The place is fantastic. John at the front is great, felt at home immediately. Was just there for maintenance on our baby hauler and I have total peace of mind knowing the work was done right.

2 star is not for the quality of work. They do a terrific job. I felt privileged to have them work on my 640 and had a tune done there a couple months ago knowing it would be back in there asap to have other mods done. I had been working with a previous shop manager in regards to highly modifying my car, with the understanding that it wouldnt be all at once. The last time I was there, I had received a wrong downpipe from a supplier not knowing. After patiently waiting for few weeks to get an appointment, RJ asked if it would be ok to have the car there a little longer over night because they had more important work and me being understanding as I have been in the car business 23 years say I understand only to find out tht i gotthe wrong part after being told the day before that the job was almost halfway done. Furthermore im told that they are no longer interested in smaller work if that is the case, then it shouldnt be advertised, and to put salt into my wounds even more, they shouldnt have pictures of my car on their site with captions saying its in service waiting and glistening in the sunlight! If they are trying to steer clear of smaller work because it slows the shop down, then i would suggest they stop taking pictures so much amd then they could take on small jobs with the time they found.

They gave us a tour of the cars honestly it is a great place with nice workers and good service guaranteed.

Highly professional, organized and friendly. I couldn’t recommend them enough. John and the rest of the team at SST are an example of how to build lasting relationships with clientele. I will be going here for anything I need in the future.

Fantastic facility and people, some very choice cars in there. Had a Soul muffler delete system put in...they look excellent and tip fitment and alignment is 100% spot on.

Went to Speedsport about a year ag for alignment. Beautiful, clean shop, and friendly staff. The issue I had was the alignment wasnt straight with steering wheel and I took it back to fix. Car got there with no issues outside of the wheel alignment. They put it on the rack to correct and then they took the car out for a test drive. They brought it back with a coolant return hose leaking coolant and it looked like it clearly got clipped on something while their driver was out. They made me pay for the part and labor to replace even though it happened due to their employee. I would have loved to keep going there but couldnt after that.

Went there on a recommendation. Received professional service and plain English explanations. The bill didnt hurt either. Youll definitely leave with a 😀 on your face

This place is Awesome and Amazing! The professionalism and courtesy is unheard of. My first time there 6/26/20 and it wont be my last time there. Everyone is very polite and although the place looks expensive, its not! The prices are right and they treat and handle your car as if its their car. They walk you through everything and they dont order, touch or add parts without calling you first! John is amazing and knows his stuff along with both Mark, Mark and Bryant and rest of the crew. They make you feel like your in a real professional Nascars or IndyCar 500 garage they way they care about you and your car. Again not expensive but Amazing quality! I’m not a review person but they deserve it. I brought my BMW in to diag a TPMS malfunction. They found the problem in 1 hour after having brought it to 3 other places prior with no success. After picking up my car that evening, I noticed an issue with the trunk. Car was telling me it was open - and when I tried to open it, it wouldn’t budge. Called them the next business day and they got me in to repair it within hours. Luckily I work across the street and they even delivered my car back to me! Also special shoutout to John. Professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

I dont have a fancy car but these guys serviced and fixed issues in my old Honda Accord and Honda Odyssey that made it possible for me to sell them - they diagnosed, gave me good advice on where NOT to spend money, and fixed things for a great price that had to be fixed. Great knowledgeable dedicated staff! Passionate about fixing any car you bring in and were frankly less expensive than my local garage and WAY less expensive than my dealer - and their technicians knew more about cars than my dealers mechanics.

