This is easily one of the best sandwich places weve ever been to. My lady love and I went here on a whim and we were incredibly pleased. Dave is incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The shop has homemade sauces and most of the ingredients are prepped in-house.Dave is more than willing to make recommendations for which sauces go best with which sandwiches, lets you taste-test the sauces available, and is quite proud of his shop supporting veterans. We enjoyed the food so much that we made an extra stop (2 within 2 days) because we just had to try another of the delicious sandwiches. The shop itself is also a museum to the military, with plenty of models, memorabilia, and photos of the branches of the US military. Dave is also knowledgeable of his military history and even gave a tour of the museum portion of the shop.We would heartily recommend Patriot Sandwich Company to anyone. It has a small town feel in its service, personable and friendly, while still being sure youre satisfied with your food.Absolute 10/10, would recommend, any day. Fantastic sandwich shop!! Cannot stress it enough.
Supports Homeless Veterans and makes a great sandwich! Met the owner and I like his energy! You wont be disappointed, and if you are say something, it will be fixed, the customer service is great!
Amy and David are super nice and the sandwiches are very good! Will definitely be going back to Patriot.
You can miss this place if driving by fast down 288. But a sign out by the street caught my husband attention. So glad we stopped and tried out this place. I have to say, one of the best meatball sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. I got the spicy one, trust me, get that one. It is rather large, so you can get 2 meals out of this sandwich. We met the owner, he was super nice and friendly. He has such a passion for this place, you can tell by his excitement in his voice. What a great way to honor all current military and veterans. We will definitely be back.
Awesome! Hyped to try all the different homemade sauces on the menu. Gotta go back. Fast, friendly, and the food tastes great.
Pretty cool place, but as far as the food is concerned, it’s pretty mid tier for the price. Honestly a place I’ll just forget about.
Dave was pleasant to talk to and said hello. The employee who handled the sandwich had an attitude from the start even though I had been nothing but mild mannered and courteous. [life is what you make it, try to have some fun, smile man!] The sandwich was decent but the attitude of the employee was very off-putting. Hoping from here it is onwards and upwards.
My first time walking in today about 30 minutes before they closed to try this place and immediately the guy behind the counter acted annoyed that I was there and didn’t greet me and instead told me to hold on a sec, I told him it was my first time there and asked if they had tuna and he told me they did not currently and I said okay that’s fine and started looking at the menu only for him to tell me “we close in 15 minutes so yeah..” so I said whatever then and walked off. He tried calling me back and telling me that he only told me that because that’s why they didn’t have tuna, I didn’t believe one second he wanted to serve me while acting visibly annoyed he had to work, I didn’t feel welcome at all, didn’t even try the food the encounter was so upsetting. If you want to be treated like swine or just another nuisance this is the place to go!
Amazing shop!!! I came on my birthday with my veteran and we got to see the GREAT job that David has done with his shop. We drove an hour away and it was WORTH the drive. Thank goodness we came hungry. We loved the memorabilia and the stories behind the vintage patches, pins and awards. We WILL be back!
The owner is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place. Lets support small businesses like this one, instead of the big chains!Their artisan bread is delicious and generous portions of meat and cheese. Location is behind UPS store on 288.
Very good food, place is very clean, and owner is very nice & pleasant! Would recommend!
Helluva sandwich. Got a toasted Flying Leatherneck with zinger sauce. One of the best sandwiches Ive had in a long time. Run by a vet who supports vets. Great all around package. Oh, there are crayons for Jarheads at checkout...got me a green one cause those are the best!
Delicious sandwiches! Friendly owner! I appreciate and love the patriotism and that it is veteran owned. I got the better than an mre sandwich and my husband got the fiery napalm we were both so satisfied with our sandwiches! I loved the sweetness the sidewinder sauce added. We are both excited to come back and try the rest of the menu. This is officially our go to for any sandwich cravings! :) I would have posted a picture of my sandwich but I demolished it within like 5 seconds lol so if that doesnt tell you something I dont know what does.
Owner is super nice. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to see an owner in the thick of it with their employees. Its a snow storm here in Texas, a lot of us have lost power, have no running water and cannot cook meals. It was so nice to find a place open, with a smiling welcoming face. He said if you havent been here before dont judge my shop on this visit please. This is my first visit and you exceeded my expectations.Side note, my parents used to take in homeless people and help them get on their feet. I love to see that a portion of their proceeds go to homeless vets.Thank you for your service, today and in your days in the military.
