Staff is great. Doctor Randy is great. You can tell by the way he moves. Very efficient and knows his stuff. Lots of experience. People there are very friendly. This office is run very well/ organized. I wish other businesses can replicate what they do here.

Westlake Vision was a great experience for checking my eye prescription for the first time in 4 years!They were able to fit me in within a few days based on a recent cancellation. I was in and out with my new prescription and glasses ordered during my lunch hour though they stayed busy. All of the staff members were super sweet and professional. They took all the proper precautions for cleanliness and customer count during this COVID pandemic in the store upon arrival and anytime a customer used any equipment or tried on glasses or sat in chairs. They had a variety of brands and styles of glasses to try and gave good recommendations based on my facial structure.Dr. Randy Yamada was my eye doctor and was very kind and professional as well. His work was thorough and explained in a way I easily understood. I will definitely be coming back for my glasses here from now on. It helps that i live in the neighborhood too!

Without a doubt Dr. Chen is the best. She takes her time to listen to all your issues. Every time I come in for my yearly visit, its like Im visiting a friend instead on my doctor. I highly recommend Westlake Vision Center.

Friendly, helpful service. Optometrists are excellent. Free glasses adjustment and cleaning anytime (with appointment, until the Covid restrictions are over). Happy to work with me while I tried several different frame designs.

Service was quick and everything was carefully sanitized. I also loved Karen, who was the greatest gem. She was extremely helpful with picking frames and broke down all costs carefully. I would definitely return (but not on Wednesday because thats Karens day off).

I have been going here for years and it’s terrific service each and every time. I had an eye exam to update my prescription. Everything was sanitized prior to usage. An underrated aspect about it was they don’t just tell you a piece of equipment was sanitized, they show you they sanitized the equipment. It helps put your mind at ease. I ordered contacts and will be looking forward to scheduling an appointment to try on and order glasses, as well.

My vision hasn’t been the best and Dr. Yamada has always been reassuring and patient with my eye issues. Recently I felt I had something in my eye and he squeezed me onto his schedule on short notice. He took the time to give my eye a full exam to ensure all was well and was able extract a particle in my eye! Instantly felt better. 10 star service to my absolutely favorite eye doctor.

Dr. Yamada is a great, experienced, careful optometrist - 5 stars for him. The opticians are more hit-and-miss, and Ive been mischarged more than once, and had to fix it - 3 stars. Frame selection at the store is OK but not expansive.

Dr. Chen has been my go to optometrist for the last decade. Her level of professionalism and efficiency has been very consistent throughout all my experience. The overall footprint of the place is compact, however the staff has always done a great job managing traffic while ensuring safety protocols. This is especially important during these days of COVID 19. Highly recommended!

The staff are all liars especially Debbie I tried to make a appointment on Monday and they said they will call me tomorrow I called them on Tuesday the same answer I call you tomorrow its Thursday and nothing the staff is very unprofessional so is Joann yamada is a liar too and very rude to me dont trust them good doctors anyway

I had an appointment with them to pickup my new glasses and before coming that day I got a call from them that Dr Yamada would like to check again the back of my eyes ... it concerned me at first but where can you find a doctor that is very compassionate with his patients ... he was checking on my eye cloth that he saw from my last visit ... amazingly when he check it out it was gone and I am very pleased with this place that they really take care of there clients ...Very Impressed with West Lake Vision

First time visit- COVID protocols were excellent: appointment only, you have to call to be let in when you arrive, they take your temperature, and everything is sanitized multiple times. Dr. Chen was very knowledgeable, patient, and explained everything she was doing. As a diabetic, I appreciated her candid honesty. The staff was lovely and made processing my insurance and picking glasses totally painless. 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve been coming to Westlake Vision Center since about 1995. I recently took my elderly father here to have an exam with Dr. Yamada. Dr. Yamada was incredibly kind, helpful, understanding and took extra time to make a meaningful connection with my Dad who has recently had a difficult time with mobility and also recently and temporarily lost his ability to speak. My Dad has not had his eyes checked in decades... Thankfully, Dr. Yamada and the staff were all so accommodating and helpful! Thank you for taking such great care of my Dad!

