Came here to look at guitars. My family has been purchasing our instruments from here since I was a small girl. Employee who unlocked the door for us decided to lecture us on making our two toddlers wear masks. Since it’s none of his business that our son has apraxia and can’t communicate through a mask we turned around and left. Found the guitar I wanted cheaper on Amazon. Won’t be coming back.

All listings of used items I was looking up that would show on the pictures scuffs, scratches, smudges or small cosmetic disperfections would mention those in the description as well. These guys are honest and would not try to hide anything just to make sales - and this is more an exception in the time we are living in. Both times I purchased the condition of the items even exceeded my expectation, the two were mint, like new, never found something like that in a local pawn store. A friend of mine told me these guys had a Les Paul for sale. So i decided to go check it out. What i found was a guy to busy playing with his phone to give me any help. So they can keep it. I left. Doubt i will ever go back. I try to never buy guitars at pawn shops, or used period. But i was going to break that rule.Pawn shops seem to be a place where problem guitars end up.they made the choice not to buy easy.

One of the best pawn shops in the world. Always something interesting for sale here. Two of the best guitars I’ve ever owned have come out of this place. Cody is also one of the sharpest guys in the game concerning many topics, but especially about music gear.

I went in for the 1st time the other day looking for a unique birthday present for my husband. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. The staff took the time to educate me on the item I was looking to buy, from the exact condition of the item, how to use the item, and the specs of the product. The quality of time that they spent with me made me feel confident in my purchase and the item I was buying. After all that, they even reassured me that if my husband did not end up liking the gift, that there would be no issue returning the item. Turns out, my husband loved the gift! Ive never really pawned and instrument before but I had an unexpected expense during my move to Texas and needed to figure out something until payday so I brought them an amp and two guitars and they gave me a better price than anyone offered anywhere else. They really were fair and werent trying to run Us in the ground. They gave us a good amount of what they are going to sell it for and they were very honest and forthcoming and let us make an offer. This is the most honest establishment for this kind of thing I have ever seen.

I had purchased an amplifier that McBride and I both thought was a good one. I later discovered one channel had distortion and Cody McBride refunded the purchase price. I would say this is one of the best pawn shops around to do business with. I would recommend McBride Music & Pawn.

Ive visited McBrides a lot since i moved to Denton a few years ago and have always enjoyed the staff and the customer service there. If youre going in expecting a Guitar Center experience where the staff is always up your butt and paid based on what they sell then maybe you should stick with that. If you want a laid back experience with staff that actually know their stuff and will work with you on pricing, McBrides Music & Pawn is a great little locally owned store where your money spent goes back into the community.

I bought a Breedlove Crossover mandolin from them. I had been watching this particular model for months and had ordered from a different retailer, but it had been back-ordered, and they never delivered. So I ordered from McBride at a significant amount below the retail price. However, I did not get what I thought I had ordered. I got more! The mandolin usually comes with a gig bag. McBride also send a $200 hard case. It is rate that a retailer exceeds expectations, and they did.
