What a fantastic little spot this is. I dont think Ive had calamari since going gluten-free, so you can imagine how impressed I was to see it as a gluten-free option here. The roasted peppers and maple syrup really make it even more special. The gulf coast shrimp in my shrimp and grits are the biggest shrimp Ive ever seen in grits. The poblano goat cheese cream sauce definitely takes it up a notch. For dessert, it was hard to pass up a giant slice of Americana aka apple pie á la mode. It was dense, rich, and had a perfectly flaky crust- a rarity among gluten-free desserts. The service, flavor, and presentations here are all top-notch. My sole complaint has nothing to do with the restaurant directly, but the parking spaces are extremely small and even smaller when patrons of the shopping center start parking over the lines, too. Be courteous to others, and enjoy eating at Origin!

Great service this evening on the patio! Enjoyed the (gluten free) fried calamari appetizer and Defined Dish enchiladas. Have to add these might be my new favorite sweet potato fries that my friend had as a side to her burger.

I like the clean and healthy menu, but service is SLOW. Also didnt know they were pet-friendly until a huge dog (literally the height of the table) walked by. Had I known animals were allowed, I wouldnt have dined there. Not sure on if Ill return, food was decent though.

Great place to grab a healthy brunch! They have a multitude of options that are gluten free and healthy, although you can add on and be bad if you want. Food came out quickly and staff was welcoming.I had the tacos and they were different because of the cassava tortilla but great. We also tried the chicken and waffles deconstructed. The chicken was thin and tender with solid flavor.It is a small spot and they do have a small patio. Id recommend reservations for anything more than 2 people.

They were very accommodating for the large party we had (16 in total). The dining area is small so we had to wait a little long for others to leave and pull tables together. The drinks were great and the food was prepared very well.

Menu has lots of healthy/clean variety - this is the Define Dish Enchiladas with the cilantro poblano cauliflower rice (underwhelming... but isn’t all cauliflower rice...) - enchiladas were good but overall, fairly average. The calamari was very good. Perfectly crispy and the glaze on the almonds and bell peppers was amazing. Ambiance is good, if you are seated inside it’s fairly noisy, but the patio out front is nice and quieter.

We went here for a friends birthday and the service and the food was absolutely amazing! Chris the manager, is phenomenal. He made us feel welcomed and very attentive. Sarah is also amazing! A great vibe and the food was so goodddd! 😇

I have eaten here for several years now after a suggestion from a friend. This place is a true hidden gem, everything is fresh and the flavors are somehow comforting as well as original at the same time. The staff is great time after time. And the real kicker is that the entire menu either is or can be made gluten free.

Hands down, this is my all-time favorite restaurant in Dallas. Ive been coming here for years, and I swear the menu just keeps getting better and better! I have to eat gluten free for a health condition, and this menu is PERFECT for gluten-free eaters - or regular eaters! My favorite dish on the menu is the half and half (my terminology) bowl ... half of the sweet potato hash mixed with half of the brussels sprouts bowl. I add ground bison top (a MUST) and ask them to also add caramelized onions. Another favorite is the bison burger + sweet potato fries (fried in avocado oil, a win for me), and the paleo pancakes are delicious. This weekend, I switched up my coffee order (a latte girl over her) and tried the almond milk cappuccino, and I actually think I prefer it more! I will never stop singing Origins praises, and I feel bad for people who dont live here to experience it! I always take all my friends or out-of-town visitors here, and theyve all loved it just as much as I do!

We made a reservation and when we arrived at the restaurant I notice that none of the staff, kitchen included, were wearing masks. When I asked the waitress if all were vaccinated, she said that she did not know. I am sorry if came across harsh as I was shocked to see that the management could be so irresponsible. I am vaccinated and when I think that hospitals are full and that people die because they can’t be treated, we all feel that the service industry has an obligation to protect its customers and lower the spread regardless of politics and laws going against science. Most restaurants in our neighborhood Uptown got it right. Why not Origine? I do want to try the restaurant at some point. It is just unfortunate that this common sense issue makes its social regard questionable

Perfect place for people with dietary restrictions or preferences. My family consists of gluten free, low carb and non-dairy eaters and this place had something for everyone! You MUST start with the calamari, probably the best we have ever had. The mix of flavors was absolutely incredible. We all enjoyed our entrees as the were the perfect balance of flavor and portion sizes. We also ordered two cocktails, Bluebonnet and Enter the Dragon, both were delicious and mixed very well.The restaurant itself was clean and had nice booths, tables and bar seating. They have an attentive and friendly staff. I would suggest getting a reservation on the busy nights because it is a smaller restaurant.Overall, great experience and cant wait to go back!

