This stores employees are all helpful and friendly. I had 4 keys made, and all 4 work perfectly. I also found 2 cool books called Ohio Legends by Jeff Wilson that I bought and look like interesting reads.

I always try a shop this store rather than the big box store. But I’ll never shop here again. I don’t believe in wearing masks. I had the virus and I give blood because I have the antibodies. Mask don’t work. I got the virus when I always wore a mask. Some old “manager” told me to pull my mask up. It’s not his place to tell me how to wear any let alone a mask. They are lucky I even had one on. They don’t have to worry about how I wear my mask ever again since I’ll never shop there again.

Needed a jigsaw blade. Got better ones for a better price than at other store. Love the community stores better than the big ones. Friendly atmosphere!

I would not go here! Walking in without a mask and rudely stopping me saying I can’t enter and need to turn around before even finding out that I have a medical condition where I can’t wear one! They are old, rude and sheep! Standing around with mask off their face talking to each other but stopping me the way he did is unacceptable! I will never go here again and I’m going to let everyone know that I know as well! Stop going here and maybe before they shut down they will start being a little bit more nice....

Never again will I shop here again. Wore a mask to the store and while we were in line I lowered it to reply to employee. Older gentlemen Owner literally comes up to me in line starts telling me to tell his grandmother its ok to lower my mask. At that point I lost my cool. It is not ok to talk to customers who are following all state laws like this. Ill gladly send anyone the video of him poking my camera and flipping me off in the parking lot as well.

This is a typical small hardware store. Not like the bigger get lost all day to find one item store. They are a very friendly and knowledgeable staff always willing to help. I will definitely be returning to this location.

Just left ace Ive chose 2 shop there for years.Im in there at least once r twice a week. Im a decorator and Im always busy tearing something apart and rebuilding it.Stopped in this time 2 grab drill bits and paint.I cant wear mask its never been a issue. I was in a couple of days ago with no mask. Today I walk in no mask. A lady steps in front of me ( who is a store employee)....and demands I put a mask on. I said I cant wear a mask. I explained to her my situation . Still she got in front of me prohibiting me from getting what I need. I will never shop there again. FOR GODS SAKE WE LIVE IN AMERICA 🇺🇸...We choose 2 shop small businesses like ace instead of the larger stores. Seriously is this who were now. Bullying and acting like a Hitler society?

Went to buy shutoff valve they wanted 14.99 home Depot was 6.95 I try to shop local but dont like being ripped off.

The last of its kind they have just about anything you could want and knowledgeable staff to help you find it. Not like Lowes and the other big box stores who have gotten rid of their guides and are happy to let you wander aimlessly around in search of what you’re looking for……..

I have been going to this store for many years and everyone is great at helping me to find what I need; and what I need for just about anything. They are 100% Honest, Friendly, etcand you get a bag of popcorn as well. There is only one other store that is almost as nice as this store and it is not a hardware store. - Sam S. Vandalia

Selection doesnt match the big box stores, of course, but is still pretty good. The high point of this place is the customer service. Unlike Lowes or Home Depot, everyone in here really knows their stuff. If you have a project but need advice, this is the place to go.

North Dixie Hardware has the most helpful and knowledgeable people, and its smaller size, compared to Lowes and Home Depot, makes getting what you need easier and faster. Even though it is smaller, they usually have what you need for common apartment/house issues and maintenance tools and supplies.

I wanted to let you know that Butch at the Do It Best Hardware on North Dixie Drive in Vandalia, Ohio was very rude and inconsiderate to my wife and I on April 2nd 2015. We went in the store to purchase various items at 7:45. At around 7:50, I ask if he would be able to make a cut on a threaded screw. He said back to me, I can, but I am not going to stay over to do it for you. I thought that was very rude and I will not be coming back to that store ever again. I go there for the customer service and I have never been treated so poorly!