I have to say that the people I met (Spencer, Chris and Chris) down at Speedsport far exceeded my expectations. I was on a business trip to the Danbury area when my Mercedes lost a front wheel bearing on the highway - fortunately I was able to limp back to my hotel that night. I searched the Internet for Mercedes repair shops and Speedsport came up. I e-mailed them and explained my situation, expecting a reply the next morning, but received a reply from Spencer within an hour (at 9pm). He informed me that he would be able to check the car out first thing in the morning and provide a loaner car if needed - I was very relieved. I had my car towed to the shop and it was checked out and diagnosed by 9:30 am. Chris set me up with a nice Audi loaner so I could make my meetings. It turned out that a special part was needed from CA - so I had the loaner for two days. The part came in at 3pm the second day and the car was ready to go by 5pm. I was truly impressed by the high level of courtesy and attention to customer service that this shop has attained. I would definitely be a regular customer if I were local. Thanks again for being great to me and my Benz.

All though you hope you never need to have your car repaired, SST has been great. The service writers are knowledgeable and very responsive. The quality of work has been outstanding and they genuinely care. I highly recommend SST.

Chris did another great job explaining all repairs that were needed on my MB - from the air filter replacement to changing the spark plugs. I never felt pressured. The crew at SST perform repairs right the first time. Without a doubt I would recommend this shop to any one who owns an European car and wants their vehicle running its best. This place fixes Audis better and cheaper than the dealership.

Only rating 4 stars so I can leave some room for a 5-star if/when I continue to get work done there.Luckily I have nothing bad to say about this place at all. I had suspension work done with them on my Mustang GT - they ordered the 3rd party parts for me, were very good with communication and accommodation of scheduling, and the guys were really nice. When I stopped by for them to take a look at my car for an estimate, the tech was very friendly and showed me around the shop and what cars/projects they were working on.

Really great group of guys. Chris was very helpful and his communication was excellent. I brought my 2011 BMW in for a service. They were reasonably priced and highly regarded. I am typically my own mechanic, but I will certainly bring my car to these guys when I need something out of my scope of work to be done, and thats saying something.Oh and they washed my car which was unexpected since all I got were tires mounted. If I could give them an extra star I would.

My Volvo S80 broke down on I-84 on Sunday afternoon of Presidents Day Weekend. I did not know where to have it towed, but lucky for me I found SST Auto! Within hours after leaving a message on the office phone, I received a call back from Spencer, who assured me that my car would be looked at first thing Monday morning. On Monday morning I spoke with Chris, the mechanic, who explained everything to me and what my car needed. Within 24 hours after having my car towed to SST, it was expertly repaired and ready for me to drive back to Pennsylvania! The customer service is OUTSTANDING! Being from out-of-state, they could have taken their time and could have overcharged me, but they went above and beyond and quickly got me safely on my way at a very reasonable price! I only wished I lived closer, because I would bring my car for service here on a regular basis. Thank you!!

In fact, the last time I went in to have my check engine light looked at, they didnt even charge me for a quick fix. (Ive been very frustrated with the poor service & dishonesty from other VW dealerships in the area. I wish I would have found Speedsport years ago.)They always call me to give me a detailed assessment and estimate for approval before starting any repair work. Turnaround times on repair work is lightning fast. And I always receive a detailed invoice which I appreciate having for my records.I am a lifetime customer and highly recommend them.

Speedsport replaced the HID bulbs in my Passat, which involved removing the bumper. They were friendly, very low-key, and most importantly did and excellent job; I carefully checked and cannot tell there was any work done, except of course for the bright new headlights. Ill definitely be using them again for routine maintenance or repairs or any cool upgrades that I happen to find. Impressed.

These guys are fantastic--and as a past technician and present-day avid German car DIYer, it takes a lot for me to say that about an auto shop.Friendly, knowledgeable, articulate and no BS customer service, Chris and the technicians will take the time to properly explain or show you what you need to know about your car, and are happy to give out a few pro tips.In terms of the quality of work--top notch. As good or better than the dealership, only without all the dubious scare tactics and up-selling. What really seals the deal for me though, is the attention to detail. I cant express how hard this is to come by among auto shops.This shop services high-dollar and race-prepped Porsches all day long, but if you bring them a Volkswagen they will treat it and you with the same level of respect. Are they more expensive than the monkey wrench-wielding dude at the corner gas station? Yes they are, but if you own and and appreciate German cars, you understand the TLC they require. If you own a German car and live in the vicinity, I cant think of a good reason not to have your car serviced at SST.

