This is a fantastic diner owned by amazing people. The food and the service is old school incredible. Been going here for decades. They also make catering trays with all the ingredients for an awesome barbecue. George and the crew are family. Love this place and now my adult kids do as well.
Had a horrible experience at the Denny’s so me and my boyfriend went here instead. BEAUTIFUL SERVICE! We were sat down quickly and everyone one who worked there was super friendly. This is now my boyfriends and I’s go-to spot when we come to Danbury to visit my family.
Best eggs Benedict Ive had in my life! Clean establishment, friendly staff, and very accommodating considering the added volume from the hockey tournament. Will definitely go back when were in town! Thank you!
I’ve known about this place all my life but just recently started going. Friendly staff, great food and I can’t rave enough about their monthly shakes! Parking isn’t great but don’t let that shy you away. Haven’t had a single bad experience here and will continue giving them my support, keep it up guys and gals!!

Stopped by this Great diner this morning on our travels through Connecticut! What an awesome experience. Breakfast was delicious and the shake actually is the best in the universe. If we lived close it definitely would be our regular stop!!!

Great food whether it’s breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. It’s across from the Danbury Railway Museum so that gives you something to do before or after enjoying some good food. The milkshakes here at Holiday Diner are incredibly delicious and I’d put them up against some of the best shakes around. The service is quick and friendly and the coffee is always fresh and hot. Definitely worth stopping in!

Holiday is a Classic for locals .. its been around for many years and the food is always consistent .. Tasty, hot, fast and fresh !They excel at all the standard Diner fare.They make what your momma used to make, but they just do it better (dont let mom know .. lol).Please dont think that Holiday just stops there .. they have daily and weekly specials that are pretty much exceptional in both flavor and quality .. The regulars flock in on their favorite day(s)and I actually rarely order off the regular menu because theres always something on the Specials Menu that catches my eye.Always be sure to check out their soup of the day .. Im only ever disappointed when I cant have a cup.Holiday is also known for making one of the best authentic Milkshakes in town, with many unique options as well as any thing you can come up with .. if they have the ingredient, you can put it in your shake .. including a few liquor options if youd like (and are over 21).With the onset of CoVid, Holiday has adapted and, in my opinion, excelled at meeting the challenge.Its always been a clean, safe place to go .. and they havent let that slide .. theyve also added some outdoor seating thats quite nice.Beside their normal care with to-go food, theyve added some unique options for feeding families .. When I was in the other day, they were offering a take-out Brunch for 4 option (drinks included), as well as a Burger Meal package that includes enough food and burgers to feed 12 (you have to cook/grill the burgers yourself). Next time youre invited to chill with friends and family at the park or beach, you can just call Holiday and not worry about prepping the meal .. how easy!As always for me, one of my basic expectations for a good Diner is a hot tasty and consistently refilled cup of coffee .. here too, Holiday excels .. they do it right!

As kids we use to get kicked out 🤠 just about every store and only one restaurant/ diner let us sit and eat .while mom worked so hard and was to tired to cook. Great hospitality good food till this day.

Food was good too - eggs bene and home fries done just right, and PLENTY of good coffee to go around! Didnt have the Best Milkshake in the Universe as it was a but early in the day, but I will be back to try it with my Alien friends. EAT HERE.

Breakfast was awesome!! Hot and fresh. I had a simple Eggs, Bacon, and Home Fries with a bowl of fruit. The fruit was delicious and the bacon crisp, just has if Mom had just made me breakfast!! Gonna keep going back!!

I ordered a club sandwich I asked for cheese and russian dressing-- they charged extra for the cheese and there was none--they refused to make the adjustment and the sandwich was very bad .

This restaurant was just what I needed. It always has delicious, home made meals. Real, stick to your ribs, food.What makes it even better is that they were open tonight during a power outage. Why? BECAUSE THEY HAVE THEIR OWN GENERATOR!During this COVID-19 pandemic they have diners eating outside, under spacious canopes and completely undisturbed by lack of electricity.I dont think its possible for any business to do better!
After over 3 months of no sit down dining, holiday diner was our first experience. Thier outdoor socially distant and tented tables are a brilliant idea. The service was fantastic and the food was great. Its old scool diner food and you just cant go wrong with that.

Friendly and cozy atmosphere with great food in a clean building.When we entered we were greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. We chose our own seat and the waitress immediately came to help us. She was also polite and did a good job. The food was well made and fair priced. This was also one of the cleanest diners i have been to.I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area

Came here today to try out since the diner weve been going to for over 30 yrs has been taken over by new owners and the quality there has diminished greatly. We were VERY impressed by New Holiday. Clean!! Our server was attentive, friendly and very thorough. The food was great. We tried this diner here based on reviews and the good reviews were right on. Well be back.

This is one of Danburys best spots to grab a great meal! George meets and greets all...and makes every customer feel special. The prices are competitive and the portions above-average for the money. You wont find a better Chef Salad in the USA! The wait staff are all friendly and attentive. George and his fantastic crew will make you glad you stopped in...and your experience will have you returning time and again.
Ive been coming here with my mom since I was a toddler (Im now 31) and no other diner comes close in quality of food or friendly service. Ruth is my favorite waitress but thats not to say that there are *any* bad servers. The new owner George is just great & I loved Ishmael before him & Nick before him always won me stuffed animals from the claw machine when I was young. I wont bother ordering cheese fries and gravy anywhere else. This place is simply amazing.
