My favorite “ice cream” spot in Davis - the custard and Italian ice is a nice change of pace from standard ice cream or frozen yogurt. They let you make your own by choosing whatever flavor(s) of ice you’d like, but they also have a gigantic list of recommended recipes to inspire you. Highly recommend this place!

Usually they are great! And I highly recommend their orangesicle custard/ice. However I went in there at july 25 around 5pm and there were 3 girls behind the counter. First off, I dont know why you need 3 people to do that. Secondly, one of the girls was gossiping about me to her other co-worker while I was in ear-shot. Thirdly, when I was picking up my last order to take home to my family they hardly put any custard on it and two girls were there. One behind the cashier with her face less than 6 feet away just looking at me, not doing anything. Highly unprofessional usually the staff is great.

I stopped by yesterday during this insane heatwave and I was very happy with my purchase. The staff was extremely friendly, the custard was amazing, and they even had a nice fan inside which was a great way to cool off. Its also located right by E street plaza which is a nice place to sit down and enjoy your icecream.

Kids loved the shaved ice. Nice variety in flavors and good prices. It seemed like the flavors were from concentrates and not so much from real fruit (but still delicious).

The ice cream custard here is the best. So creamy. Mix that with the Italian shaved ice and its addictive. I stop by here every time I pass through Davis.

LOVE this place. It’s great dessert for everyone. There’s a lot of different options between crepes, frozen custard, and the shaved ice. Super fun environment. It’s a fun place to take the kiddos or meet up with friends. It’s in a central location so it’s easy to stop by after dinner downtown.

We cant go to Davis now without someone in the car asking can we stop at Sweet and Shavery the first time we had no clue how to order, but we love it. Their parfaits are the perfect cool treat on a hot day. Beware they have no public restroom however so be sure to make that stop before you go.

The parfait, a mixture of Italian ice and frozen custard, is to die for! The perfect level of sweetness and it tastes amazing!

I have tried every parfait on the laminated menu and I still love coming back for more. My favorites are the pie parfaits and the strawberry milkshake parfait. Crepes are really good too, a long with the friendly staff that has remembered us when we came.

An excellent dessert. Pretty much spot on in every way, but always order the small. Unless you can somehow eat it all in one bite, youll never finish the larger sizes before the melt, especially if you get the custards (which are the best part). Mixing the soft serve with the shaved ice is very similar to eating shaved ice with condensed milk and is amazing. I love it and would have regularly.

Friendly service, delicious frozen treats. I dont know how they swirl 2 & 3 flavors together, but they are as eye catching as they are tasty. Very popular on warm days, but the wait isnt too bad. They keep the line moving. Give it a try if you are nearby.

I went here around 8PM on a Tuesday, there were a couple people at tables and only a small group in front of me. I dont know how crowded it gets in the middle of the day during a Davis summer, but I was happy with how quick my transaction was.I went up to the counter and asked for a frozen custard sandwich. They make them fresh every morning so the guy walked to the freezer, pulled one out and paid him $2. I went back to my car and LOVED IT! It has two cinnamon-oatmeal cookies and a vanilla custard. Then the whole thing is dipped in chocolate. It was freaking delicious. I highly recommend it!

Ive been coming here for years whenever​ I meet with potential clients. Its very popular among students or those who lives by. The lot outside looks like a free place to park, but its not. Parking officers do hover around. Seating is all done inside and the place feels like AC is on. Aside from floats they also have dole whip mango with cayenne chili pepper. The staff are genuine wonderful people. Now, I need to finish up before my next meet up at 2pm sharp.

This place has really cute decor. Theres always a great backdrop on every table! The one time I went was when they had a pink fake flower. It was so cute! Their custard taste amazing! I ordered an orange ice with custard and it tasted almost like crush soda. Great place to chill in the summer for Davis students.

This place is awesome. If youve ever been to Ritas, its basically the same thing. Its shaved ice & custard in a cup & its amazing. Staff is friendly and the place is well kept. Also, if you sit in & enjoy your ice, they have lots of games you can play, like Jenga or Connect 4.

The place was very cute and I loved the feel of it. The frozen custard was very delicious but it reminded me a little bit of McDonalds ice cream (in a good way I think). It was a bit pricey but it was great to try once.

I love coming to this place with my roommates! We always get the shaved ice and play games at their little tables. The employees are always pleasant and theres almost always good music playing.

If its hot out. This is THE place to go the get your custard and flavored ice on.

The Reeses shake here is my guilty pleasure. I love their selection of crêpes. This is a great place to go for a quick treat either by yourself or with a small group of friends. Seating is a little limited, but they have a small selection of board games to stay amused while you enjoy your dessert!

The specialized custard cups are delicious. The quality of the custard keeps me wanting more, but it is not so sweet that I regret it afterward. The staff is friendly and despite pretty sparse seating it feels cozy inside.

I got their mango and coconut shaved ice with custard and it was so much better than I expected. They have a plethora of different flavors and combinations, I didnt get a chance to try their chocolate custard but it looks like its good too!

Theyre always playing party music in here and thats my only complaint. Its just ice cream and shaved ice. Whys it gotta be so hype in there all the time? There is a demographic outside of college party people and even they might appreciate a vibe that isnt so in your face... Just saying. Again, its just ice cream!!I appreciate the shaved ice but when mixed with the frozen custard, which is delicious and creamy, it really waters down the flavor I feel. So I may never get the shaved ice here but I will come back for the custard and maybe their other options such as crepes!However, try it for yourself. Friendly staff and very delicious frozen custard.I usually order the half and halfs, which is half shaved ice and half custard. I especially love the custard because of its creaminess. The small size was good enough to share with my girlfriend

So Ive came here a few times. The first time I was blown away by the taste and thought it was a neat place. Since then Ive brought several people, also their first time here. It wasnt until I overheard other ppl saying that Wednesdays they do buy 1 get 1 free during certain times. I was there with someone and was charged full price for two small while other ppl behind me got theirs for free. She should have mentioned it. Unfortunately I dont think Ill be coming around anymore.

OMG this place is amazing! I LOVE SHAVED ICE! in the davis heat, this is a great spot to cool down and refresh. The twix shaved ice with custard is to die for! If you ask for extra custard in the middle you will be sure not to run out by the bottom! Totally go here for something cold esp if your sick of traditional ice cream. Plus they have games! Great chillout spot.
