Elexis was such a pleasure!!! I come in all the time but Ive only recently seen her, so Im guessing shes a new employee. She always has the most beautiful smile and a pleasant disposition. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to makeup products! She is such a gem! I will definitely continue shopping here, because its hard to find great customer service like Elexis gives! I get my hair cut by Caroline in the salon, she does an amazing job!! She’s so professional, and friendly. She even goes out of her way to recommend products. I don’t get my hair colored, but she does amazing at that as well!! Highly recommend.

Sarah was AMAZING! She not only helped me find a new foundation but found one below my budget that works WAAAAY better than my old higher priced one. She tried out multiple kinds on my skin, trying it on areas that were my highest concern with redness and acne. She handed me my own wipes to wipe off my face inbetween products which THANK YOU! Nothing worse than a MUA that scrubs your makeup off for you. All of this was great but the best part was that she included my 4 yr old son in the whole process. She got down to her knees to show him her putting the product on the sponge, educating him on what she was doing and why the entire time. She went above and beyond for a person only spending $20 bucks. Little did she know that I have worked retail for over 10 years, owned my own store and managed associates and my goodness, I would give her a promotion. She was phenomenal and so sweet the whole time, not to mention cute as a button with her green hair and unique goth vibe. Loved her! Thanks again!

I attempted to go in with my 4 year old. We did have a basket and was CHARGED AT by the African American female cashier. She was rude, unprofessional and in fact scared my child to the point she was in tears. This behavior is not acceptable! No where on the door does it state no baskets. This employee was so out of line.i know they have a high theft rate but this behavioral towards someone is just un called for.I will be filing a formal complaint with their CEO, The ADA, BBB AND anything other agency i can.

Unfortunately I had to visit this Store for some quick gifts my first experience with this location was not good. When I walked in everything was OK I picked up what I needed and went to check out and unfortunately it happened again I was encountered by a very rude person again if you work in customer service you must be a little more friendly respectful if you do not like working in customer service please just stay away. For something that you actually do like. The person that checked me out was Sierra or Ciera not Sure how it is spelled I took a quick glance at her name tag. But She was extremely rude.... The Store manager or store supervisor really needs to train better. Please!!!!

I ordered a flat iron online from ulta. They charged me twice. I called the customer service number they told me to just return the flat iron here at the store and that they were sorry for that mishap. I go to this ulta to return a package that was delivered to me less than 2 hrs ago and the clerk gives me a hard time of returning it bc she said i ordered it through PayPal and PayPal changes the last 4 digits of your card number for security purposes so you physical card you have right now doesn’t match the last 4 it was purchased with online bc of PayPal. So she told me to call PayPal, my bank, all of these other places making way more difficult that what was explained on the phone.

I’ve been feeling really icky lately and thought maybe some new makeup would give me the pick up I need. Boy, when I tell you after leaving this Ulta I felt 10x worse. I walked in and it was about 7-10 white customers who were shopping around. I wasn’t in the store for two minutes when an associate asked me do I need help. I respectfully told her no. I brushed it off. Well I went up and down looking for that perfect makeup. Each and every time I looked up it was that same associate eyeing me down. She asked again do I need help....twice!! I told her no. About two minutes passed after her asking me when another associate asked me do I need help. This time he was really rude about it for no reason at all. I am a woman of color and it made me feel like a common criminal. I had money to pay but why give my money to such a poor establishment. I will say I have shopped in Ulta in Kansas City MO, Houston TX, Dallas TX and never received this type of treatment. I’m disappointed and in hopes the associate get trained properly.

Curbside pick up at this location is a joke. I waited in my car for 20 minutes and eventually just went inside. When I walked in the two girls at the checkout didn’t even have anyone in line and were just standing there talking. I did curbside so that I wouldn’t have to bring my baby out of the car, but still had to anyways. Very annoying.

Im a secret shopper and for the most part friendly but instead of suggesting or actually help you, they will ask if you need help 20million times in a stalkerish are you stealing way. Literally following people around instead of suggesting products. It was a let down and kinda weird! They are out of a lot of products and their displays are empty and messy.

This place is good but not great. I come here pretty much 100% of the time if I need to replace some makeup. Although there is a wide selection of merchandise, it is kind of disappointing because half of the time they don’t have what I want in stock. I really don’t like ordering makeup online because I like to see what I am buying in person before I buy it, so they kind of are slacking on that part. Otherwise, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the store is usually very clean.

