I was at the Daly City Target Optical. Jessica was an amazing employee who helped me figure out exactly what I needed from their various lense options. The customer service here was great and it didn’t feel like they were upselling anything, which I loved. Employees like Jessica are the reason why my whole family is switching to Target Optical! The process of ordering new glasses was easy, seamless, and didn’t take long at all. I will definitely be returning!
I have had an eye exam and order glasses/lenses in Target Serramonte for 3 times/ from 5 years ago. 2 times, around 2016 and 2019, I was so happy with the Target Optical in Serramonte. This year, I am changing my opinion. I have an appointment on June 2021 with the substitute doctor. The doctor was not Dr. Toan Thach. The substitute doctor was female doctor, she was so fast to exam. She had no patient, no courtesy, and rude. She looked unfriendly and in a hurry. The customer service was not really good. She said that she will send me an email for my eye picture. After three times I asked, they sent me the picture. They didnt call me when the glasses ready for pick up. I need to called them after more than 3 weeks.
Cameron and Kiara have these wonderful customer services in Target Optical in Serramonte. Jesica and Evelyn & Josue are very nice, as well. The 3 prescription eyeglasses that I’ve had ordered are highly recommended for quality and the discounts for those 3 glasses are surprisingly and reasonably perfect for my budget.

Subpar experience. Eye exam was not as detailed compared to other optometry places I’ve been to, but still decent. Extremely friendly and bubbly staff at first, but once it comes down to the money side of things they will do whatever they can to include add-ons and packages to make up for the money lost through insurance. Hats off to how committed they are to selling for profit rather than for the patients’ needs. It’s no surprise since this is “commercial” optometry (ie.Target, Walmart, Costco, etc.), so take that as you will. The staff are also extremely eager and pushy when it comes to gathering new patients, so beware if you are just browsing and not looking for a new optical place.
My partner and I had the best experience at Target Optical in Serramonte, Daly City. Dr. Toan Thach was so kind, explained all of our vision exam options, and was swift but thorough. In the store, Cameron and Kiara were such fun. They really helped us pick out/suggest frames and lens choices based on our preferences and made the whole process seamless. They also communicated with us so helpfully on the phone— helping us set up last minute appointments, giving gentle reminders about the appointments, and being clear about pick-up and delivery. I’ve been wearing glasses my whole life and have to say I had the best experience here. Thanks team.
Very professional great service and fantastic people
Called to see if they take VSP (Vision Service Plan) insurance. They said, Yes. Arrived, and they said they only qualify for out of network benefits. Doesnt anyone qualify for out of network? Felt like bait & switch. Itll be hard to ever get me to buy from Target Optical in the future.
I called to see what they can do about my glasses being to strong & causes me to get headaches, didnt care cause it wasn’t their eyes being messed up !
Daisy assisted me with both my initial visit and when I went back to pick-up my glasses. Great customer service! Daisy is extremely friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back to this Target Optical in the future!
TLDR:Don’t come here. Sales and promotions are lies and lures that are not honored. The two employees, Myla & Kiara, are manipulative and hostile. Further, Kiara is actually the “Team Leader.”Story:I’ve never had such a horrible customer service experience before. I did some research before coming and due to a promotion, found this place to be the cheapest. However, I can confidently state I will absolutely not be coming back. Ever.I was trying to buy an affordable gift for my fiancée only to be humiliated and and verbally attacked by Myla and Kiara, two employees here. They attempted to pass off extras like polychromatic, anti-glare, and non-scratch lenses as part of the prescription. When I said, completely humiliated, that I wanted the cheapest option for my fiancée (who was with me & had to be to get the eye exam), I was yelled at, called names, and told to stop talking or leave. My fiancée told them that this was a gift, from me to her, and I could, and should, be a part of the conversation. It didn’t matter, they continued up-selling their extras as necessities and the next time I spoke and said we didn’t want any of that, they said that it was a private conversation between them and my fiancée and they called security to escort me out. I was refused a refund for this, apparently bogus “prescription,” and told not to come back.I’ve filed fraud claims with the FTC and State Attorney General and will be seeking legal action shortly. Never in my life have I been robbed so blatantly by a large company like Target.

The worst customers service Ive ever received. Spoke on the phone, drove all the way back from the city and no one knows who answered the phone. Such an unprofessional staff. Wouldnt recommend anyone. Charged for refitting contact lenses even thought that I paid for an exam.
Simply had an existing prescription, walked in, ordered contacts, and as of today its taking longer than the 7-10 days excluding weekends to get it shipped. Had I know this, wouldve ordered elsewhere. SO SLOW. Is this the norm for ordering contacts out there in the world in Year 2019? Lmk. If so, gladly will update this rating. But two weeks for contacts to get shipped. Cmon.
What’s with all the low reviews? I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I’ve NEVER had a problem!! Myla and Dr. Thach are the BEST!! Dr. T diagnosed me with dry eye disease and SAVED my eyes!! He prescribed me Xiidra eye drops and now NO more dry eyes!! It’s the ONLY place I go to for exams and contact lenses, plus there’s plenty of FREE parking!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The staff was very professional and friendly. Easy and convenient location with free parking. There frames were priced reasonably. When I got my glasses the first time and tried them out they were giving me headaches. I brought them back they tested them and realized that they forgot to do the anti-glare coat which Im used to wearing. They had him redone and fitted for me and they work perfectly now. I would come here again if my new insurance company is accepted.
I been at least a month since we order my daugther glasses and we have not get them yet every time that i call they will say that they are on the way and still no glasses yet My girl uses preacription glasses and needs them So far the worst experience here i do not think i would ever used them again
I have been here a few times this year so far, and have interacted with every employee that they have. They all are exceptional, and I had very positive experiences. I have read some old Yelp reviews, about the staff being pushy to make sales. I didnt see that to be the case at all. In fact, my last two visits were free of charge, since they were appointments made just to match me up with the right contact lenses. I just left today with 4 days worth of contact lenses, a bottle of soution/contact case, and hydrating eye drops that they gave me to practice with. These visits included exams, troubleshooting, and training with contact lenses. They went above and beyond what I expected, to help me out to the end.
Staff tacked on a bunch of extra charges for my glasses I didn’t want. In the end they sent me two sets of contacts for one eye and one set for the other. Myla did everything in her power to make it right.
Josue was very helpful on a simple eyeglass repair. Will definitely use them to get a new pair and you should too!
