I’m sure if they can pop a screen or battery out and replace it while you wait they’re fine and explains the number of 5 star reviews. If they say they have to order parts or send it out to another store take you device and walk out. Shipped off for a week an a half comes back still not right shipped back for another couple weeks. If you’re device needs shipped somewhere send it to manufacturers certified repair center and don’t let these people play swaptronic on it for a month.

I worked here for 10 months was forced to take all of the brunt of all of the customers that sent off their phones for “3-5” days when it is really 3 weeks and if you stand up for yourself at any point your just rude and you’ll get fired they do good repairs but not good people

Do NOT go here, you will end up wasting your time and money. (Most of their positive reviews are fake and made by employees) You Will NOT get a refund if they cant fix your phone. The policy is is just like customer service. Horribly poor, and are a bunch of thiefs!I had taken my phone in to be fixed. They said it was a screen.. I had to wait 3 weeks to get my phone back, and when it came back it was not correct. The screen worked, but had lines still in it. I took it back and asked for a refund, as their policy states if they cant fix it, they dont charge. They refused to reimburse me.I had no choice but to have them fix it again. After 2 weeks more they finally called me after I had to try to contact them for days on End with no reply or call back. They said the same issue was with the screen, and now it was the mother board. That they would have to charge me to fix, and would be the same as a new phone, but wouldnt refund my original payment....Dont let these professional crooks steal your time or money. You will be disappointed. And out a phone for months....

Do not go here. Just go somewhere else. I broke my Samsung Galaxy S21+ screen. They replaced the screen but broke the antenna. ADMITTED to breaking it after going back for a 2nd time after them having it for 2 WEEKS, just to be told there is nothing they can do. They repeatedly said its a carrier issue, and they put their Sim card in and it works. I put mine in, doesnt work. I went to Verizon, and the SIM works just fine. Thiefs & Liars. And obviously I lost $350 over this just so I can pay someone else to fix it.

Awful. Rude. Made an appointment online and then was told that was useless, only the owner has access to that information but he wasn’t there. I could self-check in (even though the guy was right there) but it would now be 3 hours. Which normally wouldn’t be a problem but I made an appointment and even had a confirmation email. It’s a bummer because I’d been here before a few years ago and had an okay experience but this was maddening. Don’t trust whatever the website says.

I took my computer in to be fixed, low and behold, nothing was wrong with it. I love honest businesses. In addition, I tried to give him cash for his time, he wouldnt accept it.

They replaced my power supply for free as part of a Microsoft surface repair that ended up not working out. They are pretty straigh forward with handling repairs.

Very bad customer service. Went in to get a new screen protecter on. The next day I realized it was put on wrong and lopsided. Went back in to get it fixed and the worker started an argument with me and proceeded to lie to my face and tell me he didn’t do it, when I watched him do it the day before. It’s sad how people can’t just own up to their mistakes and fix stuff. I’ve went here for years and never had a problem, until some of their new staff. Wont be going here again.

My phone screen was very cracked and heard they fix screens and you would even get it the same day. Unfortunately, that wasnt the case. I was told I would have to wait 5 days before getting my phone back and then called me and said I had to wait another 5 days. I called many times and no answer. Also,the door showed they are open until 6, but I went in and they closed down two hours early.. Finally, two weeks later, I received my phone. I would never do business with them again because the professionalism is horrible.

Im not sure what his name is but the gentleman that works here with a huge head of curly hair is AMAZING. He was super kind and professional. He went above and beyond for me.

Called the store twice, no answer from them, I show up at the store to ask a question that I was originally trying to ask on the phone after driving all the way across town, to get there and the store lights are on and I looked up online it said they were open till 7 p.m, got up to the door just turning 6 a little after maybe, and the new sign says they close at 6, before I turn around this guys in front of the store from his car says were closed I looked at him assuming he was a worker there and asked if I could ask a quick question related to my home port of my Xbox he had already closed his door and shook his head no, I called a bit after 5:20, so I go there after calling twice with no answer, and get told I cant ask a quick question, Im very upset

Took my daughters iPhone 7 Plus in for a screen replacement. Everything worked fine when I dropped it off. Screen just was cracked. Pick it up the home button won’t work. So a week later get the phone back and home button still won’t work and now the audio won’t plant either and you can’t hear anyone talk when you call. So back tomorrow and I’m either getting a refund or it fixed right. Not happy at all. Avoid this mess if you can

Do I have to give a star? Brought my Xbox in 2020 February, guy working the counter said give me about a month. Had a smaller number of repair workers due to coronavirus. I checked back in with them a month later. Said it had to be shipped and when they get it repaired theyd call me to come pick it up. Waited for a phone call and nothing for another month. Tried to call and no answer multiple times instead of going up to the property myself. Month 4, same excuse, low on help. Now a year later they have recycled it. I understand the change over and RONA but this is unacceptable when it comes to customer service. I brought it in for a reason, willing to pay and now nothing. I do not recommend this place of business unless you as the customer are willing to do the leg work.