The service I received at this location when buying shelf products was horrible. Both employees and store manager are rude and need to learn customer service technics. Let me first state that I waited 20 min. in line to check out before this started. An item was incorrectly stocked on the self appearing to be on sale and then I was charged 2.5x as much as shown on the tab in front of the item. I explained that I wanted a refund, but was told by associate #1 you should read the tag (which I did prior to purchasing and everything matched except a few initials on the tag that meant body butter instead of scrub apparently I missed that). Associate #1 again blamed the customers stating customers move this stuff around all the time, I totally understand that, but not when EVERYTHING behind the tab is the same scrub item and not the body butter which I pointed out and she became mad. She refused to acknowledged that the shelf was stocked incorrectly continually blaming the unseen customer. Upon stating again that I wanted a refund, she promptly pointed me to the end of the line which I had just waited in for 20 min. and told me that if i wanted a refund, I need to wait in the line AGAIN. I refused and walked out. I then while waiting outside the store made a call to the store manager who was equally as difficult who eventually told me hurry and come back in as there is no line at this moment otherwise you will need to wait in line. Once inside the manager acted just as rude as Associate #1, I explained that they need to work on how they speak to customers and their customer service attitude. The manager did give me a full refund, but would only rudely say feel free to take the survey - have a good day. I was having a great day until I walked into Ulta which will not happen again. Over and done with that. For those looking to buy beauty products, if you expect any type of cordial employees, look elsewhere as it isnt happening here.

Very professional staff. I visited the salon and was very impressed with the service I received. The staff is very friendly and they were very professional. I was asked repeatedly if I liked the progress of the style I requested and was told the product names being used (also by request). They are very accommodating, and I wish I could remember the name of the sweet girl who did my hair to give her a shout out.

The variety of product in this store is fine, some lines they phase out and you dont know, or other brands you cant find. The problem I have with this location is the customer service. If you go in on any day/evening other than a Saturday good luck. I went in looking for help on Wednesday night, looking for some face products. I couldnt get anyone to pay attention to me, to stop stocking shelves and help me, or to even look my way. This is not the first, second or even third time this has happened. If your customers leave frustrated and without buying-there will be no shelves to stock.

I was accused of stealing without any evidence cause they way I dress. They called most of the stores next to them and told them me and my friends were shoplifters. They didn’t have any pictures or video evidence and didn’t ask to search the bag which we would’ve let them do. I now am scared to shop in that area🤠

I usually never write reviews, but I had to talk about my experience at this location. First of all the staff was friendly but the cashier Michael spent close to an hour helping me pick out my foundation. I mean we tried various brands all over the store and he didnt mind at all. He was so funny, kind, and personable. If you ever need help with picking the right makeup at Ulta, I recommend asking for Michael if hes available. After almost 5-6 brands we finally find my shade and I couldnt thank him enough. Even after he was called to the back, another lady helped me and she was very friendly. I always love coming to this location because everyone is nice and so helpful!

I received a very unprofessional interaction with an associate. I had tried on some dry volume shampoo and asked my friend if she could find a mirror- so I could see if it worked. An associate passed by and looked at me and continued to walk pass me and made her way to the very front of the store.She then spoke very loud, across the entire store and said with an attitude Is that your bottle? (What an odd question, because who brings in their own product to Ulta to try on?)No, this is the tester. I replied. We dont have testers. She said with an attitude. She finally walked towards me, and held out her hand. Are you done with that? and reached out her hand, as if she wanted the product back and did not want me to have it anymore.No, Im not done I replied. She stared at me, and walked back up to the front. Are the bottles without lids not testers? I questioned, unsure of the answer... No. she said. Then she started to whisper and speak about our exchange to the other store associates.She was very defensive, rude and condescending. There was no need for her to address this issue across the ENTIRE store and then continue to talk about it to a group of associates.Think twice about coming to this location.EDIT: I reached out to customer service through Ulta, and was contacted by the Store Manager two days later. I appreciate Cassandra talking to me about the situation and she stated she spoke to the sales associate about her behavior.

I usually always find the products i need here from hairspray to mousse. Although the prices compared to amazon are vastly different (much higher) it has literally everything on the website in store. If u need anything in a hurry this is your store. However if u ever need help looking for products or help with advice on shade. Updated Review: I went back there today, and had such a lovely experience. I noticed a lot of changes in their customer service compared to last time. This time, I actually had multiple associates greeting me & interested in helping me. I was most impressed by the MAC associate Heather. She provided exceptional service. She was very patient with me & answered all of my questions. She really helped me find a lot of products & gave me tips on how to use them. I spent over $100, but it was worth it for the service i received.

