A few years ago the former owner surprised me when he said he had sold the business and was retiring. He knew I was upset. its so hard to find a mechanic you can trust and I was with him for years . He said he handpicked the new owners and I shouldnt worry . I am on a tight budget and I am single raising my two Godsons without anyones help since they were 5 and 8 . Dave kept his promise . Josh and his staff have been just as Godsend as Dave was . My Honda was at a dealership recently and The price tag was going to be 2OOO . I am trying to keep my older ford going for my oldest Godson who just turned 16 . They had it for aging problems. When I told Josh what they wanted to fix what I thought a dealership had to do he told me to get it out of there right away and he came up with a much cheaper solution and has saved me a ton of money. I will never take cars to anyone else again . He also keeps that old Ford going for my 16 year old . I cant say enough good things about who Dave sold his respectable business to . Rest In Peace Dave !! Your business is in good hands .

My starter went out in the parking lot of the grocery store and I got it towed here. They werent able to get to it before the end of the day - I got there around 3 and I think they leave at 5:00 - but he gave me a loaner for the weekend and it was done by 9:30 on Monday. They forgot to also do an oil change that I had requested but got it done super quickly - all told it was done by 12:30. Im just passing through here but I would recommend them to anyone local. It seems like a solid place of business.

Very pleased with the service here! My air conditioning went out in my Volvo, and they got me in the same day I called, and it was fixed within a couple days (they had to wait for the part to come in). I don’t always trust people with my Volvo, but I trusted them and got the car back with the a/c working amazing! Very friendly, communicated well and did not up charge me. Great work!

I’m very impressed with DARE! They replaced my breaks and rotors and changed my oil. The personnel is really easy to work with. Everyone I came in contact with, from the owner to the tech, was very knowledgeable and professional. It was clear they wanted to make sure my car was fixed properly and in a very timely manner.I would recommend DARE to anyone looking for honesty and quality.

I was a huge fan of Dare under the previous owner and did not realize it had been sold until I scheduled some work. I figured I would give them a try. I had them change the oil and do a brake change. I was exceptionally disappointed that they vastly overfilled my oil. I will find out later tonight when I have to manually drain it and change the crush washer again, but I think it may be at least a half quart over if not more. I think they just dumped all the oil I provided without measuring it. This seemed very unprofessional to not even measure the correct amount or check oil levels after filling. This can cause engine damage and is considered just as bad as low oil. After so many years, Im sad to say I will be going elsewhere.

Customer service was excellent as usual. They are under new managment as well.I came in for a reoccurring issue for my car. The mechanics were top notch, explained everything that was wrong in laymans terms so I could understand what was the issue. I checked competing auto mechanics and DARE charged the cheapest for labor around town.The part that was needed arrived promptly and they were able to work on the car immediately. I was able to use their rental car which was very helpful.I would recommend them to anyone!

What a place to take your care. From the start when you walk in the door you are greeted like family. The service on your vehicle is just the same they take care of your car like its their own. These guys are top notch. I went in today for a used car inspection for a vehicle Im selling and was afraid theyd give me a long useless list of stuff that doesnt need fixed like alot of mechanics do.They were honest and transparent about the actual few small issues and even offered me to go out to the garage for the guy who worked on it to show me exactly what he said needed addressed. Great service, great price and fast turn around. I took my car to other shops for an issue I was having and they could not figure out what the problem was. D.A.R.E was able to find the problem and fix it without just throwing parts on the car hoping that it would solve the problem.

I have been taking my cars to Dare for 10+ years. They are always fair and honest and have very fair pricing. They understand all makes and models. Even something like a check engine light. Some dealers state that they can fix every make however can only reset the check engine light and not tell you what is wrong. Dare can fix the problem!Keep your car running at its best by going to Dare Automotive. I promise you go once you will keep going back.

Took our car in for an oil change and service and had great customer service. Well be bringing our cars here in the future.

Let down to say the least. Came to this place strictly because I heard some good things about it. Had a timing chain replaced and in order to do that you have to remove the water pump. So I got a new water pump and new timing chain that way they could put on a new water pump since they were taking the old one off anyway. They quoted me $400 for the labor which I agreed. I asked them to look at a few other things but not to do any work without talking to me first because I was on a limited budget. Two and a half days later they had finished. When I went to pick up my vehicle I was surprised that they had took it upon themselves to do extra work that we had never discussed making my total $500 instead of 4. They took it upon themselves to do a radiator flush but yet said they only did 5 quarts of fluid which my vehicle is a 15 quart capacity so they did not do but one third of the system. Not to mention charged me $35 for 5 quarts. Which is way out there on price. Not in the mood to argue I said fine and paid it. I picked it up right before they closed and by the time I drove to my house which is in the center of town so less than 5 miles the vehicle was making all types of noise sounded like metal grinding and when you rev the engine up the motor would vibrate and make grinding noises as if it wanted to jump out of the car. So the next day I took it back and explained my concerns I could not believe the cavalier attitude that they had with me about it. Prior to taking it to dare I had no noise no ticking no grinding no nothing everything was in working order only got timing chain replaced because truck had 200,000 miles. I told them that the loud squealing sound was not there before and explain to them how very dissatisfied I was. He then tells me that its just a little belt chirp I was floored on how he acted like I was dumb because I was angry that things were happening now AFTER I had taken it there for repair it also had developed a new issue with high RPM grinding in the pedal as well as a very loud ticking noise as if water is leaking onto Hot exhaust when you turn the motor off. None of these problems existed until they worked on it. I told them the ticking when you turn the key off was something that had never happened before in all the years Ive owned it. Dave nicely told me not to worry about it it was just the motor being hot which of course was complete BS because it does it anytime you start it and turn it off. So assuming that he would look out for me a little bit on pricing I agree to have them fix the belt issue and the grinding issue which was coming from the fan. To replace the fan is a 15-minute job it literally just unscrews after paying $500 he decided to charge me $70 in labor for 15 minutes worth of unscrewing a fan. Then charged me 35 to replace the belt which is easy as doing the fan. So $628 later which is just the labor cost mine you... I got a timing chain that works. But now I have a wild erratic ticking sound when you turn the motor off. A a sound that did not exist not ever before I took it there. I also had to redo the radiator flush myself because they did not get enough air out of the line so my heater did not work. In short this is the typical garage that takes advantage of naive people who think they are getting treated so well because they dont know any better...

This shop is absolutely horrible. Not only did this shop drop my truck on their lift breaking my truck’s sidestep and denting the roof from jacking it so hard, they failed to notify me until I was picking it up after they had installed a brand new transfer case..that was in October 2018, a short 4 months later my truck is continuing to have the same problems. After calling them and relaying what is happening they refuse to have me bring my truck back. Their reasoning was because they were afraid my truck would fall off their lift again..I have a GMC Sierra 2500hd, not the largest truck but definitely not the smallest so I’m not sure how something like that can fall off. After going to a different shop it was discovered that DARE AUTOMOTIVE hadn’t even put all the bolts back in on the brand new transfer case..NO BOLTS. And now they have left me on my own, not willing to help with the necessary repairs needed or willing to stand behind their own work. An absolute disgrace and should be avoided.EDIT: Dare had me bring my truck in but couldn’t do anything to help because they couldn’t figure it out..now my whole transmission is out, down a work truck and all these problems started occuring after the first time I trusted this shop
