The doctors are good, however, the front office personnel is horrible. I’ve called everyday for 4 days to follow up on a prescription refill. It’s been over a week and nothing has been done about it. I am seriously thinking of going to a different ophthalmologist.
The doctors are all very nice and know what they are doing. The worst part of this doctors office is the hispanic woman that sells the glasses. She is very very RUDE!! She needs to mind her own business and let the receptionist (Tess) do her job. My 82 yr. old mother needs some assistance and the hispanic woman told my sister to get out of the waiting room cause she was not the patient. This woman has been RUDE for as long as I can remember;more than 15 yrs. Good thing we dont have to go there too often.
The reception on phone was terrible. A girl just asked me to hold and then let me wait on the phone for ages.
I have been a patient for 2-3 years. Drs. Longar and Martindale have been attentive and thoughtful regarding my eye medical needs -- mostly basic eye exams and some monitoring of an existing risk factor.
It’s a shame to give such a rating. It’s mostly about the office not the Dr.I have been coming to this Dr for a number of years and every single year, without exception, they are “running behind” 30-60 minutes. It’s mis managed, they are lacking technicians and staff to keep this place afloat.I find the Dr to be exceptional.
Office was so rude. Canceled my appointment just two hours before, and claimed they left a message. Didnt try texting or calling back. Have attitude at front desk.
Love her she gave me my vision back!!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Longar for 8+ years.Dr. Longar lives up to her “Your call will be returned promptly” and “I love for the long term relationships I’ve formed with my patients and their families” motto on her web site. I needed to make an afterhours urgent medical needs call on June 28, 2014 (Saturaday). It was on behalf of my son who is not yet Dr. Longars patient but she gave advices regardless. My son had a scratch on his cornea of his left eye while on a family vacation trip to Lake Tahoe on June 28, 2014 (Saturaday). He didnt feel pain but his vision was blurry. We were desperate but I had thought of Dr. Longar. So, I called her and she returned my call promptly. She advised us to buy Lacri-Lube ointment over the counter. She even graciously offered to write a subscription if necessary over the weekend. My son was able to find Refresh Lacri-Lube ointment from a CVS pharmacy on the way. CVS only carries the night time ointment. He applied to his left eye on June 28 (Sat) night and the next morning, his blurry vision was gone.I cant praise enough for a doctor with such high ethical and professional principle.
