A great place to get lumber, millwork, cabinets etc etc. Big box doesnt have anything on them

DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE. We scheduled an appointment and showed up only to find out that the two ladies that were there already were booked and they didn’t even know we were coming. They tried to squeeze us in before their “real clients” got there. They literally spent 10 minutes with us and then left once their clients got there.I put on my online appointment request that I was looking for an estimate and that were were in the really early stages. We really needed help with estimating price to see if our budget was in the right place. The woman took a 5 second look at our diagram and told us that our budget was too low and pretty much wrote us off from then on out. Didn’t even ask for measurements (as we have a small kitchen that looks large on paper). We looked at 1 cabinet color and a few countertop choices, were asked for measurements and then left alone. We looked around the store for a bit but then felt like we were just getting in the way of the “real clients”.Very upsetting as we are young and new to the remodel process and we’re very hopeful that this company would be kind and caring as it came highly recommended by contractors and friends.

We have always had a great experience buying from Requarth. Recently we made these two farmhouse tables from kits they sold us. Perfect for our barn and turned out great! A few years ago my husband bought cedar there to make our long-lasting chick-shaw. Great place, helpful people.

This place is not the cheapest in town when it comes to materials but their material is the highest quality in the area.Their staff that works the counter and the guys that run the lumber yard are always very helpful and friendly they are also very knowledgeable and answer any questions I might have.This is the only place I will buy lumber from because I know my customers will get the highest quality material.Thank you for providing my company with quality materials.

Great place to do business best selection of lumber in the Dayton area

Requarth is home after home, best guys ever working the yard taking so much pride in their work, and the place it self thats where you go for wood, art and design.

Tried several places to locate a solid brass lock set for a Anderson storm door. After being disappointed at several big box home improvement stores. REQUARTH Lumber is a long respected name in the Dayton, Ohio, so I called them. They did not have the part in house but immediately ordered it and gave me the arrival date. Happily the lock is installed and my neighbor can sell her home !

They supposedly ordered some deck boards for me but after 3 weeks I found out they were never ordered.

Requarth is a city of Dayton icon. A great place to go if you are performing restoration work on a old home, or if you just want to upgrade your kitchen. Requarth has a very professional and knowledgeable sales staff to assist your design needs.

I hear great things about this place. I needed a French door. They came out and measured it. I didnt hear from them for a couple weeks. I called and they would get back to me. Month or two later I still didnt hear back. Went with another local company. Ill still try to use them for other services.

These guys will bend over backwards for the customer! I cannot give this business enough praise! Honest, treats customers with respect, helpful, and should be the role model for how Miami Valley businesses should be run!I am a homeowner who needed a special order. There was no ahem or bad attitude towards me. The salespeople were honest and the wood I received was so great, that I would gladly use their services again and recommend them for any woodwork that need to be done!I have not used their remodelling services, only their woodworking expertise.

We were contacted by Alan Pippenger, President of Requart Lumber who explained the issues they had been having with the cabinet vendor, and why our cabinets were not too good. The offer was made to remedy any issues we were experiencing and they would send a crew out to get things corrected for us.Just being contacted and offered a sincere apology showed they truly cared about the customer. It was unfortunate for use that our contractor (W.E. Bilbrey) did not have the same ethics and regard for their customer.Thank you for the contact and if we see the need we will contact Requarth to get these cabinets looking as they should.

Wonderful customer service

The deck outside of the rear of our home was installed by the previous homeowner back in the mid-90s. It was the first-generation composite decking and nothing was wrong with it other than it was aged and needed a facelift. I worked with Brian and he set me up with the TimberTech boards I needed to replace the old boards. He gave me the idea of using multiple colors, so I chose Antigua Gold, Antigua Palm, and Espresso. The multiple colors placed in a random pattern looks awesome! Luckily, the weather cooperated shortly before New Years Eve and I was able to get the job done for our party to bring in the New Year. The people at Requarth Lumber were very helpful with my purchase of new composite boards and I will definitely go back for some more projects in the future.

When I stop by, its usually to rummage through the cutoffs bin for my hobby woodworking projects, but everyone is always helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! The cutoffs bin usually has more than enough large pieces for me to incorporate into various projects at very reasonable prices, which is fantastic for someone like me, just starting out and without much of a budget.My only complaint is that the bin was moved from the main showroom area to one of the storage warehouses which requires calling back and waiting until someone is available to help me, so I dont have enough time during my lunches to stop in and pick up pieces anymore and they close before Im off work in the evening, and then I feel like Im inconveniencing whoever has to watch over me as I pick through the pile. I understand why it would be set up this way, but its made it difficult for me to buy anything in a long time.

Best wood in Dayton

We had shopped at a number of cabinet stores, looked at drawings and priced out several layouts, but hadnt been able to settle on a style and layout. We stopped in Requarth and met Jeff. He had some great ideas on layout that we hadnt seen before, and was obviously very knowledgeable about the cabinet business. We liked the atmosphere of their showroom, with an example of pretty much anything we wanted to see. Having seen a few pricings, we were very pleased with the final cost and look of the remodel. The follow-up has been excellent, and they were with us throughout the process. I would highly recommend taking a look at what Requarth has to offer!

This company is first class. Paul Kemna has been designing kitchens for over 28 years. He has a solid reputation in the Dayton area. He is fair and honest with everyone he works with and his designs are exceptional.

They have wood no one else in town has.

Very nice and helpful

I like the people there for the most part. But the lumber they sent me for my front wrap around porch this past fall was terrible. They simply sent me the crooked stuff that was left on the pile that everybody else sent back. I could not use 30% of it. I had to run to another yard to pick up additional materials while the crew continued to work. I was so extremely disappointed and financially put out that I can never work with them again. I thought they were supposed to be different than Home Depot or Lowes, but they are no different. We called about the issue and they really did not care. It is a real shame.
