We are an after school program, (American TKA Martial Arts) and our vehicles are our life. We have 7 buses that are used daily and having them in working order is critical. We got rid of our last mechanic technicians due to poor service and tried Kovac based on their customer reviews. We could not be any happier. I was so happy with the service from Kovac. My car was making a jingling sound and Im a single woman so they couldve easily taken advantage. They were honest and told me it was only a rock in my exhaust. Im truly thankful and will definitely return and recommend them to everybody.

I have been going to Kovac for over 6 years and recently the service has severely declined. I brought my truck in for a check engine light which turned out to be the O2 sensor. After paying I try to leave and the truck wont start and no lights will come on. After they look at it they claim my battery is bad and want an additional $160ish to replace. They basically said it wasnt their fault and I was out of luck. I have never had any battery issues prior and my battery is less than 2 yrs old.My previous visit to Kovac I purchased 2 new tires and had them rotate my others, as soon as I got on the highway they were shaking so bad it felt like they had forgotten to balance them at all.Kovac used to do quality work but based on my last couple visits I will be looking for a new mechanic.

I have been trusting my 3 cars to Kovac Automotive for the past 3 years. They check, detect and advise on possible trouble areas of your car, without hustling for repairs. Trully PROFESIONAL and RELIABLE service results.

Initial repairs and costs seemed reasonable since I have a 2011 Kia Sorento with 255k miles and was ready to spend $$$. Camshaft sensors, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets replaced, a couple more things =$1500. Walked out totally impressed with this place especially since my car was washed and clean on the inside!! I had to take my car back in a couple of weeks later due to a major oil leak, burned rubber smell and stiffness in steering. Serpentine belt and front crank seal leak replaced. Another $500 and seemed reasonable. Now a week later, ABS, traction and downhill assist light on, oil leaking everywhere, my steering goes out and alternator light is on. I am told that the serpentine belt broke, got tangled up, broke the front crank seal, and the ABS light went on because the alternator “was not connecting” when the serpentine belt broke so they just had to reset it. They replaced both the serpentine belt and front crank seal which thankfully were under warranty. When I pick up the car, I am told that they forgot about the harmonic balancer (wasn’t sure what they meant by “forgot”) the last time my car was there. Another $200+. So ok fine. The NEXT day, oil is leaking again and ABS light back on. Took it in, now a 4th time, and asked for a different mechanic (same one past 3 times). Valve covers were cracked ($400+) and a code for the ABS light. I am told that they will reset the ABS light to see if it comes back on and 2 days for the valve covers to come in. It’s 2 days later, I call in the early afternoon for a status. Parts still not in and 3rd day without a car. I called Joe Kovac directly and calmly expressed my frustration. He listened to my concerns and advised that he would pay for the valve covers (greatly appreciated) and that my car would be done before noon the next day. Next day, after calling twice for a status because it is now 2pm, I am told my car is fixed BUT the ABS light is back on. Now I am at my breaking point and I questioned why this couldn’t have been determined during the 3 days my car was in there while waiting for the valve covers to come in. The rep snapped at me and told me that I can approve “$700” for the wheel hub sensor and can still drive my car until the part comes in. No thank you. I opted to just pick up my car and while there, the rep tells me that it would be $291 for the wheel hub sensor (don’t know where the $700 came from). I trusted them to fix my car right but after the 3rd and 4th time having to go back for the same issues I dont anymore and I wont use them again. Now I have to find another place to figure out what is really going on with my ABS light.

If you need services SEE LUIS, hes the best mechanic in town!!! I go where ever he works because his work is immaculate. He always makes sure to take care of my vehicle as if it were his own! My car runs better with every repair!!

I came in needed a patch, they advise me they had no one that could assist me, within a hour time. Worst experience ever in a time of emergency needed a fix tire or possibly needed another tire!

They were very accommodating when I had car trouble at 5:00 one evening. Car was towed to their shop after 6:00 and they were about to close for the day. Rina stayed to answer my questions and fill out paperwork ... above and beyond.

