Purchased $100. worth of ink cartridges around 11/20 and was told if they weren’t compatible with our computer, it would be no problem returning them. Although there was no ‘return by’ date on the receipt, the cartridges were not able to be returned today, 3/6. I was told that purchased items needed to be returned within a month or two. That policy should be shared when the cartridges were purchased or appear on the receipt, but were not. Before submitting this, I called the store to get a confirmation on their policy, but was connected only to voicemail options. Unfortunately, Office Depot/Max is not customer friendly ~ and I like to support our local businesses.
This is my 5th visit and not once have they had a single item in stock. I can get ink at fred meyer but not at an office supply store?? Reps are very rude as well. Dont waste your time here.
Cant recommend this place. I had a question for the manager, Travis, but he seemed to be preoccupied with making his fellow employees visibly uncomfortable. Judging by the atmosphere in his department its probably worse to work there than it is to shop there. Yikes.
ZERO STARS! WORST TECH SUPPORT EVER! I purchased a laptop from Officemax 8 months ago, it crashed! All the tech can tell me is the os is completely broken. HUH! If it was working I wouldnt have brought it in. NEVER PURCHASE A LAPTOP FROM OFFICEMAX!
Completely out of ink for printers. Order online would be better since there is no customer service available. 2 cashiers, 0 customers. Walk right by them and the school boys were to busy talking to say hi, much less offer any help.
I was having printing roubles and the sales manager Travis came over, helped me with my USB from his computer, and gave me the two pages free of charge. Overall great customer service and I will go back to them for printing and office needs

Exceptional print service, almost all of corvallis comes here for their signs and because of the attention to detail buisnesses trust their marketing jobs to be done right! Management here has done a great deal for my company orchestrating all my jobs in a timely manner ! I cant say enough good about this store and their employees ! Went in to the store on 9th Street about 1:30 yesterday to order a notary stamp. Was told that only this one person can do those orders and he only works until noon! Not the way to do business in my book and so I will go to Staples. Very disappointed.
These people do the best they can to help you with WHATEVER you sensibly might need. The fees For all the diverse services you need are very reasonable.
My sister and I went to the 9th St corvallis oregon store and as always Robert the manager of operations was working and greeted as well as guided us with the most friendly and kind demeanor he always goes above and beyond for us as he did this afternoon. It is always a pleasure to shop there while is working this 5 star rating goes 100 to Robert.
I was having a pleasant office supply shopping trip, and was referred to a manager when asking about a printer. Travis the manager, was utterly disrespectful and had a condescending tone as I spoke to him. He was unable to answer my question and ruined my day!! I recommend Staples if this neanderthal is on shift.

Helpful staff that helped me pick out the right printer. I really appreciate the large selection of printers that were on display with information that comes with the printer. Helped me pick out the perfect one within my budget for my job. When I purchased the wrong item, I had no trouble returning my previously purchased item and swapping it for the correct one.
I used the product finder on OfficeMax website to confirm that 2 items I need are available, yes both in stock. Printed the info. I asked for help finding products and showed my print to staff member. Told me that they dont stock that item even though website indicated it was in stock. 2nd item was in stock.Fellow at checkout then entered price as $3.99. I showed him the print indicating $2.79 and he corrected. I paid and left. Thinking it will be a long time before I return.
Worst customer service ever! The only office store in Corvallis and I would rather drive to albany or pay more at bimart! Rude employees, very unhelpful, never have anytjing is stock!The worse!
Love having the availability of this store to get my office supplies. It has easy access off 9th Street and I usually dont have much of a problem finding a place to park. The staff is always helpful and Im usually able to get everything on my supply list in one stop.