Great place.. nice owner!! I love the decor!! We will definitely be back!!
Huge sandwich and I got the smaller one! They have a range of sauces for endless combinations. Great guys up there too, had a great chat with them.
Great atmosphere with every military branch recognized. Friendly, personalized service & the food is wonderful too!
We heard about this place several months ago and tried for the first time tonight. Let me tell you, it was good!! Many selections for sandwich types and awesome sauces as well. I got the extra meat option and I was so full after only half the sandwich. We will definitely be eating here again. Veterans hold a special place in my heart so supporting this restaurant is definitely a must!
Today was our first experience eating at Patriot and we absolutely loved it. The sandwiches were fabulous (and huge). We enjoyed getting to know David and plan to be back soon. So happy we found this place!
Great guys. Good sandwiches. Loaded and fresh.
Fantastic atmosphere, absolutely love the attitude, and the concept is on point. Doesnt hurt that the food is delicious.
Delicious! Great bread and very generous portions. We’ll be back.
Subpar meatball sub. Not the most pleasant employee. Cookies were good, though!
Haven’t even tried the sandwich yet! I was ABSOLUTELY SO DISAPPOINTED in the way we were treated as we walked in the store!2 guys behind the counter, one large fella full facial hair and a lean fella! We were the ONLY customers and the lean guy looks up and says nothing, big fella doesn’t look up nor does he say anything either! No music, no sound, no greeting, no customers except myself and husband! My husband GREETS them “hi how are you guys doing today” the big fella says “WE’RE HERE” (again not even looking up)My response was” well maybe we shouldn’t be?”Felt so Unwelcomed that I was ready to walk out and my husband shook his head and we placed our order and left! Service has become really bad in the last year and this was some of the worst. Sadly I’ve formed my opinion about this place and I haven’t even tried the food yet!Heard great things, hence why we went, disagree so far!!!
I had heard wonderful things about this place and wanted to support a local business. I was definitely impressed with the food, I got the meatball sub and it was delicious! All the artifacts in the shop are really fun to look at. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and great customer service. My only concern was that two of the employees in this shop were not adhering to the city mask mandate. As a family that is pretty careful about where we do and dont go, this made me a little nervous, as much as I wanted to support the business. I know there are some health reasons why a person may not be able to wear a mask, so Im hoping that this is the case rather than anyone just ignoring the mandate. (Several customers did not have their masks on while waiting in line, and the line was less than 6 feet away from the tables, but I understand that it can be really hard to police your customers.) We wanted the dine-in experience since the atmosphere was so cool, but if I go here in the future I will probably just pick up to avoid unnecessary exposure for my family, as we have multiple immunocompromised family members.
The sandwiches are awesome there meatball sandwiches are awesome the staff and the owner is very nice highly recommended this place a must try
I love that this helps veterans. The decor inside is really neat and I like to look around when I wait for my food. The staff is friendly and their sandwiches are really good. The overall vibe here is great. I love that you can choose different sauces and its not just the mayo, mustard, etc options.I recommend them!
This place wont disappoint, the food is great, the people are all welcoming, friendly. The owner is just a great guy. He checks to make sure all is good and asks of you need anything while there. My Dad, Husband and I had a great time. Yall really need to go check it out. Great food and great people.
Great sandwich shop! Worth a try!
My son and I visited the restaurant for the first time today. Let me echo what others are saying in that the sandwiches were some of the best Ive had. Its insane how big these sandwiches are. If youre in the mood for a monster sandwich, then you found the right place. Everyone was friendly and food was great. Also, do yourself a favor and order a meatball sub!
We love this place!! We went there on a whim and we are glad we did. We both got the Private meatball and it was sooo good!! The prices and atmosphere were fantastic. We highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back.
Great sandwich for a great cause. Owner is friendly and has a great business concept!
Let me start off by saying that this place has a terrific vibe and the owners enthusiasm is infectious. I felt welcome right away and relived some of my time in the army while talking with the owner. As for the food.... the sandwiches are good and well designed, except for the bread. If you dont get a meatball sandwich, it comes on regular sandwich bread, which quickly disintegrated from the sauce under the weight of the meat. It was delicious, but messy. I recommend that they use a sturdier bread as a foundation for the incredible sandwiches.
