They no longer have physical locations, only online support.But, good luck using online support.Getting in contact with an actual human is harder than solving a Rubix cube as a color blind person, while all of your fingers are in Chinese finger traps.
Really great hardware, nice store layout but poor customer service. The people that work there are rude and they do not have answers. I have bought a Surface Pro from there and every time I ask on how to do something specific, the customer service people fumble the answer when outs not something trivial. They only know the basics!

Ive received nothing but outstanding service each time Ive had to visit this store. Recently, however, the manager, Damian Butler, went above and beyond the call of duty and literally saved my bacon. I use my computer for my business. He and his staff replaced my laptop (under warranty) and transferred my data without me having to leave it for a couple of days. He made a couple of other concessions that I really appreciate, too. While Im still also an Apple/Mac fan, you cant beat the service you get from the Costa Mesa Microsoft store. My best wishes and appreciation go to Damian and his extremely competent crew.
I had the best hands down computer buying experience of my life at this location. Michelle did a great job helping my boyfriend and me pick my new surface book. She answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything and were taken care of. We will definitely be back!

If you go here thinking it’s on the service level of an Apple store don’t bother. I had some hardware issues with my Xbox accessories and it was basically no proof of purchase......buy new ones. There was no offer to assist with a fix or discount on replacements nor were their any questions of my history with the brand to establish me as an invested and loyal customer. Just disappointing.
Great service both times Ive gone to the store.The first trip I made was for a pickup for a laptop. I was greeted at the door and was helped with immediately. I was in and out in 10 minutes.The reason I made a second visit was because the Dell laptop I bought had an issue. I was going in thinking it would be very difficult to get an exchange, but it was quite the contrary. Felicia helped me from the beginning to the end, from entering the door with my old laptop and leaving the door with my brand new replacement in about 20 minutes; the only reason it even took that long was because they didnt have the exact same model I had in stock. They ended up giving me a slightly upgraded model without charging me a penny!This was one of the most pleasant and painless customer service experiences Ive had relating a tech product.I would highly recommend this store to anyone.

I consider myself somewhat tech savvy; definitely more than the average person.I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why my laptop speakers/headphones weren’t working (I had a feeling it was a driver related issue but after spending the entirety of my Sunday trying different solutions gave up and Microsoft support online told me I’d need to pay for help).Went in with an appointment and was offered complimentary water while I waited. Jorge helped me out in less than 5 minutes.Made me feel so silly (I felt silly that it wasn’t something I thought of; he didn’t make me feel bad about myself). Turns out I was trying to fix the wrong driver this whole time. Furthermore, he explained exactly what he did to fix it and had me on my way in no time. Definitely recommend.

Purchased surface pro 7 on Nov. 26 and was supposed to pick it up from south coast plaza store. When I went there the staff started telling me that I did not purchase the correct bundle even when the title on my purchase proof order clearly show that I bought the surface pro 7 bundle. After a good 25 minutes they realized that I was correct and they were wrong. After that they did not allow me to pick up my order and they asked me to wait in line on black Friday! Like hell I would do that, so I left without my laptop and had to keep contacting customer service to cancel my order and get a refund, I am calling them while writing this review and hopefully I will get my refund.Overall, customer service is really bad at store and over the phone, but the device is pretty awesome honestly. I got the same deal from best buy without going the terrible customer service at Windows store.
While I can’t say that I’d recommend Microsoft as a company due to how I feel I’ve been treated and responses I’ve received from the corporation as a whole, I will say that this location was very helpful and friendly, though very busy (again, understand that I visited here during the holidays)... all in all, this location provided me with a good solid experience
Exceeded every expectation I had. Thats not easy to do. Ive had a chance to see Andre at the store twice. Each time hes shown kindness, intelligence, empathy and is a pleasure to deal with. I dont often write 5 star reviews, but this store really has been very good. My 3 week old Microsoft Pro had an issue with the 4G connection, it stopped working. Verizon Wireless pointed me to Microsoft. I made an appointment for this morning and in about 90 minutes they discovered the issue, it was the Surface Pro. Instead of making me go through a crazy process to get it replaced. They looked in stock, found a unit slightly better than what I had and upgraded it complimentary. I did buy a case for - a nice one made by Tumi. Andre swapped out the machine and now I have 4G again, more memory and storage and he made sure that my office worked and everything was OK before departing.Great Jobs.
It is a good store. They give you a decent selection of the most popular devices to try out and they are not tethered to the table. The staff can be somewhat unhelpful as the person helping me could not tell me the expected battery life of their signature Surface Pro 4 line. Overall, it isnt a bad store but the employees could use more training in regards to knowledge of their own machines.

