Had great service the first time with timely service and reasonable price. Called again recently to schedule an appointment for my A/C. He asked if I could drop my car off for a period of time and started to mention days. Then proceeded to say he didn’t have time for me in the next few weeks with no follow up response. It’s a shame to lose a potential long-time customer over a phone call. Poor customer service.

When I called and explained the situation and asked if it could be fixed that day, Tim said yes. Yay! I was on the road in less than 90 minutes from the time I got the car to the shop. $310 was the total, tax included. Some might say that is high. But he put working on my car to the front of the line, had the parts on hand and had me on the road in no time! Saved me money because I didnt have to get a hotel while I waited for parts to arrive or the mechanic to get to my car way down on the list. I also asked if additional parts were needed and they didnt try to sell me extra stuff. Thank you again, Tim.

Boyfriend and I were visiting a friend in Council Bluffs, about 45 minutes away from our home in Omaha. Our car started smoking white and smelled like a coolant leak, so we found the closest, most affordable, best reviewed shop near us and drove straight there. Tim greeted us and was very empathetic for our situation. He took us in immediately, gave us the most affordable price for the repair, showed us the malfunctioned part, and we waited for only about an hour as they fixed our car. Very helpful today saving the day by rescuing my 2007 Honda Accord after road hazards (potholes) got the best of its front suspension. After car places like Edwards and Suzuki telling me my car was fixed and paying them almost 3000 dollars it wasnt fixed. It kept doing the same thing. I brought it here and they were very nice and they made sure the problem was fixed. Its finally fixed for a fair price. I highly recommend this place! I will bring my car here from now on.

Bluffs Affordable has been great to me, I first found them because I was having a minor issue with my car and Firestone had a list of over $5,000 worth of repairs that they wanted to do (Including replacing the entire front end suspension, which I had replaced myself less than a year before, and could not have been in need of any kind of repair). In fact they told me that they would not fix my minor problem unless they did all of that work. Tim, at Bluffs Affordable completed only the work which was required to keep my car safe to drive, and did it for about $1,000. They were great to work with, quick, and never once tried to up-sell me or tell me that other things were wrong with my car. Since then I have been back to Bluffs Affordable to have another simple repair performed and again they were great to work with.

Ive taken many of our families cars to Tim for different things and every time Ive been treated with the utmost respect. Always done when promised for a very affordable price. Ill keep recommending all my friends and family there.

Been a long while since I met an honest mechanic. They won me over with their honesty and competitive prices. Will use their services again in a heartbeat!

Trying to make me pay to bypass my security key system because Tim failed to program it to the 2 ND computer thats had to been installed by his shop.So now he says any key will start it.And because of personal diffeculties,told me they didnt offer financing to help me with the continuous repairs his shop has to make even though Ive put over 12,000.00 into my vehicle over the past year and a half.im having to have sudden so called repairs every month now.And when he called me a week after we agreed I could pick up my car on the first,he called yelling and screaming at me that Id better get my car now,or was to be charged 10 dollars a day storage.And I was also accused of being on drugs when I asked why my car had to have all these repairs every month.not a good shop or business ethics.Very rude and always blaming the customer.i havent even put 10,000 miles on my car since he overhauled just about everything that a car has mechanical wise.

Took my Trailblazer in and told them i needed a tune-up. They told me they would put it on the diagnostic machine and instead of a tune-up i got a cam sensor. Got the truck back and still ran the same. He told me we probably needed to change the plugs and to run premium fuel. We did that. Wrong. And i believe that a tune-up includes changing plugs? Took it back with the codes that i was given at auto zone and he told me i needed a camshaft actuator which was not even the same code. After charging us more the truck runs worse than when i originally took it to him. Then when we call him back and see if he is going to make it right ($350 later), he pretty much told us to go f*** ourselves.So after his response i took my trailblazer to another mechanic and after replacing the coil pack and $140 my truck runs better than ever. I wouldnt recommend bluffs affordable auto repair to my worst emeny. What a rip off. You want a real mechanic hit me up.

I have a 2005 Ford F150 with a 5.4l 3 valve motor and everyone knows about them. after shopping around looking for some place I can trust my baby with My truck, I took it to Bluffs Affordable Auto to have my motor replaced. They put in a new remanded motor with unlimited miles and a 3 year warranty, as of now I have put over 8,000 miles on the truck and it has never ran and drive this great. The owner Tim was so accommodating to me and getting me back on the road in 3 days time. As for the price of getting it done he was over 1,000.00 $ cheaper than any of the dealership I took it to for pricing. Since i have the motor replaced in my truck I have been back there for every oil change and also had a rear u joint replaced that was making noise. cant say enough good things about Tim and his co workers.

I called to ask how much it would cost to bleed my brakes and the person on the other end talked to me like i was stupid. They said if you cant bleed your own brakes, what makes you think i can?. Also they wanted to charge me extra because my zerk in the back was rusted and they wanted extra for having to deal with it.

I was new to the council bluffs omaha area I got into an accident and my car was leaking coolant and the a.c. didnt work anymore. I looked at a couple different repair shops in council bluffs being a female I didnt know where to take my car and who to trust. After talking with Tim at bluffs affordable auto I felt comfortable with him working on my car and his prices were the lowest. Long story short he fixed my radiator problem and my a.c. problem and it works just as good if not better than before the accident. I will continue to go there for all of my services from here on out. I recommend them to all my friends and family. Tim and his co workers go above and beyond out of their way to help me.

Affordable Auto not even close, I cant even express how I feel about how they robbed me over a diagnostic of $185.00. Thats not even the bad part, a good professional mechanic would let the customer know how much it would cost to perform the service but instead he did not notify us on the cost of the vehicle. Also, his personality does not make the whole experience any better. Avoid this place before its too late!

I want to personally recommend Bluffs affordable auto repair to any and everyone needing auto repair or maintenance. Its next to impossible to find an honest, reliable and trustworthy mechanic, but you can find one there. Tom helped my husband and I today with our clutch fan. After replacing our water pump, we were unable to detach the fan from the old water pump. After days of struggling and fighting with this bolt, we were desperate and ready to give up. Not only did Tom take time out of his day to address our problem....he was courteous, very helpful and didnt even charge us anything! Dont take my word for it-go check them out and you wont regret it!!!!

Took my Hummer in to have motor replaced with a reman. I had inspections done from 4 places one was h&h. They all said the same thing needed a new motor. After Hummer was dropped off for the swap I noticed on my DVR footage that they took it and ran around picking up parts with it. After getting Hummer back I noticed air bag warning light was on. No temp being registered on the gague and they forgot to put my intake cover back on. Drove back to shop and they put my intake cover back on and when I asked about the problems I was having they said it was like that when I brought it in. Well thats not true as the 4 places I had do inspections would of documented that. The shop that fixed air bag sensor showed me it was crushed and the wire for the temp sensor was sliced. Now the new motor is blowing white smoke at 2k miles on startup which its done it 2 times. Their answer is to leave the vehicle there until it reproduces the problem. Till this day still no call from the owner Tim address any of the issues. He is extremely rude. They might be able to do simple tasks but forget anything other changing oil or spark plugs. Also ran into a guy at another shop who was there having them fix the mistakes made at this place. I will be doing a small claims lawsuit soon. Thank God the motors warranty covers any shop doing it.
