Good service and solid diner food thats pretty consistent. I meet friends there on a regular basis. Its a diner and my expectations are just that - diner food. Easy on & off I-84. A rating of 3 is a little low. But a rating of 4 is too high. A 3.5 is good and I still come here regularly.

Delicious, maybe our new favorite diner in town. Dependable omelettes, excellent chocolate chip pancakes (wishing you had regular syrup bottles but Im just being picky) awesome chicken fingers. Basically everything we ever want 😂 thanks for the great service and the smiles today, it was a long hot one for all of us.
Had the deli Reuben. Was incredible. Always ask for a side of one thousand island dressing when you get fries because oh my do they really give you sauce. 15/10 will eat again within the week

Thought we would be going in for a quick lunch. Got seated right away, was disappointed and how long it took for our food to come. They were busy for lunch, I just hope it said they were short-handed in the kitchen. Ive ordered from here to go before and it was pretty quick. Food was okay, so we may try it again at a later date.
Me and my fiancée were so excited to try out this diner as we’ve heard good things about it. However our experience was not a good one. For starters the customer service was horrible, it wasn’t swamped so there was no reason our waitress had an attitude and wasn’t attentive at all to our table. She didn’t check on us the entire hour we were there. Moving on to the food, for starters we order cheese fries and loaded nachos, my fiancé’s cheese fries were French fries with unmelted slices of white cheese on top with gravy “cheese fries”, POOR presentation and absolutely disgusting. The nachos were equally as trifling the tortilla chips were stale, the cheese was shredded cheese (old) toppings tasted old as well. They were good about removing it from my bill as I sent it right back. Our main course meal was decent at most. My hunny ordered fish and chips (the fish was large pieces of fish sticks and were burned, not to mention the taste was on the cheap side) my burger was decent, it didn’t come seared in bbq sauce like it was supposed to they put the bbq sauce on the side . Overall I’d give this place no stars if I could, disgusting old food & horrible service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my dog let alone other people 🤮

My family and I have been eating at the Mill Plain Diner for years. For nostalgic purposes I remember going here a lot growing up when it was the Windmill Diner. They changed owners a few years ago. The food is delicious like their sandwiches and breakfast items. I find the service to be very friendly and accommodating. I really like that they have Lobster Mac and Cheese and they make it very well.

Second time in six months we went here. Second time we left and said never again. We thought of giving it a second chance, but we were wrong. The food was good, but waited 45 minutes for our meal. Only 2 waitresses working, I felt bad for ours and let her know she was doing a great job considering the circumstances. If they cant get people to work then they should pay them more.
The chicken soup is the best Ive ever purchased and the cheesecake is phenomenal. I usually hate cheesecake so thats saying something

Our waiter was so rude. 1st off it took him long to get to our table with drinks. 2nd it took 20 mins for him to come back to take the order. 3rd the food was cold also forgot to bring out other things we ordered. He just looked defeated and tired. So sad. Wish it was still Windmill Diner. My parents were really upset.

We asked for a table a were given a table. Only 1 waitress, so things were slow, but good. The food was good. There was dill in the bean soup, a little unusual. We stayed to chat, and were not hassled at all.
I am traveling from work currently I am from Houston Texas we stumbled upon this little diner while we were looking for a grocery store near our hotel we went in and got treated with such wonderful hospitality from the manager and weight staff got set down right away they even brought us water without even asking.And the food was absolutely delicious I will be here near this diner for a few months working me and my crew are definitely going to be going to this diner a few times a week Go check them out and you should even try some of their baked goods

This is our favorite local diner. Weve been there countless times and they never disappoint. They are fast, friendly, and the food is delicious. The breakfast in particular is creative for a diner.

This is probably the best diner in the Danbury area. The food is consistently good. I usually end up getting the breakfast. The eggs are always cooked well. Scrambled, over easy, poached... theyll get the eggs right. The hash however is wet/soggy so ask for them to be subbed for fries. The fries and onion rings are always on point. The burgers are hit all the marks and are decent for the price. I had the fish and chips for the first time the other day. The fish was flakey and not greasy even though you know it was deep fried.The staff here is quick and friendly. Theres plenty of parking. Like any other good NE diner, they are busy on the weekends so except a wait. The diner is a little out of the way but its worth the trip to me.

We were told that it was a 15 minute wait. Ok no problem it is a Sunday and there is less seating since capacities are at a lower amount. There were two parties outside waiting besides us. I saw at least six separate parties finish dining and no one came out to get any of us waiting. We waited 25 minutes and then I went back in to question how long. Was told there were still 3 tables to be sat before us. That makes no sense since in 25 minutes people left and none of us outside were seated. The response I got was well I cant tell diners to leave. I said I understand that but you cant have people waiting and not give any information or not seat people when parties have left. I seriously think they were seating other parties who came in on the other side. One of the parties waiting outside had said they were already waiting 45 minutes. No thank you. We went to another diner and were seated right away with no issues.
Tried this diner for the first time today. Friendly service. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips. I had the pot roast and it was a mistake. It took a long time for our food to come although it wasnt terribly busy. When my food finally arrived my pot roast was cold, the mashed potatoes were room temperature but the corn was hot. I asked for some butter and waited a long time for the waitress to bring it. By then my corn and potatoes were as cold as the pot roast. The roast was cold and very dried out and the gravy was full of lumps. Just really disappointing in general. Clearly I ordered the wrong meal. Doubt we will return.
Nasty food and the waitress was extremely rude I left her a good tip though because I know we all have struggles but it wasn’t necessary for her to act like that

Special section of diner arranged for a family celebration. Considerate, professional service, full menu available, food was delicious. Will return in the future.

Cozy little place. The food was ok, service was ok, I liked that we were able to stay awhile and chat even though the waitress gave us our receipt shortly after we ate, I guess hoping wed leave? She didnt bother to even check back if we needed a cup of tea or anything else. The owner or manager was nice and accommodating. Overall, I would recommend.

Great diner. Routine ample options. They seem to have stripped down their menu recently, and for the better. Was easily able to have a great vegetarian breakfast of avocado toast and oatmeal with raisins and syrup, with a side of nice fruit. So tasty. Very prompt service always nearby and attending.