Dr. Rossana Chen is the only person I want to examine my eyes. She has been fitting me for my GP contact lenses for years and I trust her. She is very professional and patient especially with my 75 year old mother who also sees her. I hope she doesn’t leave, it’s so hard to find good Dr’s.

Chaotic management & inconvenient schedulingCould be a good vision center to go but the scheduling is very chaotic.I made appointments for me and my husband to try out a certain brand frames that this place carries. When we arrived, we are informed that we cannot coming in & have to wait because there is a large family picking up frames after doctors appointment.This is just not reasonable...And even though the person who picks up calls and scheduling is very nice, the system is very out-dated. I have to spell my name out, several times, and my address, my insurance, my socials... No appointment system online & no texting(even though they say that you can text).It’s just very inconvenient... in so many ways.

I went in recently to get my glasses nose pads replaced. I called and made an appointment. The staff made sure everyone was following socially distancing protocols and when I got into the office, one of the staff members cleaned the seat before I sat on it. They were also very careful to clean any spaces where patients were for a significant amount of time. The effort was greatly appreciated.

I came for my annual eye exam recently and have been going here for a few years. I appreciated the precautions they took by leaving the door locked during COVID, to ensure minimal foot traffic in the store. Their selection of eye glasses has not been that great the last few years and it is always very hot inside. The optometrists are very professional and knowledgeable, however, whenever the front desk asks me to update my information, they make it seem they’re inputting into the system, but each time I come in, I would have to give my info all over again.I also had a frustrating experience when they lost my file last year and only gave me a left eye contact lens trial, because someone misplaced the right eye.

This was the best optometry experience I’ve ever had! It had been at least 5 years since my last visit for eye care. This office was very good about adhering to Covid protocols and ensuring everyone’s safety.Dr. Chen was very friendly and highly informative. She educated me every step of the way and even broke down my 3D eye scan to explain to me what she looks for and why. Karen gave me a white glove experience with picking out frames and brought over different styles that best suit my face and my style. She gave her honest and experienced opinions and I ended up with two frames that I LOVE and with the lenses options that I want and needed.I highly highly recommend this place. I have been going to this clinic for years. The staff and doctors are great. Extra precautions are taken to ensure the patients are safe.

This optometry does not honor appointments made days before. We were, at first, ignored by an assistant who pretended that we weren’t there; she clearly saw us with her dogged face. Then someone else, an older lady in her 50’s, dismissed us altogether as she was more attentive to other patients coming in telling us we had to re-schedule. So having called previously with certainty we would come at the scheduled time meant NOTHING! Very rude, they lost our business for finding new frames and requesting lenses. Their excuse for their rude, unprofessional demeanor: “Oh, it’s this pandemic.” Yeah, real lame. So beware of using this optometry as you will be turned away.

Great staff, really. The Filipina staff (long hair blond highlights) didnt get her name, she’s always polite and friendly. I love Dr. Rosanna, explains steps very well. They have free glaucoma check that doesnt need dilation, can definitely go there without affecting your driving.

Dr. Chen and Dr. Partida are both awesome. Being a clinician myself, I always focus on the experience and the connection I give to my patients and that is the most critical part customer service. I must say they really spent their time listening to my concerns, they explained everything and answered all my questions. The front office always greeted me with a smile but the key person that made my entire experience is Anita. She has so much character and she is so patient and really spends her time helping you pick the best fitting glasses. She definitely goes above and beyond because you can see every customer she helps leave with a smile. I live 60 miles away but these are the reasons why I always come back every year.

I recommend this place for your eye exam. Dr and staff are very efficient in dealing with their patients needs. I called and was able to accomodate the same day. The doctor scanned both my eyes and he explained to me in detail what he have found. From there I was taught preventive measures. Very informative.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at an optometrist. I went through the exam and was on a trial pair of contacts and told that if the new prescription didnt work they would order my old prescription. I called in to order a set and was told they would be ready the following week. I never received a call that they were ready. I called two times to find out the status and took two days to get a call back. No one had submitted the order and I ran out of contacts. When I went in to get my records to order them through another provider, it turned into even more of a hassle. I would not recommend this provider at all from the organization of the office to the optometrist.

I visited Westlake Vision Center last year for the first time and was very happy with my experience. While its a bit difficult for me to keep track of dates for my annual exams, I was very pleased when I received a note reminding me that I was due for my exam.
