We went to Pro-Tech to get get our car checked out for the ABS system.They got it repaired quickly. Previously we went to the dealership and they said they could not fix it until March 2022. Besides that, the dealership came up with a long list of repairs. PRO-TECH checked those repairs out and we were told that they were not needed. Rod at pro-Tech was very professional, fair priced, and repaired our vehicle in a reasonable time period. I will return there for any repairs I may need in the future.

Had water coming in front sides windshield area. Front seats soaked. Previous service center told me the skylight would did need to come out and whatever the job was go be, it was to be expensive. My new provider here cleaned out some dirty tracks that keep the water from coming into the car. Seemed an easy & economical fix and I’m happy to say it’s all good again

I had talk to 4 to 5 shops how they would do transmission filter and WS fluid change. Boy did I get some dog and pony shows. From money to how they would do the work. Rods shop pro-tech answered all my concerns gathered all the data that was important to me and did a excellent job.There are some good shops out there and there are some that take advantage of you pro-tech was honest and I respect that you should to.Jim

What I thought was a busted transmission turned out to be an electrical & dead solenoid issue. I dropped my truck off in the evening and mechanics at Pro-Tech Automotive had it fixed and ready to go the next day.I’ve been taking all my vehicles to this place for over 20 years and they’ve always been reliable and honest.About 15 years ago I brought in a car and asked for a quote to repair some damage to the engine and the owner told me, “I could take your money but you’re better off getting a newer car.”

I have had some pretty strange stuff happen with my truck but the crew here is always up to the challenge. They have always been upfront with the cost of the repair but when I come to get my vehicle they found a way to save me money even when I was happy with the price.

Very honest and trustworthy. They actually accidentally gave me a false diagnosis, but corrected it immediately with no cost to me. Its not if a mechanic makes a mistake, its if they have the integrity to fix it. These guys do.

1 Star was the minimum I could give them. I stopped while evacuated for the hurricane. Needed a steering shaft changed I had a new dorman shaft in hand, 2 bolts, 15 minute job. They quoted me $220 basically said take it or leave it. They new I was in a bind with my family. So we left and took it to Affordable Auto Repair at 707 Dallas Drive. $50 and fifteen minutes later they had my family safely back on the road.

Been coming here a couple of years now so I can speak about long term customer satisfaction. They treat every customer with respect, and fairness. What I appreciate most is they locate the actual problem and give you a repair price that is always a little less than everyone else in town. Quick turnaround too. Ive never had to leave my car with them more than a day. They have good equipment, are experienced, and know what theyre doing. Two thumbs up.

I took my car to Pro-Tech to find out what was causing an oil leak and low oil pressure reading. I told Rod that I was worried that the car’s oil pump might need to be replaced. After Rod and one of his mechanics examined my car, Rod told me that a gasket was leaking when the car’s engine was running, which was causing the low oil pressure. Rod told me that if I kept a check on the car’s oil level the car should be okay until I had the time to leave the car to be repaired. Rod could have pressured me to have the car repaired immediately, but, thankfully, Rod doesn’t treat his customers that way.

Called on the phone...they said they would work on my truck....i get there they seen i was black and then they told me they couldnt work on it.

First time there and needed service on a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. I usually get a rediculois bill and I’m sure I am overcharged but this time was different!!! Rod went over everything with me and gave me a very reasonable price for the repairs and it drove great when I left. I will definitely be using them as my mechanic going forward, I am very happy that I was referred to them.

Rod always shoots straight when diagnosing a problem with any of my vehicles. His prices are competitive and he delivers in the time frame promised.I returned a few days after the service was completed. Rod answered my question and completed additional diagnostics at no charge.A few weeks after the service, the float which monitors fuel level stopped working. Rod explained that the warranty on the new fuel pump which Pro-Tech installed covered the float. The repair was completed at no cost to me.I highly recommend Pro-Tech. Honest, fast no pressure service. I called around looking for a repair for an oil pressure switch after I was told my extended warranty would not cover it. Pro-Tech came in less expensive and was able to get me in and out the same day. This was great because its our family mini van so being without it would have made getting around with two kids a little less comfortable. The staff was upfront and honest and did not pressure me into getting anything else done. I will keep them saved for my next repair need when the time comes. Highly recommend based off my recent experience with them.

I took my car in for alignment, I was concerned about my brake fluid leaking. Steve, the mechanic explained I needed a brake master cylinder replacement, did not have to do immediately, but I would need to keep filling my brake fluids, I opted to get repairs done, Andy searched for my part ( old Van 99 ) - he found the part - delivered overnight and my van was repaired in a bit less than an hour. I highly recommend this company, I will be back for repairs on other vehicles my husband and I own . Located off Loop 288 south side -behind Taco Bell, please give them a try, you won’t be sorry!

I had taken my car to another mechanic, and they diagnose a leaking air compressor costing $1,700. Then I took it to Pro Tech Automotive, and they said that the air compressor was fine, that it just needed a relay costing $100. This place is honest and know what theyre doing!!!

Needed to replace 2 studs in my front wheel. I got quoted $450 at a another place. $200 for the parts plus 2 hours of labor. As a poor college student that price was way too high for me, so I called Pro-tech and they got the job done in 30 minutes for $50. Highly recommend this place.

Went in for a brake issue and they fixed that promptly and looked over the whole vehicle and found another issue with a front upper control arm that was serious and that I hadn’t noticed yet. A good shop helps to keep you and your vehicle out of trouble and that’s exactly what Tod and his team do for you!