Went here to get a replacement for my Surface Pen that I bought online that wasnt working. Diego helped me to get a new pen and was very thorough! He made sure to check that the new pen would work well with my Surface Book. Excellent service, everyone was very nice!
They had some kind of low end fortnite torny in the back, so great for kids and such. As for sales and other things, it seemed like the employees dont all really know their products inside and out, and mostly relied on the cards. I knew the specs off the top of my head weeks after I researched them, and he basically read my the bullet points off the card. Even still, they did seem to understand what it all meant and what it was good for, so Ill give them that.
Pretty good store with a large selection of different computing devices. Many hands on experiences such as vr and gaming consoles. Wish they still had a larger selection of gaming laptops though. The showroom area was also a great addition to the store, bringing a unique experience.

I made an appointment to bring my computer because it wasnt starting.I was here a couple minutes before my appointment and the guy at the entrance took my name, offered a seat, and even coffee or water, that was a really nice touch.Jorge came out and asked me some questions about my computer, gave me helpful information and took my computer.A couple days later I got a phone call asking me for authorization to follow the repairs, and only a few more days later I got another phone call saying that my computer was ready.I made an appointment even is not required but they have plenty of availability.When I walked in I told the guy the reason I was there and after sitting me at a table and offering something to drink again Jorge walked to me with my computer, he made sure computer was working good and explained to me what they had to repair, I asked a couple more questions and he responded very knowledgeable and professional.I loved the process and how kind people is, BTW there was no charge at all, repair and service was completely free and I just paid for an external hard drive that was even cheaper than anywhere else.Once again Jorge transfered all my data to it, thank you very much Jorge!.
The people here were very friendly and came up to ask of we needed help quickly. They cater to everyone and will gladly help you with any problems or even simply charge you devices for you while you look around. They also have a robot which is quite unique.
We went with two laptops for repairs. The first laptop they said it needed a new hard drive and could not fix it because it was purchased in Brazilian and their codes are different. Well my wife had to return to Brazil for work and her tech guy just reinstalled software and is working fine. Hmmm, I guess it wasnt a faulty hard drive? Then my laptop had a virus and they were going to clean it for free. Then I get a call saying the hard drive is bad and needs a new fan. I told them go ahead and change the hard drive which I actually upgraded, but dont replace the fan because the time frame they were giving me was two weeks minimum and my wife was leaving for Brazil in days. Taking that laptop to replace hers. Once in Brazil the same tech said there was nothing wrong with the fan? Well I might be heading back to Brazil in a few months and taking with me the old hard drive. My bet is it wont be defective and just needed to have the virus removed. I think this store is a scam to get people to keep buying new parts that with a real tech will work just fine.
Kids have a ton of fun. Sales folks are knowledgeable and friendly. Really enjoy the various kids classes they offer.
This is the most inept store Ive ever been to. If i could give it 0 stars i would.We needed our computer looked at, and diagnosed. 5 days later, no call, I call them, yes its ready we called 3 days ago and left a message, they did not. Then we get there to pick it up and they have lost the charger we left with them. Then they said they couldnt do it because the mother board was damaged. They have to mail us a new charger, and we got no answers. We felt like no one knew what was going on, or cared. Horrible customer service, bad business for Microsoft. We headed to Best Buy and have been completely taken care of, nothing Microsoft told us turned out to be the issue. Do not go to this store, geek squad is what I recommend.