Went to Ulta to pick out a few things and was helped by Brandon the Mac Consultant. Brandon is AMAZING!!! Cheerful and easy to talk to, Brandon helped me find a bunch of cool stuff as well as gave me great tips on both skincare and makeup. Its really awesome to see new faces at this Ulta, and Im so so excited that they hired Brandon. I spent about 30 minutes total in the store and was not once greeted by any of the employees. They all stood near the doors, front and center, holding bags for customers they never acknowledge, while 10 other people and myself wandered around trying to find products in this giant store.I even made eye contact with one (she had highlighter yellow hair) when I came close to where they were talking to try on a product. She smiled and looked away to keep talking. Great sales tactic. 20 minutes later, when I finally found what I had come for, I made for the register to check out and place an order for a concealer they were out of stock on.The cashier was nice until she tried to get me to buy the eyeshadow palette I found in store online instead, because I would get a free highlighter. If I had wanted to do that, I wouldn’t have made the trip out here in the first place. I said, no thanks I don’t need one and she said but it’s free. I got that the first time and again told her I don’t need it, explaining I already had two highlighter palettes at home and I should use up those first before getting another. She gave me a weird face and then continued to check me out with something like an exasperated manner, as if I was being unreasonable all of a sudden. Yesh.

Not customer friendly. They marked some eyeliner wrong and I told him the cashier it said $6.99. Some chick walked back (maybe the manager, but she didn’t identify herself) and said it’s $10.99. And I told her the peg said $6.99. She said the price was somewhere else.... then dumbly stared at me. I didn’t want to argue with her so I paid the $10.99 and left. Stupid to lose a customer over their pricing mistake and $4.00 but I won’t go back to a store that doesn’t display their prices properly and won’t make it right with the customer for their own mistake. And the chick’s huge eye roll as she slithered back into whatever hole she crawled out of didn’t help either.Ultra, you should vet your store leaders better.

I went in this afternoon with a coupon for free bare minerals lip gloss. The store representative advised me I couldnt use it at their store. Instead of offering me another promotion or product to make my trip to the store worthwhile, she advised me I should have read the fine print. They had a whole cabinet of free samples so I am sure they had other promotions and specials. But I left there empty handed and never wanting to go back to that store again. It was a waste of time and a little embarrassing because this all happened in front of other customers.

I love Ulta in general, however, nevere before have I walked up to the counter to check out and then wanted to walk away and not give them my business. The staff behind the counter was talking about (more like complaining about) who wanted to work what hours. As a young professional myself I understand the complaints. However, when it’s time to interact with the customer waiting to give you business it’s time to STOP TALKING. The girl checking me out asked for my phone number twice because when I gave it to her the first time she was STILL taking part in the conversation. Then when I asked her about a product I was looking for she pointed to a wall and said “it would be over there”.....ok thanks. I won’t be coming back.

As a man with absolutely 0 knowledge of beauty and make up in general I find it very stressful to walk into a beauty superstore like ulta and try to find the products my wife asks me to purchase for her. For some reason the employees at this location just completely ignore me even though I spend upwards of $1000 a month here on products for myself, wife and daughter. Not really sure how to make myself more approachable outside of striking up a friendly conversation with the employees when I happen to surprise them and they dont get a chance to avoid eye contact.

Came in for a simple blow-out before my best friends wedding...I had an appointment and had to wait 30 minutes.The lady that did my blow out was super nice, but had zero skills. My hair came out flat!! I only had a limited time to be at the salon, and I was pushing it to get to the wedding. I told the lady that I get blow outs often and what she did was NOTHING like that, I also spoke with the manager. They were wanting me to pay the $60, and then would give me a discount next time I come in. I said no to both because I never plan on returning there. We argued back and forth and I finally walked out, I wasnt going to pay $60 for poor service and poor management.I do not recommend this salon.

