Rented my u-haul trailer here. Quick and easy pick up and drop off. Was much better than going to the U-Haul by west street.

After AAA Plus RV left us stranded on the road for 5 hours on a Sunday night with still no answer as to when they could secure a driver, I called McLaughlin Towing to tow our pick up truck (with a brake issue) and enclosed car trailer (with a classic car in it). He answered on the first try, and showed up within an hour. He quoted a price over the phone and it didnt change. Towing is never cheap, but considering the cost of buying, maintaining and operating the required equipment, and being available 24/7 at the drop of a hat, the price wasnt unreasonable at all. Mike was professional, courteous and careful. Hopefully I never need to, but I wouldnt hesitate to call McLaughlins for service.

This is the worst towing company there is EVER... not sure where they get their rights, they just ride around looking for cars to tow to make money. If they do legitimate work they would need to tow cars for no reason.

We have an 05 Dodge Ram that died on us while driving. They towed it to the dealer for us. Wetmores told us to fix was going to be around 12k and didnt include all the parts needed as they thought the computer had to be replaced and it was no longer manufactured. Brought it to Brian and within a week he had it up and running like brand new- for a fraction of what wetmores wanted to charge. Weve used them several times for towing for other vehicles and theyve always been professional and on time and fair with pricing. Got my MILs 94 jeep cherokee up and running and got the AC fixed. Ive always had a pleasant experience with everyone and highly recommend.

Most horrible place I have ever been. We agreed to change oil, oil filter and fuel filters for 100$ and once they did it they made me pay 165$! They said it took 2 hours which is typically takes 45 minutes! 65$ doesn’t change my life but experience is sucks! That was my mistake to don’t pay attention to your feedbacks. Stay healthy guys and stay as far as possible from this fake professionals!

Had my work vehicle die at a job, called around and McLaughlin answered the phone. I needed my vehicle tow from a job I had in Pawling NY to Dealership in Danbury. Took one hour to come to location from time I called. He had me on flat bed in now time and he dropped my vehicle off in Danbury. $300.

This place is good but not great. Brian was nice and very helpful. A lot of people there had attitudes and came off as rude. When I went to pick up my car no one knew where they put my keys so that took like 10-15 for them to find them. It’s pretty unorganized. Bad first experience with them

Car towed from Market Place parking lot when I safely did not drive home last night and the lot was very full. Situation sucks but they did handle my call and questions with courtesy. Was told I had to pay in cash and when I showed up the two men at the front desk were available and kind. $181 for a tow, prices did not seem too extraneous for what happened.

Had a miscommunication with the shop Manager Primo. When I decided to call the facility I spoke to the Owner Mike McLaughlin - It was a very unique situation and he spent plenty of time on the phone with me not only correcting the mistake, but sharing some valuable information on a personal level. 99% of things in life can be handled with Words - It takes more effort to leave a positive review then a negative one. I was very unhappy not 30 minutes ago, but I would recommend these guys especially if your dealing with Mike McLaughlin himself.

I had a bad experience with this place. Yes they were able to take my car in and work with me with the payment but I brought it in on a Thursday and I didn’t get it back totally fixed until the following Tuesday. They had it for 5 full days. The lack of communication was horrible. They didn’t call me once to update me or let me know they were fixings parts I didn’t know needed to be fixed I was the one who had to call them multiple times. They ended up telling me my car was fixed and towed it to my job so I could drive it home. I heard a noise coming from underneath and the exhaust pipe had broke yes from being somewhat old but because my car was not towed on a flat bed and was knocked by the equipment that goes under the tires to tow the car. I brought it back ASAP the next morning. Thank god for my coworkers for helping me out. They did fixed my exhaust the best they could free of chargebecause I was not about to pay for something I didn’t cause. I was able to pick it up myself after work because I did not want it back on that tow truck. I will NEVER go back to this place again!!

My experience with this company was completely horrible. My car was towed on 11/25/17. I was at fault for parking at an apartment complex parking lot because I wasnt aware of the no parking sign. I arrived to the parking lot as they were getting ready to tow my car. Steven was the guy who towed my car and he claimed it was too late for me to move my car. Steven was absolutely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable due to his aggressive way to answer my questions. I asked to pay for the towing right then and there and he claimed he had to take my car to the yard and I would have to pay there. I knew where my car was being towed to because I asked for a card rather than him giving me a card. Once I got to the yard, he started yelling telling me to stop as I wasnt allowed to be in the yard. When I asked him how much it was he said it was $175 plus tax and CASH ONLY. I was not given a receipt for my payment nor was I given change. A company that claims to do business as CASH ONLY is obviously a company not to trust because they can get away from reporting less income to the IRS. This is obviously a scam that they have going on by abusing in charging people unreasonably. If I ever need a tow, I will NEVER do business with McLaughlin and I will ABSOLUTELY not recommend them.

