I was so impressed with my visit to Lake Highlands Automotive! My car was making a strange noise and when I called to check availability, they told me to bring my car in that afternoon. After a test drive, one of the employees easily and quickly identified the problem. It was fixed within 10 minutes and I was good to go! The kindness, knowledge of cars, and care for customers was just what I needed to turn my Manic Monday around.

Went in to get my tires Changed didn’t do a good job gave me my car back with had a flat tire. Also damaged the lug nuts on all my tires so on my driver side front wheel only has 2 lug nuts . Don’t recommend at all very unprofessional I asked to talk to the manager and he told me that my car came out in good shape that they made sure every thing was good and then the employee that worked on my car said that my tire was flat and that he should of done a better job of checking it. 🤨🤨

Used LH Auto to get an AC issue fixed. They actually provided a really thorough diagnostic report that included a lot of issues unrelated to the AC issue. These werent made up issues to make more money, these were important safety issues. The AC got fixed and some structural repairs done as well. Unfortunately, the AC had some issues shortly afterward. As I contacted LH Auto, they were obviously extremely busy. I was completely surprised by the staffs desire toget the AC fixed properly. In particular, the manager, Adam, went out of his way to not only stand by their work and the parts but to make it as convenient as possible for us. This level of integrity is rare in people, let alone businesses. Its great to know their are people like Adam and businesses like LH Auto still around.

Wheel barrings replacement. They gave me a fair price.Service was excellent. They even provided an Uber to and from my house and also vacuumed the inside. Highly recommend.

I have several friends who are clueless about car and car repairs tell stories of shock and awe when the expected to pay hundreds sometime a thousand dollars but only paid thirty bucks or maybe 80 bucks or even 180 bucks. All my friends know my father was a master mechanic so I know all about engines and suspensions. They ask what I think Lake Highlands Automotive might be up to,. Thinking something expensive is about go wrong. Nothing like that happens. The work is quality. Prices are fair.

Lake Highlands,I just wanted to give a glowing and fantastic recommendation for Adam Tharp and the Lake Highlands Automotive staff. First of all, I was referred by a friend in the area and was told to walk in and let Adam know that my friend sent me. He immediately came to the front desk from the shop and asked “how can I help you?” I told him about my tire sensor, and in no less than 90 seconds after I got there, Adam was checking my tires and figuring out the problem. He quickly figured out I had a nail in my left front tire and his technician plugged it, cleared the Tire sensor light, and said,”that will be $8.50”. So, in no more than 10 minutes time total, I walked in a complete stranger, was treated like I had known Adam for years, and had my issue fixed immediately. I had taken my Honda into a different dealership that’s quoted me $1200 worth of repairs. Then, I was referred to Lake Highlands Automotive. Here they thoroughly inspected my car and determined I did not need many of those repairs I had been told about. There were a few quick easy fixes and I spend 1/4 of the cost that I thought I was going to have to spend. They were quick, very helpful, and honest. I will be going back!

Josh assisted me with the report of my vehicle letting me know that all the work reported was important, but gave me the required work to get me safely back on the road. Called ahead to ask about a diagnostic for my vehicle because I was having transmission problems. Spoke to John on the phone who said to bring it in and they could try to work it in today. Once I arrived at the location, I was rudely told that they dont do any sort of diagnostic for transmissions and wouldnt run a diagnostic on my car at all.Quick Summary: Huge waste of time; rude and uninformed staff

My car was so loud since the day I bought it in July, when I picked up my car from them it was the first time it ran smoothly with no noise. It was also very nice to have a trustworthy mechanic shop who communicate with you and are truthful. Thank you guys so much!!

Last week I had the timing belt replaced, oil change, state inspection and thought I needed new breaks. They called me and said my breaks were fine, this was impressive and honest. I dropped my car off in the morning and they got me to work. I had my car back in time to go home and it was under $1000.00. I was expecting it to cost me much more. I am usually not one to take the time to write a review, but I just had to write one for this place. If I could give this place a rating that is lower than a zero, I definitely would! I took my car here after my check engine light came on some months ago. They stated it was a sensor that needed replacement so I agreed to getting it repaired. I picked up my car, my check engine didnt come back on, I took that as a good sign. It wasnt until recently that my car started acting weird here and there, but my check engine light hadnt come on, so I decided to take it to another mechanic that I was referred to. I came to find that the sensor that had been replaced by Lake Highlands Automotive was never actually replaced. This place is a complete RIP OFF! I paid $60 for the sensor they told me they had replaced and they also charged me for a diagnostics fee and labor fee that totaled $150. I ended up paying a little over $200 for a job that was NEVER done. I decided to come to this place because of the good reviews I had read, but I completely regret it. Now my sensor was really replaced, and by half the price of what this place charged me. If you are looking for repairs, stay away from this place unless you want to be ripped off and lied to.