I gave imechanic my arcade 1up joystick to repair for me well they had it for 2 weeks until finally I called to see if my joystick was ready and to my shock they told me that I can come get it because it was nothing they could do for it . Mind you now I provided the replacement parts myself all they had to do was put it on they couldn’t even do that. Now on top of that when I received my part back it was not in the condition that it was when I gave it to them. They had cut more wires and did not put them back like they was when I gave it to them so when I inquired about this everybody played dumb and no one knew how my other wires had been cut. Now I would advise that if you do give them something to repair please don’t forget to take pictures of your merchandise before you give it to them and after they give it back. JUST POOR SERVICE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

The people were very understanding and did their job well. They were very calm and fixed the phone in under an hour. They charge very low and do a very good job. Most definitely recommend to visit them.

I thought I had a short in my charger port or a battery issue. Went through 3 chargers trying to keep a charge, without holding it at an angle. I got my charger port cleaned and it completely fixed my problem! Took 2 minutes tops. SO THANKFUL! Great service, listened and took care of the issue so fast. I’ll definitely be back 10/10 recommend

Went in for a battery replacement, they broke my Face ID and my screen went black 3 days later. Then they had the AUDACITY to try to charge me for an additional screen fix when I went back.

BEWARE: I had my phone screen replaced last year and took it back because the screen cracked and they DO NOT honor the replacement or repair of the screen if it is cracked. Their warranty only covers the functionality of the screen. It is not covered if cracked. I do not recommend this buisness.

Great customer service. Broke my brand new iPhone 11 on accident and at&t told me I damaged the hardware and would need to replace it with a new phone. IMechanic told me I didn’t damage hardware and fixed everything for a reasonable price and even threw in a free screen protector.

The best repair shop in town they are ran by a better manager now and they are much more professional. Also with how covid is I don’t have to worry about talking to anyone since I was checked in remotely!

Please note that batteries are NOT warranted for life as I was told originally by a person who is no longer there. But this time only, they honored what I was told. And that still keeps them 5 star as far as I am concerned.

Worst purchasing experience of my life that it literally took me a year to calm down enough to write this review. If I could have given 1/10th of one star, I would. I find the $800+ price tag for a new phone to be absurd, so I thought I would try a used iphone. I am not exaggerating when I say that it took 3 MONTHS to get me an iphone that actually worked. I first visited the store June 22nd and it took until September 17th before I had an acceptable product to work with. We went through several phones that each had some problem with it. One didnt work with Verizon (which was sold me to before asking which carrier I even used; this is something that should be entirely obvious to ask about first), one had a broken GPS module so I could not navigate anywhere as the phone did not know where it was. I had to deal with this for WEEKS before they could find another phone to sell me. One had a microphone problem that no matter the volume on the phone, people I was talking to sounded as if they were whispering. One had a battery that wouldnt hold a charge longer than an hour or two. By the time I obtained a working phone, the 3 month guarantee had nearly run out. I asked for an extension for another 3 months as the problem was certainly on their end. I was assured I would be emailed confirmation of this extension, but that e-mail never came. After a few months of the working phone, it stopped dictating while texting and the camera broke. I am not exaggerating when I say I probably went into that store AT LEAST 10 times and made 20+ phone calls before I obtained a phone that worked only for a short time. I had to call them SO MANY times because they failed to contact me when they said they would. No customer service has ever upset me more. With all of the time I wasted in there, I would have been so much better off spending $800+ on a new phone. I would not recommend this store to ANYONE.

My phone needed a new screen. I brought it in a Monday, they had to order a screen and told me it would ready by Friday at the latest. On Wednesday they told me they ordered the wrong screen and I wouldnt be ready until Monday. I was out of town until the following Wednesday at which point I visited and was told it still wasnt ready. For all the inconvenience I got $15 off. The screen replacement works great, customer service was lacking.

This is hands down one of the vest places to get your phone fixed in Decatur. 100% would recommend.

