever you can do to satisfy your customers**

Okay enough is enough, this goodwill is atrocious. Stuff if everywhere, prices are too high, and literally there is barely anything on the racks which is ridiculous seeing as though people donate all the time. If you don’t have the staff to maintain the store, you should consider shutting it down because there are so many other thrift stores in the area that are much better than here.

I honestly cant believe the audacity of their prices, considering that they resell used, donated items. I can literally walk across the parking lot to find brand new better items similar to the used junk they sell at Marshalls for the same or even lower prices. This place should be ashamed to call itself goodwill as if they were providing good will towards struggling members of our community. They actually prey on the goodwill of people who donate their things so they can make profits on it. My advice to anyone is to bring your stuff to the dump instead and deprive these scammers of their FREE inventory which is used to rob low income families.

The selection is good, but when 3/3 items I had didn’t have a tag on them, the cashier took them, they told me I couldn’t get them and I had to wait a day, or two, or three (they really just really weren’t sure) to price the items. No way of letting me know either. Could have probably gotten a manager to help, but when I asked if there was a supervisor the cashier just said there was no one plainly and really just couldn’t have been bothered. Unfortunate

Im not sure I want to donate again at this location. I brought new ceramic and glass items that were tossed into a huge cardboard box and I heard them break. Im very disappointed since I couldve just thrown them in the garbage instead.

First I did score some really nice things.... But this place is dirty. By far the worst Ive ever seen. Dust, hangers, dirty floors. It looks as though no one has cleaned in a very long time. Hard to even look through items, they are everywhere with no rhyme or reason. Cashier was efficient and friendly enough.

This location had sadly gone downhill over the past couple years. The prices on some items are way too high. Book prices have gone up 5x what they were a year or so ago. Oh, and there is always stuff on the floor. You really have to watch your step.

Very disappointed in this Goodwill location. Store is heavily unorganized and messy to the point it was hard to walk through aisles. As a store that is there to provide quality products to those in need for a reduced price, there was barely any of that. An item that was $0.75 at another thrift store and even found in Dollar Store (out of stock there) was marked at $6.00 at a Goodwill! Sadly will not visit again.

(Updated) Overpriced electronics. With no guarantee or proof that the products actually work.. (OLD but still relevant) Also an unorganized & Dirty book section. Half of the DvD and video games I wanted were not in the cases. Pretty much empty cases. Toys and gym equipment were all over the floor which is a safety hazard (which I told a nearby employee) who didnt appear as if she cared. When I went to pay for my stuff. There was a bunch of Junk on the counter-top someone left behind, and the cashier scanned items that were left on the counter with my stuff. So I basically paid for stuff I that wasnt even mine because they didnt clean off the god darn counter. Clean up your store, organize it, and youre darn sure Im going to corporate with my complaint.

I’ve been to this goodwill many times and every time I go there’s nothing. The racks are empty and it’s a mess. They have so many new donations just sitting outside, so I’m wondering why they never fill up the store. I dont recommend this goodwill location. Try a different one or just go to value village instead.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!! The big man with the taped up glasses (William maybe) has a terrible attitude!! Just because you’re having a bad day does not mean you should mess up someone else’s! If you don’t like YOUR job find another one. We have nurses/doctors/EMTS working on the frontlines everyday during a pandemic with a SMILE on their faces and you’re telling me you can’t do the same while ringing up a few items?! Never have I ever received such terrible service! There was a very nice young man that helped us and another young lady at the register that was kind...he should take notes from them!!!!!!

Employees at this store arbitrarily decide which Goodwill policies to follow. The regional parent companys special webpage stating 1) which stores have reopened after the shutdown, 2) their opening hours and 3) acceptable donation hours - said the Columbia (9097 Snowden River Parkway, Columbia, MD 21046) location accepts donations until 5 p.m. Upon arrival at 4:26 p.m., I was told that they stop taking donations at 4 p.m. because they are getting too many donations. After I pointed out what their website says, I was told, If we make an exception for you, we have to make an exception for everyone. But I was not the one needing an exception: Their posted, post-pandemic policy clearly states donations are accepted until 5 p.m., not 4 p.m. Accuracy and reliability would have built much more goodwill.