These guys are the best when it comes to knowledge, expertise and customer service. Chris and Bryan continually exceed my expectations. I get immediate answers to my questions (even to emails I send after hours, not expecting to hear back until the next day) and they do whatever it takes to make sure Im taken care of. Case in point - today I found out that window tint is no longer permitted to pass NY state inspection. They helped me out in a pinch to get it removed (above & beyond) so I could pass inspection, rather than referring me elsewhere. They always give me a courtesy heads-up about future potential maintenance expenses, but never pressuring me. I find their prices to be reasonable and competitive. I highly recommend SST Auto.

You know youre getting your car serviced at the right place when: You take your car in for an alignment you think you need, and they tell you the alignment is fine ...You need rear calipers installed and they offer to paint them to match the fronts ... You take your car in for mechanical work and they talk to you about the different parts they can use for the job. My 2007 MINI takes a beating on the road and at track days. SST is the only shop I trust to work on it.

October 2013 I was considering building a new race car. Had spoken to a number of trusted experts in the Porsche racing and HPDE field about what to build and who to have build it for me.They all - and I mean ALL - sent me to Spencer Cox and Speed Sport Tuning in Danbury CT. I knew Spencers reputation (which is excellent) but did not really know the company.So I met with Spencer; told him what I wanted and that I didnt have unlimited funds. He spent hours going through the options, how we could fit my budget, similar projects they had done, and showed me the shop. Introduced me to the people that would be involved (who were invariably polite, knew their stuff, and were fellow enthusiasts).So I went ahead - this is my 3rd Porsche track car but the first I had ever had built to my specifications. It was done on time, on budget (actually under-budget, as we added a few improvements along the way that fit into the original budget), and it was fun. They were terrific about keeping me informed.Took delivery of the car 2 days ago. As we settled up, I told Spencer - every step of the project was a joy for me. A GREAT team.

Awesome group of people. I have a project car Im working on, that I need to roll around in the shop for a while during rebuild. Needed a set of roller tires for that. Walked in sight unseen and spoke to Vance. A few weeks later, he let me root around for half an hour in their tire pile until i found the perfect set of used race tires - and he didnt charge me a penny for them.First impressions count for a lot - and these guys made a great one. You can bet Ill be taking my car to them for service and upgrades once its done!

The only place to get your Audi serviced right the first time for a fair price. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail returns the car better than when it went in.We think nothing of getting the car serviced and jumping in and driving to Florida and back.Just got back and the Audi ran like a champ !

My water pump imploded while I was on I287. I sent a a request for service at 8 pm and I was responded to within three minutes. The quality of service was high, the mechanics called me with the issue, the estimate to replace and completed the fix at a far lower cost than going to an unresponsive Porsche dealer.I will go to SST from now on.

Obviously this is a high-end independent service center with a wide variety of all kinds of cars from Volkswagens right up to high-end Porsches.I demand to have professionalism and the work done right the first time without having any problems.This is the place to go as Chris Saharek, the Director of European Operations, is what I call a true professional.I have to drive one hour to this facility, but it is well worth it as the service to my vehicle is completed with the highest quality.I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who values true craftmanship.

ATTENTION TESLA OWNERS!!!This is is the place you want to have your Tesla aligned. Please don’t take it to Tesla Service Centers. I got my Model 3 delivered with the alignment off, it pulled really hard to the right. I took it to Tesla Service Center in Mt Kisco “5” times. And they told me that the car drove as expected, that it was probably the road crowns, that it was the way that the model 3 handles, that it was the steering self alignment… bla bla bla… they even kept it two days at one point to try to figure out the alignment…Super long story sort: I decided to take it to SPEEDSPORT TUNING because I read really good reviews. I spoke to Chris and he was really great, I brought it in and Mike performed the alignment. In 1 hour Mike nailed it and the car drove as never before since the 5 months I owned it. I will be taking my car here for anything that I need to have done in the future… Thank you guys! Well deserved the good reviews and the successful business.