Terrible service. They fixed my cracked screen on my XS at $185 with a new screen protector (crack was in bottom right corner). When I picked it up my Face ID was no longer working. Took it back they said if the Face ID broke during repair there is no replacing it or fixing it. Like, no you broke it. You fix it. I left it there AGAIN for them to look at it. They told me to come back in two hours, so I did. When I came back they hadn’t even touched my phone, saying “the box didn’t notify us there was something in it”THEENNN I get home and my screen starts going in and out, and my phone calls are being problematic now.Never will I return to this store again.

Lousy customer service!!!! Worse than lousy.....i wouldnt wven five 1 star but could not leave a review otherwise! I was told i would receive a call in a couple of hours..... didnt happen! 3 days later and me calling back....no call backs no communication whatsoever! I called to notify i would be picking up my phone in 30 min ....my husband arrived and their machine told him to come back in 45 min; Im on lunch. It was 5pm! Never go back here....couldnt callus back ......never looked at the phone. What a bunch of losers!!! Nnnn

Staff is very knowledgeable and polite. Took about 1/2 hour to fix my problem- loved the time frame. Works & looks like a brand new phone- way way cheaper than a new phone, too! Will definitely go back.

I literally would not give this store a one store except the only way to write a review is to leave at least one. I took my Macbook Air into this shop in March 2020 to have it repaired. At this time, the Macbook was still powering on and you could hear the machine working, but the screen was black. I pick it up finally today, July 13, 2020 after being told they couldnt repair it and not only does it not power on at all it doesnt even charge. During these 5 months and a couple of weeks the only communication was when I initiated it, they never called to communicate the delays in repair nor that there were issues repairing the device. I was told when I first checked on the device in April that they were just waiting on parts which were delayed due to COVID which was understandable. Then when I called in May I was told that they believed something was wrong with the motherboard (which how this happened when the device was working except for the screen when I took it in is beyond me), but I was told that they were going to figure it out and that there would be no extra charge. Fast forward to the third week in June and I was transferred to a non-local store where a manager began crying about how he had to take over the store and he really didnt know what was going on with my device or at the store but that they wouldnt be repairing my device and that they were about to junk it. Again, no calls although he did state they tried calling in April. He stated that he had to have the device shipped back and that it would take a week. 3 weeks went by and no call so I called today and was told I could pick the device up and he wasnt sure about the communication issues. No apologies were issued, no breakdown about what was done to the device, nothing. I just received my Macbook back in worse condition than when I took it in. I will be contacting a lawyer to see if I can at least sue them to replace the device or for the cost of getting it repaired elsewhere as we all know Macbooks are not cheap and this is unacceptable. What makes the matter worse is that no apology was ever issued and this new manager sounded as though he could careless, in fact he treated me as if I was bothering him for wanting the device back because who cares right. I did purchase another Macbook in between the time it took for them to not repair my device, but that does not make up for their lack of communication and customer service. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone at this point just ship your device off.

My iPhone screen went black and I thought I was going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new phone — exactly one month after I’d finally gotten my current one paid off. But I thought I’d give iMechanic a try first. It was near closing on a Saturday, but he was able to fix it quickly. Friendly, quality service, and way cheaper than a new phone.

Very reasonably priced, nice shop. The people were friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my iPhone 6 antennae. The one negative was that they had to order a part for the specific issue I was having (they said it was a less common issue) and it took a week for the part to arrive. The shipping wasn’t there fault and they did what they could. I would still recommend Joe and his team to any of my friends.

What an awesome organization! I took my IPhone in for repair and it was an A+ experience. They were friendly, polite and understood my problem. I got to meet their in-house robot and my IPhone is now back in my hands, looking and behaving like a brand new one! Wonderful experience!

My son’s phone got water in it this summer while out boating. I had read reviews and decided to stop into iMechanic to see what they thought they could do. Casey was extremely kind and helpful! I left the phone and within 10 mins she had called to tell me about the problem. She had it fixed and the total was much more reasonable then another place I had taken it for an estimate. I will definitely use them again if we need anything fixed!

We dropped my wifes phone off this morning to get a new screen replaced on my wifes iphone. It was done extremely quickly by Casey and the staff there was so friendly and knowledgeable! Im extremely impressed with them and will continue using their services!

