The food here was great! It was the first time that I tried Venezuelan food and it was an extremely pleasant experience! Sara, was extremely helpful! She helped me with her menu suggestions and she was also extremely nice!
Do yourself a favor and order a CACHAPA DE QUESO. Weve tasted cachapas from different restaurants and this is hands down the winner. The tequeños are also very good, as well as the arepas. The Reina Pepiada arepa and Friti cheese arepa are also excellent choices 🫓Our server (Andrea) was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This place also has outside seating and a terrace upstairs.
Lots of 5 star reviews but I thought this place was waaaay overpriced. $31 for 2 arepas, (one was vegitarian) a smoothie and a coke. They were good but the arepa could have been cooked a little more on the flat top to give better texture. The smoothie was great. Unfortunately for us avid diners, there are too many other options in the area to come back. Didnt make it upstairs but maybe the view helps offset the shock of the bill.
Our first time going was amazing.Staff was friendly and food was made very quickly.Food was DELICIOUS. The soft venezuelan cheese is amazing, and i would probably get it again because it was so so good.I gave 4 stars because when we went only canned soda and bottled water were the drink options, and the second time we went we had empanadas and they were not good at all. However, our first meals were top notch.
Delicious and authentic. The tequeños were an absolute treat and the arepas were messy but fantastic! There is a rooftop patio that felt safer to eat in than many other restaurants in the area that dont have the same accomodations.Huge compliment to the server/cashier/man behind the counter for taking all the orders, serving everyone, and having to do it going up and down all those steps.
The food was fabulous! We had fresh passion fruit and strawberry juice, tequenos, and three kinds of empanadas, all of it was delicious. The restaurant was clean and the staff wore masks. Definitely check them out, Sara will provide friendly and fast service.
We came across this place by happy accident. We were trying to go to the Mexican restaurant a couple doors down that we love to visit when in Daytona but they were open yet and while riding away noticed this little gem. Moving from South Florida to North Florida myself, I would long for the summer events in Miami and the Arepa Queen vendors so occasionally my husband will buy them in the grocery store and make them for me but these were authentic and amazingly delicious. Now the biggest problem we will have is where to visit when we are in Daytona!
Delicious food and amazing service! My husband and I have eaten here multiple times and each time we try a new item. I am Venezuelan and this is a slice of home. Definitely recommend! We also enlisted their services to get appetizers for a beach wedding. Cesar was fantastic through the process coming up with a customized menu package for us. Unfortunately, we had to cancel due to Covid-19 just 3 days before the event. Cesar and his team were super understanding and worked with us to cancel the portions of the order that were not ready.Cant wait to stop by again when we are back in Daytona!
Great food and customer service, I loved the areas and empanadas, everything was so fresh and delicious, definitely will come back.
As tourists, we always search the reviews for the area restaurants, or walk the area to see what is there that will catch our attention. The latter was our case with this restaurant. We walked Beach Street admiring the historic downtown and checking out the restaurants. Then we found this restaurant and walked in just to check the menu, however we were greeted so warmly as we were regular customers. I am familiar with arepas so I wanted to try the ones here. All the food items we ordered were tasty and well made. The most popular in Venezuela, they told us, was the Arepa Pabellón so we ordered that one. What a treat, especially with the sweet plantains inside. We also ordered the empanaditas, which come in an order of 5, and you can order different fillings for each one (choice of cheese and potato, chicken, or shredded beef). We ordered the cachapa, and even though it is not meant to be a dessert, it is sweet enough to make an interesting dessert. It is delicious: soft sweet corn “tortilla” stuffed with a Venezuelan cheese, Mano cheese, soft and fresh. The establishment is small, however there is an upstairs, with a nice patio with views of the river. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very affordable. The offer beer! It is a family owned restaurant, with all the various members of the family working the different positions. We enjoyed this restaurant so much, plus wanted to support a new and local family business, that we went there 4 days in a row, when different friends visited us during our stay in Daytona.