Mike Baron is such a talented manager. He runs a tight ship. WITH A MASSAGE CHAIR IN THE LOBBY!All the employees are nice to me and have serviced my car in every way I needed. They are thorough and efficient within a timely manner.Last time I left I had a weight lifted off my shoulders because I knew my car was fixed and running in tip top shape.

Hiring a mechanic can be a stressful event. Usually, you dont have a choice. Your car breaks down and youve got to go to the nearest mechanic.Kovac Automotive has been in Davie, Florida for 20 plus years. Theyre so busy you cant even find a place to park. This place is FANTASTIC!!! I took my lifted truck with oversize tires in to have a steering wheel wobble that two shops previously had not been able to correctly diagnose/repair. Took car in for basic oil change and service. They discovered that my front wheels were badly damaged, wires exposed on the inner side which I did not see. Said it was due to poor wheel alignment. They caught an repaired a problem that could have cost me more than $$$$

What can I say about Kovac? Their parking lot is a little crowded but I can only assume its because everyone wants to come here. Inside the lobby youll find free soda, water, coffee and the like. There are couches and chairs that are comfortable, with a TV and plenty of outdated magazines in case you choose to wait for your car like I do. And I never mind waiting because its always quick and painless. They dont try to oversell anything either! Always a courteous, pleasant, and expedited experience. :) Was referred by a friend years ago and I no longer go anywhere else, and everyone I know comes here.

So we have a chevrolet cruze LTZ 2013 and we left it with Kovac mechanic. The car was overheating and since we wanted to sell the car we asked for diagnostics. They told us that they just need to exchange some hoses and then they noticed that there is a crack on the turbo. Not only that we paid almost $2k for the repair and the car is broken again not even a week after we picked up the car from the Kovac bit also 1h after picking ip the car we boticed that the front right light is not working and they didnt even address it.

Had my car serviced at Kovac for the past four years since moving to Davie from up North. Best, thorough service in town. They explain exactly whats going on with my car without any gimmicks. Trustworthy and fair.

Went in to replace my windows motor and an oil change after I called for a price. From my call to the time my car was done, the customer service is amazing. Also, my husband went to pick me up after dropping off my car and got some nails/screws in of his tires. We had to rush to our sons competition and after went to a shop close to the competition site. That place told my husband he needed a new tire. Luckily, they didnt have it. So he mentioned it to the manager. The manager said he could look at it. They repaired the tires and did not want to charge. My husband for it. My husband just wanted to let them know to be careful, but he insisted on not letting him pay. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommended them!

But yesterday they went for the extra mile, I had a flat tire during the rain and they send me a guy to help me an install the spare tire during the storm and he follow me to their shop and fix the tire. These guys were super efficient, polite, and straightforward. When my tire exploded, my AAA tow truck took me to this place (never been before) to buy a new tire and get it replaced. They didnt carry my size of tire (apparently its a rare one nowadays), but apologized that they didnt have it. When I did purchase it elsewhere, I came back to this place a few days later. Hadnt made an appointment, just walked in and they took care of me right away. They actually remembered me. Waiting room was pleasant. Free wifi, a massage chair, plenty of plugs to charge every type of phone or computer, and the A/C was a good temperature. I waited about an hour to have my tire changed and another issue with my undercarriage looked at. I was pretty nervous that I would be upcharged (sometimes that happens going into an auto shop you dont know), but they were totally fair and gave me a fair price. I would definitely return here if I need auto service in the Davie area again. THANK YOU! You guys made a bad situation for me go super smoothly and put my fears to rest.

