Disneyworld in a hardware store. Lots of really neat stuff plus things you need. Courteous staff. Love going there.

I received a recommendation to go to this store and it was completely accurate. The general manager and a woman in the paint department (I am sorry that I didnt get your names) helped me tremendously. I have not seen customer service on this level in a very long time. Thank you for being so generous with your time and for being genuinely good human beings. While I was there, I did see many other employees helping other customers and the feeling was the same - wonderful, joyful help. As far as products, they had really cool things and then every day practical things for your home and outside your home. I did some price comparisons and this store beat online and big box stores on the items I priced. I am delighted to have found this store and my personal recommendation is if you a choice of where to give your money in exchange for goods, this store is completely worthy and deserving. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be back.

I love this locally owned hardware store. This is so much more than a hardware store though! They have chickens, a whole supply of gifts, and a wide variety of locally made food products. I always buy my Noble Coyote coffee beans at this location. This is also a fantastic place to stop if you have littles because they usually have baby chicks, and child tolerating chickens in the store. The customer service is high quality and feels like you are in a small town store. Their prices are reasonable, and products are always good quality.

Rooster is one of those old-school home and hardware shops that still actually cares about the projects its customers are trying to achieve. All of the staff is incredibly friendly, the prices are fair, and the selection is huge. If you dont know what youre looking for or exactly what you need, not only will the staff help you in whatever way they can, they typically are very well versed in a multitude of projects, and can speak out of kindness, and experience. No, you wont get the giant store prices, but when the staff save you from having to come back dozens of times for stuff you neglected to buy on your first pass through, itll end up saving you money and headache in the long run.Plus the store itself is always super clean, and had a lot of fun, quirky stuff in it that can keep the kids entertained while you shop. As well, if it has to do with bees, or chicken raising, they probably have it as well. Be sure to stop by and say hello to their actual, living rooster who resides in the middle of the store.

I have purchased all my chicken feed here for years, the staff has always been friendly, & I love the store. I love that it’s pet friendly, everyone loves my dog, Mabel, & Mabel loves the dog treats at the checkout.Today was the last day I will enter that store. All throughout the pandemic, I have worn a mask to protect the businesses from unfairly receiving a fine from a customer’s non-compliance of a mandate not based in science. Today on the first day that I can live freely without imposing harm on the business I am patronizing, the cashier informed me I could not shop without a mask. Even when I explained to him how for a year I have complied out of concern for their well being, they no longer want my business. And he said “unfortunately not if you don’t wear a mask.”I was going to buy a substantial amount of chicken feed today, and instead I went to Elliott’s Hardware to make my purchase where I was not asked to mask myself with no mandate. I will not be doing any business with any business that tries to impose a mask on me with no government mandate. I am keeping a list of businesses to boycott, and unfortunately one of my favorite stores, Rooster, is first on that boycott list.

Rooster is great when you want to get personalized help and not walk 5 miles looking for what you need :) Aside from being a great hardware store, they have homemade pralines! Cant go wrong.

Such a charming store! Staff is so friendly and even took time too let my young son see the baby chicks and tell him about different breeds. A neat place to find hardware items that the big box stores dont carry and tons of unique gift ideas.

I took my little girl to get some of the chicks they have for sale. When we were there they only had two species but had a schedule of the incoming chicks. Well will definitely be back for more chickens as well as our supplies to keep them going

Crazy mask policy.Wish I would have read the other reviews before wasting a trip today.I have shopped here for over a decade when possible trying to support local businesses over the big box stores.Unfortunately I was standing in line today ready to check out and they informed me I could not without a mask.There is no law or state mandate any more so this is entirely up to the store and they have made the decision to no longer want my business.

I called them asking what chicks were available was told these just went on sale today and the guy listed off what they had. I said ok I will drive up making it very clear that I lived a hour away. Get here and the birds are marked for sale as of 4-2 and they would not sell any to me and expected me to come back the following day. I will never make the drive to this store again after this. The man was also very condescending and rude and did not care what so ever that I just drove a hour to this store. Didn’t apologize nor try to make the issue right at all.

This place has been the BEST discovery...it might look small on the outside but this place has EVERYTHING for home and hardware! I was able to get kitchen tools, gardening supplies, new Adirondack chairs and dinners for my kitchen! The staff is so personable and helpful in every way...we love going in to see the chickens and chicks that they have for sale there...chatting with Garlic Mike about how they are raised and tended and then next time talked flowers and gardens with him! I love this place and can’t recommend it enough!

I will never shop here again! This store won’t let us shop without a mask!🇺🇸 This is the land of the free not the land of tyranny!

Outstanding place to find those last minute items. Weather planning last minute for colder weather, or needing items for Christmas stocking 🧦. And its a great place to find everything I need for all my pets from chickens to our dog. And the staff is helpful and pleasant to work with everytime. Thanks😀

Great selection of organic gardening products. They carry two organic potting soils that are excellent- Esposma Moisture Control and Ferti-lome Organic potting mix. Organic fertizer selection is good too.

I love this place but even though they have a sign up that says Masks required by law, they arent enforcing this. I would say only half the people in the store were wearing masks when I entered yesterday. I would recommend they make the sign more prominent so it cant be overlooked and train their employees to politely ask people to follow the law.

Since the redesign and rebrand this place much better. Customer service is great. The new store layout is great and easier to navigate. The variety of items one can find there is great. Its one of my go to places for uniques gifts. They have more than just hardware.

Bought a chicken coop and wasn’t sure if it would fit into my suv. The staff here measured the boxes and then let me borrow a measuring tape to measure the back of my vehicle. Then they loaded it for me, customer service here is amazing!

Amazing service and the best quality of products for fair prices with a huge selection. Everyone is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all home projects, leading you through what you’ll need. I will never go to another hardware store again!

This hardware store in Dallas is a gem. They have so many items(many local), like live chickens, toys, honey, lotions, wind-chimes and yard art. And the staff is very helpful, polite and professional. Go, and take your parents, they will love it.

Thanks so much to Peter for taking care of us with Roosters great True Value Paint and holding two gallons of the tint base we needed, before we headed over from Arlington! This was our first experience at Rooster and Andy (in the paint department) took excellent care of us! Only one thing missing: can Rooster open a True Value store in the Arlington/Mid-cities area? We and a lot of other people would love that!

I stopped by rooster today for the first time, and got some great help from Peter. He helped me find an unusual bolt for my car and a solution to help with some stripped parts that were no longer fitting together very well. It was so refreshing to be greeted, and then also helped immediately, compared to my experiences at Home Depot which usually include getting completely ignored and then waiting in line for a while. They even sell really high quality dog food!

This place is incredible! Must see to believe!!!!

I Called the store to get some chicks at 4:30pm on Saturday April 18 2020 and as I come to the store they say don’t have any chicks for sale today. I talked to the manager and he said it could be a mistake and won’t be selling until the next day even though they had like almost 60 chicks there.

Good selection of pet and animal supplies. They even have a beautiful rooster and hen and a cool selection of coups and chicken raising equipment. I think this is a great local esablishment.