I was treated royally when I arrived for a tune up and oil change for my 2001 BMW 740il. All the paperwork was preprinted to make it a smooth drop off process. I had talked to Chris prior to my visit and what he quoted was exactly what he had told me when I first made the appointment two months earlier. I was allowed to take a car to use instead of waiting to get the work done on site and that worked out very well. When it was done I received a call immediately giving me time to coordinate my busy calendar accordingly. I also appreciated having the car washed upon completion which was an added bonus. Overall I would recommend Chris and his team to anyone that asked. He was also very clear as to what was to be done which I also appreciated. I will definitely be back again whenever the need arises.

Earlier this week I recently brought my car in for a rear main seal leak. A minor timing chain cover leak was found as well. The repair cost was reasonable when compared to Danbury VW. I did not bother to compare with other shops. The service representative I had to deal with was some what cold and some what arrogant. Come to realize he did not even thank me for my business. Given there are many repair shops to choose from feeling valued is as just as important as the repair job itself. Not sure if I would go back.

I was late upon arrival and they went out of their way to finish the scheduled work by doubleing up on my car. Bryan even gave us a tour of the awesome facility.The work done on my car was done very well and in good time. This is a place i highly recommend and will certainly use from here on in when i need service on my vehicles. Ive been to many shops of the sort, having owed dozens of various exotics. Chris came thru once again. I brought my BMW 740 IL in for just an oil change and antifreeze change. I wanted to only use the BMW antifreeze brand because of its high quality and asked Chris if I could get that because if not I will reschedule. I was pleasantly surprised when he said that is their normal process to use it.I also mentioned that there were oil leaks coming from under the engine and asked if that could be checked out. Well I am glad I asked (at no extra charge) because they found significant issues that needed attention. The issues were so significant that I will have to check my oil levels after every other gas fill up to be sure that the oil wastopped off. Just to take no chances I scheduled to have it fixed when I got home. It is so important to me to have expert technical advice when asked and not the other way around namely be pressured to act immediately like your typical car salesman.

Ladies, bring your car to SST Auto because they are professionals you can trust. My visit to SST Auto made my day! I was welcomed by Mark, Chris & Rachel, offered a great cup of gourmet coffee and enjoyed a protein bar, as well as interesting conversation, while my car was professionally serviced. Less than an hour later, my Mercedes was diagnosed and up an running. A few days before another shop in the area had told me that the cost of repair would be prohibitive and I should look into acquiring a new car at once. Well, not only did the mechanics at SST Auto get the job done, but to my complete surprise, there was no charge. SST Auto has a great policy of a free diagnosis for the first visit and that solved my problem. All this on Columbus Day!

Chris preformed a excellent job installing a Stasis Suspension Kit on my Audi RS4. This was my first time there and not my last! Kudos to the crew at SpeedSport Tuning!

They began by servicing my 1988 Porsche Carrera Cab and did such a great job, that they now do the service on my C-6 Corvette ZO-6. They even do a once a year service check on my Backdraft Cobra. They can handle anything and get it right the first time. Great people to deal with!

I hadnt used Spencers team since Speedsport moved out of Norwalk as Danbury is a bit out of the way for me. I took my lightly driven 1988 911 there recently to have them look at a oil leak it had developed. The level of professionalism and customer service far exceeded what Ive gotten elsewhere. They fixed the oil leak for much less than Id been quoted elsewhere. They also gave the car a good inspection and suggested some maintenance items and suggested which I should prioritize to stay within my current budget. My car is driving great and I have a good sense of what it will need in the next couple years. Thanks SST. Its worth the drive to Danbury.

