LKQ is a well put together place with respectable and respectful employees. They answered all my questions being that I was a first-time customer. What I did not like is that I went there for a very simple part, if you can call it a part. I went there for the cover to the spare tire thats in the trunk of my car. What I found was that someone had taken that cover out and used it to lay on the ground so that they would not get their clothes dirty while they were taking parts from another car. What they failed to realize is that every car that comes in there and every part that is on a car is just that, a part of a car that someone may come looking for. In my case, it seemed like a simple part that no one would want, but in fact I just purchased a used car and the spare tire cover was all messed up and I wanted a better looking spare tire cover. Actually the cover also enables you to put cases of water in your trunk or laundry in your trunk or whatever. I just think some people should have more respect. If you want to lay on the ground bring a tarp with you, they only cost $1 at Dollar tree....... But dont use the parts of one car to benefit you while youre looking at another car. It also takes money away from LKQ.
Clean place, and its nice to pick ur own parts and its cheap.
This is my first time going here and I went a little bit later than I expected so when I got there the guys you got 15 minutes. So he handed me a printout of the vehicle I was looking for I dont went outside it was really easy to find about five of them and get the first that I needed M back to the counter in plenty of time. The prices are awesome there as well I will definitely be going back pretty soon
The yard was huge with a good variety of vehicles. It was easy to access most of them and they were all blocked up with wheels. Many of the vehicles havent been picked over very much. The admission fee is $3 per person.
$3.00 admission idk but a least they let you pull your own parts
Nice and clean and very respectful people I would recommend anyone who needs good cheap parts to go
Very slow services all the time. Their better location then this one. Very clean and well organized.
I didnt find what I was looking for but I always have a great time at LKQ.
Clean junkyard that isnt a junkyard. Its a well managed recycling facility where the vehicles are cycled through the yard. Seems the trucks get picked over fast. Glad they have email alerts for the models I need. Hint: kids and sandals are not welcome. They wont sell Jacks or airbags.
I sold a car and was given no hassle no providence no complaints just a check and an exit greeting. All in all a pleasant experience.
Nice big place easy to find parts. all the cars are separated by make an model. And its a Big place nicr
The scrapyard was a scrapyard. Nothing particular different here however they do hold their cars for very long, which is very convenient if you need a specific part. However the prices are about double as the scrap yard I usually go to. LKQs are everywhere which is nice if you need to trade in a piece elsewhere.
Its a place that has almost every model car and yearyou can find just about whatever part that you need the folks that work there are very kind and generous and you can meet a lot of folks there too
Great place to find obscure car parts cheap
New manager there is more interested in the $3 admission than selling parts. If they would split up and move the cars around so Chryslers and stuff werent 5 mi from the office it would be nice
The most neatest, organized salvage yard i ever seen 2 thumbs up
Got some good parts cheaper than other places nearby.
Rip off. The counter help attempts to charge you for a useless warranty on each part.THIS IS NOT REQUIREDThey will try to make everything twice as expensive.Ask to see the screen before you pay, don’t let them say no, if they do drop everything you got in the checkout area floor and walk out.
Very Organized And The Staff Was Pleasant Knowledgeable And Courteous Looking Forward To Doing Future Business
Good selection of cars to pick from. Friendly staff.
The website says this location closes at 6pm and that is not true. If you arent in the yard before 5pm you dont get in.When I questioned about the website stating this location closes at 6p,the guy working the counter said No,the employees go home at 6.If you pay to go into the yard and cant get your part off,you are out the $4.00.Lastly the employees are rude and most of them no 0 about parts and depend on a computer for knowledge. Stay classy.
It was easy to take a part off clean in the inside the workers was kind and polite.i will be back
Come wearing gym or hard shoes as they will not let you enter wearing Nike Slides or Flip Flops you will be wasting your time.
Great place friendly employees. Many cars and parts to choice from.
Great place all parts easy to access clean organized cheap
Only scrapyard left where you can pull your own parts. Great selection especially for anything General Motors.
Guy at counter had no customer service skills at all. Told him I was new and he expected me to know everything about the rules...idiot
They are getting more organized than before.
