DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I serviced my car for a 3,000 Road Trip to get oil change, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and Brake pads replaced. However, During my road trip, I noticed white smoke from my rear and pulled over to look at it. Under my car, There was oil all over the bottom of my car. I was in the middle of nowhere and had to get my car towed 30 miles to a town. When I dropped it off at the shop, the mechanic noticed the transmission plug was missing!!! so, whoever worked on my car at Lakewood Automotive either didnt put the plug back on properly or didnt even bother to put the plug back on!!! I called and asked for a reimbursement, they said they will help me out. However, when I came in theyll only refund the transmission fluid they put in. Not the towing, nor the service I had to take it in. I asked if theyll reimburse for the service where I had to get it towed and they said they either refund the transmission fluid or I get nothing. The owner wasnt there and told me to call the next day. When I called the next day, they said the owner wasnt around. Theyre not playing nice. So theres my story. If youre planning a road trip and want professional auto service go to Belmont Garage. Stop giving this shop your money!!!

Went for transmission work and I still dont have a car after taking my car back twice in a month. I didnt have quality service very slow service and and poor work. Their service has cost me going and coming, quoted one price and every single time the price always increased and they dont believe in giving paperwork even when you ask.

Well, I was referred here because I wanted elite work for reasonable price and that I received! Jay is a standup legit knowledgeable businessman that Id recommend anyone with a vehicle (especially foreign) to go see.

I got these guys to replace a fuel pump. The dealership I had work on my car previously put in a cheap unit and then hosed me on warranty work, and put in a second faulty unit. Lakewood Automotive shows they are capable and understand how important good quality auto work and parts are. Reasonable prices considering they use brand new, brand name parts.

Took my car for an oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately they forgot to call me and I was stuck without a car. I was beyond heated. Showed up the next day to get my car and ask how this happened and they had no reason. It gets busy sometimes and sometimes things happen. But they made it right with me and they now have a customer for life they showed me they are classy guys through and through.

They are great people and price is reasonable but the service is horrible...to keep it short...I have had a/c service and rotor with brakes done in the past all wore off within 1 month which cause me to go back. Then just yesterday I went for brake work again and I literally waited over 6 hours!!! Then on the way home my steering went out (had no issues prior to them working on my brakes for 6hrs) pulled over just to find out my car is not holding any power steering fluid! Im beyond upset and hurt as this shop has ruin the most important weekend of my life and possible cost me my job due to no transportation...I will never do business with again

My husband took our truck there recently to have the ball joint put on. He also asked they check and asked if anything else needed to be fixed. Nothing was mentioned to him when he picked up the truck and paid. One week later while driving the ball joint comes off. When he called and asked to speak to the mechanic he was told that there was more work that needed to be done. So I dont know why this wasnt told to us before. Very unprofessional. Will be taking our truck elsewhere. Just wasted our time and money with them. Would give 0 star if I could.

Took my car for a Full synthetic oil change and front brake pads and rotors changed, they damaged my lug nuts so when I had a blow out I had to get my car towed to get the tire off. Also car had been running funny since I got it back come to find out the put regular oil in a car that requires full synthetic. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE THEY WILL CUT CORNERS FOR LOW PRICES PAY THE EXTRA MONEY GET YOUR CAR FIXED CORRECTLY!

They took FOREVER. They had one guy that was working on three cars at once. This is after I called ahead and made sure that it wouldnt take too long, because I had places to be. We can see you right away means 20 minutes. The job should take about an hour means two hours.They quoted a little higher than I felt was fair, so I contacted my usual mechanic and he said he could do better. I paid the $60 diagnostic fee, and told them to put my truck back together. I then stood behind the truck for 30 minutes, waiting for someone to even go over to it. When the guy finally got over to the truck to put it back together, he only needed one tool and it took him three minutes. I dont understand why he was putting it off.After I drove away, I made it onto the highway before I noticed my hood was fluttering. They had not even closed it all the way. Luckily it held on long enough for me to make it to the next exit. That could have ended up with me having a new hood, a new windshield, and a new face.That kind of made me wonder what else they forgot to do. The issue I was having was near my gas tank. When I went to fill up yesterday, I noticed that the neck of my gas tank now leaks. Its never leaked before. And theyre the only ones that have touched it. I will never ever go back to that place.The lounge was gross and uncomfortable, too. And the techs smoke right by the door, so the office area stinks.

They have terrible service. When i got here they didnt tell me how long it was going to take to have my car ready. I got here at 8 and was still here past 12. It took them 3 tries to fix my car all while giving an attitude and blaming other things for theyre bad work. I drove away and my brakes were smoking up and had to bring it back. Just to try and get my moneys worth but they seem to have no idea what theyre doing.