Staff was very friendly and food was absolutely delicious! 😋
Great place. One of the only places open for food on Sundays in the area. We had a couple things to-go and everything was excellent. The service was good as well.
Loved thier empanadas. Had a sandwich with slow roasted pork and beef that was yummy too. Glad to have some new tasty food on beach street.
Friendly staff. Super delicious food. Fairly priced
My husband and I have been waiting anxiously for Arepita Beach to open. Today was our 1st opportunity to stop by; we did take-out. We ordered the Yuquita Surf, Arepita Santa Rita, Arepita Pabellon, and an Arepita Beach with Pork/Egg, and 2 maltas. These were so delicious, that my husband thought he was visting Venezuela again. Welcome this new restaurant to the community and go visit... the arepas a really good! And they have an outdoor area on the 2nd floor to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather too!
Awesome food. Cheese Tequeňos, Arepas, rice, fried chicken. Cute little place. Second floor has awesome view. Good food. 👍 Please open one in Palm Coast.
I went in to get a coffee and saw something that grabbed my attention. I placed my order, the guy told me the price and I paid and that was it. He didn’t say anything about the wait and walked away so I had to ask how long. I went to wait in the car, then realized I could at least get my two lattes and drink them in the car. I went in and the same guy didn’t acknowledge me and once again asked him is there anyway I can get my lattes while I wait for my food? He said no they have to make it. I was thinking to myself okay that’s weird so I left. When my order was ready, the lattes were cold. I went in and told the guy who then tells me yes because it was ready before your food. I was quiet and when the girl gave me the new lattes, she said “I’m sorry it’s that you left after you ordered your food (as she walked away) and I said, “ I did come in to get my lattes while I waited”, but she didn’t even care to listen to me. I was a little disappointed because the arepas were not that great at all. It just killed a little of my hunger. Sorry for such a long review. I did not like the customer service and once again just a perspective on first impression of the place.
It was aight, very tasty food, friendly staff.
The cachapa is amazing and the views from the rooftop beautiful. The place could definitely use some updating but I encourage you to look past it. The staff are warm and friendly, food is delicious, and view is beautiful.
Arepitas are wonderful. A cornbread pocket with a variety of meat and vegetables along with Venezuelan cheese. Yummy!
An arepa cabimera is hard to find, and this is the only place I have found that have this Venezuelan specialty from the state of Zulia. I can say that the combination takes me back to my roots and I definitely can recommend this place, the rooftop restaurant and the whole menu. They have a large variety of Venezuelan arepas. The meat tostones are awesome as well.
First time ever trying venezuelan food and it was great, even if I couldnt pronounce anything on the menu. The waitress was very helpful with recommendations, and explaining everything to me.
I Truly believe this place is the best! They have the best Venezuelian food Ive tried and from the arepas to the cachapas and else, the portions are tremendous! Great as comfort food or stay home food! Also they are open until 11pm Friday and Saturday and for somebody like me who works night shifts and doesnt want to cook nor order pizza at the end of my work day, this place is my go to solution!Even if youve never tried Venezuelian food Im 100% positive youll love it! The seasoning and the flavors are always on point!
Would give 15 stars if could. They have everything, including crispy authentic arepa :) highly recommend. Staff is very attentive and nice
Wanted to try something new but because I told the man behind the counter I was looking for Mexican food he copped it attitude and walked away instead of explaining what kind of food they serve and educating the customer on the type of food they are serving to their customers. Sorry for him. Hope he doesnt treat all his customers like that.
My husband and my self visited Arepittas on Saturday, for the first time. Not a good experience. Only one person attending the public. IOrder the Beach arepa, and the single Empanadas, for appetizers and we only got one napkin for 2 people.First and last time visiting this place.,
Delicious arepa with beef, plantains, cheese, and black beans. Very good!!
The food was phenomenal! Its nice restaurant with two floors, the top has an outside area that overlooks the river. I had the arepita Santa Rita with the steak and chorizo, and it was amazing. My girlfriend had the arepita pernil (turkey) and that was really good too! Really cant go wrong with any of the menu choices! Will definitely be coming back!