Manager Zach blatantly violated the six foot social isolation policy by directing a customer to walk within one foot me. When I challenged him on the violation his response to me was if you are that worried about it just stay home, and you can always shop somewhere else.
One of the only places in Corvallis now that you can get school supplies. Its usually quite empty but only because the people there help you fast.
Couldnt find the ink I needed but a helpful staff nonetheless.
No comment on other reviews for this Office Max store - I have always been offered competent professional service and honest appraisals of products. Nice people, good attention, standard prices with good sales. Anyone could run into an off-person in any store, but the people at this office max have all been absolutely great to me and my family. I feel bad if others have had bad experiences long ago at this store, but it is not the norm in my experience. In one example, I have received very fair advice regarding printers and felt confident eventually purchasing after several conversations with no pressure to buy. The worst big box office supply store. High prices, empty space, lonely service. Corvallis doesnt support office supply stores, and it shows with the loss of Staples. Lack competitors show in the services you get.

Its a general office store, staff are usually helpful. However the stock can be quite limited and I have several times not been able to find the cable or accessory I needed, but if what you need is pretty mainstream they should have it at a decent price.
Prepare for a medium sell pressure in the next tier more expensive item. Then buy what you were gonna buy anyway. Prices are fine considering the schleppy quality of goods these days.
After getting great service last week, this weeks visit was horrible. The young man who said he would help me was totally disrespectful and very condescending. As a senior, I dont expect any special treatment but when spending money, I expect to be at least treated as a respected customer. There is nothing at this store, I cant also buy online.

We purchased a Lenovo All in One Desktop computer on Friday night, since they only had one left in stock and it was the floor model we decided to purchase the computer that night. Only because we were guaranteed the full warranty on the device. They advised that we would have to pick it up in the morning and that was fine. However the next day we called in to check the status, they advised that they would have to call us back. Once they called back we headed into town to pick up the computer, the young lady up front was personable and advised that we had to go to the customer service desk. Once we walked over we were greeted (kind of) by another young woman that was less then interested in her job. She advised that we had to wait for the tech and that there were people ahead of us, that was fine. After about an hour of waiting the manager comes over and starts to prepare the computer, he then decides that he does not know how to unhook the stand and that the best method of action is leaving it for the overwhelmed tech to take care of ( why is there only one tech on shift on a Saturday morning in a college town?!) Once the tech helps us he apologizes for the delay, we understand that he is busy. However while picking up the computer he asked if we needed it in the box, we politely said yes. We then left the store with our purchase and then due to a family emergency we had to head out of town. When we got home I was excited to set up the computer, only to find that not only the manuals were missing but the power cord was missing as well. I then contacted the 1-800 number in regards to the options, the CSR Dan was very informal ( Ive worked in a call center for 2 years) and was the opposite of helpful. I was very courteous and advised of the situation, after a very scripted, very unenthusiastic apology he did not ask for the store location or our receipt information. He basically told me to go to the store, I asked if I was guaranteed to get the correct cords and he quickly said yes and then tried to end the call, I asked about the manuals and received a quick yes and then he had to get off the phone so fast you would think he was being burned by his headset. I understand there are call times but that call was less then 4 minutes and I received short one words answers and scripted apologies. Im sincerely hope that tomorrow is not a fiasco and we can get theCorrect cords or we will be returning the computer and never coming back to Office Max again.
No complaints, the sales guy was really helpful while I was picking out an office chair. They had a lot of options at a lot of prices from $100 to $400.

Bought a desk on the website and got a confirmation email. Just got to the store and they sent me an email saying they cant fufill my order. The guy in store said it’s because its their display model. Why send me an email that says I can pick it up then?!
Got my home computer resurrected by Matt in the Tech Services Dept. What a life-saver! Couldnt be happier with the service, the fees, the turnaround, and the communication!
Observations of employees with customers, seemed friendly & respectful. Appearance clean.The issue: some products are expensive when compared to other stores (CDs, DVDs, USB drives to name some). Some computer essentials are not carried in store but available online.Recommendations:1) Call ahead to see if they have it available in store2) if not available in store, price match with sites such as Amazon & Newegg.