I brought my car in to be serviced for an oil change and repair a vacuum pump leak. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The mechanic, Jeremy, is professional and proficient. He explained the details of the job thoroughly, answered my questions and discussed reasonable options with me. The customer service at this location is second to none, truly exceptional. Their pricing is fair, quite inexpensive in comparison to other shops and the dealership. They work FAST! For a job of this magnitude, my dealership quoted me overnight-- here, it was a total of under 2 hours! In an industry saturated with sharks and businesses that scam, Im so grateful to have been referred to Kovac by a friend. Thank you Kovac & thank you Jeremy!

They tell you the truth and thats worth a lot in my opinion. This used to be the best shop in the area. They are still good, but it feels like they are getting a little sloppy with the increased amount of business lately. I did a huge amount of work and my car sat over the weekend, then my car didnt start. They rectified the issue as well as physically possible. My car was immediately towed at no cost and corrected the same day. Mike is very respectful and handled everything very professionally. I would still recommend them, even after this issue.

Called ahead to get tires rotated, they said no worries come in not busy. Waited 2.5 hrs for the service, then they called me up to pay and said they were wrapping up. After 10 minutes they then call me back and say sorry, we can’t perform the service. Such a waste of time! Then had to refund the money for a service they didn’t perform.

Worst auto shop ever. Got my car towed to their shop. Called me the next day to say they were gonna write a ticket so I can pay.Didnt hear back from them until TWO WEEKS LATER...saying that they finally have a ticket. $80 bucks later. Ridiculous

Took my ford focus in Feb., first for 90,000 mile service, then a week later to replace my engine mounts. I just want to say my car is running much better. All the excessive noise and vibration I had to deal with is gone. A good job and friendly service, they even drove me to work and picked me up to get the car when it was done. I will be bringing my car back for all future work and repairs.

I always get very honest to good work done on my cars by these guys. Today battery was dead and took car in after AAA told me my brand new battery was shot. I told the story to kovac and they were able to find the problem and fix it without buying a new battery. I always appreciate the honesty at this place (a rare commodity in south florida)!

I had a flat tire over the weekend and had put on the temporary spare, I purchased a used tire off Craigslist and went in to have them put it on the rim for me. They put it on and found out the tire had a small pin hole in it and told me that they had a used tire they could put on for $40 installed and balanced. I came to pick up the tire and they put it on my car within 5 minutes for Free! I was not expecting for them to put it on the car for me for free. Was very happy, found out the tire they put on had a very slow leak (not their fault), took it back to them and they swapped out the tire for another used one that looked like brand new! I was in and out within 45 minutes and couldnt be happier. Everyone there was very nice, and couldnt believe everything they did for me. I kept offering to pay more for their services but they kept telling me they would take care of it for no charge. I will be needing new tires in about 6 months and will definitely not take my car to anyone else just for that small favor they did for me. Thank you so much for being an honest stand up service shop! Will be sending everyone I know your way! I know now why their parking lot is so full and they are so busy, they are a great shop!

Only place Ive taken my car in 3 years. I feel like Im treated fairly and not screwed over because I dont know much about cars like at a lot of other places. Ive had a Corolla and F-150 serviced there and get the same respect as a customer every time. Staff are very friendly. I recommend Kovac to everyone who asks.

Great service. Ive been going here for years. It took me a long time to find a mechanic that will not screw me over. I love Kovac. The manager does a great job to take care of you. The two people that work the desk are great, too. Ive had everything imaginable wrong with my cars and their mechanics do a good job every time.

This is the worse car repair shop I ever been to. They have a very sleek way of making you think they can do the best job for you and that everyone else is bad mechanic. while charging you ridiculously expensive amount of money.They charged me $1850 for a car I ended fixing with $350 elsewhere.Another time, I had a flat tire, they told me my rims were bad and that I need new rims. Now you know the cost of changing rims on an Infiniti. I refused and took the car back to where I bought the tires 3 months prior, they found a nail in my tire and fixed it for $7, till today (1 year later) Im still driving that car with those rims and that tire.This place is a business that need to be closed down. Its a rip off business that I hope dies a natural death. Do not take your car here if you like your money and your car. They pretend to be nice while making a fortune from you.
