Everytime we are there, the team is friendly, knowledgeable and makes plenty of time for us.We dont buy a ton of comics, but, they always have to latest issues, as well as an extensive selection that Ive hardly been able to browse through. This is a great place for someone well versed in comics as well as those of us who are on the newer side of the hobby.

My kids and I wandered in late one Friday night. The gentleman working was extremely knowledgeable, pulling different selections for each of my kids based on what theyd already read. His knowledge of comics was impressive, and he was kind and thoughtful with his suggestions. Hands down best experience Ive ever had. Were going back now to buy those selections and hope to make it a regular treat!

Great Shop! Plenty of old/back order issues for someone to go in and just browse through. Really great at servicing his regular pull customers. Haven’t been to another comic book shop in a year. With John running the show here at Rock Bottom there’s been absolutely no reason to go to any other shop

The hubby and I stopped by one night while waiting for our dinner reservation and the owner made this such a pleasurable experience that we got into comic books and have come back a couple times ever since to pick up a new haul. Everytime we have come in, weve felt welcome and the owner kindly suggests reading material based on our past selections. Definitely recommend checking this place out, might be your new hobby. There is a little something for everyone.

It was made blatantly apparent from the owner himself that he does not care about this shop or the customers who come in. Ill spare everyone the details of my ( now multiple) bad experience(s,) but the short version is that the owner could care less about walk-in and day-to-day customers and is only trying to recoup his investment via online sales. I get it, after collecting comics since before we were all just stains in our fathers trousers ( his words, not mine) its easy to get disillusioned and bitter, but thats no reason to berate and devalue your patrons, vendors and (1)employee. We are but pitiful peons in your presence, O Great Collector. We are not worthy of your sacred library of illustrated tomes. I suppose for you there is Time enough.. At last.

Stopped here in route to KC. Owner was super friendly and we had a nice chat about 70s and 80s comic creators - not a topic you usually find store owners overly knowledgeable about. Diverse selection of books too!

Came in looking for some Martian Manhunter comics and was even shown one of the first couple of times he appeared in comics! Very knowledgeable staff and great conversationist. Makes me wish I was a local!

I was taken here by a friend who loves comics. The owner is the nicest guy I’ve ever met and made sure I got what I was looking for. All and all this is the best comic book store I’ve ever been to.

Loved stopping by, great selection. John is wonderful to speak with. Definitely will be returning.

A great little shop!

Came in about a week ago, there’s a ton of comics, chances are they’ll have what you’re looking for. The guy there who I would guess to be the owner was super nice and very informative! If you’re in search of comics definitely stop by!

The person who worked there was sooo nice to me and told me all about the comic or superhero I was looking for. The inside could be a little more organized but other than that I would definitely recommend this place to a fellow comic lover.

I went here with my roommate who is a long time customer of this comic book shop. I really enjoyed the selection of comics, figures, graphic novels, and will definitely come here if Im looking for a good comic book. Much better than Slackers in my opinion. They offer a pull service if you want certain comics each month. Pretty awesome customer service.

Person in charge of the store was rude. He was showing his friend some big key issues which I asked if he was selling them because I was interested, he then answered me with a price which he didn’t really mean and was just being sarcastic, I didn’t get right away because I was really genuinely interested, so I apologized to him ‘cause he seemed to take offense, after apologizing he just replied with “I should have given you a direct answer and isn’t it obvious it’s not for sale since there’s no price on it”. Also kept repeating how he’s been grading comics for so long even before I was born. He seemed friendly to other people in the store, but was extremely rude to me and obviously looked down upon.

Great selection, but didnt have any help offered or even asked if I needed help. And took a little bit of standing by the register area before he realized I was trying to check out.But honestly I really did love the unique selection and options!

I grew up in Columbia and have been to the store many times and have always had an extremely positive experience there. They love comics and are so willing to help you dive into their world. I started going because of my husbands love for comics but even with my little knowledge beyond mainstream Marvel and DC comics I was still able to have conversations full of laughter and came out having learned more each time. James in particular has always been absolutely wonderful to my kids and I and they love going to see “comic book James”.

I love shopping for comics here. The guy behind the counter, James, is always so nice and helpful and he is always super patient with my kids when they are looking for something specific. Rock Bottom has a great selection and if he doesn’t have what I want then he finds it for me.

This is a great store with outstanding customer service. James can answer any question a newcomer may have and make great recommendations. I’ve witnessed him give advice and recommendations to parents concerned about content to ensure they are happy with their purchase.

Great selection and cool/cozy space. James is very knowledgeable and a really great guy! Highly recommend taking some time to check this place out.

Wonderful store with wonderful people. Rock Bottom is truly a comic book store with an extensive collection of back issues and lots of current issues. It carries comics from numerous smaller presses (e.g., Darkhorse, Dynamite) in addition to the big two.

Very good store!!! Im a Batman fan but never read much of the comics. The clerk gave me great recommendations and I plan to do lots of future purchasing there. I would highly recommend this comic book store!

I drive 30 minutes every week to shop here! Staff is amazing, always have my weekly pulls, and you can set up a pull list so as soon as you walk in they will simply hand you your books! Love these guys so much!!!

These people know there comics. Went in and got some recommendations on new series and they batted 1000. I would totally recommend this place to any comic lover. They will be getting a lot of my money over the coming weeks. Thank you guys for the recommendations.

This store is by far the cleanest and friendliest comic book store in town. Theyve had no problem ordering me the manga that I wanted as well as any thing else that was older and not kept in stock. They have a good selection of collectables on display and they arent all covered in dust like at other shops Ive visited. I now do all of my comic related shopping at Distant Planet.

Poorly organized, standoffish employees, overpriced, poor selection. Only perk is location and knowledgeable staff. Feels like you’re interrupting something every time you walk in.

Enjoyed going there for a while and they were good about pulls. Until I noticed them slipping in extra comics that I had no interest in buying. Not even as a we put this in here because we think you would like this they just put it in there without telling me. I also couldnt afford comics for a month and before then I told them to take a handful off my pull list. Not only did they fail to do that they held onto them and charged me for them a month later after I told them I wasnt paying for them and I didnt want it in my pull list. So basically theyve straight ripped me off multiple times and I refuse to purchase comics there anymore.

Alright for looking for newer backstock. Not much backstock if you are looking for any classic stuff. Have had issues in the past with clerks. If you ask if you have something the clerk should not ask, Well is it out there? Really? Also been told a certain item was first printing when it was really a third printing by same clerk. Sometimes felt that facebook and the loud obnoxious music that clerk was listening to was more important than customer service. Other clerks have been alright.

James is always helpful and is super knowledgeable!