Love this place I plan to go back often
Was lil confusing till I figured out theyre rows n where to find row n car from my receipt
Never been here but I visited online and they seem to have everything I needed
I come here frequently to get parts use I have a good experience but one time in particular I found a set of four really good tires and matching rims that would fit my truck so I walked one of the tires all the way up from the back of the lot inside to ask the price on it I was given a price of $150 for all four tires I thought that was a great price so I said OK I’ll take them I spent the next 45 minutes walking each tire up individually to the checkout and when I was checking out another woman I guess she was higher up came over and said no that price is wrong it’s gonna be $250... I said that you told me 150 and I just spent an hour bring these up she said I’m I’m sorry that’s not my fault if you needless to say I go other places don’t want them will put them in our scrap
Accusing people when they didnt do nothing wrong
Decent parts can work on customer service.
Its a great place to find parts got on google to bring up lkq in Dayton ohio and seen it said temporary closed its been a couple months since ive been there why are the closed something happen ?
I go here for all my hard to find or expensive parts
Staff rocks for the most part the online inventory is spot on. Most people so respect when it comes to parts theyve removed so the next person can grab what they need. Prices are pretty dang good. Every so often it doesnt match the web site but its ok prices do very from state to state. Definitely will keep getti g my salvaged parts from here.
Great place for car parts. Clean operation, as clean as a junk yard can be be run. Friendly staff. Descent prices. Great ever changing inventory that is indexed on their website and well organized.
Its my favorite place to go. If youre stressed you can take it out on junk cars and they have always had what I need.
Nice ppl
They will give you a quote, then when they get there they will try to only give you about a third of what they quoted . They are rude and the lady is rude . My friend used them and and had same experience. They dont give you the best offer in dayton, call around folks
Always good place to find great usedparts
Pay 4 bucks to go in the lot, bring your own tools to pull your parts. Bring back your pulled parts.... pay and go. For me worked out great, for the parts I bought was reasonably priced.
Its heaven for real men
Very organized and nice people work there
Very good. Organized, database on vehicle locations were accurate, decent prices
I would come here every day if I could just to look around of course I would definitely buy everything I needed for both my Ford Rangers cuz they definitely have enough Rangers stuff thanks for being there LKQ I appreciate it
Very nice friendly people
First time having to junk a car and I got a great price for my vehicle. Carmax was only willing to give me $300 for it but I got $465 for it here. Definitely will use them again.
Its the place to go to get everything you need.
You can find all the car parts you need with a wheel barrel and$3
Lots of vehicles get there before 4pm, they stop letting people in after 4:30 and close at 5pm
For those that dont know, this is one of the largest pull-your-part salvage yards in the entire country, right here in Dayton. My old Dakota loves this place, and they give great pricing. First time there I wasnt sure about the entrance fee, but quickly realized that its well worth it. Unlike other places where you might turn up empty handed, this place is so big theres nothing you cant find. Not to mention how clean the vehicles seem to be. At other places you recoil at the moss and mold, but here you can crawl up inside 90% of the vehicles without a second thought. Idk why that is, maybe their ability to clear out vehicles that sit too long who knows. If you need a part, go here first. Ive gotten great speakers, new bumpers, headlights and headlight bulbs, latches, plugs, and a stereo before. Stereo didnt work and they refunded my money when I brought it back. Go here is like an adult field trip.
You know.what to expect if you shop here often
Not friendly but did get what I needed thanks to nobody but me . They could have asked what I was looking for and pointed me in the right direction
Very good place
Anything u need for your car or truck at cheap prices
Lots of cars but never ever what I need.Still a good place though.
If you need parts for your car this would be my first choice. No gimmicks or tricks just fair pricing on used parts you pull.
Great place to find used parts
Had all the parts I needed to get my Toyota up and running
Good part for cheap price and very organized
Always good prices
Price of parts are very very high compare to others auto junkyards. Also the employees are not friendly and are not ready to assist you.
It was good nice place
Employees are very respectful and kind they have the best prices around Ive been going to LKQ since they open the doors I live roughly 30 to 40 minutes away from it I have wrecking yards close to me but I would rather go to LKQ for the best prices and the atmosphere other customers are very helpful if you forgot a tool we help each other out I recommend it to anyone that has one close
I used to love coming here looking for all the parts for my cars...but over the last couple years Ive felt that this place is getting to be a bit outside my budget..i get that a company needs to make money but at what cost...i spent 2hrs finding then extracting the part my kid needed to find out it was gonna cost40 even tho autozone had a new one for 10 more!!!
First time going to a LKQ and was pleasantly surprised. Place was pretty busy. Didnt really know what to do but was easy enough. Pay $3 per person sign your name and get a wheelbarrow to haul your tools. Person at the counter knew where to look for a Ford explorer. Got the part I needed at a price I liked. Saved the day for a part I couldnt find anywhere else. Not sure why some of the reviews say the people were rude who worked at the place.
