I had a very positive experience at Lickteig Family Eyecare. I’m relatively new to Boston, and visiting a new eyecare facility after going to the same one for seven years left me a little nervous. However, my experience here was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everyone was friendly and professional and there was no wait time whatsoever when I arrived for my appointment. I saw Dr. Erin Lord and she is an absolute rockstar! She was very thorough in addressing all of my concerns and also very kind and compassionate, which I sincerely appreciated.

The doctor was great, she did everything she possibly could to make sure I was comfortable and I appreciate that she took extra time to check my eyes a little more due to my condition. The only thing about the experience that was tedious was the wait before being seen but that is as expected when going to the eye doctor so overall it was a great experience.

My exam was great, but the only reason why I did not give 5 stars is that I was waiting for 20 minutes in the exam room before being seen by the doctor. I feel that this is a very long waiting period.

Good exam and people.However, as a Sr. you really need to figure out a way to provide bathroom access to patients! The bladder and coffee have a hard time with an 11/2hr visit! At least warn everyon that there are not facilities so they can go before the appt.

Josh was excellent ~ very professional ~ he explained the tests that were being done and why. The equipment was cleaned before and after my tests, so I felt safe.

I had an excellent experience. It was my first time in and i was leery about an eye practice at a big eyeglasses chain. I was really great. Everything including cost was explained up front and then exactly as explained. My doctor (dr. Lord) was incredibly pleasant and professional. They also provided no pressure to fill the Rx at the chain, although i probably will since the prices on frames were pretty good. Got me right in and right out with 2 Rx for glasses and lenses and a clean bill of health on my eyes. Just great.

Dr. Lickteig and his staff are the best. I was able to get my appointment for an eye examination within a week, at a time that worked for me. Done easily online! I was not kept waiting for more than a few minutes. Everyone I met with in the office was courteous and professional. I have come here for my eye exams and glasses for several years now. I have always been impressed by the quality of the service and the modern equipment that they use. My recent visit was because of a disturbing eye symptom, and after reviewing my tests Dr. Lord provided a very reassuring explanation and path forward. I will definitely be returning here.

All of the doctors there are very kind and attentive. I tried many different varieties of contact lenses before we finally decided on the appropriate ones. They were very patient throughout the entire process, and I received the most thorough eye exam I have ever had to date. My entire family is using them now, we had a great experience.

Visited yesterday to pick up contact lenses and place an additional order for a 6 month supply. I was met by a very unfriendly receptionist. She was extremely cold and unapproachable. I had initially spoken to a very friendly person on the phone, which clearly was not who I met. As I completed my order, she exhibited absolutely no manners. I would recommend additional training for her. Hopefully she was not a manager. Shameful. 👎

The only reason I keep using this business is because Dr. Jennifer Wei in the natick mall location is an absolute professional and the best doctor I have ever dealt with. If she opened a private practice, I would follow her there. The technicians are so incredibly rude and don’t bother leaving a message because nobody will ever call you back. Lickteig eye care handles customers like they are doing you a favor lending their time to you. My dentist appointments are more appealing than going to get my eyes checked and that’s saying something.

Amazing contact lens fitting experience for my son Jacob today! Dr Lickteig was thorough, patient, and answered EVERY question asked of him by my 10 year old son (relevant or not). My son had the most ENJOYABLE experience getting fitted for his therapeutic gas permeable contact lenses - and could not wait to share with his friends how easy the entire process was. Of course its easy when you are at the hands of an AMAZING instructor like Dr Lickteig!!
