Excellent mens clothing store. I bought a pair of Alden boots from them and they made the process incredibly easy. They had to order them directly from Alden and it was painless. They even threw in an extra pair of laces and some leather conditioner as well. If youre looking from fine Alden shoes and boots in Dallas, this is the place to go.

I just wanted to say Thank You to Culwell & Sons Tuxedo rental group. I mixed up my and my fathers tuxedoes and did not discover it until 55 minutes before I supposed to be in pre-wedding pictures. I was unable to reach my father and panicking I went to the store and they were calm and collected and were able to provide another set of pants, shirt and coat very quickly. They must have a large in-store inventory because I am a non-standard size. I made it to the photography session with minutes to spare. (and was able to hand off to my father his tuxedo at the church). Crisis averted. And they were nice tuxedoes too - unlike some I have rented in the past from other places. Great inventory and great service.Thank You!

Culwell and Son is absolutely phenomenal! We are using their tuxedo rental for our wedding next week and everything from the time you enter the doors is exceptional. The customer service we received from Giovanny and Chase has been all we have raved about to our friends and family. They helped us to carefully select the best colors and individual pieces to each suit and tuxedo to best match our wedding palette and handled every change we called in for with ease. We went back several times over the past few months for other family members to be fitted and we received the exact same five star experience each time, even in the middle of prom season when they were incredibly busy. We had to bring our small kids in with us a few times and they entertained them with menswear magazines and explained the different types of tuxedos to them and each step of the fitting process which taught me things I didnt even know and captivated their attention the entire time we were there. Today my fiancee went to pick up the suits and they noticed his pants leg was a bit loose and they fixed it on the spot before he left. I cant say enough how grateful we are for the care and dedication they have to their customers and their careers and will be back for years to come!

Be careful! On 3-9-21 I called the store to inquire about a special they had of two suits and two shirts for $1095. When I called I asked if they were suits off the rack and altered, the person on the phone told me no they were made to measure. I asked again to insure that was for the $1095 price and he said it was, two made to measure suits and two shirts. On 3-10-21 I arrived after driving an hour from fort worth to have them tell me for that price you get a suit off the rack. I was very upset that I just drove an hour and was lied to. When I brought this to their attention the only response I got was a sorry, the person on the phone must have misunderstood the sale. I dont think they did, I believe this was done on purpose. Wether it was or not they offered me nothing for their mistake and me driving two hours for nothing.

I used to just walk in and get a decent cut until I found Ashley! She is THE BEST! She is from California and has styled many of my favorite celebrities! I often see her work on covers of magazines when I’m in the grocery store as well. So happy she is here in Dallas! My sons and grandchildren love her. She also cuts and styles my wife and daughter-in-laws hair. She is part of the family now and I wont let anyone else touch my hair! Highly recommend Ashley if youre going to the Grooming Room!

Culwell & Son does such an amazing job! Ask for Giovanni Di Sotto, he is an expert at what he does and is always on top of it. They helped with our wedding in September and we had a lot of rentals to be taken care of. 12 groomsmen, 18 ushers, 2 fathers, and 1 grandfather, and everything turned out beautifully.

JoeAnna has been cutting my hair for around 5 years now and I can say in those 5 years not one has been bad! No matter the style, she can handle it and give you a great look. Give her a shout!

This place is incredible.I must admit that I was initially overwhelmed. I came in looking for a suit for my wedding with basically no knowledge of suits (aside from some googling) and never having owned one.Jay, one of the employees, was awesome! He took the time and had the patience to help me find the perfect suit, even going so far as to explain some of the history and styles over time. Excellent customer service. I came in once a week for 3 weeks and Jay remembered my name and was quick to help each time.Aside from the awesome customer service, they have a great selection of suits, ties, and shoes. You can even get a suit made from scratch to fit you perfectly.Overall I highly recommend Culwell and Son and will be returning in the future.

I had to rent a tux for a friends wedding and was having trouble finding the specific tux that I needed in order to match the rest of the wedding party. Not only did Culwell & Son have what I needed, but the customer service was phenomenal. Ty really went above and beyond in helping me get the right tux. Not only did he make sure everything was perfect, but he explained what he was doing along the way, so that I would understand as well. Ive purchased several suits and been to well over a dozen suit shops and tailors in my life and I can honestly say that Ive never been treated better than I was at Culwell & Son. I will be returning for all of my needs in the future, and absolutely recommend going to them to anybody else who is looking for a suit or tuxedo.