I recently had a baby & have been feeling so self conscious. Haven’t been able to get my weight off. I never do anything to myself because I just don’t feel pretty anymore. I went into Ulta with hopes of just finding a little something to make me feel better. I have been suffering from post-partym depression & just feeling so horrible about my appearance. I used to wear MAC in highschool & noticed that they had started carrying MAC products so that was my first stop. I was so glad that I did because a gentleman named Brandon helped me SO much. He helped me find the perfect shade of foundation. He not only found all of the perfect products for me, but he taught me along the way. Taught me exactly how to apply the products, taught me several tips/tricks that made a huge difference. He taught me how & where to apply bronzer. I ended up spending way more $ than I had intended to, but my experience with Brandon was something that I have never experienced in a makeup store before. I usually get looked at like I am stupid when I ask questions .. but he answered every question I had so thoroughly & so kindly. He applied different products to my face & made me feel so beautiful. I was so excited to go to church this morning & put everything on the way he taught me to. I got so many compliments about how great I looked. I want to give the biggest thank you to Brandon for making me feel so beautiful & helping me find the perfect products for my skin type/ tone. I have had some not so pleasant experiences in the past with this Ulta location & was nervous about going in there, but I will definitely be going back & sending all of my friends to see Brandon! Most of the staff never acknowledges you and seems annoyed if you ask them to check on a product. The store has been this way since day one. I doubt it will change. There have been 1 or 2 staff members that have been nice but it is few and far between.Also, dont ever get your eybrows done here...they overcharge you and the girl who did mine was quiet unpleasant. She made sure I knew how flawed my brows were. I guess this was to make her look like my savior but I hated what she did. She put way too much eyebrow makeup on me when she was done.If they werent the only place that carried IT Cosmetics, Id probably quit shopping here altogether. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because of the products they carry.

I love the Ulta in Denton! The store itself is wonderful & the staff are always helpful. As far as the salon, Chantel has been keeping my pixie cut looking amazing since I cut it back off...even fixing it from where another stylist at a different salon (closer to where I was moving) had butchered my hair! Im not sure why there are so many negative reviews because this store is wonderful!

Ive never been there, but I literally just called to ask a question and after waiting for an answer they hung up on me. I buy A LOT of beauty products, but because of that one interaction I will NEVER buy from them. Sallys all the way.

Ive never had my hair done at Ulta, so I cant really comment as to that. I like the Brow Bar. I found an employee, Dayna, who was AWESOME. She made great suggestions, did not try to upsell and was never pushy. If you ever go to Florida, go to the Ulta flagship store in Winter Park. They are on top of it. Very conscious of their image. Bree was the one who always helped me and she was the best. Most of the employees at the Denton store struck me as being young and not aesthetically inclined. I do consider Sephora every now and then........

I placed an order on 1 December for a Christmas gift and I received a deal for cyber Monday to receive a free gift. I got a call saying they couldn’t deliver the gift at that time so they me $25 credit to Ulta And said that I would be hearing from management in 24 hours to figure out how to get the gift to me. I was supposed to receive my package on 19 December and then I got an email saying that it would be delayed until the 24th. I hope I get my package before Christmas as it is a gift for somebody very special.

Ive been in here twice and both times have been incredibly lackluster. The first time the sales lady didnt even understand what nonoxidizing meant when I was shopping for foundation and powder, which I dont think is the most complicated thing to know if you work with makeup. Yesterday I tried again since their website said they sold powder dip nail kits after Walmart just up and stopped selling theirs right after they started selling them for whatever reason. I asked when I went in, and one sales lady pointed me to the two they carried. She was really sweet and smiley, and definitely looked like a stylish pro, and the only reason Im giving the extra star. One kit was open and had the activator swiped out of it, rendering it useless. And of course the activator separately was sold out. They were unaware of both of these things. The other kit required a UV light they also didnt carry. (the Color Club that I got from Walmart didnt need one) They really didnt know what any of these products needed to work or if they had them. Not to mention my entire trip was VERY reasonable price wise.. Because there was nothing to buy! Entire displays were EMPTY, like several of them. It was extremely discouraging to see at least 20 testers of cute things, and then they were wiped of all of them. The lady working the register was yawning when I was in line. Try not to look too excited to be at work, jeez. What happened to enthusiasm and customer service? I mentioned how picked through the store was, laughing when she asked if I found everything OK, yeah, of what there was to find haha. And all she said was a disinterested, yeah its been busy today. No sorry or asking what was out so they could tell me when it would be back in stock. I know its hard to be aware of everything in your store, but I swear these employees were all working their first day there. I myself faced some of the displays where everything was out of order and a mess. The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish they recommended to me was awful and I dont know how they could straight up lie and tell me it was popular and everyone loved it, when after being frustrated with it, I looked up reviews online that gave similar feedback to my experience. Nobody liked it, so clearly theyre just saying that to sell it. Do the employees here even use the products they sell?! There was no excitement to shopping here, everything was out of stock, the cheaper brands were like $2 more than youd pay for them at Kroger or Walmart, the salespeople for the most part obviously didnt want to be here, and had little knowledge of their store. Id just stick to CVS and Sallys for everything, Ill honestly say the Sallys staff is always friendly and well informed of their products.

