I had my husband’s old Scwhinn bike restored at Velo Republic and I could not have asked for a better experience. I drove from Dallas to Denton because Velo Republic had such amazing reviews and they did not disappoint! I didn’t know exactly what I wanted when I brought the bike in and they helped walk me through the options and the costs associated with each option. It was a longer process due to distributors not having certain bike parts in stock, but they gave me the part details and I was able to find some I liked through eBay and Facebook marketplace. I actually had fun working with them to get the bike restored when it could have easily been a stressful experience. 100% recommend Velo Republic!!

This is the only Salsa dealer that actually had a Vaya in the size I wanted. I bought it. These guys are super cool and willing to work with you in whatever you need. I just wish they were a little closer to the metroplex. Still, well worth the drive if you want excellent customer service.

Cool dudes with cool bikes. I wanted to get a new chain for my bmx bike. So the technican responsible for the installation of the chain also gave the bike a once over and made adjustments and tightened any lose hardware on the bicycle. Thank you dudes.

Gave them a shot for the first time on a Mongoose mountain bike my wife acquired. She just wanted 2 new tubes and a tune up, but was a little nervous since we arent serious bike people. They treated her great and gave this little bike a great tune up. Very pleased with the service and work and yall will be our go to bicycle shop moving forward.

Due to the COVID shutdown, so many people have been buying up bikes everywhere and Im sure its so much crazier behind the scenes. First time visit was nothing short of excellent. Had the entry level bike I was looking at in stock whereas many competitor retailers keep high-end and high-profit margin bikes which are not to my liking. I am based in Plano and this was well worth the 30-35 minute drive. Gave me a fair price. Passion and love for bicycles is oozing out of this shop. I hope they continue to succeed in business because I would want to definitely keep coming back. The owner treated me with the utmost care and heart.

I moved to the area more than a year ago, and my road bike has been collecting dust and cobwebs in my garage since the move. I pulled it out and brought to the team at Velo. They had me road worthy in no time and fixed issues that other shops overlooked before my move. My bike runs better than it has in many years. I found this fantastic place just by chance while looking for bikes online. After a phone conversation with them I decided to drive over 250 miles from Louisiana to buy a bike from them and Im glad I did.I didnt look at any of their reviews before I made the trip, but feeling compelled to give them one afterwards Im not surprised by what I see.If I were a business owner I would contract these guys out to teach my employees what customer service truly is. It was a the best buying experience Ive had.

This review is a long overdue.To preface this, it takes something special to get me to write a review.Simply put, Velo Republic is the only place I would go to with anything bicycle related. Whether you are new to the scene or a seasoned cyclist this place will take care of you. These guys know what they are doing. If they dont have an answer, they find it. If they dont have what you want, they get it. I have personally had the privilege to get to know most of the guys there and they are all top notch people. Each one of them are there for you, not as a customer but as a person. I could rant and rave about this place all day long, but I would highly recommend stopping by. I wont let anyone else work on my FELT bikes!

Bought a new bike from amazon to use as help for knee rehab and the young man told me to tune up everything it would be about $40 on the phone. Stopped by there and a young fellow came out to see it, took it inside for a few adjustments, and loaded it back up for me in a few minutes. Didn’t charge me and showed me how to operate the gears. Awesome kid!!! Great PR and I’ll use them for now on. Will also spread the word!!!

I cannot express how awesome these guys are. I had a lot of repair work needed on my vintage World Touring Schwinn and no way to get it there. Casey came and got it, even brought me a loaner. Got it back, the bike has never ran so smooth, and the low repair costs surprised me. Ive never even been to the shop, but that doesnt matter. Best bike shop around.

Super helpful, friendly, and knowledgable people at Velo Republic! I am a bike commuter and popped into the shop one afternoon on my way home with a few problems- one serious. Gab (I think thats his name) made time for me and systematically addressed and fixed my several issues (spoke issues, cable problems, etc) and speedily sent me on my way. What a difference it made to me. Great atmosphere with people who really care about cycling. I am sold.

Ive seen them give the same attention to anyone whether theyre a seasoned racer or a first time buyer.They were also more than patient with me when it came to shopping for my cross bike. Finally a great bike shop in Denton! My husband and I went in to check it out the other day and left with a new bike. Everyone in the shop is friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Im not a newb but definitely not a super experienced rider, but never felt talked down to or ignored (which happens a lot in higher-end bike shops). So happy to have a top-notch shop in town.

Awesome experience the few times Ive been in the shop. Ive had a chance to speak with the owner Gabe for a short time, he was super helpfull and got my bike working again in no time. He even stayed late and replaced my tube, before they went on there shop ride! Elliot was helping find the right size bike for my girlfriend, and was super patient with us and explained everything super well. This bike shop is top notch, so is the customer service. Ive been to a few shops around Denton/DFW and this one was by far the best service ive had. I wont take my bikes anywhere else. Thanks again guys!

I took my Specialized Globe commuter bike to Velo Republic because the drivetrain was worn out after constant use since I bought it new in 2008. They replaced the crankset, chain, cassette, derailleur, freehub body, brakepads, and cable and housing for a very reasonable price. It rides like a new bike. Gabe and Nic and their team do great work. Its easy to ride to at a central Denton location.

Velo Republic has set a new standard for bicycle shops in Denton, TX. Long-awaited, cyclists of all levels now have a shop where we can take our rides to be promptly serviced by expert mechanics in a friendly environment. I personally used to drive all the way to Flower Mound to get my bikes serviced. If you still havent given Velo Republic a try, stop driving miles and miles and check it out. Velo Republics owner Gabe Aguilar is one of the top mechanics in the DFW metroplex, and store manager Nic Bagherpour one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable bike geeks around.

VR was the last bike shop I checked in Denton, and to be honest I (and my wife) already had made our mind to buy our bikes from another shop. But I gave it a shot and they changed my mind! Originally I wanted to by a Trek for commuting, but VR guys showed us Cannondale Quick 6 and we both loved it. The bike is smooth, quick (literally), sturdy, and nice! The VR dudes are very friendly and professional. They explained everything about the bike and let us spin them outside. They give us a lifetime free tune up service which is absolutely necessary and useful thing (believe me, if you ride your bike everyday, youre gonna need that service frequently). We bought two Quick 6 and they gave us 10% off the bike price on top of the 10% off of all accessories. Finally, they brought my bike to our place with their van for free! Not that other bike shops in Denton are not good, but I absolutely recommend Velo Republic.