This is my new favorite sandwich place...food was great - customer service was excellent. awesome military memorabilia display. definitely will come back (and bring my friends!) when im in the neighborhood. come out and support this veteran owned business. (1sgt us army retired)update: david - check your f/b messages
Not only is the food tasty, but the owner is extremely passionate about his mission to help homeless vets! Give the sandwiches a try and if you have spare charity money looking for a home .... this would be a great place to donate!!!
I did not enjoy the breakfast here. I got biscuits and gravy that were still ice cold. The other two items had no flavor at all. Ill update my review when I try their lunch items at a later date.Edit: After trying their lunch menu, I have to say that I wont be eating from them again. I just got partially frozen meatballs with the sandwich. I could understand one time having a cold meal, but twice?
I ordered this with Grub Hub. My sub was wrapped so tight all the cheese melted out and the sub bun was soggy and a ton of sauce. The delivery driver needs to follow instructions. Not really impressed
Great sandwiches and extremely creative. David, the owner, is extremely nice and has a really great attitude.
The sandwiches are amazing and all the names are very clever! As a Marine mom and daughter, I appreciate the atmosphere and sent some pictures to my son. He can’t wait to get home and try it out! The owner was so nice and came to our table to check and make sure everything was perfect. The lady at the counter was so friendly as well.
Had lunch at this place today. I have been meaning to visit, but today was finally the day.I met the owner David, and what a story! OIF Army vet, homelessness, and then a businessman. What is unique about this story was that he started the business because he needed money to continue supporting his non-profit to support homeless veterans, “we got your six”.So many little personal touches are part of this store. I urge anyone in or passing through Denton to definitely check them out, and if you’re a veteran, you’ll fall in love. (Thank me later) Sandwiches are good too! Don’t believe me, believe the judges. Denton’s best new restaurant 2020.
Local veteran owned business. Food was good. Big sandwich for what i got. Will come again!
One of the best sandwich experiences Ive had in a long time. Not alot of genuine SANDWICH spots around like that and this particular one has the coolest military themed setting Ive ever had the chance to sit in on . 6 out of 5 to be bluntly honest and the sauces are so unique! Gotta stop by and show them some support the same way we support our troops! God bless this establishment and everything they stand for !
What a GREAT sandwich shop. It is hard to find just a sandwich shop that makes such a delicious sandwich that is so fresh with so many choices. Not only do you get a great sandwich, but so much to look at and read. All the military is represented. We got the privilege of meeting the owner who is a veteran himself and is passionate about the military, supporting veterans, his sandwich shop and it shows! We will be back to support him and the military!
Ive been hearing about how great this place is and decided to try it today, it is outstanding! Its Veteran owned which I support.
It was good to go support a local small business in area. The owner opened the place as a way of giving back to fellow Millardy ppl. He himself used to be a homeless veteran at point. Its nice he got on his feet and actually opened this restaurant 1mth b4 covid shutdown. I actually heard of the place from mu next door app someone had posted of this place 1wk ago so I went actually last week and plan on going back Monday to pickup 2 sandwiches from there.😊
Absolutely stellar sandwiches had the Better than an MRE with sweet siracha on an employee recommendation and it was stellar employee attitude and performance is also above and beyond I will be back and i would highly recommend this place to my friends
This place has such a unique feel and an awesome mission! Love their food and friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a delicious local sandwich!
The sandwich and salad we ordered were great!! Cant wait to go back! 🙂
Great food, great service.
Excellent sandwich! The service was great as well! Definitely worth the visit!
Great service and great sandwiches!
Amazing from start to finish. Staff and the food are incredible, and its for such a great cause. A+ highly recommended
I went there because it a small local business and I believe in supporting them. However this wasnt my cup of tea.
Good food, clean, good atmosphere, and a great cause. Got a chance to talk to the owner, who is a veteran and is a very passionate supporter of military and law enforcement. Ill definitely be back.