Very bad customer service...took phone in for a broken charge port, was told they could order the part and get the part within 2 to 3 days and it would take an hour to fix the phone, called them over a week later because I never received a call saying the part was in and she told me yeah it’s in go ahead and bring the phone in,so I go there drop off the phone she told me to call in a couple of hours in case they get busy and forget to call me once it’s finished, so I wait a couple hours call them and she tells me that they had ordered the wrong part so the whole time I’m thinking my phone is getting fixed they didn’t even have the decency to call me and tell me that they had the wrong part which should’ve been figured out as soon as they started working on it,so I go pick up my phone she tells me a few more days we will have the right part so I called every three days for a couple weeks finally the part was in and again no call saying that it was in so again, I take my phone and drop it off to get fixed she calls me 30 minutes later telling me that they do not do soldering at the location that it needs to be shipped to corporate so she said I’m boxing it up right now getting it ready, shipping it to corporate I’ll call you in 1 to 2 days and let you know the progress, so a week goes by without hearing from them so I call them to check on the phone and she tells me that the guy never showed up and I’m like what are you talking about, last I heard from you you were sending my phone to corporate and u was waiting to get it back well then she says well we decided to just have him come here since it would be easier when the last thing I knew was she was boxing it up as we spoke,anyways she’s waiting on the guy to come there and fix it, we was having inclement weather so i thought a few days is understandable Igave her a few more days than what she originally told me and I called them and asked them if the guy ever showed up to fix it she said no,I said do you know when it will be and she didn’t know she offered for me to come get phone and the part and find someone else to fix it so I called around with no luck so I gave the guy a couple more days to show up to fix the phone it never happened, then I called to tell her that I’m wanting a refund and she said somebody already called with your number earlier didn’t they pass along the message which I hadn’t called for a couple days so I don’t know what that was about anyways I go to pick up my phone exactly one month later and get a refund Only to find out that they only have $60 in the store and they can’t give me my refund this was on a Friday so I waited till the following Monday finally got my refund will never ever do business with them again and encourage anyone the same they are very unprofessional and the girl is very unfriendly bad customer service skills!! bad communication!!

Verizon referred me to iMechanic for an issue with my iPhone that they were unable to fix. Joe helped me resolve the issue. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service! Definitely recommend doing business here.

Can’t say or recommend mechanic enough. Took my phone that was causing me issues and Joe was extremely patient with all my questions and help fix my issues. He must have have spent a good 45 minutes helping me with my phone problems and didn’t even charge me, the customer service was outstanding and I have had no issues since. I had an iPhone that was disabled and I could not get iTunes to work!!!! I brought it to Imechanic and they fixed it and I was out the door in 15 minutes!!! Staff was extremely professional!!! I will def be doing more business with them in the future!!!

Dropped off a MacBook model from 2009 over a month ago to have fan cables resoldered to the motherboard which required a special piece. I have yet to open the back to see how that was done.....The keyboard was supposed to be fixed, as there are keys that aren’t responding. I gave them a bag filled with parts that wasn’t returned when my father picked up the computer yesterday afternoon. I don’t ever leave critiques of businesses but this was a bit over the top. On the bright side my laptop was given to my father at no charge?! Suspicious..........I think so. Hopefully I’ll get my keyboard pieces back so I can use my own time to repair this model myself. My computer now has no audio as well as the option to select external speakers for output or uncheck the mute box. Settings were changed and I’m going to check coding history as I’m feeling very uneasy about this as this was a hardware issue that required no use of my software! Perhaps I’m completely in the wrong and s iMechanic employee may enlighten me.................

Terrible! We start by going in and the first word we hear is n***a. Playing unclean rap from the speakers and I think ok just one little flaw. He comes out and looks t my phone says ok give me a hour and then we’ll come call you and tell you to come get it. We wait for a hour and a half no call. We go there on our own and it’s ready but different guys. One comes up and asks what your passcode. I tell him. He says ohhhh that’s it I tried to unlock your phone to make sure the screen was working. He told me he had gotten it disabled for a minute . So they give me my phone back we pay and then I notice I have no case. I came in with one and I almost get without it. Why do you need to take off a case for a screen replacement? Not the best but then I get in my car and my Touch ID doesn’t work now when the guy asked does your Touch ID work I say yeah he says ok. Not impressed!

I went there with a situation of not being able to access my phone my passcode I had complete forgotten, I had already went to apple which was no help but this super cool guy Austin in there helped me so much he’s great! Took some time but he fixed it.

I would not take my phone to be fixed by this con man. The owner has a lengthy criminal history...he WILL get into your phone and get your personal info and take you for all you have!! Not only has he done this game in Illinois he has also been convicted in Arizona

No one is at the store for more than a hour a day. So technically they are open but no one is there to help or service any needs. Same day repairs are a out of the question. Unreliable and unprofessional.