Monday the 10th of August. 4.10 pm. The woman at the register gave me a $1 bill which was very ripped. I did not accept. She said she can’t change it because can’t open the register. This store used to be kept so nicely. Clothes aren’t in any order, the book section has some on shelves and the remainders shoved in boxes on the floor. Rush Limbaugh and Dr Phil in the kids section??? It is a hot mess, the entire store. Waited in line behind a customer who was figuring out if she wanted each item as it was rung up for 5-10 minutes. Another cashier appeared and began talking to the other cashier who was waiting for the customer to make up her mind. I left my items and walked out of the store.

I have found some great deals in this store. As far as Goodwill stores go this is not my favorite, but it is still chalk full of great finds. Our first visit was yesterday. The young man who came to our car to retrieve the plethora of clothing, shoes, etc. that we brought to donate was warm and welcoming. Of course, we walked out with some treasures that have already been put to use. Thanks, Goodwill, we will be visiting often!

I bought 2 chairs from the very place I donate to! Shout out to Mr. Niles for loading the 2 big heavy chairs into my van. Even though I knocked him in the head with my van door he still was a sweetheart and put it in there ever so gently. Mr. Gregory held a few chairs for me even though he was not suppose to! I wish I could have paid for them over the phone but for some odd reason they would not let me. I saw the chairs last night but could not purchase them until I at least talked to my husband about it. He did not get off of work until 11 pm so I made sure I called this morning at 9 am before they sold. I wish they could have change the policy when it comes to paying for it over the phone! Everyone was so helpful! Thank you all!

Superstore? You mean super messy. I came here looking for some jeans and their whole inventory is all mixed up. They have maternity, male, female, and all sizes completely mixed with each other. Even their kids clothes are all mixed: male and female along with toddler, teenager clothes completely mixed up. You literally have to dig through every item just to find what youre looking for. Its a well organized store. I like that all clothing is priced by categories instead of individually. For instance, the coat section has a $14.99 sign above it and any coat you find will be that price. Only problem I found was the store was understaffed with only one person at the register. I waited in line for like 15 minutes when there were only two people ahead of me.

Ji
Review №39

There are better Goodwills inside of a 20 minute drive. I did find a few things that made the trip worth it, but the clothes racks are very disorganized and mixed into the normal racks are a bonkers amount of the clothes that have boutique pricing tags on them. They should really be separated out, or each item should be priced individually - looking through a rack that has a price marked on it should mean that thats the price you pay for the clothes there. The clothes they had ranged from designer labels to cheap used leggings. They did have a nice amount of other stuff - housewares, some furniture, etc, but it was also pretty disorganized. I dont regret going, but I wont be back - there are much better options around.

Store is small for the amount of things they carry. In the book section, its often disorganized and definitely look behind you before you back up...toys are scattered right behind you. Forget about looking for linens and most miscellaneous items unless you have a lot of time to dig through the mounds of piled up stuff. Lines often back up with one cashier. John, Dawin and Niles are very friendly and helpful donation takers, and Kendra, Karen and Lakenya are great on the register and will help you find discounts.

This store is a gem if you live within a decent distance. It probably takes in 10 times as much as this small store can hold, so a lot of the donations get shipped elsewhere. But mercahndise moves fast and I have returned later in the same day or the next and found some gems that were exactly what I was looking for. I mostly look for furniture and non-clothing items for the grand kids and have found some good deals in this store. On 11/21 I went in looking for a small computer desk and saw no possibilities. Came back 11/22 and found the perfect desk, and there was even another that was a good contender. There are days with discounts for those over 60 and/or a veteran(s). Too bad the store isnt larger.
