Wow, did these guys deliver! My dash messages suddenly went wild and it seemed all of the systems on my Ford Econoline were failing. After a thorough check Lou discovered that an animal had nested in my vehicle and chewed through a ton of wires. After lots of troubleshooting and numerous repairs my van was up and running again. Competitive pricing, good communication, very professional! Cant ask for more in a mechanic.

It is Christmas Holiday Season which can be stressful enough. Also, in the process of buying a home to close on New Years Eve. My car is for an emissions test and suddenly my check engine light comes on. 🤦‍♀️😫Just moved in to a new neighborhood and needed to get my car looked at and fixed asap. So thankful to have driven by this place and looked it up...it had great reviews so I contacted them. They were friendly and answered any questions I had. Scheduled me for the same week. Great place. The owner gave me an honest opinion when my car broke down: It was too old to fix. He just gave me a cheap patch to the old car until I could buy a new one. And when I was doing a test-drive on a potential new car, he did a diagnostic on it for free. I fully expected to pay, but he said not to worry about it. I ended up not buying that car because it had many hidden problems. Got a much better deal on another one. So he saved me quite a bit of money in more ways than one. Just a really terrific place. If my new car ever has problems, Ill definitely use them again.

This company is extremely disorganized. The consultant and tech are great, but back office and their inexperience district manager are terrible. If you ever have the unfortunate experience of speaking to the DM, he talks to you like a friend, not a client, speaking down about his own staff and using foul langue. He also has no clue how to organize his own schedule. After signing the contract, no one followed up with me, yet somehow they put me on a schedule, including internal work, on a day that I was not even going to be home for. I kept having to call to ask questions about the process, about when people would show up and about the scheduling and no one could give me an answer. No one calls before they just show up, which is often late. Then, the tech drilled holes into my roof. When I asked how he planned to repair it, I was told with glue nails. I inquired with my very skilled roofers and was told that is an inadequate fix. The most effective way to fix holes of any kind is to replace the shingles. I called the DM and told him my displeasure-A) of not being told the full process and B) of my displeasure of their fix. He first asked me if my roofers were in fact legit, then told me that most roofs have holes and nails in them (um what kind of house do you live in buddy). Then he said well we arent roofers, but havent had a problem. Exactly, you are not roofers. He was rude and argumentative when I brought up my concerns. Instead of working with me, he said he was voiding the contract as he cannot live up to my standards. My standards include: Being organized, calling clients to schedule and not just picking days that work for you and FIXING your holes adequately. Holes in roofs wont cause leaks right away, but over time. As a young, inexperienced DM he has no clue what he is doing. I will never recommend this company. There are other companies who charge more but work MUCH more organized. DO NOT both with this company. Worthless. And to show how ineffective they are, no one told the tech today the cages were taken down, and he showed up spending an hour here wondering what happened. Communicate to your staff and be more organized. It is not the clients job to do this for you.

Simply the most honest, best auto service I have ever had. Matt and his team are the only place that has figured out the quirks of one of my cars. In addition, all the service has been done right. They explain exactly what they are doing and why. They charge $55 ($58.03 with tax) to look at your car. That amount is applied towards any repair work you have them do. I didnt have my car fixed there because I dont have the money, but they informed me of all the things that were wrong, and they gave me quotes on what it would cost to fix them. They seemed honest and thorough.

I took my car for a simple oil change which I though was going to take 20 minutes. Come to find out an hour later that the Certified Tech doing a simple job forgot to put my oil cap back on so when he started the car it flew out everywhere! Are these guys serious? Best part was the manger matt told me he will give me a free oil change! wow couldnt even tell me the mistake tried to hide it. I went there to check my car, was for saleThe buyer chose this place. I just change the transmission fluid with Atomic transmission in Villa park, the best guys in Chicagoland. They tell me that the transmission The guy in Truetech the name is Matt is absolud idiot tell me the transmission shift funny . He drove on a first gear. Absolut idiot. Dont go there. Dont wast you money there. The women come back in 3 minites and tell them her car have a check engine after the do some repair. Absolut unproffesional. Wast of money.

A number of family and friends in Des Plaines had recommended TrueTech to me. My dad in particular has been going to them the last few years at the old location off of NW Hwy. Ive got to tell you, I was not disappointed. They did a whole bunch of long overdue repairs, along with some scheduled maintenance. Virtually no markup on the parts, if any, and really reasonable labor. They easily saved me $800-1000 vs going to my previous mechanic. The best part was their customer service. I talked with Matt, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also found out that two other mechanics, Steve and Sean, I personally already knew through friends in town. They know their stuff and do quick, affordable work. They had a few customers that walked in while I was waiting for a ride to work. They seemed to know everyone and talked about their families and kids. It really shows that they are a part of the Des Plaines community, genuinely care about their customers, and are passionate about the work they do. Ive only taken my car there twice so far, but they have made a lifelong customer. I recommend True Tech to everyone I know in the NW suburbs. Also their new location off Dempster is really nice. Theyve got a bigger garage and classy waiting area with couches, TV, and coffee.