Excellent place! Excellent service and, excellent food! Really recommend this place!
Lovely ambiance on the top floor, small bar with an outdoor area. Arepa was cooked well, packed with a good portion of beef, and topped with queso, beans, and plantains. Only complaint is Mango juice had chunks of fruit and straw would get stuck, but tasted refreshing!
Excellent Venezuela food.
Visited for the first time today. The food was amazing! Very good prices and portions. The waiter was nice, but struggled to keep up with three tables.
Amazing, delicious and super authentic. The tequenos and garlic sauce were to die for, and the arepas were very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nice place great service amazing food... the menu is spectacular so creative and delicious.. the price are phenomenal fully recommended Viva Venezuela....
Good place to get lunch/ dinner... Nice people working there and do a great job. Good food good taste... Ask for punta trasera for lunch...
Great food, decent price. They serve the best mango smoothie Ive ever tasted. Will visit again.
One glance at me and you can tell I don’t have a single Latin person in my lineage. Regardless of all that, arepas and chachapas have become one of my official comfort foods. If I was local, I do believe I’d walk through the doors of Arepita Beach once a week. I guess you could say I HIGHLY recommend you dine here.
Arepas and Empanadas are delicious!! We’ll be back for more soon. Highly recommend Arepita Beach.
The restaurant is clean. The service is fast and friendly. The foods taste great. The portion is generous for the price. Venezuelan food has its own unique flavor and style in comparison to other Latin American foods. Overall, its the best Venezuelan restaurant Ive been to in the States.
Excellent attention, very good food.
Whenever my family and I are craving authentic Venezuelan food, we come here. 5 star
Very attentive staff members with great knowledge of ingredients. We had someone who had allergies with us. However they made us feel great and helped up choose the best food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Florida.
Being a native of Venezuela its hard to find an authentic venezuelan restaurant and Arepita Beach is definitely close to my homeland. Excellent food. Awesome music and beautiful scenery. Thank you Jorge for your hospitality. I will definitely come back!
Fantastic Venezuelan gem in Daytona Beach, located in a convenient location. All the food was deliciously prepared. Great customer service as it should be. Very recommended!
Such a wonderful place to check out its so beautiful ❤️
Wo Brand new place. Great service the employees are so happy to serve you. Food was filling and very tasty. My food was ready in like 10 minutes I highly recommend this blend.
Loved it!! They had everything and more. Delicious. Great customer service. Super satisfied and I will be coming back !!
Such an awesome little eatery! Killer view of the Halifax River upstairs and the food is incredible. You can tell everything is hand made and cooked to order. Definitely a hidden gem on Beach Street!
Definitely one of my favorite places now! Well seasoned FRESH FOOD. The staff are really nice and the second floor seating area has a pretty view of the river! Definitely check it out if youre looking for something different, delicious, and fresh.
Amazing food!! Great atmosphere!! We have been here 4 times already and my family loves this place!! Cesar one of the owners created an amazing menu for everyone to enjoy!!! I need to go back for desserts because I heard they are amazing!!! Great job!!!! And when you go please order the tequeños as an appetizer.. you wont regret it!!!
Definitely a fan of their food. Dont let the appearance fool you. Go in, youll enjoy
I primarily do business with restaurants, at least visit 100 a week, and this place is really refreshing. An authentic concept with some passionate management! If you like Venezuelan Cuisine or looking for something different in general, definitely check these guys out! The place also has an amazing view!!!
COMPLETELY blown away by this place! Every detail perfect: service, food, service, food.... I have never had Venezuelan food, it is now a favorite. Pulled pork on mini corn bread sliders so addicting!
Great new restaurant on Beach Street. The owner Jorge was so pleasant and helpful. Wanted to make sure you enjoyed everything. Which we did! Food is amazing, cooked by Jorges’s Mom. Will definitely be back.