Worse store manager I have ever met. She was very unpleasant & unprofessional! I accompanied my daughter to purchase a laptop. I was surprised when they were charging the keyboard separately for MS surface! I told her that it is like buying a car & purchasing wheel separately! The unprofessional manager said that: “YES, WE SELL THE CAR WITHOUT WHEELS” ! Hence we left and lost our buisness for life.

This Microsoft Store is great! The store is clean, well staffed with friendly and knowledgeable employees. They have a huge inventory of everything Microsoft related including partner brands like Lenovo and HP as well a massive Xbox section for gamers.I specifically visited the store because of an issue with my Xbox and WITHOUT an appointment I was able to be helped by a technician within an hour.The tech who helped me, Taylor, was patience, helpful and respectful of the situation and my time; and ultimately was able to fix my issue within the same visit.If you’re at SCP, and especially if you’re an Xbox fan, definitely pay this store a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Bought an oculus rift on the 9th of October. I drove 4 hours back home, and opened it to find it empty. Called promptly to get my money back, it’s now the 24th and I haven’t been refunded
Brought my Xbox in to get repaired and I was incredibly impressed. The store was very busy that day but they were still able to help me out quickly and efficiently and now my xbox is working great again. Taylor in particular was a great help!

I stopped by looking for a PC alternative to the iPad. The wait time wasnt bad, about 20 minutes; which honestly isnt a big deal when youre playing with electronics. Being a tech myself I didnt need help picking a device - but was surprised that the staff understood enough about their products to ask the right questions. The prices are full price - so your not getting the Amazon discount, but your able to walk out with device in hand.I recommend buying through the store and the reason for this review is because I had an issue with my device 6 months down the road. I spoke with a rep on the phone and was able to get in contact with the manager (Michael) who was able to help me replace a defective product the same day.Thats something thats not possible with online retailers and barely possible with brick and mortar stores after your 30 day period.

This place has an amazing atmosphere the employees were nice. You can go in there and relax or look for the best pc/android devices including the best gaming equipment. Plus its in a very nice small so you can also go out there even if you get bored of the shop. They also let you play on the computers. There are Xboxes, Laptops, and Computers. They also let you download the game so then you can play the game. In Apple Stores, they do not let you demo any games on their products. At Microsoft, they let you demo games on their computers so you can experience what you can at home. Overall, Micosoft is a great Tech Retail Store. (No offense to Apple.)
The people in the store were great but unfortunately you cant call them on the phone directly you have to call through a call center but I still got the service I needed and we have a very good return policy
Bought a new computer and had them transfer the data from my old one. Just a small laptop I use for work so only 40 GB or so of data. After three days of calling and being routed to a regional call center and told they couldn’t update me on the status of my computer I just went to the store. They told me it had been done for a day and someone should have called. Yea, someone should have, but they didn’t. This store is so much less crowded than the apple store you would think they’d make a point to deliver great customer service, but they continuously drop the ball
I recently purchased a Surface and the support Ive received so far in-store has been absolutely phenomenal. The South Coast location in particular is really helpful. I had to do an exchange due to a defective unit and they were able to replace it with a brand new one on the spot. They helped me out with setting the device up as well as initiating the exchange and providing me a receipt.If youre thinking of purchasing a new Windows laptop, definitely do it at a Microsoft store if you can. The people here are really nice to interact with and theyre not trying to push you to buy anything. Compared to an Apple store, Id say MSFT is wayyy friendlier. They even offered me a beverage while I waited.Amazing service, and this location will be my go-to for any computer repairs and support!
Great service, staff were all very friendly and eager to help. I needed some help with a product warranty, they took care of it within 10 minutes of me being there (returned product, got a new one). I would recommend bringing any microsoft issues you have here, regardless of where you initially bought the product

