This was my first time receiving services at Tangerine salon, and I was really impressed with just about everything. The front desk girls were really kind and what I appreciated more than anything was just being acknowledged. I hate going in somewhere and people seeing me walk in but no one greeting me so I stand there just feeling like I’m not welcome.Establishment is very nice and well kept. My services were great! Alyssa is so awesome! I think I found my hair stylist! She saw the mess of hair I had and didn’t make me feel bad about it. She offered services to rebuild the strength and integrity of my hair which made my hair feel great and after I just washed my hair, it still feels very soft. She nailed the look I was going for which I didn’t think would be too hard to, but I went to a salon previously that didn’t do anything close to what I wanted. Alyssa was very sweet and fun to talk to and I look forward to visiting the salon again soon!

I go to Lee Ann at Tangerine Salon and I ALWAYS have a great experience. She is always extremely professional, while also having a personal touch of remembering me and the things we discuss during the haircut. Troy is by far the best hair stylist/colorist Ive ever had in the 20+ years Ive lived in the United States, and Ive lived in fancy places like Boston where youd think Dallas hair stylists could not measure up. Well, let me tell you, Troy definitely beats the competition. I shouldnt tell you this because it is only going to make it harder for me to get an appointment with him, but hes so good that he deserves to be booked three months out.My previous hair stylist in Dallas severely damaged my hair from over-bleaching it and Troy, bless his heart, didnt let me do highlights too early because he always kept in mind the long term health of my hair. I also love that he does both color and cut so he owns the final look. And frankly the final look is always amazing. I thank my lucky stars for the day I happened to be booked with him because he had an opening.If Troy isnt available, the other person I can recommend for color/cut is Ryder. Im sure the other stylists are great too but I havent tried them for color/cut.

Tangerine Dallas is THE BEST! I have been seeing Kevin for about three years now and he gives me the perfect cut and color every time. Brooke is my stylist and I’ve been so happy with my results. It’s a little pricey, but pretty standard for Dallas, and I know Brooke won’t let me leave until I like my hair. I’m an African American woman that periodically gets Brazilian blowouts and Kevin has done a PHENOMENAL job with my hair over the past year. I wear my hair straight and go back every three months for trims. With his help I’ve been able to grow my hair 7 inches! Highly recommend if you’re a straight natural.

Have worked with Ashely York, three times now and she doesn’t disappoint! When I brought up concerns about my overly tangled, hypothyroid thinning frail hair. She had an immediate solution and told me it will take time but we’ll get it to grow healthy and strong. So far I’ve managed to grow my hair naturally and healthy, we both looked at each other with such satisfaction and content. Not only have I had a Brazilian Keratin treatment but now that I have much healthier hair, we’ve move onto hair coloring for the summer, which I’m super happy with. She has a great sense of style, is punctual and professional. All the things to make me feel comfortable and confident with the options she gives me and decisions I have to make. Absolutely LOVE this salon and my stylist Alyssa! I have very fine, thin hair. It breaks off VERY easily. Alyssa has been able to get my hair to actually GROW and has brought it back to a healthy state. My hair is healthier than it has been in probably 12 years! I can now bleach it platinum blonde and it doesn’t break. Alyssa makes sure to use the the BEST products for MY hair and she takes extreme precautions when coloring it so we keep it healthy. She also added extensions in this last time to give me more fullness and length and everywhere I go, someone comments them. Alyssa is a HAIR QUEEN! I will never use anyone else.

So I came in 3 weeks ago and got my bleached and colored. At the time of my coloring I was told;1. My hair wouldn’t be fried from having it bleached twice in one day.2. I wouldn’t need to come in for touch ups for 8 weeks.3. The only information I was given on how to care for my hair was to wait 3 days before washing it and to use color safe shampoo.All of this information was wrong. My hair looked fairly damaged, the color had faded a lot after only two weeks even after buying their expensive shampoo and conditioner that was supposed to help the color last longer. While all of this information was bad on its own I had been severely under quoted for the service, paying nearly $700 for what I had been told would be around $500.At two weeks I left a harsh review explaining my frustration about the result of my experience. I was fairly pleased when the owner (or at least it says it’s the owner) of the salon commented on it within a couple hours of me posting the review and said they were embarrassed and a manager would reach out to me ASAP. They never did.After 5 days I called them and was able to speak to a manager. She apologized for my experience and that they hadn’t reached out. After discussing the situation what turned out to be the real problem was that my stylist (a master 2 level stylist btw) had failed to communicate things properly to me. She didn’t teach me how to care for my hair aside from the shampoo and conditioner (which didn’t work) and she was wrong about the timeline for how long it’d take before I’d need touch ups because it was 4 weeks not 8.The solution we came to was to give me a partial refund on the coloring, a full refund on the products, and a free healing treatment with a different stylist the very next day. After the treatment my hair definitely does feel a lot better, which I am grateful for. I’m not getting my hair recolored there because I would like something that lasts longer nor do I feel like color that only lasts 2-4 weeks is worth the amount I originally was quoted.What I would suggest for anyone coming here is to not get what they call fashion colors (any non natural color really) but their other services are more worth it. Get a consultation and ask a million questions and ask to see the stylists work on similar things. Don’t be afraid to ask for a different stylist if you don’t feel like the one you talked to is right for you. And if something does go wrong contact them. You might have to be persistent but they will work with you to fix it once you can get a hold of them.