To understand my position, I must share the contrast of my experiences. I ordered a pair of Alden oxfords from a competitor in Fort Worth. Knowing I needed either a 7 or 7.5 size, I requested both. I was quickly rebuffed by the sales rep. informing me that the store cant suffer such cash outflow; he would only order 1 size. Then, upon retrieval, the sales rep. informed me of an Alden notice in the shoe box stating that a return is not honored if the shoes have any creases in the vamp. Further, the store would not honor the return if Alden didnt. I was left with the choice of ending the whole attempt or trying on the shoes ever so gently. Luckily, the shoes fit fine, but I was terribly displeased with their level of service. I received better service from a teenager working at a mall shoe store!Completely different experience on my 1st pair of Aldens from Cuwell & Son. Without any resistance, two different sizes were ordered for me, and I was assured that I would only purchase the pair that fit perfectly. During the retrieval, I was encouraged to try on the shoes and walk around the store both on the carpet and tile. In fact, I didnt even know that Alden included a non-returnable notice in the shoe box until I purchased from the competitor. I have now purchased 2 pairs from Cuwell & Son!Cuwell & Sons shoe department is 1st class. I will continue to drive an hour to purchase top quality shoes knowing I will receive top quality service. I was coming here to shop with my boyfriend for an event. They had a Walmart acting parking attendent that yells at people. He did not politely ask if we were coming inside the store. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable in a high end area. I’ve been shopping here for years and as the owner I would be highly embarrassed to have such an employee. We will never shop here again and you shouldn’t either.

Open since 1964, Cullwell and Son has weathered every economic turn for decades and remained family owned and operated, with a single location and staff that has largely stayed put since.I walked in yesterday looking for a custom wedding suit and was immediately greeted with a pleasant sense of humor and eager confidence. Full disclosure: The good nature came before they knew my intentions. The gentlemen here made me feel comfortable and did not for a second seem like pushy salesmen, even an hour before they closed on a Saturday. Deft hands moved through swatches with speed and grace, knowing full well where their targets resided. Opinions were only offered when asked but were stated with surety, backed up by years and years of experience doing one thing. Curious, I asked the gentlemen how long theyd been doing this? Their answer, Mens clothing? 52 years.Unbelievable.When it comes to clothing, nothing really beats a family owned store full of employees who love what they do and have been doing it for decades; and who makes their garments in the United States, and often by hand.And for people wondering: I went to a number of different MTM stores. Cullwell and Son was actually the least expensive option and the only one to offer handmade quality and the only one to make their clothes in the USA or Canada.

Quality suits at a fair price, excellent customer service, and in the rare instance an error is made they swiftly and appropriately make up for it. Not too many establishments like this left.

A short account:I occassioned a visit to Culwell & Son in order to purchase thin wool socks for my sister in-laws wedding vow reaffirmation.While this is a beautiful space, the pushy, misleading employees certainly do not reflect this.I was told my socks would cost $20 USD. However upon checking out I was told the socks cost over $30 USD.After expressing my concern and letting the highly aggressive salesman know that I would not be able to pay for socks what I pay for two pounds of calf, he put me in a headlock and forced me to insert my Visa into the chip reader.Much to our mutual dismay the chip reader did not work and I was forced to swipe the card.I left the store confused, traumatized, and dizzy from poor circulation in my neck. Also my socks have holes in them after wearing them only twice.

For tux rentals, really fast and not very expensive.

Excellent store for Mens finer clothing

Where do I start? I suppose at the beginning. I decided 3 weeks ago that I couldnt live without Shell Cordovan shoes anymore. I refuse to replace $100 shoes every 6 months again.So, my wife, son, and I packed up and headed to DFW for the sole (haha, punny...) purpose of visiting Culwell & Son. We got there an hour before closing, and met Mark in the shoe department. I told him my thoughts, he shared his, measured my foot, had me try on several pair, and just thoroughly blew my freaking mind. Having been in retail/sales for 6 years, I know how to treat a customer, and holy baby Jesus was this awesome.I ordered $1200 worth of shoes, not just because it was better than any online price anywhere, but because the service was just that good. I left on cloud 9, and headed back home to wait for them to arrive (with my 2 free pairs of shoe trees, shoe horn, and #8 polish :D)I called Mark a few days later worried about sizing, having done some research on the particular last my shoes used, and he assured me that his measuring was spot on. I trusted him, and in another couple of days, WAY ahead of schedule, he called me to let me know that my shoes were IN STOCK at Aldens factory, and were on a truck to Dallas as we spoke. OMGWTFBBQ was I excited!3 days later he called, had inspected them, and had them overnighted to Abilene. Fast forward to today. Here they are, on my feet, absolutely perfect in every way, and fitting like a dream. Ive never been so thoroughly pleased with a purchase from start to finish as I have with my 2 new pairs of Alden Shell Cordovans.

Got a nice pair of shoes and a belt

Purchased two suits from them in 2014 and one suit had to be repaired by another tailor 3 months after purchase due to jacket stitching coming undone. Called early 2016 to arrange fitting for new shirts and tailoring of other pieces and sales person (Lance) was dismissive over the phone and said tailor was too busy to take any additional work. Customer service obviously not a strong suit of theirs. Called another custom clothier and was welcomed with open arms.