I went in with a battery in my car and they took my battery inorder to sell me theirs i had just purchased it 2dys.prior to my car being picked up by tow truck they did damage inside my car as well never ever again will i go there and you shouldnt either.They also went ahead a worked on the car before calling me to o.k. give the go ahead It was a horrible nightmare.they treat the elderly really bad exspecially women. Dirty evil people.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Took my car here and they fixed it for $900. A week later it was making a horrible noise so I took it back and got it fixed again. The SAME day I got it back it broke down in the middle of the street and sounded like my engine had a wrench left inside it. I had to have my car towed over 3 times in a 2 week span so I took it to a car place who could actually do quality work and they said Lakewood automotive forgot to tighten and put back something very important regarding my vehicle and safety. The place that fixed L.A screw up said if I wouldve been driving at very high rate of speed I couldve been seriously injured. So after $900 I had to pay $400 to get it fixed correctly. I called to get my money back civilly and they refuse to refund my money so legal action will be done. This place is ghetto and nasty, DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO RISK YOU LIFE AND TRANSPORTATION.

I brought my car back to them 3 weeks after a gasket replacement. They wanted to charge me another 170 even though it was the same issue from a couple weeks earlier. I called everyday for a week and they kept making excuses to why they couldn’t get it done and they told me I wasn’t “in their system”. I finally went there to discuss it and they had my car outside the gate parked by the road and didn’t notify me. They are not somewhere you should take your vehicle by any means.

I like a fool posted a review that the services provided by this establishment were outstanding. I have a 2000 BMW 328I, and the head gaskets were blown in my engine. I purchased an engine from PurzAuto (Brandon) with 74k on the engine. The installation of the engine took place on October 28, 2015. Initially, I my car was running well; however, I went out of town October 31, 2015 to visit a loved one and during my return home; the car looses power; transmission fluid flies all over the car and I had to pull too the side of the highway. I called Lakewood Automotive immediately expressing my concerns. I was advised that I needed to get my car back to Dallas that they could diagnose the problem. I was 166 miles from this location having to be towed (flatbed) paying out of pocket cost of $338.00. This business called me on November 3, 2015 advising that my transmission lines had broken. Yet, they dont provide me with a reason for this mishap! They initially told me the repair would be $163.00; only to return my car later that evening with an invoice for $489.00. I told them that my car was not running properly and they stated to bring my vehicle back on Monday the 9th of November. I called from 8:00am until Noon to be advised that the so called owner of the shop delegated that they not make suitable effort to find out what was wrong with my car; being I owed $489.00 and I needed to pay a minimum of $350.00. My question is this? Why would I pay for work that is not properly done? I went into the establishment and having to raise sand to in order to get the manager to drive the car. He himself said that when I initially brought my car into the business it wasnt running like a truck! WHY IS IT RUNNING LIKE THAT NOW? Im a woman and you think you are going to take advantage of me; I assure you no! I will take every measure necessary to reverse this wrongful action that you all performed on my vehicle. Yes, I filed a complaint with BBB as well Ken Paxton from the Attorney Generals Office. Be considerate when I 1st took my car to this establishment and their findings were cracked heads; they poured a solution in my engine called Blue Devil! They stated this is something they use often in their patrons vehicle! The cost of that was $355.00 plus the cost of a radiator, thermostat assembly and other parts. They are asking me to remit payment in the amount of $489.00; however, no one has made an effort to reimburse me for the $338.00 towing of my vehicle while stranded on Interstate 20 for hours. This is a mockery; when I asked the name of the owner; I was told he only comes by to check the books; he drops in and out of the store and was not willing to hear my concerns; but I needed to pay a minimum of $350.00 on the transmission lines! If I were a man they would not conduct in such a manner; yet I will not stop until my car is repaired to the manner in which I brought it in! I dont want money.......I want my car running like it was when I made the 1st comment about this establishment being more than satisfactory! Not to mention they broke my signal light during the so called installation of transmission lines. I brought it to their attention and was told they ordered my replacement on November 3, 2015. Today is November 9, 2015 and the light is not in yet! I went to the establishment to inquire of yet another mishap! Please beware of rip offs! I paid to this business more than $1600.00 in less than a months time, and my car is running like a TRUCK!

First off, the prices are really good here because they deal directly with the (Brand name auto parts) store nearby. Second, the people are friendly especially Lewis (or Louis) and I didnt feel like theyre upselling me. The waiting room inside is a bit outdated but cozy.