Workers all around and no one bothers to see if you need help. They act like no one is in the store and just talk to each other. Items supposedly in Stock according to the website are not. They need to learn customer service. If you hate your job that much than get a new one.

So I went in for a makeover. I was ready to spend big bucks for a new look. Im getting a bit older, so I was ready for a change. The girl in the prestige cosmetic area actually told me to go home and look at youtube videos on makeup for older women, rather than just helping me. She cost her store a lot of money that day. I went right to Macys and the lady at the Lancome counter was more than happy to help me and sold me some beautiful products. Wow! I was just stunned, not to mention that my feelings were really hurt.

Im giving 2 stars only because the lady who welcomed me was super friendly and helpful but I will not shop in store in Denton ever again. It was my first time ever in any Ulta store. I went in for more Lancome foundation, so she got me a Lancome representative to help me shop. I asked about two different foundations and the girl could not give me advice on them other than which one was her personal favorite. Then left. I absolutely wasted my time. The next time I dont want to wait for shipping again, I will just shop in store at Sephora.

Just came from having my daughters hair done at Ulta store in Denton, Texas. We couldnt have been more pleased. Caitlyn was my daughters hairdresser, great job and we loved her. Never going to the salon again for color. I booked with their expert colorist and I asked for subtle thin dark red highlights on my dark brown hair, and to keep most of the brown. I had pictures of the cut and style of highlights I wanted. I had also discussed how I did not want bleach on my hair and would just opt for a haircut if it had to be used to get the red, but had it done there before without bleach. She showed me a few red swatches and we chose the one that would work best for what I was going for. Apparently there was a communication breakdown somewhere in there and she did use bleach, which I was unaware of until it was too late. She had done my hair many times a year back so I figured Id wait to see how it came out since she always nailed what I asked for. When she was done drying my hair, it was super splotchy, bright red, pinkish-orange everywhere, and severely damaged. Practically none of the dark hair was remaining and she didnt even show me the back with a mirror. When it came to pay, it came out to $187 when I was originally quoted $100. I went home and debated using box hair dye and thats when I realized the cut was really choppy too. I ended calling the salon and going there the next day for a redo, but she wasnt there so a different stylist helped me. She was very sympathetic and said she could only do the cut because she was so worried after examining the color, that it was too messed up for her to fix. She even took photos of the back and pointed out bleach spots that I hadnt seen yet! She did an excellent job on the cut and explained she thought it was best that her manager does the color the next day so I made an appointment. I went back again the following day and a stylist I had never had seen before told me she was doing it because the manager doesnt like doing redos unless the client absolutely insists. Disappointed, I went along with it since I had an interview coming up and couldnt wait. She told me I looked like I was going to have an anxiety attack, that its just hair, she was going to give me what I wanted, and would fix it. I guess that was her idea of trying to make me feel better. I expressed my concern that it was already damaged and she said she was was great with color. Well, it ended up looking exactly the same before I even went in the first time and there of course there was even more damage. I was relieved that all the nasty colors were gone but it still was not what I paid for. I politely asked for the salon manager and discussed this with her and all she could tell me was that it would fade. I explained the situation in full and had asked for a refund. She was not having it and made it seem like everything was my fault. It would take even longer to go into detail about everything that she felt the need to point out, to say she was rude would be an absolute understatement! I went to corporate with my complaint since I wasnt getting anywhere with her. A few days later I received a call from the general manager who was a pleasure to talk to and I was given a full refund. I had to go back to the store unfortunately to do this and the cashier who processed it apologized. I decided to check out some things and buy one of the John Frieda color glosses that had a sale sign for $9.99. The same girl that processed my refund rang me up for it and it came out to $14 plus tax. I wasnt trying to be THAT difficult customer who is never satisfied, but I very politely let her know that there was a sign for $9.99 on the product. She continued to charge my card the $14, then I waited off to the side. She went to check, grabbed the sign, threw it in the trash, and didnt say a word to me. I never make complaints, but this was the worst experience I ever had there or at a salon. They really need to work on their customer service skills. Ulta is 10 minutes from my house and Im actually thinking about making the 45 minute drive to Sephora from now on. My hair faded to a brassy copper streaked blonde mess, looks terrible and its only been a few weeks since my redo! Box-dye for me :(