Was kind of a strange experience for me. They promised a device on hold & when I got there they couldnt find the item. Ive also been promised receipts that were supposed to be arriving via email (I never got).
I’d give zero stars if I could. Bummer bummer bummer. I bought my laptop online (Microsoft surface laptop) in July 2018. My charger stopped working after 2 months. They replaced it with a new one somehow pointing out to me that the problem was with the charger. In November 2018, same thing same process and replaced again. Today again on March 5, 2019 it stopped working again and they would still tell me that the problem is with the charger and not laptop. My roommate uses the same laptop since the past 2 years and his charger is working completely fine without any problem. His charger works completely fine in my laptop.When I go to the store, asking them for a solution they offer to replace the laptop without the charger or replace the charger without the laptop which btw is all refurbished. I am totally disappointed with their customer service. I mean come on. The owner is in the Forbes richest list and would rip off their customers like this?I spend almost 30 bucks one way on Uber to get to the store everytime the charger is replaced. I do not recommend Microsoft to anyone. Shifting from apple to Microsoft was the biggest mistake of my life. Its like finding million dollars in a grave and putting it back inside for a 10$ bill. You guys need to up your customer service by any means.P.S. I just told them I do not want to come back for the same problem again and they didn’t have the solution for that
I like this store, it does give you a visual to what Microsoft does besides Windows. The store is big and the staff is helpful. There are a lot of hands on demos you can try such as the VR demo, the studio products demos... etc. It is definitely worth a visit.

Such an awesome store, they have an Xbox one out for play as well as scores of computers and surface tablets. and Windows phones. they hold summer camps here for kids to learn to code, very cool of them. Oh and theres a 3d printer here too
Wait was too long. Everyone is so supposedly focused on what they are doing that they dont see someone standing there for at least 15 minutes.I took my Surface Pro for a boot up issue. They sold me a power supply but the problem continued and was booting up once in a blue moon. They never fixed the problem or at least tell me that they are not able to fix the problem, just pretended that everything was okay.Seriously thinking about having a bon fire party and throw this piece of &%it in it and dance around it.

Do not bother spending your money at any Microsoft Store. Surface Pro battery died and they want $400 to replace after spending $500 to buy, or spend another $600 for new Surface Pro. Unit used as test product for corporate purchase consideration, yet online support only attempts to push sale other products or deny any responsibility of product life span. Customer service is completely unreliable or assisting. Why would I recommend to corporate any large purchase when single unit has become a permanently plugged in immobile laptop unit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

My experience is calling to talk to someone at the store. I call the local number but got transferred to the centralized switch board with any one of the five choices on the automated system.One time the call center sent me back to a store rep, he was trying to hep but was not able to locate my receipt.The other 3 times, I got disconnected from the call center after waiting online for 10 minutes each time.Ive spent more than an hour JUST TO TALK TO SOMEONE AT THE STORE.IT CANNOT BE THAT HARD.Customer Service really SUCKS.

I came here for a warranty service for my surface 3, the first one they gave me was a dud, got constant blue screen of death (a note to Microsoft techs, please dont cheap out and hand a junk computer to your customer, or they will be back). The second associate who helped me, Elliot, was wonderful, he was very professional, I got my replacement and its working great, thanks again Elliot, keep up the good work.

Brother ordered Xbox One for Christmas, it arrived broken. We took it into the microsoft store, and they replaced it. No hassle, just loooooong waiting times. I recommend if you can stand to wait 40 minutes.
Microsoft sent an update that crashed my wife’s cpu. After an entire night online with their techs I was told to take it in to a store, 50 miles from my home!Let me start by saying, the store was a sad imitation of an Apple store with a lot less people in it and a staff that didn’t seem happy to be there.The “tech” Luisa was rude to my wife, insulting her on her 2 year old cpu and blaming her for not backing it up. Now we will have to see if it will actually be fixed 5-7 days from now and make another 100 mile round trip to pick it up.This is why I’m glad I’m a Mac.