Hate to be the first one to give this place a single star... but have to. Service was not up to par. Seemed very unenthusiastic to be working and greeted customers with a lethargic Hi... welcome in.Sandwich was just like the ones I make at home. I really almost walked out after walking in, but love to try new places and talked myself out of it. Cant believe I paid $10 for it. Salute and prayers for our troops. Great atmosphere, but food and service fall short.
Drove up from Dallas after reading an article on Facebook about this place and am I glad we did. Not only do they honor the military, first responders, policemen, and firemen, but they also make awesome sandwiches. They have very unique sauces with tons of flavor, I had the sweet sriracha with the flying leatherneck and my girlfriend had the meatball sub which had tons of flavor and really good seasoning. The owner, David, introduced himself when we walked in and was super nice. Will definitely be driving back from Dallas to go here again!
Awesome food.
Got carry out sandwiches, wow!! Generous size sandwich and delicious! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was ready quick.
I had the wild blue yonder on wheat. Great sandwich and seems like a great company. Can’t wait to try the other sandwiches. rah.
Awesome place with an awesome purpose and amazing food! If you have the opportunity you should definitely check them out!
Only been here for the first time recently. Really good.
First time in today and it wont be my last! Sandwiches are delicious!
As a veteran i love seeing veterans start their own companies. i was very excited to try this place. when i first walked in i wasnt greeted along with people that walked in at the same time in front of me. the customer service was very poor, coming from a veteran owner i had higher standards and thought their employees would take more pride in their work and job. Also while i was there i found out the owner of the company says a portion of the money earned and donated goes to we got your six non profit, which he also owns and manages. as a business owner and professional to me that seems like double dipping and borderline unethical to promote you are doing good for the veteran community ( im not saying hes not) and taking donations for a non profit that is run by the owner as well. whos to say all the funds arent being miss used for personal gain or if the business is struggling to put that money in to pay rent or bills for the company or personal expenses.i would like to see this company grow and succeed but for the that customer service has to improve and would be great to see him support other veteran non profits and not his own.
Best sandwiches in Texas!!!!!! Friendly, jovial staff. Best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Try the into the blue yonder on wheat bread with picked, misquote bbq sauce, and habanero sauce. Sweet, Smokey, and just the right amount of spice.
Awesome place! Great subs, cool atmosphere for you military type people. Ill be going again!
The place is very military themed. Not an issue at all, but just be advised because there is a lot of it.3-star is due to under-cooked meatballs.
Great food and exceptionally great service. Thank yall!!
I was in again yesterday...Still Outstanding!OUTSTANDING Idea and fantastic food!!!!!! ALL the BEST & Thank You for what youre doing and have done in the past.
Food and service was amazing. A portion of the sales goes to house homeless vets in the area. I highly recommend checking them out. Dont be like digplants with his ignorant review complaing about the military decor. The business is called Patriot Sandwich Company.....If you dont like it then stay out
Excellent food and yes it supports the military so I’m a 100 percent in....Go and try their food it’s really tasty and worth the drive and the time....And, the atmosphere makes it even better....Try the In the trenches!!!
The food was amazing the bread is really fresh the meats are really fresh the cheeses and the veggies the only complaint is the slow work speed and maybe put the Mayo in a Squeeze bottle so it covers more
Great food, atmosphere and mission to serve others.
Great food, great place to eat.
Ive been several times and tried several of the sandwiches. Excellent and consistent quality food and service.
Good food, great experience!
Friendly staff making the best sandwiches!
Fantastic sandwiches and the custom sauces are outstanding!
Very friendly and great food.
It was great!!!
Great place.
Great sandwiches!
Great👍
Great sandwiches
Ive been wanting to try the Patriot Sandwich Company for a while now. Sunday it was featured on a show called the Texas bucket list. The owner (Army Vet) was an amazing story so I decided to give it a try. First off the shop is amazing. Its like a museum of military memorabilia, the was even a wall dedicated to my beloved Marine Corps. The sandwiches and sauces have great names. I had the Better Than an MRE (Roast beef, cheddar, smoked turkey, muenster cheese) with stinger sauce (Honey mustard horseradish) and it was amazing. There are a lot of great sounding sandwiches on the menu I need to try. So if you want to support a great veteran owned business, have a great sandwich and help support a great charity called I got your six, then this is your place. The owner was there when I went and he is a great person, friendly and loves what he does. Lets help keep this place going.
