I was staying in the hotel down the street and the pool was closed so my two boys and I were walking around to pass the time and came upon this gift of a shop! My boys are 4 and 8 and Melinda was INCREDIBLY kind to them! She talked with them and answered LOTS of questions and helped them smell every single candle in the shop- multiple times! Her presence and customer service were delightful which is really what made our afternoon but man their products are amazing too! You could spend hours in this shop and find something for anyone for any occasion! The boys picked out a fun Father’s Day card and birthday card for my MIL, we bought a delicious chocolate bar to share and my 4 year old picked out some fun hair ties for me. I could have bought any number of things and will likely be shopping on their website in the future and will definitely be returning when we visit Dallas again! I could go on and on. This truly was the most precious experience I have ever had in a little shop. Thank you for your kindness Melinda!

I cannot even begin to describe how pleasantly surprised I was by this shop. I needed to find a last minute Birthday gift and when I typed in Gift Shops near me in Google, this location was the first to pop up and after my visit I totally understand why. I was immediately greeted by Melinda. Not only did she help me find a gift but I found something got myself. My guy absolutely loved the gifts she and I worked together to find for him. He felt extremely cared for and Melinda had a huge hand in helping me capture all the feels for his birthday. I’m a store manager of a retail store and I understand how important customer service and experience is to driving a business. This shop absolutely understands that as well. I felt like a celebrity who paid thousands of dollars to shop alone, that’s how catered to I felt. I will go there for all my gifts going forward no doubt. Melinda set the bar high. I cannot get over happy my guy was with the gifts we picked out. Super grateful to Melinda and the entire staff that helped me pull this off. Businesses could learn so much from them

I LOVE RBTL!Last year I held an event (Barks & Bubbly) for Texas Sled Dog Rescue, and they donated the cutest items including some gorgeous prints. I love that this is a company that gives back to the community and great causes.As for products, I have yet to purchase something I didn’t love. Whether I am in need of something for myself or as a gift, I always find the perfect item here. Even the thank you cards are beautiful.I’ve purchased everything here from candles to incense to cards and love it all.Such a fun shop with a great team of happy and helpful staff!

Went here looking for a nice birthday card for my wife not from the grocery store. Smelled amazing soon as I walked in. Staff was very friendly. Didn’t find a card for me but found lots of cool stuff, bought one item. Kinda need to just let your eyes wander from floor to ceiling to see it all. Went back next day with my wife since she liked her gift so much, and Melinda on staff was even nicer. Long story long, my wife and I were given A++ service each day and they have wonderful cool stuff. Go support

This is a great place for gifts, cards and fun items that you just dont find everywhere. The buyers great taste is revealed in every item in this small boutique located near American Airlines. And, even down to the smallest thing...the care taken with the wrapping of each purchase with the name of the person who wrapped your item, shows such class and attention to detail. Great gifts and now they have their own line of fabulous candles.

Support local makers at this cute and well-stocked store full of greeting cards and small gifts perfect for many occasions. The staff is friendly and helpful and we enjoyed free happy hour drinks while browsing.

Good stationary store, friendly and helpful.

Although I havent visited the store in person (YET) due to quarantine, I recently ordered a few Boy Smells candles to make my home feel more cozy. Not only did my candles ship quickly and arrive in perfect shape, they were packaged with such care. I felt SO special! I definitely plan on ordering more fun stuff from Read Between the Lines until I can make a visit in person. Thank yall so much for making my day!

Best customer service in a store ever! Seriously. Cute store filled with stationary products/cards... no books. Lots of different products. Will definitely come back soon. Only bought a shirt the first time my daughter and I stopped in, but they will get me to go back for some birthday shopping and Christmas shopping.

Great spot for gifts!

Lovely store and even lovelier people running it. I needed to get a birthday card for my wifes birthday but the store was closing soon. I called the owner and he graciously stayed a few minutes late so I could get what I needed. Very high quality products and great selection. They are always changing the inventory so its a fun place to come to often. A+++

Suuuuuuch a cute little shop!!! A friend of mine works here so I was stopping by for a quick visit. Theyve got a great collection of cards, candles, and cute little gifts. The owner is so sweet and so is every other employee I was introduced to. I look forward to going back to stock up!

One of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had!Our company is located in California and we sent a couple of our employees over to Dallas for a seminar. I searched for a nearby gift shop looking for neat ideas to hopefully have delivered to their hotel to be waiting for them upon their arrival (though it wasnt until the morning of their trip). I found Read Between the Lines website and loved it! Jenna was MOST helpful, she assisted in arranging all the little gifts I had picked out, created some beautiful gift bags for our employees, sent me over pictures of them when she had them all put together, and had them delivered right to their hotel for them - all before they even got there to check in!Honestly I wasnt sure I could find somewhere that would be able to make this happen, and definitely not as easy peasy fast as Jenna made it happen! If Im ever in the area I will definitely stop by to say hi!Thank you for making a last-minute gift delivery from over 2,000 miles away so incredibly easy to accomplish! Thank you for going above and beyond. You are appreciated. :-)

One of our absolute favorite places to go! A fun shop with cards, prints amd gifts galore! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Cant say enough good things. My seven year old likes to go and stock up on gel pens.

I was so excited to visit this store as Ive been following the store on IG for awhile. I was disappointed to visit and receive such a lack of friendly service, especially after reading reviews about how friendly the staff is from other visitors. We entered the store at 7:50 and immediately one of the workers looked down at her watch. It was so obvious that I asked her what time they closed. She and the other employee told me 8. I told them I would look and leave by 8. Not once while I was in there did anyone acknowledge us outside of making us feel like we were annoying them for coming in 10 minutes before closing. Even as we headed out of the store (before 8) we were completely ignored, not as much as a thank you for stopping in or have a nice evening. Very disappointing experience.
