I would go to the dentist 100 times rather than having an eye exam. But All Family Vision Care has changed my mind. My appointment was quick and mostly pain free (I hate having my eyes dilated). Dr. Shannon performed my exam. He was very personable. He made sure I understood everything that was going on. My previous eye physician’s office had outdated technology. What a difference new technology makes. He didn’t have to dial in all the numbers. He didn’t have to use that device that blows air into your eye. This made the appointment breeze by. Again at my previous eye physician they would dilate your eyes at the end of the exam then send you out to the brightly lit waiting room and wait. Dr. Shannon dilated my eyes shortly after we began so I didn’t have to wait around, and I was able to stay in the room which was much easier on my eyes.I opted to get glasses from Fetch because they’re a Portland-based company that donates proceeds to animal rescues and shelters. The staff didn’t try to convince me to purchase glasses from them. They printed out my prescription to give to Fetch.I am so thankful others have left good reviews which helped me decide to choose them for my exam. I’m actually looking forward to my annual exam next year. I highly recommend All Family Vision Care!

I manage the apartment complexes right next to the clinic. For the sake of ease, I made an appointment because I was overdue for an eye check-up and my wife was giving me friendly reminders to get it done. So I scheduled an appointment for no other reason than it was right next to my office. I did not expect to receive the customer service that I did when I went in for my appointment; it was incredible. Everyone was super friendly. The atmosphere was lighthearted, but professional. Dr. Shannon was great. He broke everything down during the examination letting me know exactly what he was doing, why and what it meant. Lexi assisted in finding and fitting me with glasses. She was very patient as tried numerous pairs and texted my wife pictures of me wearing them. She found me a really cool set of frames that I would never have picked out for myself. My glasses were ready in the timeframe promised and I have received tons of complements on them already. I highly recommend All Family Vision Care to anyone.

I had to go to all family because of my insurance, no problem, untill you get in their, see on the phone they told me that things were covered, when I get done with the exam things were still fine, until they DO NOT explain what is or isnt covered by your insurance, they had me buying $470 worth of extras for my lenses, that was Not covered by insurance, and would not explain why till 3 phone calls and a trip in, I told them originally I only wanted what was covered, but they didnt do that, instead they just wanted me to pay the $470 and not say anything, well when I questioned my insurance directly, thats when things started to become clearer than with All Family Vision, the vision place was trying to have me cover $470 worth of extras with no problems, and not ask why. Got fitted for contacts, they took my money for a fitting fee for them, all they did was hand them too me and I left, they told me we were under the impression you had them before 29 yrs ago and I explained that to them, so I understand paying for the contacts themselves, but a fitting fee for not doing anything ??? Wow wish I got paid for nothing, wait they did !!! All in all I can say they replaced my frames after a month and them not being covered by manufacturer warranty with frames on shelf of the same, but NOT after being scolded like a 6 yr old...

Just moved to Corvallis and made an appointment to get glasses repaired. Ended up needing to cancel last minute due to an unexpected hospital stay. My husband took in my glasses and they were so helpful to replace them quickly. Then they adjusted them for free when I went back in. So helpful and friendly. Will be using them for my optometry needs!!

This place is amazing! When I couldnt get into my old eye care provider after expressing concerns from an eye issue my husband called All Family and they got me in same day because they were concerned my vision was at risk. Long story short they helped me with my condition with some much care and empathy and helped me through it all. All the staff is so sweet and wonderful to work with! Highly recommended

Amazing experience at All Family Vision Center. Being new to the area, at a new job, with new insurance, there was a lot to manage to make an appointment. They worked very hard to get everything ready for my visit. The receptionist, doctor, and optician were all very friendly and knowledgeable. They took a considerable amount of time explaining all of my options and answering my questions. I will definitely return and my wife also booked an appointment based on this experience. I switched to Dr Klautzsch a few years ago after being frustrated with feeling like a number to previous doctor. I finally found one that cares enough about getting my prescription right to where I am happy with it, before I leave my visit. He is personable, has a great personality and is very professional. Dr. Klautzsch is an amazing optometrist and I have had nothing but good experiences with him. The front office staff can be a little pushy about sales and dont seem to be keen on giving your Rx so you can order contacts or glasses elsewhere. If that is what you plan to do, I would recommend going somewhere else to avoid the awkward sales stuff. Other than that the doctor that I saw was awesome and their office seems to run smoothly.

