Large brewery space with ambience, couches and games. Their beer options are fun, and quite diverse. The staff is also friendly. I recommend their Quad (which is not something that I see often at local DFW breweries) and their Honey Please with a Cherry On Top. I would love to visit again, next time Im in Denton.

Collection of board games in a corner with super cozy couches.Loved the spacing of tables and it may be one of the most instagramable places in the area.

Excellent brews! Probably the best craft brewer in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. Authentic German-style beers and a really good selection of all the other weirdness that brewers do. Its a shame you have to drive up to Denton to get the best, but thats how it is. My opinion - the best crafted brews in the DFW area.

Cold coffee was excellent. I was there in the morning and I was only interested in the coffee. The barista/server was professional and very pleasant.I will make an effort to return in the future.

The beers were all very good I tried most of them everyone was friendly The atmosphere was very relaxed family-oriented people were in there playing games theres no food so people were bringing food in from other restaurants I had a nice evening

It was a cool joint but they require masks. It’s the first time in months that has happened. I will go back when they stop the mask madness.

Went to hear a local band on Friday night. Always a good local beer selection. Not a big crowd. Parking was sufficient. The smell from the trashcans on a hot night wasnt conducive to sitting outside.

I’ve had about every beer they’ve had in the taproom and pretty much all of it is delicious. It has a great atmosphere as well. They usually have some good seasonal options that are only sold in the taproom. Overall a fun experience

What a fantastic place!!! My wife and I stopped in for a beer while passing through Denton. The facility is really nice, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. They offer both indoor and outdoor patio seating, and free Wi-Fi.The staff was also very friendly and personable. The beer is about as good as I have EVER tasted (and Ive tasted plenty!). It was so good, we bought a couple 6-packs to go! Oh yeah, they sell coffee drinks too. They dont sell any food, but they encourage you to bring your own in. Im told they have food trucks from time to time, but not while we were there.Stop by - you wont be disappointed!

Had a couple of Cosmic Yachts - Very crisp, nice level of galaxy hops. On the other end of the spectrum, I tried the OG Imperial Golden Stout - wasnt as heavy as I like. The week night scene was very relaxed and I like the big open space with the rustic picnic table seating.

I’m so glad this awesome brewery is open in the heart of Denton! The beer is fantastic, with something for everyone. The chill atmosphere offers spacious indoor seating for hot Texas summer days, while the patio will be perfect for crisp fall evenings. Go here. Drink beer.

Good beer and good times! We went on open mic night and heard the local talent there in Denton. The rule was no f bombs in their songs and a limit of 3 per turn. A lot of great singers and the family friendly atmosphere was appreciated. There was a lot of IPA options I went with the other ones. I went with a flight of beers and everything thing I tried was great!

Great spot for instagram able photos, if youre into that. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff is super friendly. Bathrooms are not scary at all and are actually nice! Ive tried several beers but my favorite is the Honey Please. I brought some back to SC and enjoy sharing the wealth with my non-Texan friends.

Great coffee place. Yesterday’s drip coffee was an Ethiopian for $3.00 and it came in this fun presentation. It tasted like perfectly toasted golden brown marshmallows - the kind made by someone who’s parents raised them well. Will be back next time I’m in Denton.

Been here a bunch, great place to enjoy a few drinks in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It’s never suffocatingly busy, like that a lot. The staff is always friendly.The beers are great! Green belt has been a go-to since we first tried it.Also love the fact that it’s local. Good stuff!

My boyfriend and I went to Armadillo Ale Works for the first time a few days ago. Its a quick walk from the Denton downtown Square. The space is open and airy with an industrial feel (concrete floors and high ceilings). The long tables and benches are ideal for groups. They have 8 beers on tap, so you can try them all in two flights (~ $20.00). Our favorites were the Honey Please Mesquite Bean Blonde Ale (for those who like a smooth beer with honey notes) and the Brunch Money Imperial Golden Stout (smooth and coffee flavored). The staff was very friendly and informative about their beers. They also have board games by the bar so that you can entertain yourself while you drink. We will definitely be back again soon!

This place is gorgeous! Had the carbonated tea, (which was a first for me), and it was excellent! Perfectly light and refreshing. The atmosphere here was brilliant, a cool spot to hang out with a large group on the many long, accommodating tables, or just to read a book, and study by yourself! There is outside seating available, although its right next to the train tracks, so I wouldnt recommend reading/studying out there!Great spot, cannot wait to find an excuse to go back again!