I found out about SST through a coworker of mine who had his VW serviced there and he highly recommended it. My 2003 WRXs brakes were feeling VERY soft and my normal shop was backed up until July, so I took a chance.I put in a request and about 2 days later was contacted by Chris. I had an appointment for Monday, June 9th and I brought it in. I thought I needed brake pads but it ended up being the master brake cylinder, but they didnt have it in stock. I brought it back the next day, but they had to order the part from Subaru directly, and they couldnt service it till Wednesday. Chris wasnt in Monday and the person covering for him was covering for a second person as well, so it wasnt ordered Monday.Once I brought it back on Wednesday, I ended up having to call them with an hour left of them being open to find out it was actually done. I paid and picked it up and found to my surprise that it had been washed.Overall Im happy with the word but knocked a star off for communication. I understand these things happen, but it still affected me.

Best alignment Ive ever had in any car at any shop. Brought both of my B5 A4 and S4 to SST for 4 wheel alignment. The steering wheel was actually straight, which I have never had with any car. And the rims didnt get scratched up like they did at other shops. Looking forward to getting my 6speed rebuild by SST this winter. Just wish they had a dyno, so I could see what the car puts down without having to go to a different shop. I like sticking with a good shop, they arent easy to find.

Had to have Bilsteins replaced, SST had originally installed both Eilbach springs and the Bilsteins so went back to have them install the front struts. Chris handled getting replacement struts under warranty and the work was done well.Kudos for a shop that knows what they are doing.

Amazingly good, friendly and competent service. I have taken two dual-purpose street/track Porsches - a 993 and a 987S - to SST for major service, including rear axle replacements. Communication was clear and prompt. The work was correct, undertaken quickly, very fairly-priced (their hourly rate was less than 50% of my surly local stealership, and they passed some of their discount on OEM parts) and has been both long-lived and trouble-free. Heres the real difference: The owner and employees are true enthusiasts and perfectionists and make me feel like I am part of a team, the goal of which is to make me a faster, safer, better driver. Yes, this requires a credit card, but I trust them to find problems before they affect my safety, make upgrade recommendations appropriate for my skill level and do great work while making me feel like a valued customer. (Theyll also drive you to the train station and pick you up when the car is ready!) Recommended without reservation.

Ive been servicing my two Porsches at Speedsport for the past three seasons and I would recommend them to anyone serious about having their cars serviced professionally. I live in Amagansett, New York, and its worth the trip to Connecticut to get the work done right the first time. I used other speed shops before, and Speedsport has been a huge upgrade over all the others.Besides service and repair, they have transported and given trackside support for my race car. Im not sure it can get any better than this. As a bonus, you get to tap into the wealth of knowlege and information that Spencer has.

I took My 1991 Mercedes 350 SDL which I purchased in Germany and love the car. Chris at SST performed great service, putting in a new steering box and trying to get my dash lights to work after going to another Danbury foreign car service and completely ruining my dash by putting in LEDs and not leaving the sockets, so the bulbs could just be replaced.I will never go to another shop in Danbury ever again. Just the best around and dont even think about going any place else to service.

SST services and repairs VWs, Audi and porches. Chris, SSTs resident VW expert and technical supervisor is outstanding. I needed to replace CV Joints on my wifes 2005 Passat Wagon. I had checked with other foreign car repair shops in the area, but did not receive a comfort level I was looking for. This vehicle only has 20K on it.I went to SST and Chris looked at the car and provided an exact estimate. He discovered, it required a new rear tail seal as well. I was with Chris as he inspected front to rear. He answered every question with detailed answers. I received an exact estimate, and that was the price I paid. No gimmicks, No tricks, no SLEAZE. This is a class operation. Immaculate garage and facility. I met Spencer the owner and complimented him, personally on the professionalism of his employees. They also gave me a very nice Audi loaner to drive for the day. If you need repairs on your foreign car, this is the place to go. Its the first time I ever left a auto repair facility, smiling!