They towed my classic 74 Ford pick up with 12,000 miles original! They used slings on the axles to pre vent the original paint from getting scratched! And they were on time! Excellent service! 👍

My experience here was terrible. The employees here are very rude. My car got towed, So I went to pick up my car. I only had a credit card. They said they dont take credit cards. I asked them if they had a ATM. They said no. I go where is the closes ATM I can go they said,they dont know. I said I dont have cash on me because I dont usually carry 100 on me. One of the employees said Its ridiculous you come here without money. One of the worst and unwelcoming places I been too. This business hopefully wont be running for much longer

I have gotten many repairs done and also a little body work on our truck hear. Never an issue and the price is good. I am extremely happy with the customer service I get as well. Its funny how most of the 1 star reviews on here are from people that got their cars towed so they are mad and have to give a bad review.

Be WARNED if you get your car fixed by this garage you will pay for towing and its not FREE if they fix your car. I had 2 towing plans I could have used to get my car to the shop. I was not told I was being charged for the tow and now it cost me $200 for nothing but 2 weeks waited due to BRIAN miss communication and a destroyed holiday having to paying $200 for nothing but BAD service BE CAREFUL

The tow was fine. Then they ripped me off for 700$ and my car still didnt run correctly. Then they forgot to tow it to another garage . Do not get your vehicle worked on here.

Typical two-bit scamers and thieves. They go on Sunday night, prowling condo parking lots for vehicles with expired registration, knowing that the owner will be home and will not find out until monday morning and they can charge a storage fee for Sunday in addition to the towing fees. Labor fee charge is based on what equipment they decide to use and how long it takes them so of course theyll take their time. Extremely rude on the phone and if you start asking questions they hang-up on you. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy getting ripped-off by your average bottom-feeding trailer park inhabitants. I am surprised this place is not shut down already - one can only assume that the mayor of Danbury is also in for the scheme if he allows this to go on.

Went to an event on the Green in Danbury sponsored by my church and just needed to park in the lot for Union Savings Bank which I have been a customer of for more than 30 years. They had to be waiting because it wasnt 20 mins and they towed my vehicle. Needless to say they also towed 4 others so they knew people would be attending a church event. Funny thing though, they charged everyone who parked there 200.00, but they charged me $164.95, I questioned there so called after hours fee which was explained to me as $25.00 over the phone with Towing Supervisor on call. However, on the receipt they listed it as $50.00. Now I do not know but according to DMV they do not list an after hours fee, especially since they clearly were operating the lot as all 3 other drivers that were towed were at the lot when I arrived. We all have receipts except one person and they towed all of our vehicles from the identical spot yet I was charged less than the other drivers. We all intend to provide the documentation to DMV to illustrate the descrepancies in the rates being charged. Given the nature of the event the tow driver could have asked to just give a courtesy PSA to let people know that they were going to tow. The attendees of the event where primarily church people just out enjoying a Sunday gospel event on the green which is sponsored by the bank for the summer events on a Sunday afteernoon. But these shady characters wanted to line their pockets at our expense by charging bogus after hours fees to pad the bill. According to DMV the maximum amount for a tow charge in this case is $104.95 not sure why they decided to overcharge us but we all intend to notify DMV and file complaints with the city and the Bank which the on duty Supervisor stated only leases the property any way so they have no say in what his company does.

My sunroof got stuck open I asked them to close it and see if they can fix it unfortunately $600 later they got a closed but now it leaks and my car is very moldy hopefully I can find a better mechanic to seal it off permanently be careful I also still have greasy fingerprints on my roof liner from The Mechanics Work.

Horrible policy. A Truck driver for this digusting business blocked my car into a space while I was in it and began to tow my car. When I said wait Im in my car I just parked here to send a long text his response was too late, Im already here, and Im not leaving without either $100 or your car. $94 later and a trip to the ATM because these sleezebags dont accept cards of any kind, this fat slop finally takes my car off of the back of his truck. Business like this should be illegal.

Was hung up on while trying to resolve my tow. Was told someone would be waiting for me at the lot and that was a lie. My car was towed within 15 minutes of parking. Terrible experience is an understatement . My car was towed without cause and my experience took a turn for the worse from there.