They never suggest excessive or unnecessarywork to be done, thoroughly explain their assessments, and go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and informed every step of the way. In my experience they often have beat their own estimates for repairs, and while they will point out other things that need fixing, they dont try to scare you into doing stuff you dont need. Once, they called to tell me a predicted major repair on my old car turned out to be relatively minor, when they could have skipped testing everything and charged me hundreds more. So I trust them.

Nothing but great things to say about the team at LH Automotive. I trust them completely and they take great care of our entire familys cars.

My mother just took her old 96 Cherokee up there for an oil change and pan gasket to be replaced, but I told her to leave. They tried to take advantage of her being an elderly woman. Quoted $330 for the work, and 4-5 hours to complete it. They were not busy and had several mechanics sitting around, even joking about their uniforms being so clean because they arent doing anything. This is basic work. The highest price weve gotten yet by more than $100, by more than 1/3. Thats ridiculous. These people should be ashamed of themselves for trying to gouge an old lady like this on such a simple repair. The mechanic getting the job is charging more than $100 less, is ASE certified, and will be done in under an hour. Couldnt stop saying how easy the job is. The thing is, Im lacking the torque wrench and the desire to clean up a bunch of damned oil or else Id do it myself. Its an hour job at most with this vehicle! Even shady labor manuals only put it at 2 hours. Total Rip Off. And from the looks of other reviews, even when they do have a lower price, you get what you pay for.

Have taken my car here several times and have always had a good experience. Im not sure they are the cheapest place pricewise, but their prices always seem fair and their work is always good. Ive always had very honest dealings with them, and my husband now tells me just take it to Lake Highlands Automotive whenever there is a problem, because he trusts them too, and knows we wont be given the runaround. Hard to find a decent auto mechanic facility these days, but this is definitely one of them.

When they fixe something in my car I dont have to bring my car no more. They do a fantastic job. They are honest and very very professional. I highly recommend u to check them out. UPDATE (12.27.2019) Ive had my car almost 2 wks...good to go; got a litl misfire, but I need some work on my neglected car which was identified when they went thru it with a fine tooth comb, sent pics of parts that needed addressed immediately and so forth along with an explaination of how it should work and what damage itll do if I dont address it - all of this was in an email ... pic & explanation under it! COVENIENCE! They even vacuumed my car which hadnt been vacd in a year! Not going under a tree anymore after this treatment; price was fair too my peeps say! *****CONVENIENCE to where I live and seems on the up & up...very personable and I like that, so Ill let yall know though!!! Alternator & power steering leak.

They tried to rip us off with a ridiculous price for a bulb change. I sent my son there to see how much to replace a fog light bulb for my Honda Accord. We already purchased the replacement bulb so we only needed them to put it in. They quoted him $126. I got on the phone and told them thats absurd. We went down the street to another shop and they fixed it for $15. You get nowhere in life trying to rip people off.

My husband & I are big fans of this place! Last year I went to Autozone when my car died for them to replace my battery. The guy who did it either lost a part in the process or didnt connect it correctly and it got lost later. So my car randomly would just stop moving forward even though the radio, engine, etc. all stayed on and working. Worried it was a really huge issue, we took it to Lake Highlands Automotive after a friend suggested it. Went in, they immediately pinpointed that a part was missing, ordered it, installed it the next day. They only charged us the $5 for the part, no labor, nothing on top of it. Trust has been earned! I will only be using this place from here on out.

I went to Lake Highlands Automotive for an oil change. I usually go to major corporation for everything, but i wanted to support the local community. My experience at the place itself was great. However, after I left I noticed my car delayed more and more every time I tried to start it. Before I knew it, my engine started to smoke. I was very worried so I took it to the major corporation to have it looked at. Turns out, Brandon, the mechanic at lake highlands, failed to fully secure the cap and the oil FLOODED my engine. I was billed for cleaning, labor, and an alternator which came out to almost $600 dollars. I went back to lake highlands auto to request for them to reimburse me. I spoke to Reg Baker, the owner, and he REFUSED to pay it and claimed that 1, because my car had so many miles on it, the alternator needed to be replaced regardless. I understand what he meant, but age is not what ruined it- the oil was. 2. He said because I was not charged for oil by the major corp., proves that there was no problem. After a week or so I threatened a lawsuit directly to Reg. He said the only way he would pay it is if my bill from the major corp. had a charge for oil and the cap. How does that make sense? I even tried to tell him I dont want anything else, I JUST WANTED HIM TO PAY FOR WHAT IS HIS ESTABLISHMENTS FAULT! DONT GO HERE. Itd be one thing if the mechanic just made a mistake, but Reg did not take responsibility for it. Doesnt it make you wonder what else he wont own up to?