This is a wonderful craft brewery. In addition to some excellent beers across different styles, they also serve excellent coffee and root beer, for those who cant or dont want to drink alcohol. Also, their taproom has a leisurely atmosphere and while they dont serve food, they are next to the excellent Boca 31, which serves the best tacos, which you can bring into the taproom, and they also have food trucks stop here every now and then.

Have never had a good experience with the brewery staff here. They’ve always been short, rude and impatient.Regardless of what happened with the coffee shop fiasco I think it’s not a good look to try and push their own coffee shop so soon after the one in that space, which was much beloved to the community. Though it make sense since I’m sure they’re struggling as a small business.If the coffee staff will be anything like the brewery staff I won’t be going here anytime soon.

The most exciting place for beer in Denton. These guys really love beer and yearn to guide its future to something great. Each beer you try feels like your new favorite of its kind. The staff couldnt be nicer or more knowledgeable. Wonderful tours every Saturday, and try the Brunch Money if youre in the mood for a legitimate game changer.

Cool spot and very friendly staff, great outdoor patio and large indoor space. Theres a pretty good sized parking lot and plenty of overflow parking if necessary. The train is incredibly loud when it goes by, especially if youre outside since its near an intersection and the train must blow its horn. I recommend heading inside if you hear the train approaching, as the volume is at a painful level There is one weird thing about Armadillo that different from most bars, the price of the beer is not an even dollar amount since it doesnt include tax. This isnt an issue, just a heads up.Edit: the beer is good too, Im partial to the Land Yacht and Bees Knees!

Been here a couple of times now. I really like the place. Staff is friendly, they let me try several samples before I came to my senses and just ordered some flights.Inside is very open with lots of solid Tavern style tables and benches. I’ve only been there at the slower times but am confident they can accommodate many customers. Bay doors can be opened to the outside seating area - will sit out there when its a little warmer. Kid/family friendly as well. Second time there we brought our kids and played Stat Wars Monopoly for a couple hours.So far my favorite is the Quakertown Stout. Their Sarsparilla (that they make on premise) is very good and a welcome change from general canned sodas as an alternative for my kids.I have not yet but plan on trying the coffee as well. Have heard many great things.I plan on being back often.

My husband goes here almost daily for coffee. Its got a great atmosphere and the owners are wonderful people. We havent been there for beer yet, but if its even half as good as their coffee, then you will not be disappointed.

This brewery is AWESOME. Large space, plenty of parking, free wifi, awesome local art, fantastic food truck that locally sources veggies and of course, fantastic beer! They let me try any beer before choosing and the bartenders are super knowledgeable. Superb service and just a great vibe. I highly recommend adding Armadillo Ale Works to anyones regular rotation for local favorites.

Great spot for work. Lots of tables but only a few plugs along the wall. Grab a spot and wait for someone to leave. Oh when will we have wireless charging from the lights? Lol. Drip coffee is fine, kind of a cute setup but the cups are small (I feel on purpose, so you can pour a “refill” from your mini-carafe). I’m sure I’ll come back when the beer is flowing in the afternoon.

Youve gotta love Armadillo Ale Works. Excellent Kraft Beers that can vary according to Season. Great seating, accommodating USB Ports and Wi-Fi. Coffee is served all day for those that want to work on papers and research in a comfortable environment. Outside seating is plentiful, and Armadillo is very dog friendly making it even more of a destination spot.

Open Mic on Thursday night was a great experience. Denton County Friends of the Family represented. I love them for what they do.

Not a lot of hype around these guys compared to a few breweries that are about the same age but they are making some sneaky good beer. Cosmic Yacht is a really good IPA, the Tropical Sour is solid, and Quakertown has long been one of the best stouts in DFW. The location is an old warehouse or mechanic shop within walking distance to the downtown square and right in the heart of where everyone wants to be in little D. I just wish they had a cool trucker hat for sale to add to my collection.

A brewery that is making a comeback in a big way. Environment is nice and inviting. They serve a great product and are ready to introduce new brews.

Love the beer and the atmosphere. But the changing tables in the bathroom are too high. Makes changing a diaper a difficult task when the changing table is only located in the handicap stall and are chest height instead of waist height.