Always find what I need.
All good
I have now been charged the price of an autozone or advanced 3 times now.. there is no checks and balances for the employees seems like they do whatever they want and I know for a fact they charge whatever they want to charge..its either they are stealing or just has no clue what the part is either way I took parts off the car to just leave them. BEWARE!!!
Great place to get buy parts for wt u may drive ...old an new parts...Great customer service
Great yard and the people up front are nice
Nice staff. Made ur I knew where I was going.
Ive been to this place 4 or 5 times the first 2 were good i felt i was treated and charged fairly given the fact i had to pull parts myself (id rather pullem myself personally) but the last 2 times i cant say id return bc not only did i feel unwelcome i felt like the cashier was overcharging me and being smart about it
It was good. Found one thing for my truck.
Would have gave 5 stars but just about every wheelbarrow is broken so if getting a lot or big parts you are forced to use bent and broken carts
Dangerous work in the hot sun but I found the import car parts I needed. Be ready for a long walk carrying heavy tools and dirty hands.
Great selection of parts, and good prices. As you pull your own parts here, you wont be stuck with the one some junk yards want you to buy. But, watch out for shady employees. WATCH YOUR CREDIT CARDS! Oh and if you need to make a return, be ready to be accused of theft. Even if you have your receipt and you used a credit card and have electronic proof of purchase. Sounds like a made up story? Well, I would think that, too. But it happened. How? Purchased hub caps for an 03 Camry. Turned out my missing hub cap was under the trunk carpet and I didnt need it. The woman at the register insisted that it was a wheel cover, not a hub cap. Even though it was marked with the part marking paint they use! So, they wanted to take the part back without giving a refund, since I didnt pay for it. WTF? According to their website, hub caps/wheel covers/whatever you feel like calling it are a non-returnable item. She couldve just said that instead of making accusations of theft.Secondly, my credit card got billed twice for one bumper. Called LKQ, they saw I only purchased one, but couldnt cancel the duplicate charge unless I was there in person. Had to call the bank, and they took care of it. All this happened on the same day, so lets hope this was a one time incident.
They have parts for older japanese made vehicles you those hard to find parts.
Nice place friendly people needs hand cleaner at a couple places would be nice
Great staff and good prices
The price is right, listing for my car, very helpful to follow, find it
Great selection, awesome prices
My nephew picked a part off of a car for my car in 15 mins and we were ready to go. Pricing was okay.
This place is amazing, the staff is very helpful and nice. Im here almost every weekend! If you visit please be respectful to the cars as other people may need stuff after you, dont destroy things if you can avoid it.
It is very big. One of the best organised junkyards that i have ever been to. Huge selection of vehicles. Friendly staff members that greet you as you enter the door. For a first visit i did not feel like just any ole person walking in off the street. The smiles and attitudes made for a very friendly atmosphere.
Needed an alternator and a new one was 200 bucks, this yard was open on a Sunday and i work alot so these hours are awesome, did i mention my alternator was only 27bucks here and the yard was super clean and easy to locate your parts, they even print out a list for you .. I love this place and will be buying all my parts from here from now on ... They also have a website you can look for your parts before going there
The $2 entry fee was unexpected, but understandable. The cars are laid out by manufacturer (though I saw a couple misfiled).I got a front seat for my car for $26 (the loaner wheelbarrow was very helpful!), and they didnt even charge me for the AC adjustment knobs I grabbed--they are supposed to be $2 each, but they said it was too much of a hassle to charge for them that close to closing. Another junkyard quoted me $50 just for one of the knobs.Definitely recommended if you have a need for replacement parts that dont have to be new.
Cutsomer service is not a priority. To be clear, the folks working at this location were great, but you cant call ahead and reach anyone locally. Instead, you can only reach someone in a call center with minimal knowledge of auto repair. I was quoted a general price for parts like the one I was looking for. I drove 45 min only to find that they dont have what Im looking for. Like not even close. The guy just shook his head and said they dont have anything that new, so at least I saved the $3 charge to get into the yard. Seems like something that could have easily been answered over the phone and saved me an hour and a half before driving.
Self service clean salvage yard. Bring your own tools. You pull your own parts. Reasonable prices. gravel lot. all the cars are lifted in the air on doubled up welded rims. they got engine pulley systems also wheel barrows for carrying parts.