It has been two years since my prior eye check-up. Since my prior visit I had noticed some subtle changes in my eyes and wanted to have those issues resolved. Dr. Heintz was very nice and professional! The whole staff was friendly and the office was very clean. I was just in for my annual check-up and I felt the office lady was super helpful - she contacted my insurance for me since I had made an appt elsewhere and canceled and my insurance benefits were tied up with that doctor. I did order new contacts, they came in, in two days! So fast! I appreciated they offered the photos of your eye instead of dilation (even though it is an extra charge your insurance doesn’t cover) because my eyes tend to stay dilated for the whole day so it was nice to skip that. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Heinz and his staff do a fantastic job. I recently added my parents as new patients and Dr. Heinz couldnt have been more thorough and patient with them. He is up on all the latest medical techniques, treatments and his advice is always well researched, but practical. Best place in town.

The doctors here are great, but the glasses part -- nope. When my glasses came in, I told her they were not right prescription, they were not clear - these were progressives and one part was correct, the other was not. She adjusted them and told me i needed to try them for a week to get used to them. I tried them and nope - still not right. I went in again and told her that. She insisted they were correct and adjusted them to sit different on my nose again. I went back the next week and again told her they were not correct. She then informed me that it was past the time I could return them for not having them correct. She knew this. Apparently I am not the only person who has had this happen. So now I am stuck with glasses that do not work.

Our entire family has been going to All Family Vision since 2005. This visit was very efficient, helpful and great office staff.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! I just moved to OR from VA and I was looking for an eye doctor so that I could get new/more contacts. I unfortunately went to this place. Almost every person who works here is on a new level incompetency. I felt like I was the doctor, because I was telling the secretaries and doctor what to do. Every other time ive ever been to a eye doctors office, it was fast and simple. Wed simply do an eye/contact exam, figure out my prescription, take a few days for my eyes to make sure that they are good, then they would just give me the prescription. Dr. Shannon and staff are the absolute worst at their jobs. After they ordered me the first trial pair of contacts (which took close to 9 days to arrive instead of the 3-4 like they should), I let them know that they dont work. He randomly ordered me another pair which were completely off, so I just told him to give me the prescription for the first pair because I could atleast see somewhat with them in. Oh! and I, as the customer, was the one who had to try and figure out what I had to do in terms of coming in for an appointment or whatever because talking to the front desk there is like talking to a wall. They know nothing as a group and obviously dont speak to the doctors there. Its crazy that Im the one who has to ask to speak to the doctor or try and convince them that I need to come in for another appointment. Ive literally chosen to walk around with a bad contact in my left eye, rather than go back to that place.

I was seen by Dr. Shannon. I was interested in soft contacts after wearing gas permeables for years. I was very impressed by the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Also impressed Dr Shannon really wanted to get my contacts just right so I was truly happy with fit and performance. I would highly recommend!

This place is great. I was seen at my scheduled time and taken care of. Less than 40 minutes to get exam and samples of contacts to make sure that I had a good fit. Dr Heintz was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Went to fill a glasses prescription and they gave me many options and were accommodating of my insurance and checked before doing anything so there werent any issues on payment.The lenses themselves were better tuned than my originals (different place) and were done earlier than their original estimate. They also gave me a new case for them since the old one was not doing well.For the sunglasses I wanted to get (Oakley frame, curved large lenses with polarization) they sent them to the frame maker so they could be perfectly tuned without distortions to the lenses.Prices may seem high compared to other places but the quality in return is worth it.

Really terrible service with these guys....I had already been an established patient and called for an updated contact exam....I was told that insurance doesnt pay for that and I would be out $150. Ok, that is never the case so dont let them tell you that!! I went to another independent eye doctor who didnt charge me at all, except my co-pay. I had also gone through various trial pairs of contacts with all family vision and they never fit right and were miserable (I am a lifetime contact wearer). Again, went to another doctor and first pair he gave me felt amazing on my eyeballs!!!I have taken my children to All Family and they did well with the kiddos, but when it comes to anything other than a standard eye exam I would pass if I were you!Do your own research before believing any charge they put in front of you, they are very expensive and the quality is not there at all.

I have a stigmatism and the beginning stages of cataracts with two different prescriptions for each eye. All Family staff took the time to get me into contacts that I can see so clearly out of, that Im amazed everyday. The staff really care about their patients and it shows.

I have an astigmatism on my left eye that is pretty severe. I thought I had to write off contacts as an option which made me pretty sad. However, Dr. Heintz was wonderful in that he found sclera contacts for me. I had a pretty trying time getting them fitted. However, the practice manager was more than generous in making sure that my fitting was a positive experience. I would recommend this practice to anyone I know, hands down. Better than WalMart Optometry by miles. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

I’ve been going to this optometrist for years. The staff in the last year has gotten so much worse. Unbelievably disorganized and rude. There is no customer service here. Do I want to bill insurance? Why the hell wouldn’t I got the 5th time?