Clean, attentive staff, great food, relaxing, authentic Venezuelan food. Kudos for the management team and the cook!Stop by at any time, you will not be disappointed!
Need a good remodeling and a good hair system. They cook and all smells and heat get to you . Is a litle oven this place that needs a lot of structure improvements but food is to try.
This place was amazing. Came here with a group of 8, and took up half the seating. Being that the group wasnt familiar with most of the items on the menu, the manager was very helpful and polite. we will come back.
The food was so fresh and delicious!!! My picky boyfriend even loved everything!!! He usually doesn’t venture out and try new foods but He was glad that he did!! Highly recommended!!!!! Oh and that view 😍😍😍😍
Highly recommended, excellent food and service
Small place on a lovely strip. You can blink and miss it, but youd be missing out if you did. Their arepas are incredibly delicious and their upstairs patio is a lovely atmosphere. Dont miss it.
Food is great, been there twice. The second time the service was a little slow but I plan on returning.
The food was good and tasty but a little on the pricey side. I got the Arepita Santa Rita which was $9 and was delicious but would have been better if it came with small side like plantains. The arepa was nice and crispy and had good texture. The beef was cooked well and also had good flavor. My wife got the Port Empanaditas for $7.50 which were also pretty tasty. The place has an upstairs with a rooftop section overlooking the street which was cool. They ran out of Sangria which was kind of a bummer.
DELICIOUS food and great pricing. Cant wait to go back and try more
Nice friendly staff, great food, and awesome views from the second floor dining area. Ate here today with my coworkers for the first time and will definitely be going back!
My new favorite spot in Daytona. SUPER good quality. A must try!
Excellent! Very friendly service. First time having Venezuelan food and we will definitely be back for more!🤤
My wife and I went here for her birthday today. There was construction nearby but all the shops are still open. We walk in and theres no one in the store front. Not even employees. There was a cook in the back washing dishes that barely acknowledged us. My wife and I said buenas tardes multiple times but no one greeted us back. We grabbed a menu and sat down for a few minutes expecting the cook to get somebody. Nothing. A phone rings and no one answers it. The cook finally stops washing dishes to go to the office so she can answer her own personal phone, leaving the store phone ringing. My wife and I live right up the street near the marina and we will not be coming back here. My wife is Colombian and just wanted some food that reminded her of home on her birthday. Awful service. Cant even speak of the food because no one took the time to serve us. This store was rightfully empty. Sad thing to see.We made the 45 minute drive to Orlando to get some Colombo-Venezolano food. We were actually served and greeted when we walked in.
Great place, excellent service and Awesome Food! The best arepas in Daytona Beach!
They supose to be open but was closed...
This place is a must on your list! Venezuelan Food at its best! The place is clean and well operated. The food was very tastefully excellent portion, also excellent service Jorge was very helpful and polite.
Twice now I’ve been unsatisfied with my orders. The first time that me and my boyfriend ordered takeout, one of our items was completely cold while the other two were ok. This time my boyfriend ordered two arepas. He ended up confirming twice at the end to ensure our order was correct and we still only got one arepa.
The Arepita Pabellon is absolutely delicious!!!! i hope this hidden gem survives the social distance hit we are all expiriencing. tasty food at good price!!
It’s great
La reina (arepa) with a papellon(drink) is life. Dont be afraid to grab an appetizer while you enjoy the view
Good food! Great view!
PabellonMmmmi just taste today is so good
Service was great, attentive and very welcoming. I had the arepa Reina and a cheese arepa. Both were delicious and full of flavor. Being raised from Miami its a true reminder of home. The patio outside in the upstairs is also a lovely view worth going up the stairs.
Awesome place. Excellent service. The food was amazing. Delicious Arepas.
We went to this new Venezuelan place 2 days ago, and I can just say everything was absolutely incredible, service, food and the beautiful view. I love the arepita Santa Rita with steak, and the tequeños, it was all fresh and delicious. 5 star for you guys.
The food is outstanding here and so is the service! Definitely a nice place to come eat and relax.