First time trying this restaurant in Knox Henderson area. The humus starter with chips and veggies was terrific. For our entre we had the hanger steak and short rib. Both were cooked just right. Serveral beers in draft to choose from make it a perfect way to enjoy your dinner.

Weve been going to Origin Kitchen for years and it is consistently awesome - food and service. I love that the menu has so many healthy options. It is a shining example of a well run restaurant.

LOVE this place!! My husband and I brought our 4yo last weekend and the staff was so kind and considerate and the food was amazing!! My husband had the hanger steak, I had the burger with avocado oil sweet potato fries (LOVE that they offer the option instead of canola oil) and our son had the short ribs. We got the cookies and ice cream and chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was so so good. My husband said my fries were the best sweet potato fries he’s ever had and our son didn’t stop eating them. It was so nice to see smiling faces and to be treated normally instead of everyone scared to even look at each other. Love the atmosphere here as well. Very much like how a restaurant should be run! Can’t wait to go back!!

I think its a good selection for gluten free and vegan. The meat and chicken were good. I didnt love the sides. The grilled/sauteed mixed veggies were so pepper they were hard to eat. The smashed sweet potatoes were spicy as well.

This is my favorite restaurant in town. I recommend it to all of my friends. One of the few great restaurants in Dallas that you can choose to go to that day and make a reservation or snag a seat at the bar. The food is always amazing, the employees say they genuinely love working there, and the owner makes it a point to speak to everyone! I go here all the time and I haven’t had a bad meal yet.

I’m visiting from out of state & this Quaint breakfast spot had lots of healthy options for my low carb living. I had the steak & eggs & chicken wings with 2 shots of patron & some topo-Chico. Mimosas were spot on & paleo waffle was also tasty!

We (my wife and I) have been coming here for years and just now writing a review. The whole menu is great. One of the best burgers in Dallas, but don’t be afraid to try something like the Halibut (it was a special when I got it). The calamari is great too. Drinks are great, atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. They have kept a lot of staff members for years which I think says something. It’s one of our regular places to go.

This is an amazing place. We went and tried it out for restrauant week. Great staff, excellant service. Everything we had was so good. The steak might have been the most tender steak I ever eaten. Manger stopped by multiple times. Easy parking. Will be going back again.

Enjoyed Sunday brunch here with a friend of mine... We both were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food, the menu options (very keto and paleo friendly), the unpretentious service, and the reasonable prices. We will definitely be going back...with more friends next time!

Not worth the wait. Its relatively small but almost lives up to the hype. We were a group of 8 and had a reservation for sunday brunch, but still had to wait an additional 25 minutes for the table. The wake up omelette was great. They also have a decent collection of wine. The Chicken and waffle was ok, as the waffle was pretty dry. Bison chilli was different and fries were generic.Overall experience was OK from the price point, taste and wait time.

This place has such a great atmosphere, FANTASTIC staff, and the food is incredible. They cater to those who want to eat well/ healthy but still want to feel like they are satisfying their inside fat kid. I love how things are cooked with healthy oils, GF, options for dairy free, and responsibly cultivated and raised. I can’t say enough about this place. I love the owners!!!

Got the steak and eggs. The steak was one of the best steaks Ive had in a while. The chicken and waffle were not bad. The chicken lacked flavor, but the Cholula sauce helped a lot. Its pretty noisy inside, but the patio was nice and cozy.Our waiter Andrew was very nice, fast, and offered great and honest advice on the menu offerings.

So glad to find a high quality restaurant that offers gluten free chicken fried steak! It was not chopped steak, mind you, it was actual steak - and they did an amazing job making it GF. They even served the gravy on the side so the breading would not get all soggy. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, too. Will definitely be coming back again to try something else, as they have an extensive menu with lots of interesting options.

My husband took me here for my birthday and we had the most wonderful experience! I had some of the best fish (halibut) I’ve ever had! Our waiter was wonderful and it was so nice to see so many smiling faces, we truly enjoyed ourselves :)

Nice servers. Maybe we had bad luck. This is a bar...several barflies were swatted. Food took a little long..ok with that. However got my burger and it had a 12 inch hair in it. Things happen. Was made another burger. Restaurant only comped half my burger. That put me off. Manager didnt come over either to address it. However...the servers were extremely nice. First time at this establishment. Probably a fluke.

This place was great. If you are in the area or will be in the Dallas area you should make a stop here. Food is absolutely amazing! I had the chilaquilles and they were so good I scraped the plate. Drinks were decent too. There wasnt any wait when I arrived (10:30ish) but was a very small wait when I left (noon).

This is by far one of my favorite breakfast spots now. It’s really healthy. So, if you’re on the pálido diet...I definitely recommend! I had one of their bowls with some over medium eggs and it was amazing. Their caramel macchiatos are so good too! I love this part of town.

