Safeway is over and above one of the best stores to shop ... No matter where you go. The employees are awesome and a lot of there work there for a long time.I travel a lot and I can always count in great service with great prices.Ok, once in a while... I will meet an employee who might have had a long day...But once in a while... I do too and then I met an employee who helps make it better.Be nice to them... They work their b*tts off.Thank you SAFEWAY for building a healthy environment for your team

It was cool cuz parking was close.had to get some flowers for the vet doc. In folsom..she was very nice and staff for my passing of my Daisy in labor.Surgen did the very best anyone could do just neede to show appreciation for devotion and the flower dept. Good variety of stores. Next to highway exit.

I went to pick up some egg rolls and Peking Pork from the deli. Both delicious. We shop here frequently to get fresh fruits, vegetables, milk and French Bread, always good quality. Our main grocery is a military commissary, but its at a distance and this our main local grocery. I like the fruit bowls and the mixed veg dip selections which I buy when we see our sons family. When we get back to normal socializing I will buy them for bigger partys. Hopefully soon. Got our vaccines, YEAH!

Neighborhood strip mall. Anchors are Safeway and CVS. Also, several other businesses: sandwich shop, veterinary clinic (fairly new tenant), Asian tea shop, Peets Coffee, Noahs Bagels, Jamba Juice, Sees Candies, Dos Coyotes, Big 5 Sports, a pool supply business and Jacks Urban Eats. I think that there is a pizza restaurant in that mall as well. So, you can visit there for a number of errands.

Standard strip mall outside the Davis campus. We went to the large CVS they have there.

Lots of stores you can easily walk to from the neighboring apartments! Decent restaurant choices, grocery store, pharmacy, nail and haircut place, veterinarian.

Love the vegan brand they have here!

Good for members but not for general public

Cleanliness is a high priority, the staff are helpful and check out is quick, in most cases. There is a good variety of gluten free products.

Its a market so not much to say. I do like the location and the product placement. Easy to locate your items. I do prefer the Safeways in Davis then in the Pacific Northwest. In Washington its hard to find items or assistance without an attitude. Good experience here in Davis.

Tried to get a deli sandwich 🥪 and some of the basic condiments they were out such as lettuce and bread 🍞, but if you are located inside of a grocery store then why cant these items somehow be transferred over to the deli 🤔

Still having problem with self check out. Clerk was not sure where the chinese noodles were in store. Found them on mu own.

People in the reviews are confusing Safeway with the actual Marketplace Plaza itself. If you want to review Safeway, do so on the Safeway page. The plaza is a really bright and clean place and a hub for all things essential. I would appreciate them marking the floors as one-way in the parking lot so people would know not to turn into the wrong way. The plaza can get pretty busy during the day and hard to find parking. But since the college students have left during the pandemic and summer times, theres lots of parking. Some stores here come and go frequently but Safeway is here to stay.

Well kept center. Nice variety of tenant. Convenient to grab a bite to eat and hit up the market for essentials. Tricky parking lot for large vehicles however.

Still one of the best Safeways around. From the beginning they have been this way. And I do mean from the beginning. I used to ride my dirt bike in the lot where the building is now.

It is an ordinary shopping mall. The typical supermarket, pharmacy and a few eateries. Nothing bad and nothing special.

Market place has just about anything you would need. CVS, Safeway, Food spots, Goodwill, PetSmart, Big5 ect!

Always fresh things available and $5 deals are awsome.

Meh....kinda the vibe here. You want something? Get it yourself. Cant find it? Keep looking, plenty of food there to keep you goin....

Place is rad, best shopping center in davis, love the dos coyotes, the jamba, the Noahs bagels and the dancing pigs rock!!!!

Safeway is the go to place if you need groceries. Meat department...bakery...deli..and bank inside. Nummy coffee and great meat prices on certain days of the week. The store is small and busy with long but quick lines.

Great little shopping center. Theres a Safeway, Panda Express, Jacks Urban Eats, Noahs Bagels, Big 5, Togos, Dos Coyotes and more. The parking spots are a little on the small side but unless youre driving a truck it shouldnt be an issue and even then its just a little tight. Be prepared to drive around a bit and find a parking spot during peak ours for me the hardest time has be around noon on a weekend or around 5pm on a weekday.

Despite the challenging parking lot the marketplace has some great restaurants solid stores and has been consistently vibrant since it opened. Probably time for a little bit of a refresh to secure some sort of new exciting tenant

Very disappointed with the birthday cake I ordered. I asked for aqua blue border and they made it pink. Secondly, the picture on the cake did not stick well and didnt look good at all.I am not ready to recommend the bakery in that Safeway store.

The store has all the selection that I want and it has long hours so that I can go shopping when its not crowded.

A nice full shopping center. Several restaurants and cafes. All very casual so a perfect place to go for lunch. Everything is very clean and family friend like most of Davis. The only reason for 4 stars is the parking lot engineering could be better. It can feel cramped during peak times.

Fancy Safeways that has a full bakery and items for sale that you dont find in smaller Safeway stores. Parking available with an elevator to take you to the ground floor.

Like all Safeway stores, but this one is very clean and well stocked.

Nice clean store with good selection and decent prices. The only thing that makes me shop elsewhere is the fact that they rarely have enough cashers. I picked up stuff and endeded up leaving the cart and driving to a place further, but thats just me. Otherwise the vegies are fresh and people are helfull.

Support a great local market. Cant find something? Ask and they will special order it for you. Great customer service.

If you want to shop and take a great sandwich home for dinner Togos is just 2 doors down they are the best in Davis

This Safeway always seems to be out of something I want: garlic, tags for the bulk foods so you can write the item number down... and this was just in the past month. But they do sell food in general.

Great shopping center in north Davis . Easy access to parking and a number of stores to choose from. Lots of college students shop here. There are a number of UCD student apartments in the area; Fountain Circle Townhomes and Almondwood Apartments to name a couple.The anchor tennant is Safeway Supermarkets. Another big retailer is Big 5 Sporting Goods. There are also a number of restaurants. Choose from pizza, sandwiches, tex mex, bagels, and more.

I only have one problem the CVS there the few times that I had prescriptions sent there it had taken such a long time to get them and they just were not very personable