Ive been coming to Tangerine for almost 2 years now. Sarah is AMAZING!! :) I have always struggled with salons not knowing how to cut my curly hair correctly, but Sarah does an awesome job. My hair has never looked this good. I started coming after years of using heat on my hair, as well as having chlorine damage from being a lifeguard. Those two did not combine well lol. My hair looked awful. Its been a long hair journey, but it has seriously all paid off!! I absolutely love how my hair looks now!!

Kelsey McCarroll is awesome! My hair turns out amazing each time and I get compliments right up to my next appointment. Shes always happy to try something new based on a picture or idea. I look forward to hair day for weeks!

Brooke Miller is the only person who I have ever found that can cut my thick hair in long layers that makes it more manageable for me. She also does a very good job covering my grays and suggested highlighting which I LOVED ! I highly recommend her !

I have been going to Tangerine Salon (Preston Hollow) as a client of Troy Hunt for 2.5 years. Troy is so great working with my blonde hair, and he has made it so healthy since seeing him…I would never go anywhere else. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get about how great my hair looks or how fast it’s growing. I had over-processed, damaged hair when I came to see Troy. He has transformed my hair into a healthy blonde that actually grows instead of breaks. He is so talented!!!

DO NOT COME HERE. I have had good service here but they ALWAYS CANCEL APPOINTMENTS SAME DAY. There are plenty of other salons in Dallas...just dont do it. Twice now I have had to SCRAMBLE to reschedule a major service before an important event where I cant just come in a week later. Why would I continue to come to a salon where I have to constantly adjust my already busy schedule around them, especially since theyll probably just cancel my rescheduled appointment again lol.

She also uses several nice Aveda products on my hair which makes my hair feel and look healthy. I highly recommend the light pink Aveda shampoo and conditioner. These products are expensive, but worth the money. Because of the high quality small amounts of each are required thus stretching your money.

I have been going to Kevin Walsh (Walnut Hill location) since 2008 - .I followed him when he left the Highland Village location, and I would follow him anywhere! He’s amazing and always does a superb job with my highlights and haircuts! He is THE HAIR GOD!

Sarah Heng is amazing and very insightful on her styling! She was my first stylist since I moved to Dallas. Ive since recommended her to my sister and she has loved her styling as well.

I can’t say enough about the Tangerine Salon in Dallas. The staff is always very warm and welcoming. I always make sure to book with my favorite stylist Kevin. He has become more like family, if I only I could take him home with me! Ahh I girl can dream!

I, my mom and my sister had a consultation appointment today. The person who handles the text messaging service told us that we all three were scheduled for appointments at 11.45 am. When we went there, my sister and my mom were able to get someone to consult with. As we are not from here, I went to my moms consultation to help my mom better understand what the stylist is saying. The stylist then asked me if we both have appointments or just my mom, to which I said we both have appointments. She said okay. Then after my moms consultation was done, she took my mom towards the counter to get her next appointment scheduled. I said I am still waiting for my appointment to which the stylist replied that she has another client to see at 12. I was like okay no problem some other stylist might see me. But after few minutes, the ladies at the counter told me that they do not have any stylist available at the moment and Ill have to schedule again. I was like I told your stylist that I also have appointment! She was like yeah our stylist came but you were busy with your mom! It was because she cannot speak English very well!!! I said that why I would have to wait when I was scheduled already.. they said yeah were sorry. Seriously? I felt that they treated us this way because they knew we are not from here. They were taking all the clients quickly as soon as they were coming in and only we were waiting. I am extremely disappointed and disheartened 😞 It was my first time ever visiting a salon in Dallas and it was the worst experience.

I have been coming to Tangerine Salon and seeing LeeAnne for the past year and I have never been so happy with my hair! LeeAnne is the best at educating me on how to keep my hair healthy and takes the time to make me feel valued as a client. She always listens to what I ask for and I leave feeling great about my haircut or color 😊

Ive been getting my hair cut by Sarah for several years. I havent ever received a bad cut.Sarah is always cheerful and makes the process very enjoyable.

They are always packed, take an appointment, it might be a long wait but its worth it, I took the master stylist and she did a good job. I suggest having a concrete idea of what you want. Will probably visit again.