Upscale paleo-diet friendly, delicious food!!! Outside of HG Supply I have nowhere to go for paleo fare, forcing me to pick through menus. Last night I got the fried chicken I wanted with none of the gluten!!! Oh and it was delicious! Our waitress from Louisiana (I forgot her name) was wonderful and a breath of fresh air. The entire staff was friendly and continuously checked on us. Coming back soon!

Excellent place, options are delicious, can have healthy options as salads, appetizers and very good rations for meals. Some hours pretty crowded but the waiting time is not so long.

My bf and I came here for brunch on Sunday morning. We are very healthy eaters and we love the idea of using clean ingredients. So this place sounded perfect for us. When we arrived there was already a wait. The hostess told us there was seats available at the bar. We decided to sit there. When we sat down the bartender did not greet us until we waved her down. She was not very friendly and seem to have a little bit of an attitude. After we waved her down, we ordered 2 ice coffees which were super water downed and flavorless. We also had to wave her down to place our meals. My bf ordered the chicken and waffles, with upcharge for using avocado oil for an extra $2. The chicken was dried and the waffle was dense. I ordered the breakfast flatbread. The flatbread was ok. I wish there had been some kind of cheese sauce or some kind of sauce to hold all the breakfast toppings on top and the balsamic vinegar reduction added nothing to the flatbread. Besides that restaurant is very cute, clean and they do serve alchohol. Parking is easy. I hope they get some feed back and maybe execute the menu a little better in the future.

I have so many allergies intolerances and this place is probably the only place that can fit all my needs. I never was able to order a full meal exactly how I wanted it and with such specifics and they did it on point it’s veryyyyyy good clean healthy. The only thing is it’s a bit expensive or I would be eating there almost everyday. They have dairy free ranch also so good

I stopped in for a quick breakfast and was treated to some of the best french fries (for real! My omelet came with fries which i assumed to be breakfast potatoes) and homemade catsup ever. Oh, the omelet was good too!

For convenience, book a reservation in advance. Walk-ins are fine as long a table is available or the bar. Had a Burger Salad. It was delicious. Didnt like the dijon dressing that came with it, so I went with the aioli dressing. Sweet, beautiful environment.

Take-out. Food was amazing. Enchiladas exceeded my expectations. Sweet potato hash was just what I needed after my long run at Katy trail.

Great service. Make reservations. On this visit I ordered The King. Good portion served with three strips of bacon. I had them hold the bananas. This brunch was delightful and filling. The raspberry chantilly cream added just the right amount of sweetness and fluff.

Origin is one of the best restaurants in Dallas, especially if you are Paleo or Dairy Free. From their cashew queso to paleo tacos to Brussels sprouts which are honestly to die for, it is always SO good. Everything is incredible fresh, and I love being surprised by new ingredients that I’d never heard of before. Members of the staff actually remember my name and treat me so well every time I visit.

This place far exceeded our expectations. Got drinks during brunch, the michelada was huge with a unique craft brewery beer. My girlfriend is lactose and gluten free, but had plenty of menu options to choose from (this never happens). The meals were plenty of food, very delicious, and a good price. The service was fast and they were very friendly. Highly recommend, looking forward to going back.

Oh my oh my! What a wonderful experience! We got the bottle of champagne with four different juices. Very delicious! For starters we had the cashew queso with malanga chips. So good! Those chips were incredible! Held their shape and were perfect for dipping. I dont understand why they put a whole roasted jalapeño in the queso. I think it would have been better to cut it up and put it on top. It would be easier to mix into the dip. Nevertheless, quite a delightful addition. For entrées, my boyfriend got the hash and I got the chicken avocado salad. I substituted cauliflower for the chicken since I dont eat meat. Then I added goat cheese. They were very accommodating to my requests. Service was awesome ! Very enjoyable experience. We will come back again

Came here for lunch on a weekday and it was busy! We didn’t have a reservation but luckily there were seats at the bar available. Despite it being a busy time we were waited on and served in a timely manner and the food was delicious. My wife is gluten sensitive and she got the gluten free Chicken and Waffles. She was in love! Can’t wait to go back.

Let me start by saying I’m on day 11 of whole30 so my food options are limited when eating out. To find a place with so many whole30 options was refreshing. With that said, the chili was amazing. Probably the best I have had.

Highly recommend this place! Ate here on Saturday before a concert with my mom. We thoroughly enjoy both dishes that we ordered! The short rib is enough to share between two people! The goat cheese grits are to die for! We also had the cholula wings. Everything was great and the service was even better! All of the wait staff are super chill, friendly and helpful. I liked that everyone checks on you, not just your server. our server was super funny and kind. Will def be going back!
